Albion and Ddraig absolutely eternal rival, craving for power and domination, that should dragon has to be, a powerful and ancient being now sealed within a sacred gear and wielded by ordinary high schooler human, a boy named Issei Hyoudou.

It is no secret that besides the dragon that rules the world, there is another powerful entity called devil and angel. Since long time ago, the war between angel and devil were massively devastating, having both involved parties suffering a loss and damage, Satan and several high-class devils were slain and in the side of angel, the Supreme being and the one and only leader for Heaven killed by this everlasting war. The absence of Satan and God was causing a massive malfunction in both sides, losing a leader in faction would disrupt the whole of its system. Overcoming this problem, both sides applying new technologies that would help them gain strength after heavy casualties during the great war that killed a thousand of devil and angel.

Evil Piece is a new technology to replenish the number of devil forces by reincarnating human into a newborn devil. Evil pieces are based on the chest system, where there will be a king, queen, bishop, knight, rook, and pawn. Each of pieces has its own uniqueness. While an angel has a similar technology that allows them to reincarnate a human into an angel called a brave saint. Brave Saint was created under Michael's supervision with the help of devil and fallen angel after the peace treaty was conducted. While another faction is Fallen Angel. Fallen angel is at most suffered faction, being involved in great war, however they are unable to gain a new recruited just like the evil pieces and brave saint, while fallen angel may provoke an angel to fall because committed a sin and thus gaining a new member of fallen angel. Fallen angel is notably because it is smallest faction compared to devil and angel.

Hyoudou Issei has a different condition while he was reincarnated as a dragon humanoid hybrid, instead reincarnated as devil and angel. Ddraig, the Welsh Dragon help him as a supreme being that sealed within sacred gear called Boosted Gear. Despite having a human body, but he has been reincarnated as the dragon humanoid hybrid, having an enhancement in his ability as well as in physical ability and with the help of Ddraig that reside in his sacred gear will give Issei a benefit in combat situation and notably being immune to darkness and light element will give an enhancement to his body further than angel and devil can do. The ability to shift the consciousness between Issei and his partner will help Issei further in mastering his sacred gear. Issei was reincarnated by Ddraig after he was killed by his ex, a fallen angel that stabbed him from his back. At first, he was targeted because he is the wielder of Longinus, the sacred gear that may deliver a devastating blow to God and Satan, Boosted Gear.

A certain high ranked devil, Rias Gremory would like to reincarnate him as her new pawn. Unfortunately, Issei has been reincarnated into dragon humanoid hybrid with the help of Ddraig and giving a denial for Gremory clan in attaining a new Longinus user.

Now, Issei has nothing to do after fulfilling his vendetta by killing his own ex, Raynare. But his life as a human in danger since he walks into the path of calamity surrounded by allies and enemies alike, both that help him and trying to steal the power from him, the power to kill God and Satan.

"You are 2 seconds late, Issei kun!"

A certain golden-haired woman yelled at brown-haired boy wielding his red gauntlet. The boy later was identified as Issei Hyoudou, known as Sekiryuutei. After the church destruction event, everything back to normal, no extraordinary news or even investigation was done by local police. Sekiryuutei on rampage for the last night, unleashing his power, his true power of red dragon emperor, that's a proper headline for the underworld news. And yes, Issei Hyoudou rocketing his name in the underworld, telling that this is the rise of Welsh Dragon, the Red Dragon Emperor. No wonder one of big devil family, the Gremory want to recruit Issei Hyoudou as a new member.

At first, Rias Gremory, sister of Sirzech Gremory and now being ascended to Satan throne called as Sirzech Lucifer, want to have Issei Hyoudou assembled in her peerage, Rias Gremory peerage. Issei was offered a pawn piece that has an ability to take a promotion whatever Issei wants which has its own advantages, despite considered as weakest piece compared to other pieces. But imagine a Longinus pawn which takes a promotion to queen may giving fatal damage when fully mastered, Godspeed-like when promoted to knight and toughest when he reaches rook. Boosted gear may reach its full potential when it is placed in the proper place such as rook piece. But this long-awaited dream must be forgotten by all member of Rias Gremory peerage when Issei reject their offering.

Without any faction siding to, Issei will choose the human path which he believes this is the right path, even though he is not protected by Rias Gremory peerage as he denies the idea of being fully reincarnated into a devil. Survival at its finest, Issei trying to reach his potential as Sekiryuutei with the help of his sister and his newly recruited friend, Jeanne.

As a person who has more experiences with combat and battle, Jeanne taught Issei how to fight properly, mainly hand to hand combat as well as swordsmanship training though it is the basic one. Sekiryuutei has various attack patterns, from melee attack to long-range attack as Issei has demonstrated through a laser beam fired by his gauntlet known as Dragon Shoot. Jeanne told Issei about the potential of sacred gear that has an ability to evolve its power known as Balance Breaker. When she told him that he has ability to transform himself to superpower human covered in scale mail or fully covered in armor, his enthusiasm growing rapidly and asking how to reach this balance breaker.

"So, how do you get this balance breaker, Jeanne?"

"Balance Breaker triggered by a desire, emotion, determination, and faith for those who seek power no matter what their reason. At first, it is not easy to reach your first balance breaker, because most people do not know what balance breaker really is. Balance breaker is not about how good your technique will be, it is not about how far your training with your sacred gear, but your determination in using this sacred gear, for whatever reason that will pump your determination and transferred into your sacred gear"

Jeanne gives a hint for Issei which clueless about her explanation. Smile crafted in her lips while she starts to tie her hair to make it shorter.

"So, it is not impossible for me to reach my balance breaker, right? If I have my own determination and faith in using this sacred gear, right?" Ask Issei while he drinks an isotonic.

"Fight for what you think is right. Pour all of your passion in defending what you think right, so you will know what is meant by determination" Jeanne replied while she unsheathed her rapier.

"Trust me Issei-kun, you will get what you want if you put all of your determination inside your power. Don't worry, I won't go so soon. I just want to see you growing better and eventually reaching all of those potentials inside you"

Issei's cheek blushing slightly and he smiles to her, showing his determination in giving his trust in her.

"Yeah, thanks to you, Jeanne. Without you, I won't see my sister again. So right now, shall we continue? I can see you are ready with your rapier in your hand"

"You're right. Let's go and give me your best!"

Both continue their training.

Unknown Place in Underworld

"Vali, it is confirmed destruction happened in location known as Japan occurred. There is no one reporting, this is unusual" A certain glassed man with a blade in his hips secretly talks to a high tall, silver-haired man who has a white gauntlet like Sekiryuutei. He is a man known as Hakuryuukou or the Vanishing Dragon, a rival of Sekiryuutei, this man chuckled casually.

"As it must be, the long-life rival of mine. Both heavenly dragons are destined to fight each other, to gain superiority. Albion also craving more fight when it comes to Sekiryuutei and I wonder, how strong Sekiryuutei in this generation or called Hyoudou Issei?"

"I don't know, Vali. Fate will be entwined you and him soon" Replied a glasses man with a blade sheathed in his waist.

"Gear up, Arthur. We will depart soon from this place" A man known as Vali open the door and his subordinate followed him from behind.

"Yes, boss!"

Kuoh Academy

Occult research club is one of a popular club in Kuoh academy, it is not because how unusual a student researching unseen and unscientific things, but the member itself attracts many people. The club is founded by Rias Gremory and Himejima Akeno, a top popular student in Kuoh academy, also followed by Yuuto Kiba, a charming prince which has an unlimited girl follower, and Koneko Toujou, petite girl with moe aura which has her own charisma. Then, there is a new member of Occult Research Club, a devoted nun converted into devil because a request from a friend of her, Asia Argento. If Rias Gremory plan is working, Issei Hyoudou will be a sixth new member of Occult Research Club.

"Rias sama, you have an appointment with Riser sama for next week. Make sure you will welcome him well" A blonde woman in servant-like clothes emerges from teleportation made by devil as shown earlier by Rias's teleportation. This woman calls Rias Gremory with an honorific name, indicating she respects Rias Gremory.

"Not you again. Sigh, Grayfia could you just stop remind me of Riser appointment? That man is worth nothing" Rias slightly irritated when she replied a woman called Grayfia about the appointment.

"I am sorry, Rias sama. But this is an order from your father and agreement between Gremory and Phenex clan to hold a marriage. I cannot intervene, for I am a mere servant" A night moon illuminate this silver-haired woman as both continue their conversation.

"Grayfia, could you help me?" There is a slight of despair tone in Rias voice. Grayfia noticed and smiling a bit, indicating that there might be help available for Rias.

"I can make an arrangement for Riser sama to hold a rating game"

"Rating game? But we will lose instantly when my team fighting him! At least I need one or two additional members to make this game fair to us. Strategy alone won't help us when we are outnumbered" Rias could not help but pleading for another option instead of playing rating game.

"I see. I heard you are on the way to recruit new Longinus users. Would he alone enough to boost your team?"

When Grayfia ask her on this, Rias suddenly went silent for a second.

"He is new sekiryuutei" Grayfia eyes widen for a second when Sekiryuutei mentioned by Rias Gremory. Unknown to her, Sekiryuutei in this era was Issei Hyoudou, none other than Rias' junior which she failed to be recruited to her peerage. Grayfia moves to the sofa which available in the room and taking sit to calm herself for a bit before continuing conversation, while Rias makes some tea to cheer up herself because it is another bad day for her after losing an opportunity to recruit a new Longinus user.

"So, is he in your squad now, Rias sama?" Asked Grayfia while she drinks a tea made by Rias.

"No. Too bad he left me desperately and I am so lost right now" Rias replied Grayfia question desperately. Rias eyes reddening and start to drop a tear, feeling both sad and disappointed.

"So, he remains as human? How this man adapts to a new situation as he never got an experience to host a dragon-like this before?"

"He is now what is called Human Dragon hybrid, at least he mentioned that before" Rias took a tissue and wipe her teary eyes as she continued her conversation. Grayfia tried to understand what is explained by Rias and looking a solution for Rias to take. Albeit being a servant for Gremory clan, Grayfia never failed to help the family through many problematic matters and she knows that Rias will not accept a person as Raiser to marry Rias even though the goal is to make a new bridge between Phenex clan and Gremory clan unite under one new family.

Gremory is a famous and big family known for its Aura of Destruction power and one of its family members, Rias' elder brother, Sirzech Gremory now ascended to a new throne as Satan, the prominent figure in the underworld. People acknowledge Gremory not only for the fame they gained, but the power within the house is cannot be ignored and underestimated. This goes same as Phenex clan. Phenex clan has a unique trait which related to immense regeneration power. Regeneration in physical damage cannot found in another high-class devil house. By the idea of marriage between Rias and Raiser, will strengthen both Gremory and Phenex house. But the plan likely will not meet a good term for Rias.

In order to refuse Phenex clan proposal, Gremory in the name of Rias' peerage must find a good technique of negotiation, it is the last resort option, to held rating games. The goal is solely on winning the rating game, for that reason Rias must make powerful army of the devil within her peerage. Sekiryuutei is the only key for winning and fill the empty position in Rias' peerage.

Rias desperately has to accept the fact that she already loses even before the game started, but only one condition will turn the table and do the favor for Rias and for that she will sacrifice her pride wholeheartedly.

"No matter what happened, I must win this fight even if I have to fight Sekiryuutei with my own hand" Rias muttered before she starts to disappear into the night darkness.

Sorry for disappearing for too long and now I want to back to my Fanfiction. Remind me for one helluva story of Highschool DxD cuz I haven't read the series for a long long time.
