All right, let's get going with a brand new Dexter's Lab fanfiction chapter! Anyway, enjoy!

Dexter had no idea how long he had been on the bumpy, wavy ride of the train. As Koosy was sitting in front of the other compartment, knitting a sweater, Dexter looked out the window as he could swear he see Koosy's home planet of Koosland from outer space. That just opened more questions in Dexter's mind, wondering how Dee Dee's imaginary friend's land truly worked. Was Koosy really Dee Dee's imaginary friend, or is he actually a friendly alien from outer space, who played along with Dee Dee's imagination to make her happy?

He shook his head. It was definitely a land of imagination, Dee Dee's imagination, but... he banged his head against the seat, trying to get science out of his mind. Now wasn't the time to be analytical. Dexter's eyes widened as he groaned to himself, "I can't believe I actually thought that last part to myself..."

"What was that, Dexter?" Koosy asked as he looked up from his knitting.

Dexter's eyes widened as he gave a small grin. "N-nothing, nothing..."

All of a sudden, the train suddenly stopped as Koosy looked out with a grin. "Well, here we are in the Land of Romance."

"The Land of Romance? Where IS the Land of Romance?" Dexter asked as he peeked out. "Let me see."

Dexter's eyes widened as he examined the world and all the mushy stuff it provided. Heart balloons were floating everywhere, sugar and chocolate roamed the fields, flowers grew in beautiful patches of grass, and the world was decorated in trees that grew heart decorations and wedding rings of each different jewel type. The boy genius could hardly believe his eyes.

"Well, this is your stop. Feel free to get on out and explore to your heart's content. Hopefully, it opens your eyes to who you are truly destined to be." Koosy said.

"Wait, what? You're not coming with me?" Dexter asked, turning to the imaginary creature in surprise.

"Sorry, Dexter, but as an imaginary friend of Dee Dee's, I'm afraid the Land of Romance doesn't affect my world's inhabitants or Koosalagoopagoops like myself. I only just ride along. Only humans who think they find true love can only enter here." Koosy said as he led Dexter to the exit of the train as the boy got off. "Well, I'll be riding the rails for a little while. The train won't stop by here again until a couple of hours. Hopefully, that'll be enough time for you to find your answers. Well, good luck!"

Koosy waved to the boy as the train door closed. Dexter could only watch as the train departed, with a window opening up and Koosy poking his head out, waving towards the little boy. Dexter could only wave back with a nervous grin before turning towards the strange land. He chuckled nervously before stepping foot as he looked around this strange land. So far, he saw no people, the world remained empty... which was pretty strange, even for him. Were there inhabitants of this world, if any at all.

All of a sudden, he heard a beautiful singing voice call out in the distance. The boy hid himself in front of a large box of chocolates as he peeked out to see a figure approached. His eyes widened in surprise as he recognized said figure in question.

It was an older girl, about a few years older than Dexter, with orange hair, a blue headband, a white blouse that showed her body quite a bit, a blue and green skirt, and black Mary Jane shoes. She had her eyes closed and a nice smile on her face.

"That's Lisa! But what is she-?" Dexter started to say, before pausing. "No. It's not Lisa the babysitter. It's an illusion of some type, probably from the citizens in here. Does this planet read minds before coming here or..." Dexter shook his head as he groaned. "Don't be analytical Dexter, just go with it."

Taking a deep breath, Dexter stepped out of the chocolate tree as Lisa opened her eyes and noticed the boy genius approaching. Lisa gasped in excitement as she ran over and picked up Dexter. "If it isn't my favorite little guy, Dexter! Oh, how have you been?"

"Swell. Never better." Dexter said as he examined the smiling Lisa as he raised an eyebrow, frowning as he thought to himself, "This cannot be correct. I gave up on Lisa quite some time ago... especially since she went back to Jeff after the big misunderstanding... so that means the Lisa in front of me is a..."

"Illusion?" Lisa giggled as the short boy genius's eyes widened, looking up at the Lisa-look alike. "Oh, trust me, Dexter, in the Land of Romance, minds will be read. Even if you put them under some type of steel trap, we'd find a way."

"Right, of course..." Dexter paused. "But why do you look like Lisa? I gave up on that crush on her long ago."

Lisa paused as she did a rather interesting pose, causing Dexter's eyes to widen as he examined the interesting pose she was in, lifting up one leg and trying to move it over her arm. "Quite true, Dexter, you did give up on me. But in this world, everybody here takes the form of all the girls that have either had a crush on you or liked you yourself. Well, come along, Dexter."

Lisa smiled as she offered her hand. Dexter paused as he took the girl's hand. "Where are we going?"

"Why, to the ball, of course!" Lisa smiled. "All the girls that you either have a crush on or really taken an interest in you are going to be there..."

"R-really?" Dexter tugged at his collar, looking up at the look-alike version of his babysitter. "Well then, lead on, my pretty lady?"

Lisa could only giggle as she took the boy's hand and led him on ahead, towards a great, big castle as Dexter looked at it in surprise... before Dexter frowned. "Oh yeah, definitely one of those stupid fantasy worlds..."

"Attention, ladies!" Lisa called out as an assorted number of women dressed up in bright, beautiful ball gowns were seen looking up towards the older babysitter. "As you all know, our dear boy is looking for the right girl to romance, to fall in love with. But who of us would he ever choose? Who will he give our promise of together foreverness to? Does he even have a heart to begin with?"

Lisa clapped her hands as a bright, blue ball gown landed on top of her body as she was now wearing it elegantly. Dexter, who was now in a small tuxedo, watching this amazing development, paused as he gave a grin. "I have to admit, seeing all these girls before me... I never knew I was quite the ladies' man."

"One by one, we'll appear in front of Dexter, see how he'll react to us, and if he'll forever be in our hearts. Let's start off with the best of the best..." Lisa giggled as she daintily walked over and posed in front of the young boy genius. "Oh, Dexter, I know I said that if you were ten years older than me, I would date you... but now I realize that I want to date you right now. Would you be willing to date me?"

Dexter could hardly believe his ears, and yet, he knew this wasn't the real Lisa. But as he examined her, a part of him wanted to say yes, but for some reason, his rational thinking mind was pulling him away as Dexter gave a chuckle. "Do not get me wrong, Lisa, you are a beautiful woman, and as sweet as honey... but I just don't think you're my type. Part of me wants to go with you, but would you truly be happy with me?"

Lisa paused as she put her arms down, looking disappointed, but smiled, "I understand completely. I just hope you make some lucky girl happy."

Dexter could only look at the Lisa look-alike with a smile, before the babysitter turned around and yelled out, "Next girl in line!"

The boy genius could hardly believe all the girls that approached him, one by one, from a realistic version of Darbie, who Dexter rejected right away because he had to remind himself it was just a doll from his hallucination, Miss Wimple, a sweet substitute teacher that Dexter knew she occasionally flirted with him. He shook his head as he shooed her away. Next up was the purple dressed girl with the big eyes as Dexter stared at them for a few seconds, before shaking his head and pointing her towards the right direction. Dexter could hardly believe the next girl coming up was Mary Weather, the girl he read poetry to in a flirataetious voice. She said nothing, but she knew he was giving her a smile. Unfortunately, Dexter did not return the same look of love.

As the next girl, Soyen Chen, approached wearing a white ball gown, the boy genius couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Please, Soyen. Just because we're on equal grounds doesn't mean I'm interested in you."

Soyen gave a small frown as she gave a shrug. "Oh, very well, Dexter. I just chased you and Mandark around, flirting with you anyway."

Dexter frowned as he crossed his arms, rolling his eyes. "This is so ridiculous. What does this have to do with my conflicting feelings for... for..."

It was then Dexter looked up and saw a rather... familiar someone. Romantic music played in the background as a familiar black haired Japanese girl in a beautiful, green ball gown, arrived as she looked around. Slowly, but surely, Dexter got up from his seat and approached, with the girls of Dexter's past watching over him, as some looked either a little jealous, or giving a warm smile. It was at this moment, the girl, who looked like Lee Lee, turned towards Dexter and their eyes locked.

Dexter and Lee Lee held each other, with Lee Lee lifting Dexter up a little as they stared at each other, hearts floating in the air around them. The two of them began to dance to the background music as Dexter started to relax, looking at the lovely eyes of the girl he loved. Even though deep down, he knew this wasn't the real Lee Lee, he felt a special connection, like... this was the right move.

"Dexter... you have such a beautiful mind, and your techno babble is so wonderful, I could listen to it all day long." Lee Lee said in an airy voice as Dexter blushed. The two continued to dance away as the sun shined in the sky, as if casting a spotlight on this lovely couple...

About an hour has passed as the train had arrived at the train station. Dexter was happily shuffling his feet, dancing to the imaginary tune as the train doors opened. Dexter danced inside romantically as Koosy was waiting nearby, raising an eyebrow at the boy genius. Koosy then slapped the boy multiple times to snap him out of the trance.

Koosy gave a small laugh as he asked, "So, what do you think of the Land of Romance, huh? Tell me the truth."

Dexter let out a small happy sigh as he said, "When going inside... I felt like I was lost, wondering who I was... but then our eyes met... and we danced and danced the day away... even though it was more of an hour, it felt like we danced all day. There's no doubt in my mind... I'm in love with Lee Lee..."

The boy fluttered his eyes as he laid down happily. Koosy couldn't help but give a laugh.

"As they say, true love does find a way." Koosy grinned, before pausing. "Anyway, don't think too hard. It's almost six o'clock your time."

"Six o'clock..." Dexter sighed happily, before his mind registered the words as Dexter's eyes widened. "Oh no! Six o'clock! Where does the time go, I need to catch up on beauty sleep! Though the last time I slept all day was when I couldn't get a good night's sleep, and Dee Dee always..."

Koosy laughed a bit as he pulled out a small mint. "Dexter, relax. Here, eat this."

Dexter raised an eyebrow in confusion before taking the mint and swallowing it. All of a sudden, the lids around his eyes started to brighten up as Dexter paused. "What is this? Is this a magic mint?"

"You could say that. When taking this mint, you'll feel like you had eight hours of sleep and be bushy-eyed for the day. The effect lasts at least until the next night, say, nine P.M. your time." Koosy explained as the train started to depart back to Koosland. "Anyway, don't thank me, Dexter. As soon as we get home, you'll be back, safe and sound."

Dexter paused as he looked at the imaginary friend with a smile. "You know, Koosy, my mind is quite open a little bit. Thanks for the assist in helping."

"Oh, any time, friend." Koosy laughed. "And hey, stop by for tea whenever you want, if you're planning on visiting next."

"I just might do that." Dexter shrugged as the train headed straight for Koosland.

Upon arriving back in Dee Dee's room, Dexter shut the mirror that revealed the portal to Koosland before carefully sneaking out of Dee Dee's room, so as not to disturb her sleep. As Dexter gave a small smile, he looked up at the clock and noticed that six AM had struck. Knowing that his parents were just getting up, he quickly rushed to his room and was about to get ready for bed... when he stopped and noticed something rather... peculiar.

The bookcase entrance to the lab was open. Raising an eyebrow, he went inside the lab, wondering what could have possessed the lab doors to open at this time of night. Of course, as soon as he stepped in the multiple rooms, his eyes widened in horror. A blaring red light was flashing as multiple inventions had fallen over, some of the animals were running amok, and his computer was flashing 'INTRUDER'.

"Computer, what happened?" Dexter asked as he pushed the button.

"It was a complete sneak attack, Dexter. Someone tripped the alarm to one of your inventions, and your robots activated!" The computer started to talk.

"Did you see who the perpetrator was?" Dexter asked.

"Negative. All the security cameras were tampered with." The computer sighed.

"Well... do you know what they stole?" Dexter bit his lip, looking rather concerned.

"It was your recent invention... the imagination weapon..." The computer said in a sad tone.

Dexter covered his mouth in horror, wondering what this could possibly mean...
