A/N: My original plan when I started this years ago was to end the story with Planet Vegeta blowing up. However, I find that too depressing and a story we all know too well. I have a story I wrote a few years back that's complete called Bring Me Home. That would be a great completion to Bardock's and Gine's story if you'd like to check that out :)

Please enjoy. I have loved this story for a very long time, and felt the need to complete it after remembering why I loved it in the first place. Bardock and Gine, the OGs, they will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart - as will the reviewers who followed me for awhile waiting for this to come to an end.

"Bardock!" Gine waved her hand frantically and jumped up and down like a cheerleader upon seeing her former boss stomping towards the direction of the butcher shop with his crew. "Ohhhh Baaaaaardock!"

The face of the Saiyan warrior quickly turned sour when he heard her voice screeching at him like a banshee. The monkey woman continued to jump up and down despite the dirty look, excited that he had returned from another mission without missing any limbs.

The crew had frozen at the same time, looking at Gine. Then Bardock. Gine again. Bardock again. Fasha punched his shoulder hard and talked in a low voice, noticing that the other Saiyans were eyeing the interaction between them suspiciously. "As much as I love you not being as much as hard ass like you use to be, you can't let this keep happening! You're our leader, dammit! How do you think that makes us look?"

Tora nodded his head in agreement. "Hate to say it, but she's right. You need to control your mate."

Bardock released a groan before giving himself a face palm. Somehow, despite everything they've been through, she continued to find ways to remain a pain in his ass. "Relax. I'll handle her."

Gine watched as Bardock stalked towards her, looking like a he was going in for the kill. It didn't stop her from cheering for his arrival. She continued to shout his name and wave her hands in the air like she didn't care. "Bardock! I've been waiting for-"

The alpha male's lethal gazed caused her to stop talking and start being backed up into the butcher shop. She continued to walk backwards as he moved forward, his taste for revenge and maybe some blood causing her to swallow hard. She bumped into a table, but wouldn't take her eyes off of him. They were now approaching the storage room. He had her backed up against the wall before slamming the door with his boot.

Gine smiled nervously, beads of sweatdrop on her forehead as she waited to hear his wrath.

"Damn you," he muttered as he lowered his lips to the top of her head. "You gotta stop doing that shit."

Gine wrapped her arms around his torso and nuzzled her nose into the his chest plate. She did her best to ignore the scent of death on it. "Is it so bad that I'm happy to see you!?"

"Every damn time, though?"

"Every time," Gine was now looking up at him as he looked down at her. Getting up on her tip toes, she cupped his face with both hands and kissed him gently. Once. Twice. A third time. "You can't keep up this tough guy act forever, ya know. I know the real you."

Bardock smirked. He wished he could tell her how much he was dying for this closeness. He rubbed her soft cheek with his rough thumb. "It's not an act, pain in my ass. I wouldn't be coming home if I weren't the asshole you fell in love with."

Gine rolled her eyes, but she couldn't hide her smile. She moved her hands to her growing stomach as they looked down at the small bump. "Can you believe how big our baby has gotten since the last time you were here?" She was thankful that Saiyan armor was expandable or she wouldn't have anything to wear.

The soon to be father was silent for a moment as he observed his mate's belly. He took a deep breath, and Gine could have sworn it sounded like a sigh of...fear? Worry?

"There's definitely something brewing in there. For once, you don't look like a twig."

When she attempted to punch his shoulder, he grabbed her small fist and swung her around so he was holding her from behind. She laughed as he kissed the back of her neck. They both hadn't realized how much they missed each other's touch. The two continued having their moment until the door suddenly swung open.

Tora and Fasha were standing there, biting their lips as if fighting to say what was really on their mind. The tough female cleared her throat and looked at the reddening face of her crew's leader.

"Are we getting fed or what?"

Letting go of Gine quickly, Bardock crossed his arms over his chest and raised his voice higher than it had been that entire time together. "You heard her, woman! Do your damn job!" He smacked her on her bottom for good measure before walking quickly away, avoiding all eye contact with his partners. Fasha shook her head before following him. The two were sitting at one of the shop's tables, with Fasha whispering something in Bardock's ear and Bardock throwing a chair at her.

Tora chuckled and placed a hand around Gine's shoulder as she slowly stepped out of the storage room. "You ever wonder how you got so lucky?"

Gine sighed and leaned her head against the tall Saiyan's neck. Bardock and Fasha were now having a full on brawl in the dining area. "All the time."

Raditz.

That was the name of a certified would-be badass.

Bardock was nervous there for a moment, seeing the baby Saiyan with long hair. He thought Gine had just given birth to a girl. How awful would that be - to have two of them walking around, telling him what to do, ruining his reputation?

The doctor had told him the baby's power level. It was fairly descent - nothing a little training and hunting wouldn't rise up. He was just thankful that Gine and Raditz were breathing after all that infirmary drama.

"We'll actually be able to take him home sooner than most," Gine leaned back into Bardock's body. He instinctively wrapped his arms around her shrunken waist. "I-I know he'll be sent on missions before we know it. But I can't help but wonder... What do you think he'll be like?"

Bardock rested his chin on top of Gine's head as he looked at his first born son sleeping soundly in the incubator. "If he's anything like you? A pain in the ass."

"And if he's anything like you," Bardock was expecting a sassy remark but instead was pleasantly surprised when she nuzzled in closer. "Strong."

The new parents were silent as they hung onto each other. The infirmary was deserted this time of night, save the doctors and nurses who wouldn't tell a soul the tough Bardock was currently looking like a shell of his former self. Vegeta had a baby recently as well, but he was already back with the king. Would Raditz and him go on missions together? Be brothers like him and Tora, or enemies? Who would be stronger? Would his son kick the prince's ass? Vice versa?

Gine looked at her mate's expression in the window and gave a tired smile. He was probably thinking about Raditz beating up the prince. "Bardock."

"Yeah?"

A not so distant memory crossed her mind. She closed her eyes briefly to embrace it. It was the night on Planet Statreon that he opened up to her for the first time. "You should take him hunting when it's time. Find a way... Like you and your dad did when you were little."

Bardock chuckled. That sounded like a hell of an idea. "Damn. Now I really hope he isn't like you."

Gine pounted as tilted her head back to look up at him. "Why!?"

"Imagine how embarrassing it would be to see the son of Bardock riding on a deer he was suppose to kill."

"You're always going to be a jerk, you know that!"

Bardock squeezed her tightly. "And you'll always be a pain in my ass."

Five years later...

A deer tilted its head at what it thought was the sound of the bush leaves rustling. It froze and waited for a moment, wondering if it needed to run. When it felt safe, the deer lowered its head back down to the grass to eat.

"Okay, son. You know what to do."

"Right, Father!"

The deer should've trusted its first instinct. A young boy with long hair came charging out of the bush with a war hoot, wearing wolf skin over his Saiyan armor. He managed to capture and kill his dinner for the night within seconds. He threw the large body over his tiny shoulders and marched towards his dad, who had started a fire using logs and his ki.

The two ate their fresh dinner after it had cooked to the amount they both liked. The son bit down hard and swallowed a large bite before looking over at his dad.

"Father, do you think we're going to get in trouble for coming to Satreon?"

Bardock shrugged. He mimicked his son's bite. "Nah. We'll be back in the morning," Bardock was about to take another bite but smirked when he saw the look on his son's face. He ruffled his hair with his free hand. "Relax, kid. Let me enjoy my time with my son before I leave to Planet Kanassa."

Raditz, looking more like his mother than ever, frowned while looking at the fire. He flicked a rock towards it with his free hand. "I don't like the prince. I don't want to go on a mission with him and his guard. They're jerks."

"I'm a jerk and you like me, don't you?" Bardock chuckled again when his son nodded. "Look at me, Raditz."

Raditz did what he was told, but that didn't stop him from rolling his eyes. "I'm listening."

"I know your mom thinks differently, but you need to be tough no matter what in a world like ours. Don't take shit from anybody. When shit hits the fan, remember who the hell you are and fight like it's your last day breathing," Bardock searched his son's eyes, feeling the intensity. "And don't let some twiggy woman with big eyes tell you that you're wrong."

Raditz blinked, not sure what the last part had to do with anything. "O-okay, Father. I still don't like Vegeta, though."

"Family's a bunch of assholes," Bardock agreed. "Finish your dinner."

After their deer was completely gone save the bones, Bardock and Raditz laid down on the grass and looked up at the infinity amount of stars. The grass was cold, and a welcoming contrast to the heat they had felt from the fire. The father and son were in the same position with their hands behind their head, legs sprawled out. Raditz noticed his dad was chewing on a piece of grass and did the same, although he didn't admit he hated the way it tasted.

"What do you think the baby's going to be?"

Bardock closed his eyes and smirked thinking of his pregnant mate back at home. "Hopefully nothing like your mother."

"You always say that," Raditz could feel his father's gaze shift to him as he studied the stars. "What's wrong with her? Is it because she's not as strong as you?"

The father inhaled deeply. How much she had changed him scared the shit out of him. She was everything he ever wanted and gave him his future. But anyone cursed with a heart like hers couldn't possibly survive alone. He knew from experience, having saved her ass more than once. "Nothing's wrong with her. I just don't want a son that's soft."

"But Father... You're soft..." Raditz gulped, knowing Bardock was close to strangling him. "You talk to her different than you do with the others! You're like a mushy marshmallow or something."

Bardock's nostrils flared with Raditz made a 'blech' sound with his tongue out. His cheeks had grown hot. "I. am. NOT!"

Raditz inched farther away from his dad just in case his next words would be his death sentence. "Yes you are! I heard you talking to her the other night!" Feeling brave, Raditz sat up and held himself. He turned his back to Bardock so his dad could see him running his hands up and down his own back. "Ohhh, I love you so much! I can't believe you're the mother of my children!"

When a ki blast had hit the side of him, Raditz jumped up and ran as fast as he could threw the grass. He was laughing his head off and shooting ki blasts back at Bardock. He didn't know it at the time, but this was a memory Raditz wished he could register in his mind for the rest of his life.

A/N: The end! :) What a sweet journey it's been. I hope those of you who have been waiting are pleased! Like I said, read Bring Me Home after if you want an unintentional follow up. That one's a bit sad, though.
