Hey! so this is my first fanfiction and first human au too. Just because i'm a new writer doesn't mean you can't be honest with your thoughts. You can say whatever you want to say about this story. I'm pretty much sure that i will be able to bare it so enjoy!

He shook his head,right and left in sleep. Sweat coat his brows and a good part of his face. He began to murmur things,while squeezing his eyes. Suddenly, snnaping his eyes open, he bolt upright in his bed. He gasp for air, eyes widen in horror. Flashes of his nightmare began to flood his mind. The worst part is its not only a nightmare, -that he could easily forget and move on- but also a flashback. A flash back of his painful past. He shook his head to stop the tears welling in his eyes.

"Leo!? " a sound of his name been called snapped twelve-years old leonardo from his thoughts.

He shaprly turned his head towards the source of the sound. While trying to adjacet his sleepy eyes to the well grown darkness, nine-years old Donatello looked at his older brother. From the bright lightbeams of the full moon hung in the night sky proudly,he looked at his sweaty, a little shaky but still smilling brother. He reached in to turn on the bed lamp near to his bed. But leo stopped him shaking his head and gesturning to the still-well-sleeping forms of their other two brothers.

Right in the exact moment, ten years old Raphael raise his fists in the air and began to fight his unseen foe still in a sleep. While eight years old Michealangelo began to inhale the odorless atmosphere in to his lungs grately and smiled brightly, saying "pizza" and wrapped his arms around his covers. Leo and Donnie looked at each other before shaking their heads while smilling fondly. 'Boys!'

Leos smile disappeared and replaced with a sad frown as he realized he was the reason for breaking his third-youngest brother's peacefull slumber. He lifted his head up to a still-fondly-smilling Donatello. "Donnie." he said gaining his attention before smilling sheepishly at him. ''I'm sorry if i waked you up.'' he whisperd.( for the fact he was feeling so ashamed and he didn't wanted to wake up his other two sleeping brothers too) Despite for leos sadness Donnie shook his head while smillig. '' Its fine'' he said before replacing his smile with a worried glance. ''Are you okay?'' ''Yeah just a nightmare i guess'' was only his answer. Leo looked down at his legs covered with warm covers. Noticing worry began to fiil his older brothers face, he decided to help. Atleast he will be able to give him a little comfort. ''Wanna talk about it?'' he asked readying himself for a long scary story ( that had succesesly scared his almost fearless brother) if needed.

But again leo shook his head. '' Just a flashback of my past ''. Its true leo had talked about his past, but it was also true that he hadn't open his mind to tell the full story. They had tried to get through his brother wanting nothing more than to help. But leo had been successful in those all times to lock his past away from them. But they never knew why.

'' leo!-'' he began. Seen that his younger brother was about to convince him to open up his locked-away-gates, leo cut him off. ''I'm fine donnie! Just go back to sleep!'' Seen that he had no other choices, Donnie sigh defeatedly before burring himself in to his warm coveres. ''Good night leo!'' he said softly before waiting for a reply. ''Night!'' he didn't had to wait longer before leo greeted him back even more softly, before drifting back to his dreamworld full of scientific equations and new inventions. Everyone mused that most of the time Donnie gets ideas to his new inventions from his dreams. But that's the genious!

Leo sighed again before deciding to weather go back to sleep full of night mares or going to train for awhile. Glancing at the clock that read 3.00 am in the morning he decided to go to train. Training always kept his mind away from those horrowfull flahbacks of his sweat little sister. He shook his head again to clear his mind. Climbing down from his warm comfortable bed, leo silently made his way over to the door. He placed his hand on the doorknob before turning back to look at his new family who is now sleeping peacefully under warm comfortable coveres. Leo smiled fondly and determination filled his mind.

'' I won't let you down! I won't let the same mistake happen again! Promise!'' He smiled before slowly opening the door and went out of the room. He took a minute to look back at his new family, he slowly closed the door and made his way over to the dojo. His life has been turned upside down, when he gain a new family whatever happend he won't hesitate to give away anything to protect his new brothers, his new family.
