More things have been added, things taken out, and more about it has been redone. This story will continue on the way I see fit and has already been planned out and it would have been done more sooner if the first redone chapter didn't somehow get deleted. It was finished and still had a good amount of days on it on here so I'm not sure what happened here. So welcome back to my old readers and new! I hope you guys are ready because I have A LOT of catching up to do but that just makes it more fun, am I right?

~Episode 1- The Danger Begins Part 1~

Flashback...

Gooch sat behind the counter next to his fly trap with their headphones on, as he watched his favorite soap opera on his tablet. He occasionally wiped at his eyes and reached over to dab the fly traps eyes as it had even found the part emotional.

( Bell shop door bell )

A little five year old girl with a backpack and rolling a pink suitcase walks inside the store Junk N Stuff. She carefully walks down the steps as she eyes all the cool things in the store with awe.

"Cool." Her hand touches the glowing purple sphere.

Her brown straight hair came past her shoulders and was held back by a red headband. The big blue eyes she had was enough to get anybody's attention as people would often describe her as a pretty doll baby. She wore a simple blue hoodie with a pair of black shorts and black slip ons.

The little girl walks up to the counter but she still couldn't see over, she waved her hand to get Gooch attention. "Excuse me?"

Gooch shakes his head at his tablet. "Poor Ricky won't ever find his love after this."

"Hello?" She waves her hand but saw she wasn't getting anywhere, leaning up on her tippy toes she rings the bell multiple times. "Sir, helloooo!"

Gooch does a double take and quickly takes his headphones off. "Oh I'm sorry, can I help you?"

"Yes, I'm looking for Ray Manchester? Do you know him?" She asks.

Gooch raises a suspicious brow. "Your looking for him?"

"I am." The girl slowly nods. "Is he here? This is where my mommy said I would find him."

"Your mommy?" Gooch was now even more suspicious but now interested. "How would she know where to find him?"

"Mmm-mmm." She hums a shrug, as she didn't even know herself. "She said this is where I would find him and gave me something to give him and then she said goodbye." Gooch saw the sad look in the child's eyes when she said the last part and saw that was tough for even her to say as the memory was still very fresh in her mind. "If he isn't here then I will just-"

"Well I never said he wasn't here." Gooch stops her. "It's just not everyday a little child comes in here looking for Ray. If you don't mind me asking, who is your mother little one?"

"Hannah." The girl answers, Gooch eyes snap open wide eyed as he was now staring at the little girl features more closlely. "Hannah Mitchell." She goes to reach in her bag. "She even have these papers that she wants me to give to-" Gooch sprays her with a mist as she was in mid talking. "g-giv..."

The girl dropped to the floor, Gooch panics as he gets up and quickly goes around to the other side of the room. "Oh no, no, no, no, no." He throws her over his shoulder while picking up her suitcase and runs through the bead curtain to the back.

'Downstairs in the Man Cave'

Ray sat at the computers watching the Swellview news with his feet propped up. They were showing funny videos with cats and cucumbers.

"Ha! He doesn't know what's going on with that thing." Ray shakes his head with a slight laugh.

The sound of the elevator started up, he looks over his shoulder when it dings and saw Gooch. "Hey, did you get the-" Ray saw a panicking Gooch run off the elevator with a little girl over his shoulder. He shot up from the chair in confusion. "What the what Gooch? I asked for the criminal reports from last week, not a kid. You know the rules, no other people in here unless they are family and that never really come to Swellview."

"I know, I know." Gooch puts her down on the spin couch. "But-"

"Who's kid is this?" Ray points at her.

"That is what I am trying to tell you man." Gooch says firmly, Ray draws his head back. "This little girl came in here looking for you."

"Me? What is she some crazy little fan?" Ray asks. "Still even if she was how did someone that looks her age track me here-"

"No, no, no." Gooch shakes his head. "She didn't ask for you by calling you Captain Man, the girl called you Ray Manchester."

Ray double takes and looks back at Gooch crazy. "How the heck she know my name?"

"Hannah told her your name." Gooch says, Ray raises a brow. "Hannah Mitchell."

Ray eyes widen as he snapped his head from the girl and Gooch a couple of times. "Hannah? My Hannah? Why the heck would Hannah drop some kid off here? I haven't seen her in six years." He shakes his head and looks down with a scoff. "The only woman I could probably say could really put up with me."

"And give you a smack in the head." Gooch points.

"And I was still okay." Ray smiled thinking about her. "Still, she chose her side when she wanted to stay a villian in another town and we were both getting tired of fighting the other. I just don't get why she would send some random child here."

"Not some random child. This is her own child." Gooch points.

"H-Her own what-" Ray chokes on his words. "When did she have a kid?!" He throws his hands up. "And how dare I not get invited to the baby shower." Gooch gives him a crazy look, Ray sees this and shrugs. "...They have good games." Gooch shakes his head. "I also want to see the dude who knocked her up because I know he is not better looking then me. Also that doesn't explain all of this, why did you bring her down here?"

"I didn't know what else to do with her!" Gooch stresses. "Also I think-"

The little girl stirred on the couch to catch both of their attention. Gooch and Ray step back and watch her slowly lift up with a groan.

"Ouch." She rubs her head. "What the-what happened?"

Ray was going to speak but had to stop for a second from her features, the little girl was a splitting image of Hannah herself. The eye color was off but the hair color and overall facial wise was Hannah hands down.

"It's like looking at a little her..." Ray mumbles with a little disbelief scoff.

"I told you." Gooch says lowly.

The girl looks around at the Man Cave confused but was still in awe at all the computers and gadgets that she saw around the place. It looked like stepping into the future but it had a nice feel to it for some reason and strangely it looked good for it's taste.

"Um, is anybody gonna start explaining something?" She asks looking back at the two guys. "How did I get down here, and where the heck am I?"

"Nah-uh." Ray stops Gooch from answering. "Better question is, who are you? How did you find me? And what do you want?"

Her head tilts. "Are you Ray?"

"I-I'm not telling you my name until you tell me yours." Ray points.

"Well I'm not telling you mine until you tell me yours." She retorts.

Ray sputters. "W-We-Well I guess we will be just sitting here then missy." She crossed her arms over her chest with a firm pout, he points at her wide eyed. "Classic Hannah move! Your mother used to do that, I hate that. I hate that so much. I bet she told you to do it, better yet I know she did."

She smirks. "She did."

"Ah-ha!" Ray points.

Gooch nods. "Kid has been taught well."

"Don't agree with this!" Ray scolds, he points back at the child across from him. "Look kid. I want to know where your mom is? Why did Hannah drop you off here?" The little girl just calmly blinks as she said nothing and kept her arms folded. Ray groans dragging a hand over his face. "Alright fine. My name is Ray Manchester, are you happy?"

She smiles. "Very."

"Aww that's good." Ray fake smiles. "Now who the heck are you?!" The little girl draws back with wide eyes from his yelling. "No better question is, where is Hannah? If this is some trick of hers at payback then she is so gonna get it." He pulled out his gumball pack. "I will track that woman down."

The smile quickly erased from the child's face as her eyes saden again.

"Good luck with doing that." Her voice came out low.

Ray caught this and lowered his pack confused. "What do you mean? Don't you know where she went?"

"No." She shakes her head and pulls her bookbag off her shoulders. Ray and Gooch were still confused as they watched her dig inside her bag. "My mommy said she is running away from some bad people but that she couldn't bring me along anymore. So she told me she was dropping me off at my dads and to find the guy name Ray and give him these so he can take it over from there." Finding the papers in her book bag, she handed them over to him. "Here you go."

Ray brows knotted together. "If she is supposed to be dropping you off at your dads, why did she bring you here?" The girl raised a brow along with Gooch, Ray looks at both of them. "What?"

"I think she is trying to say your the dad Ray." Gooch explains.

Ray took in his friends words. "What? M-Me? No way, no. No, no, no. I am way too young to be anyone's dad okay." He opens the letter addressed to him with disbelief laughter and starts reading. "I'm sure she just means that she want me to drop this kid off to her real dad safely because he lives in Swellview somewhere. Okay?" Gooch and the girl look at each other before crazily back at Ray who still wasn't catching on. "I'm sure this is a favor she needs from me. See, because there is no way that I have a..." He screams and throws the letter away from him.

"What? What? What did it say?" Gooch asks, he goes over and picks it up.

"No, no, no! Don't pick it up!" Ray shakes his head.

Gooch ignores Ray and he reads it out loud.

Dear Ray,

You were right when you said that eventually staying on the bad side of things would catch up to me. I never wanted to admit you being right to your face and at least I still don't have to. I know it may be hard to take in at first and I can't explain why I never just told you about her to give you a heads up warning or so that you were aware she existed. I'm very sorry and I know raising a child is a hard thing for you too but I didn't know who else to leave or trust her with. She is always asking about her father and truth was I was getting tired of keeping her from you. I have to go away for a while and I need you to look after her Ray, and promise me you'll keep her safe. One day I will be back to explain but for now just trust me. Tell her I love her and that none of this is her fault.

-Hannah

Ray was still in shock as he slowly paced. "No, no, no. Hannah is great at being a trickster."

"I don't think this is a trick." Gooch reads over the letter again. "She put everything in here with her. Medical records, ID, a lot of stuff."

"I'm not buying it." Ray points at the little girl. "What's your name?"

"Riley." She swings her legs.

Ray drew back wide eyed. "She even gave her a name similar to mine. Oh she's goood." He shakes his head. Gooch rolls his eyes and goes off to fetch a device that would help. "I mean this is not possible. This can not be possible. You are so little and Hannah left six years ago."

Gooch comes back over. "How old are you little one?"

"Five." Riley happily smiles.

Gooch looks to his left at a wide eyed Ray who was biting his nails. "Time frame sound about right." He hooks something on Ray.

"Not to me it doesn't!" Ray retorts back. "I'm telling you this could be a big trick."

"Uh-huh, open for me." Gooch orders, Ray opens his mouth allowing Gooch to swab his mouth. "Thank you." He walks over to Riley who looks up at him. "The kid has your eyes." Gooch puts something around her arm. "Don't worry. This won't hurt you." He takes out another swab. "Open. Like this, ah!"

"Ah!" Riley holds her mouth open.

Gooch uses the swab and takes it out. "Good, you can close now." She giggles and does as she was told.

"What is this Gooch?" Ray looks at the wires that he hooked up to him. "I'm going through a crisis of my ex girlfriend trying to possibly kill me. Any minute Riley there is gonna go up in a puff of smoke, and boom, there will be Hannah ready to strike."

"I don't think so." Riley shakes her head.

"Hush." Ray points, Riley hands went up in defense.

Gooch goes over to the computers and puts the swabs in two seperate tubes that were connected to the computer. "What I'm doing is running some test. This should be able to tell me all of Riley's DNA and if anything is connected to you."

Ray scoffs and laughs. "I'm telling you that-"

The computer starts to go off making them look back. Gooch reads it over and was only a little shocked since he already believed it.

"Riley Manchester. Born April 12, birth mother is Hannah Mitchell and birth father by DNA is Ray Manchester." Gooch nods. "Sorry to break you out your denial, but this isn't a joke."

Ray snatches it off his arm. "It has to be! I mean after all these years. You're telling me that she hid my own daughter for me. For what reasons could possibly be worth that? That's five years of a kids life I missed and all because her mom wanted to be secret Susie."

"Her name is Hannah." Riley corects.

"See that's the type of Hannah sas I'm not ready for." Ray points at her, he looks at Riley and throws up his hands. "Why didn't-I'm just confused. I am not ready for any of this or don't even know where to begin with this-with you."

"That is pretty obvious." Riley looks down. "I want to go back to my mommy. It's clear you don't want me around you anyway." Ray eyes softened when she said this. "It wasn't the way I wanted to know who you are but at least I can attach a name with a face now." She starts to carefully get off the couch and grabs her things. "Can one of you take me to the police station please. That's where she always taught me to go if I needed help."

"I-" Ray was conflicted but found himself stopping her. "H-Hold on, wait a second kid."

Gooch takes Riley's papers. "I'm gonna go do some more test in the back." He excused himself behind the secret wall.

Ray sits down on the couch and motions her to come have a seat back next to him. Riley hesitantly got back on the couch but still had the look of hurt written all over her face. "Listen...Riley." She lazily looks at him. "It isn't that I don't want you around me, especially if you are my kid but being told your a dad is not news you just get after the child is already five years old. I should have been known about you before you were born but I didn't. This is a lot to take in because now I have to adjust, I have to put things together in my mind and figure it out so it can make sense to me."

"This is gonna be a while." Riley nods.

"Watch it." Ray points a finger at her, Riley looks off. "Look, being a dad is a big thing. Do you know what I do?" Riley slowly nods. "That's a huge secret, then you being my kid is another big secret that has to be kept. I would have to make sure you go to school, teach you the things you and can't do with me as your dad, help you with homework, show you how to do things, feed you? Do kids like tacos?"

"Uhh..." Riley raises her brow.

"Right, right, not important." Ray waves it off. "My point I'm trying to make is that this is gonna be hard for me and for you. It's certain secrets that have to be kept around here." Riley slowly nods her head. "Your mom said in that letter that some bad guys are chasing her?"

"Yeah." Riley eyes watered. "Their not so much as bad guys considering their cops but she didn't want to drag me along. Still though...is she ever coming back to see me?"

Ray wanted to give her a straight answer but didn't have one, he gave a small smile. "For you? Yeah." Riley wipes at her eyes. "Hey." He nudges her, Riley looks up. "I'm not much considering I just found out but you still got me and your a smart little kid. So maybe you can help me with being a Captain Dad, what do you think?" Riley giggles at the nickname and nods. "It is gonna be a long road but I'll look after you the best I can Riles."

"Riles?" Riley tilts her head.

"Yeah, look I even got a little nickname for you." Ray throws a hand up. "My little Riley Riles. You like it?"

"Uh-huh." Riley hugs him which caught him off guard. "...It's nice to finally meet you Ra-dad."

Ray slowly hugs her back and couldn't help the warm feeling that came to his heart. To watch her almost cry in front of him almost brought a pain to his chest and he didn't even really know her but all he wanted was to see her happy and not sad. When Hannah did come back she would never hear the end of this but for now his attention was gonna be on Riley and trying to juggle his own job but he would find a way to do so.

She was his daughter, he missed years of her life already and didn't plan on missing anymore. There wasn't gonna be a soul out there to ever hurt her and he was gonna see to that like Hannah wanted and what he was starting to want himself. As there was now another big secret that he had to keep close but hers was more important than his could ever be.

Riley shedded a couple of tears when thinking about her mother. "I'm gonna miss her..."

"I know." Ray rubs her back. "I'm not your mom kiddo but I promise to protect you like she did, I'm not ever going anywhere on you."

"...You promise?" Riley pulls back.

"Man swear it." Ray holds up his pinky, Riley tears slips out as she forces a small smile and hooks her pinky with his. "You got my word. Okay?" Riley nodded and lets him pull her in a hug. "Your gonna be okay...and it's nice to finally meet you to Riley Manchester"

Gooch comes back out crying and joins the hug as he was listening from the wall. "This is better then TV."

Riley laughs at him as Ray looks to the sky annoyed.

"Gooch." Ray groans. "Hug is over. Let go!"

End flashback

{ Years later, at Swellview Middle/High }

Henry Hart leaned against his open locker looking across the halls.

Charlotte walks up to her friend with a smile. "Hey, Henry!" Henry kept quiet as his full attention was still focused ahead. This made her raise a brow and slowly wave her hand in his face. "Henry? Hellooo, you in there?" She stops when she wasn't getting an answer and gets closer to follow his gaze and see who he was staring at. "Of-course." Charlotte rolls her eyes with a head shake when she saw who had his attention.

Her name, was Riley Manchester. She was leaned against her locker reading over some notes for class with her glasses on. All of her long pretty dark brown hair hung to the center of her back and over he shoulders like a curtain. Riley wore, skinny black jeans, a t-shirt that said Bonjour Tokyo and pair of tennis along with a couple of wrist bands.

Charlotte had only spoke to her a couple of times but from their conversations she seemed like a really cool girl. A lot of people in school thought she was and even though she was very friendly and sweet to everyone, you never really seen her hanging out with anybody outside of school.

Riley had seemed to stay to herself a lot when it came to outside of school which was weird considering Swellview wasn't that big but nobody can recall really hanging out and going over her house with her. She was just one of those girls who was a mystery but that only drew people to her more. Not only that but Riley was very good at volleyball and one of the top straight A students in the school so that got her noticed a lot more.

It was weird considering when you looked at her you would think she is just some pretty nerdy girl who stayed quiet and was shy but she was the opposite. Henry had a crush on Riley since elementary school but had never said anything as every time he attempted to he would fail or when he did he would embarass himself. Henry was never really shy when it came to talking to girls but for some reason Riley got to him more then others and he just wanted to know more about her.

Charlotte pitfully shakes her head at him. "I really don't get why you don't just go over there and talk to her." She says to a dazed Henry. "I talked to Riley plenty of times and she's really nice you know." Charlotte crosses her arms over her chest giving her best friend a look. "Admiring her from across the lockers is not working and is very stalkerish. I'm just saying." He continue to watch Riley. "Would you mind saying something? I feel like I'm talking to myself over here."

Henry watches a couple people walk up to Riley to bring her attention out of her book, she greets them with a smile and starts talking to them.

"What am I even gonna say to her Charlotte? 'Oh hey Riley, how's the weather?' Oh my God it sounds more stupid when I say it out loud." Henry throws his hands up, he shoves his head in his locker in defeat. "I give up."

Charlotte rolls her eyes. "How can you give up when you haven't even tried?" She pulls his head out the locker with a slight struggle. "Ugh, n-no one is saying to ask her out." She finally got him out, Charlotte huffs out in relief. "Just make conversation with her like you been wanting to for the past, I don't know, years. Talk about the sun, moon, solar systems, food, pick one!"

"Solar systems?" Henry questions in a really tone.

Charlotte stares at him. "A topic is a topic. You're not on a talk show here."

Henry rolls his eyes and looks back over at Riley when he heard her laughing. He did have a big crush on her but even if she didn't like him that way then he still wanted her around as a friend, that's how much he just wanted to be around her. He saw her with some people in school from time to time but he never saw her outside of school with anybody and that made him wonder about her. All he wanted was to get through one conversation without him clamming up or chickening out but he never had a real reason to just talk or walk up to her. The last thing he wanted to do was embarrass himself in front of her, something he came close to doing on a number of occasions.

Charlotte noticed Henry slowly starting to space out on her again. "Aaaand, I lost him again." She nods her head.

"Hey, guys!" Their best friend Jasper calls out coming over to them.

"Hey, Jasper." Charlotte continues looking at Henry and slowly shakes her head. "Boy got it bad."

Jasper raised a brow when Henry said nothing. "What's Henry staring at?" He got close to Henry's face so he could see what he was looking at.

Henry's head slowly turned when he felt Jaspers face near his and drew back to look at him weird. "What-are-you-doing?" Henry questions confused and creeped out.

"Trying to see what your looking at." Jasper shrugs, he saw Riley when the people she was talking to started to walk off and started to somewhat catch on. "Oh hey, it's Riley." He smiled leaning up and backs away from his face. "I wonder does she have an extra history book I can borrow. I lost mine the other night."

Charlotte shrugs with a smile. "Why don't you call her over here and ask Jasper?"

Henry eyes widen and starts shaking his head. "No, no, Jasper I don't think she has one. I have o-" Charlotte put a hand over his mouth so he couldn't say anything.

"Go on and ask." Charlotte ignores Henry protesting.

Jasper ignores him as well as he called out to her. "Hey Riley!" This made her turn around from putting her books away in her locker, Riley happily waves at Jasper. "Can you come over here for a sec?" He called out.

Riley simply nods and finishes up, she closes her locker and swings her backpack over her shoulder as she starts making her way over to them.

Henry finally got Charlotte's hand off of his mouth and went wide eyed when he saw Riley walking over.

"Jasper why'd you have to-" Henry stops his hushed whisper when he saw her getting close. "No, no, no. Ah geez-I gotta go!" He went to quickly escape.

"Oh no you don't." Charlotte yanks Henry back and shakes him. "That bell doesn't ring for another couple of minutes. Now this is your chance to say something and not embarrass yourself. Stop freaking out right now and act cool!"

"But the-ah I can't do this!" Henry shoves his head in his locker, Charlotte gives him a look in retaliation and palms her forehead.

Riley smiles as she approaches them. "Hey Jasper, hey Charlotte, and um..." She trails off in amusement with a head tilt at Henry with his head in his locker. "Hello there Henry."

Henry takes his head out the locker. "Oh hey, Riley." He awkwardly cough and tries to play it off. "What goes on?"

"Not much." Riley giggles. "Where you trying to hide from me in there or something?" She points to the locker in fake wonder as she already could tell he was and was just teasing him for her amusement.

"Oh you mean with the-oh no, of course not." Henry quickly shakes his head, Riley slowly nods with her own smirk. "No, I was just checking my locker for um, locker dust."

"Locker dust?" Charlotte questions.

"It's a thing now." Henry snaps making Charlotte hands go up in defense.

Riley nods still amused. "Uh-huh." She turns her attention back to the person that called her. "But what's up Jasper?"

"Hey, do you have an extra history book I can hold for class?" He asks.

"Yeah, sure thing." Riley reaches in her bag. "What happened to yours? If you don't mind me asking."

"My uncle took mine for his book collection." Jasper nods.

"Oh, he collects history books?" Charlotte asks.

"Nope just books the cover blue." Jasper nods. Henry and Charlotte raise brows as Riley had even stopped looking through her bag to look at him crazy. "What?"

"Well alright then." Riley chuckles it off and hands it over to him. "Here you go Jasper, you can keep it if you want. I don't really need it anymore and got a back up at home if I do."

"Nice." Jasper happily takes it. "Thanks."

"No problem." Riley waves it off and starts zipping up her bag.

"Hey speaking of test, did you study already for the test coming up?" Charlotte asks her.

Riley just shook her head. "No not yet, I should get a move on though. I think it's gonna be a little harder then most so I'm gonna probably have to find somebody to study with." She shrugs it off.

Charlotte nudged Henry and hints her head to Riley. Her eyes darted back and forth between the two of them giving him a hint.

"Um, uh Riley?" Henry gets her attention, Riley looks over at him. "I'm actually looking for a study partner myself."

"Really?" Riley asks.

Henry nods. "Yeah, Jasper was gonna study with Charlotte. So if y-you wanna study with me then we could make date for it, to study, for the test."

"Right, right." Riley chuckles. "I think that actually could be fun."

"It's okay, I under-wait did you say yeah?" Henry double takes.

Riley giggles. "Yes." She pulls out a piece of paper and writes her number down on it. "I'll give you my number. You text me and let me know where you want to meet up and start. That sound cool?"

Henry had to be nudged out of his shock by Charlotte. "Oh, y-yeah. That's great." He takes the paper when she hands it over to him. "I'll text you after school."

"Good." Riley sends him a smile, she looks back to Charlotte and Jasper. "Well I got practice to get to. Nice talking to you guys, and I'll talk to you later Henry." She waves walking off.

"See ya." Jasper waves.

"Bye Riley." Charlotte calls out.

Henry waves and looks back down at the numbers on the paper. "I got digits."

Charlotte smiles. "See? What did I tell you?"

"You told right." Henry fives her as the two of them laughed. "I mean it isn't like a date."

"No but you will be able to get to talk to her and get over being nervous around her." Charlotte mentions. "Also study dates can lead to future real dates."

Henry scoffs. "Shoosh yeah, they can."

Charlotte playfully rolls her eyes "So, are you gonna go look for a job later?"

"Yeah, hey you mind coming over and helping me look one up?" Henry asked.

Charlotte nodded. "Yeah sure, sounds like fun." She said sarcastically. "But yeah, I'll help."

"Yeah, and I can show you guys the pictures of my new buckets." Jasper said happily.

Charlotte and Henry looked at him slowly as they shook their heads no.

( Bell Rings )

"Welp, we better get to class." Henry closes his locker. "I have a job to find and a study day to prepare for."

"How do you prepare for a study day?" Charlotte questions.

"I don't know." Henry shrugs it off.

Charlotte playfully rolls her eyes with a shake of her head.

All three of them head off down the hall to class.

'Later, at Junk N Stuff'

Riley walks in the store.

"Hey, Gooch!" She waves at the man behind the desk.

"Riley!" Gooch smiles happily at her. "How was school? Learn anything?"

"Yeah, right." Riley scoffs a chuckle, she points to the back. "He here?"

"Should be." Gooch nods.

Riley went back through the bead curtain that led to the small storage room, were a elevator was waiting. She hit the button and got inside when the doors opened for her, Riley took a deep breath before hitting the button to go down.

( Elevator dings )

All of her screaming stopped when the elevator hit the bottom.

Riley crawls out and up to her feet, she fixes her hair and picks her bag up with a heavy sigh.

"I don't care how old I get. I'm never getting used to that." Riley shakes her head. "Dad! I'm home!" She throws her bag on the couch.

Ray walks out from behind the computer wall with some papers. "Thought I heard you. Hey Riles, how was scholio?" He asks.

Riley went to answer but does a double take. "Scholio dad, really?"

"I thought that's what you kids call it now a days." Ray said.

"No one calls it that." Riley shakes her head. "Just you."

"Really?" Ray asks as he thought about it. "Oh well, I don't mind being a trend at my young age."

Riley snorts. "Young dude?"

"Watch it." Ray points.

Riley chuckles as she shook her head at her dad who acted more like a child sometimes then her dad. He may have been her father but Ray Manchester wasn't just an ordinary guy, he was the local superhero known as Captain Man, who protected all of Swellview. It was hard for him being a dad and superhero but since Riley showed up years ago, he had managed to do both and it worked for them.

At times, Riley felt like they both took turns playing the adult but she loved the bond and relationship that she had with her dad. Every day was something different with him and it was never a dull moment with a dad like Ray around. She did miss her mother since she left but Ray filled a lot of the missing void and always kept his promise to protect his daughter no matter what.

Riley loved that her dad was a superhero but with him being that, she could never really have a normal life or friends for that matter. Since she came to stay with Ray she had to keep who he was a secret and herself, and not just because of villains but because Ray didn't want anyone using her to just meet him. Riley kept to herself for that reason as she could never get close to people, they could never come over, and she could never really let them in her life like they would with her and to her that wasn't fair.

It did suck that she never had anyone to talk to about her dad or her life period but she learned to live with it. The reason she loved school so much was because she could interact with people and have some kind of fun with kids her age before going back home to be alone.

Ray hated that sometimes it had to be like that for her but the main thing he didn't want was Riley to get targeted everyday by villians or for someone to hurt her by pretending to like her for him. He had one rule in his life and that was for no one to ever hurt his daughter and he stuck to that.

Riley turns around from the computers. "Hey dad, I got a quick question."

"I will have a quick answer." Ray sat on the couch, he looks back. "What's up kiddo?"

"I was wondering if I could go study with a friend this Friday?" Riley asks. "That cool with you?"

Ray shrugs. "Sure it's cool with me." He puts his headphones on. "As long as it's not a sweaty teenage boy."

Riley brow raises amused. "Dad, you think all boys are sweaty." She gets up out of the chair.

Ray points at her. "Very true, but remember Riley, I was one of them. So I know more then you."

"No arguments there." Riley hands go up in defense. "But can I go?" She walks over getting on her knees and hugs Ray from the side. "Please, please, please, pleeease. I'll love you more then I do now."

"Well when you put it like that." Ray shrugs, Riley giggles looking up as he smiled down at her. "Yeah, why not. Your free to go Friday but I want you back in this cave at decent central time, not pacific."

"Yes, sir." Riley playfully rolls her eyes, she lets go and gets up. "I'm going to the back to get started on some homework. Call me when dinners ready?"

"You got it," Ray gave the thumbs up as he scrolls through his music.

Riley heads up the steps and behind the sprockett door.

'Later, that day'

Riley was in her room watching TV with a bored expression, she had already finished her homework for the night. Since it was nothing else to really do, she just decided to catch up on 'Celebrities, Underwater'.

"Poor Justin Timberlake." Riley sighs and gives a pitiful headshake.

A lot of commotion came from outside in the man cave. Riley brows furrowed when she heard it as she thought she was going crazy, she ignores it with a head shake and looks back at the TV. The noise came again which made her pause the show again and sit up a little.

This time the commotion was louder and sounded like more then one person but it wasn't Gooch.

"What's going on out there?" She mumbles.

Riley tossed the remote back and jumps up, she slides on her pink slippers and makes her way out her room and down the hall. She comes from the hall that led past the tubes and went wide eyed from who she saw her dad talking to in the Man Cave.

Riley slowly walks down the steps in shock. "H-Henry?"

Ray and Henry both stop talking to turn around.

Henry eyes widened as his jaw completely dropped to the ground. "Riley? W-What are you doing here?" He was beyond confused as to why Riley was in Captain Man's, Man Cave.

"I live here." Riley says, she points. "W-What are you doing here?"

Ray smiles and points to his daughter. "You know Riley, Henry? Riley you know Henry?" Both of them slowly nod as they were still staring at each other in shock. Ray folds his arms in amused shock at how things were working out. "Huh, small world." His eyes widen quickly when he realized something, he drops his arms. "Whoa, wait a second. Henry, how do you know my daughter?" Ray looked at Henry.

"D-Da-Dughter?!" Henry repeats in utter shock as his face told it all. "She's your-your his daughter?" He points to Ray and looks back at her.

Riley gives a shy smile but slowly nods her head. "Yeah, I am." She walks over to stand next to Ray who liked he was still waiting for answers. "Henry goes to my school and was the person I asked to study with."

Ray nods and crosses his arm over his chest. "So, you're dating my new sidekick?"

Riley eyes widened. "What? Your new what?"

Henry protested with a wave of his arms. "No, no, no, no!" Ray raises a brow at him. "We just go to school together, I swear."

"Yeah, that's it." Riley agrees. "I mean we barley really talked until today. Back to the matter at hand, your new what?"

"Exactly." Henry nods. "And I just got offered the job to be his sidekick."

Ray nods. "Sure did."

"You have got to be joking." Riley scoffs. "This is crazy."

"Your telling me." Henry says as the two of them had mutual shocked feelings on the matter.

Video from the shop popped on the computer screen to get all of their attention. It showed, Charlotte, and Jasper, upstairs at Junk N Stuff, looking around. The three of them walked over to get a better look at what was going on.

"Wow, look at this stuff." Jasper said in awe.

"Jasper please don't embarrass me." Charlotte begs him.

Jasper calls over to Gooch. "Excuse me, sir?"

"He's gonna do it." Charlotte throws her hand up.

"Yes?" Gooch replies.

"How much for this?" Jasper touches the barrel of swords..

"Each sword is $100 dollars." Gooch tells him.

"No, no, how much for the bucket? Jasper asks happily.

"The bucket?" Gooch replies in a really tone.

"That's not a bucket.." Charlotte points out. "That's a barrel."

"It's close enough to a bucket-" Jasper looked over at Gooch who was still giving him a really look. "I collect buckets."

"Don't say it," Charlotte warned pointing a finger at him.

"I'm a bucketeer." Jasper said proudly.

"Ugh." Charlotte face palms.

Gooch raises a brow at Jasper weirdness.

Ray nods at the screen with a smile. "Well, they seem like nice kids."

"Yeah, their names are Jasper and Charlotte." Henry crosses his arms. "I've known them ever since I was-"

"Get rid of them." Ray cuts him off.

"I'll get rid of them." Henry walks off to the elevator and gets inside to go upstairs.

"Wow, what a bucket." Jasper started rubbing it.

"Ah, Jasper." Riley chuckles at him.

"Ha! The kid sure loves that bucket." Ray said grabbing some popcorn as he had a seat. "A pretty weird kid. Got a bucket problem though."

Riley nodded. "Yea he doe-"

"So, you know Henry huh? " Ray cuts her off.

Riley shrugs. "Well yeah. I told you we go to school together."

"And that's all?" Ray brow raised.

"Yeah, he's just a friend dad." Riley leans back against the couch. "So please do me a favor and not go overboard." She said sitting down.

Ray got up. "Hey, I have never went overboard before."

She's crossed her arms giving him a really look and gently taps her foot. "You zapped a boy for giving me a soda dad."

"It could have been poison!" Ray defends.

"He was ten dude!" Riley retorts.

"To be honest those are the ones you have to watch out for." Ray nods, Riley rolls her eyes at her dad with a groan. "I'm not gonna do anything weird so relax. Henry is just gonna be my sidekick, that's it. Before I give the real okay though, do you think he will be a good fit around here?"

Riley thinks about it and smiles. "...Yeah, I got a feeling that somehow he's gonna finally shake this place up and you need a change. So he's got my okay."

"The my decision is complete." Ray shrugs.

"Cool." Riley leans up. "I need to go process this and to avoid anymore awkwardness." She walks off to the steps. "I'm going back in my room and leave you two to it."

"In my defense Riles!" Ray calls out, Riley turns around from the steps with a raised brow. "It could have really been poison in that soda can."

"Good grief man." Riley rolls her eyes and went in the back. "I hope Henry is ready to deal with you!"
