The 110th Hunger Games.

24th: Ellis Linnel of District Eight.

23rd: Shepmore Terrace of District Ten.

Most of Panem, and most of the other tributes, saw them as Bloodbath fodder. Their alliance – this year's young children banding together – was heartwarming. However, the two separate Career alliances didn't care; they had something to prove to the other.

Sasha plunged her sword deep into Ellis' stomach. Priscus grabbed Shepmore, threw him on the ground, and plunged a spear into his chest. The score was even now.

22nd: Lenina Rosetti of District Eleven.

Caia needed to participate in the Career-rivalry. Swiftly grabbing a bow-and-arrow, Caia knocked an arrow and released it, right into Lenina's back. Lenina fell forward, her allies making the life-or-death choice to try to help her or to run away. Her alliance was smart, unlike the others still at the Bloodbath. It was the Careers' territory now.

21st: Denton Irving of District Six.

For Luran, at least, Denton's death was quick and painless. Luran swung his sword, slicing Denton's arm, and in a heroic and reckless act, Denton barreled forward, tackling Luran to the ground. Denton managed to get a punch to Luran's jaw before Luran had him lying on the floor in his own blood.

Luran almost felt bad, but it was a competition, after all.

20th: Felicity Lynch of District Six.

19th: Porter Moreau of District Three.

They should have left. They shouldn't have tried to save Ellis or Shepmore. Caia, Bronte, and Sasha found them, hunched over their allies' bodies. Felicity looked up and noticed the Careers coming towards them, and Felicity tried to get Porter's attention. Feeling the pressure to make her first kill, Bronte threw a knife right into Felicity's chest. Porter hesitated for one second too long, and Sasha pinned him down, choking him.

Porter squirmed under her body weight, and Sasha reached out to Bronte for a knife, and slit his throat. The girls now had one more kill than the boys.

Caia, Bronte, and Sasha got up, and as they turned around, they noticed that Lincoln, Priscus, and Luran were behind them. After exchanging banter, taunts, and insults, they all agreed it wasn't the right time. They were fatigued and they wanted to continue their competition.

The Bloodbath was over.

18th: Damien Novak of District Eleven.

Axton, Kelvin, Troy, and Damien were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They ran into Vaida, Aisling, and Fiora. They all stood there, awaiting the others' move. Suddenly, the lights began to flash, electric sparks flying everywhere. They all took that as a sign to flee, but in the mess of them all trying to run away, Aisling and Damien collided.

Aisling swung her knife, cutting through Damien's shirt, and he threw out his arms to push her away. They scrambled to get up, and Aisling latched onto his shirt, pulling him back towards her. She glanced over her shoulder, seeing that her allies were waiting for her, and she wasted no time. She plunged the knife into his neck, got up, and ran away.

There was no time to realize what she had done.

17th: Charis Arville of District Eight.

16th: Axton Ivers of District Seven.

Charis and Axel heard heavy footsteps coming their way. They hid, and as Axton, Kelvin, and Troy approached them, they whispered to one another. They didn't know what to do.

That was until Axton spotted Charis' hair, and thinking it was the girls they just encountered, decided he wanted to continue the fight. After getting closer, however, he realized it wasn't them, but it was too late. Axton continued what he planned on doing.

Grabbing Charis, he threw her into the wall, embedding his axe into her back. Troy was in shock, unsure of what came over his ally.

Axel felt something. He wasn't quite sure what it was. He wanted to scream, cry, and run away all at the same time. He liked Charis because they were quite similar; they both had a dark sense of humor and a gray cloud that seemed to loom over them. It was almost a competition to see who was more miserable.

Before Axton could get out of the way, Axel rushed him, bringing both of them to the ground. Axton's axe slid to the side, and as he tried to reach for it, Axel grabbed his head and slammed it into the ground repeatedly. Axel was full of rage and threatened Troy, but Troy fled the scene, leaving Axel alone with Charis.

Axel didn't understand what he was feeling. Why did he care so much about this girl?

15th: Troy Westbrook of District Nine.

14th: Lincoln Talher of District One.

13th: Kelvin Rhyolite of District Five.

The alliance was down to Kelvin and Troy. When Lincoln, Priscus, and Luran found them, it was over for Troy within seconds. Lincoln quickly killed Troy, but didn't see that Kelvin broke free from Luran's grasp and was barreling towards him. Kelvin swung his sword, hitting Lincoln here and there, and Luran ran over to help Lincoln. Kelvin ultimately killed Lincoln, and in that moment, Kelvin knew he was dead too. Luran pushed Kelvin's limp body off of his spear and turned to Priscus.

There was nothing either of them could do about Lincoln.

12th: Daelyn Allaire of District Five.

11th: Linley Bonnet of District Ten.

10th: Vaida Kiper of District Three.

It wasn't a fair fight; a two-versus-three never is. It was a mess of a fight, with hands and weapons flying everywhere. It was almost too easy for Aisling to subdue Linley; with a knife in her thigh, she sat there crying out in pain. Daelyn put up a fight and wrestled with Aisling, but Aisling was stronger and smarter. Vaida finished Linley off, and as she backed away from her first victim, Adela acted out in a fit of rage and stabbed Vaida. It was very unlike her.

Adela didn't know who the Games were turning her into. She didn't recognize herself.

9th: Sasha Clarelle of District Two.

Caia noticed the trap before her allies did. Caia stood back, pretending to look for something in her backpack, letting Sasha lead the way. In the matter of seconds, there was a loud explosion and sparks flew. Sasha was thrusted against the wall, screaming out in pain. Bronte rushed over to her and helped her up, and Caia, feigning interest, grabbed Sasha's arms and propped her up against the wall.

Caia was hoping she was dead. Why did Bronte have to help her? Caia sighed.

Sasha was severely injured, and Caia and Bronte discussed her fate. It was an emotional debate. Bronte, realizing that she only had one kill thus far, nodded and complied with Caia's demands. Bronte had something to prove not only to Caia, but to District One. Later that night, Bronte slipped poison into Sasha's water.

Sasha foamed at the mouth, wrapping her hands around her neck. Caia and Bronte stood there, gawking. Caia shrugged and walked away, and hesitantly, Bronte did the same. She did not regret killing her ally, but she was nervous about what would happen next now that it was just her and Caia.

She had every right to be nervous. Caia was only getting started.

8th: Aisling Ibarra of District Seven.

Adela didn't want to hide anymore. She didn't want to be weak anymore. She wanted revenge.

Aisling was surprised by Adela; she didn't think she had it in her to put up a fight. Vaida was a fluke, since she was caught off guard, but Aisling was prepared. Adela had the will and newfound confidence to kill, though. She began to cry as she removed her knife from Aisling's stomach.

Adela worried about what her family and friends thought of her.

7th: Luran Tremain of District Four.

It was only a matter of time before the two Career alliances would find each other again. Luran and Bronte began to swing their weapons at one another, both of them confused why Caia and Priscus were simply standing there. Surprisingly, Bronte gained the upper-hand, using Luran's own spear to distract him and push him off of her. In a split-second, Bronte lunged forward with her knife, right for his throat.

Bronte looked at Caia. Caia looked at Priscus. Priscus rolled his eyes and ran away.

Bronte and Caia were left confused.

6th: Bronte Avellar of District One.

Frankly, Bronte began to annoy Caia. Bronte had that effect on people. She talked a lot. She laughed a lot. Caia lost her patience with Bronte and now that she killed three tributes, Caia saw her as competition.

So, in the middle of her night, she slit her throat. Caia packed up her stuff and left Bronte's lifeless body. In retrospect, Caia regretted killing her, since Bronte was only ever collateral and could have served as a buffer. Someone else could have killed her, saving Caia's life, but Bronte talked too much.

To Caia, Bronte had to die. It was as simple as that.

5th: Caia Verdone of District Four.

Fiora showed her no mercy. She knew what Caia had done in the arena – all the pain and suffering she caused – and felt no remorse killing her.

It wasn't Caia's fault that she died. It was Sasha's. It was Bronte's. It was Fiora's. It was not her fault. Nothing ever was.

4th: Fiora Mavelle of District Nine.

Priscus, realizing that he left his allies to die more than once, felt insecure and pressured. He hasn't killed since the Bloodbath, and began to doubt himself and what he's capable of. So, when he came across Fiora, he needed to kill. Fiora didn't expect to be killed by Priscus.

He made sure to thank her for killing Caia.

3rd: Priscus Ervani of District Two.

Axel heard footsteps and hoped it wasn't Adela. He didn't want it to come down to him and her and was hoping that Priscus would kill her before he had to. When he saw it was Priscus, he was disappointed. The fight was surprisingly quick and seamless. At this point, Axel knew what he was doing, both physically and mentally.

Priscus was mostly mad that someone from District Twelve killed him.

2nd: Adela Lavari of District Twelve.

Victor: Axel Rogue of District Twelve.

After an unexpected turn of events, it was down to the two tributes from District Twelve. District Twelve rarely did this well and Adela and Axel realized that this was a unique situation. That didn't matter, though; they were not allies or friends. Adela realized that Axel had the upper-hand here, and although she gave it her all, Axel came out on top. It was an emotional fight for both of them.

Adela had something to live for. Axel didn't.

She had a life back in District Twelve. Axel had nothing.

But, now, he had this. He won. He was the victor.

He thought things were going to change; for him, for his mother, for his father and brother, wherever they were.

For the first time in his life, he felt hopeful.

Life would be different for Axel.

"May I present to you the victor of the Hundred-and-Tenth Hunger Games – Axel Rogue of District Twelve!"

Author's Note:

I know what you're thinking: Teddy, it's been 5 years since you updated this story. While that is true, I needed to do this out of principle. If (and emphasis on if) I do post another SYOT, I needed to have this one wrapped up. I know I only made it through one chapter, but I didn't want to leave this one hanging. I had everything planned for it, anyway. I didn't want to waste your time and your tribute, so really, I did it for y'all. Take this chapter as MY commentary on the tributes and the 110th Hunger Games. I am aware that there are many unanswered questions, but don't worry about it.

Thank you :)
