I'm back wonderful people.
It had been five weeks since their shotgun wedding. Five weeks of running around, trying to get ready for their newest addition. Five weeks of of growing Abel, learning new things, curiosity peaking. But most importantly, five weeks that Jax had been planning a surprise wedding reception for Tara. He knew how badly she's always wanted a fairy tale wedding, how much she'd talk his ear off when they were younger. He wanted her to have that moment. He had no problem with the courthouse wedding because it gave him what he needed, to have her tied to him in the most intimate way possible; now that it was done, he wanted to have her live out her dream wedding. It had been a little difficult getting everything set up, mostly due to the fact that she was now 34 weeks pregnant, and beyond hormonal. One minute she was happy go lucky and the next she was a crying train wreck. Jax couldn't wait for his son to get here so that his wife could gain back some sanity.
Straddling his bike, Jax thought back to last week.
He had just walked into the house after picking up Abel from his moms house. Tara was in the kitchen and smiled at him, not realizing she didn't have a solid grasp on the water bottle in her hand causing it to fall to the floor. She looked down at the spilt water before running into the bedroom and crying. Sighing, Jax placed Abel in his play pen and cleaned up the water. Making his way to their room he looked in and saw Tara huddled up on the bed, walking over her kneeled down and kissed her forehead. "Babe, it's okay it was just some water," he reassured her and he moved the hair out of her face. He laid down with her and rubbed her back until she fell asleep.
Shaking his head clear, he started up his bike and began the drive back to their house. In a few days, he would be giving his wife her dream wedding. Now, all he had to do was make sure she didn't go into labor early or have a complete break down before then.
The drive home didn't take long, and before he knew it he was pulling into the driveway. Shutting off his bike, he slid off and headed for the front door. The closer he got, the more clearly he could hear his sons giggles. Opening the door he walked in and smiled at the sight in front of him, Abe was rolling around on his blanket while Tara sat cross legged in front of him making faces. "Hey babe," he announced his presence as he walked over to her before bending down for a kiss. "Hey," she said with a bright smile, "How was the fun?" Sitting across from her, he spread his legs and bent down to kiss his son, "It was good, no problems a quick in and out trip." Nodding her head, she moved over by him and laid her head down on his head and she brought her hand on her bump and rubbed. "This baby is going to be the death of me, with how active he is he's going to be a football player!" Laughing, Jax moves one hand over hers and rubbed where his son was while his other hand slipped around her shoulders. They stayed like this for a couples hours while they watched Abel roll around and babble happily to the two of them.
Hearing a knock on the door, Jax got up to check who it was. "Open up slow ass," shaking his head at his best friend's voice he opened the door and smiled as he flipped him the bird before giving Lyla a hug. Lyla walked in and went hugged Tara first, then laid down on her stomach with her hands spread out, fingers wiggling at Abel. Opie walked in and set the car seat down by the couch, with help from her husband Tara stood up to hug Opie. "How's life been with a newborn?" Snorting at her question Opie replied, "Well there's not much sleeping but I wouldn't have it any other way." Smiling Tara picked the precious little baby boy out of his seat and hugged him to her chest. She thought back to the day they got called to the hospital when Lyla went into labor, and they all got the surprise of a lifetime.
She and Jax had just finished feeding Abel and were getting ready to lie him down when Tara's phone went off. Walking over she saw it was Lyla, "Hey what's going on?" "Oooh you motherfucker you are never getting anywhere near me again!" She heard in the background, "Tara it's Opie, you two need to get your asses down here now. Lyla went into labor earlier and she's already 7 centimeters, little Princess is going to be here soon." Hanging up Tara let out an excited squeal as she waddled over to the kitchen, "Babe, we need to drop Abel off to Gemma and head over to the hospital. Lyla went into labor and is getting close to pushing." Gathering everything they needed they quickly dropped off a sleeping Abel to grandma and raced to the hospital. When they arrived, they were taken to the delivery waiting area. Opie had popped in shortly after, walking over her plopped down next to Jax, "Tara she wants you to go in there and talk to her." Getting up, Tara was escorted into the delivery room, where she saw a very sweaty and exhausted looking Lyla bending over the bed and breathing in and out.
Looking up lyla have her a weak smile, "Thank God you're here. Opie was losing his mind with these nurses and I needed a clear headed person for a minute." Laughing, Tara walked over to her and walked her through some more breathing strategies while Lyla replayed the story of how she went into labor. About half an hour later, a nurse came in to check her cervix. "10 centimeters, you're ready to go mama." Smiling, Tara hugged her and went back to the waiting room, "Okay big guy you're up, stay calm for her." Another quick hug and Opie was walking back to the delivery room.
Walking over to his wife he grabbed her hand and kissed it, as she began pushing. By the third push she dropped back down on the bed, "I hate you! I hate you so much and your dick is never coming anywhere near me ever again you son of a bitch!" "Okay Lyla you're doing great, one more big push and she'll be out." With everything in her Lyla pushed hard as a scream erupted from her lips. A moment later a high pitched cry entered the room and Opie looked at his wife with tears in his eyes, "You did it baby." Crying, Lyla grasped Opie's hand tightly while the nurses cleaned up their baby. "7 pounds 5 ounces and 19 inches long, we have a healthy baby boy," her nurse said to her as she placed him on Lyla's chest. "Boy? Are you sure ma'am? We were told we were having a girl," Lyla said as she hugged him close to her. With a slight chuckle the nurse looked between the two parents, "I'm positive, you have a healthy baby boy." Opie couldn't believe it. Bending down he kissed his sons head as a head slid from his eye lid.
Pushing the waiting door open, Opie extended his arms out "It's a boy!" He shouted with a huge smile. "You're shitting me," said Jax with a laugh as the two of them hugged. Tara was next before the three of them walked back to meet the newest member. With a warm smile Tara walked over to Lyla, who was talking to her son. Looking up, she giggled "Well it looks like we'll be needing to do some shopping again, do you want to hold him?" Nodding, Tara stretched out her arms for the little bundle. Walking over to his wife, Opie kissed her forehead before looking up "Welcome Colton Winston to the family." The four of them took turns holding the baby boy for the next few hours before Tara and Jax headed out.
Chuckling at the memory, Tara looked down at Colton who was sleeping peacefully in her arms, she couldn't believe the little guy was already 2 weeks old, and she couldn't believe that any day now she would be meeting her little prince. "You okay babe?" Lifting her head up she saw Jax looking at her, "Yeah, just spaced out for a minute thinking about our baby coming soon." Walking over to her he took Colton and positioned him in his arms, laughing at how heavy of a sleeper the baby was. "Don't worry we still have some time to finish getting everything ready for him, he'll be here before we know it." Nodding with a content sigh, Tara dropped down on the couch, smiling over at a now sleeping Abel in Lyla's arms.
