A/N: Hello! I am so sorry that it has been so long since I update this or any of my stories. It's been a crazy amazing but difficult few years for me and for a while I lost my interest and love of writing. Thankfully I have recovered that passion and here is the new chapter. I should have the next chapter ready to go hopefully by Monday or Tuesday next week. Please enjoy this chapter and review to let me know how you like it and if there's something you want to see as the story goes on and I will do what I can to make it a possibility.

Disclaimer: I don't it or them. I really really don't.

Beca sat and watched as the sun rose over the city, coffee in hand and throw messily draped across her legs, book discarded to the side long ago. Today was the day she thought, 'When the hell started'. Jesse's trial. It had been a very long process. The trial ended up being put off for nearly a year so they were coming up to 18 months after the events of that fateful night everyone was waiting and it was difficult just to put it behind you and move on knowing that you would have to relive it at any moment. The trial began today, and she wasn't ready. Sure, they had prepared and gone over and over the statements the happenings the events that led up to the night outside the hospital. However, no amount of prepping could truly prepare any of them, mentally, to relive these horrific events in detail. She had to show the jury and everyone else in that courtroom just how much of a horrific, unstable person Jesse was. She felt responsible for the result of this trial. She would determine whether or not the jury would find him guilty and she could help but be terrified.

She sat in silent contemplation for a while longer before a hand on her shoulder snapped her from her thoughts. She looked up to see Bree stood sleepily in her pyjamas.

"Couldn't sleep?" Beca asked softly, making space in her lap for the blonde.

"I woke up and you weren't there" Bree whispered in a shy tone that was highly unusual for the feisty blonde girl. Aubrey plonked herself down rather ungracefully into Beca's lap curling up as Beca covered them with the soft throw.

"Yeah I'm sorry" Beca replied quietly, unsure of how to explain her absence to her fiancé.

"What's going on Becs? You aren't usually one to miss out on sleep. Is it tomorrow?" Aubrey asked Beca.

For a few minutes Beca was silent, holding Aubrey close. She thought of how to respond to the question.

"I can't explain it. I'm ready but I'm not if that makes sense? I'm ready for this all to be over but I'm not sure I'm ready to face it again." Beca eventually replied to Aubrey.

"It does make sense baby. You are feeling so much right now and all the trial prep we did was to do with statements and questions. You're feeling everything all together again. Memories of that time. We all need to be able to move on and hopefully it will happen when this is over" Aubrey said to Beca sounding more awake now. Beca didn't reply just nodded and pulled Bree in closer to her.

This was how Chloe found them a few hours later. She had woken up feeling blindly beside her and not finding either of her fiancés in bed she looked at the clock on the bedside table and saw it showed 5:13 am. She decided to go in search of Beca and Bree. She ventured into the kitchen, finding a pot half full of lukewarm coffee. She snuck quietly into the living room, finding Aubrey curled up in Beca's lap, the fluffy throw puddled on the floor. Chloe assumed that it had once been coving the girls sleeping in the chair at some point. She walked over to the girls and gently stroked Bree's back until she woke up a little.

"Hey baby. Come to bed, its only quarter past five in the morning and we don't have to be up till half eight" Chloe whispered in the hopes on not bringing the blonde girl fully out of her sleepy state. Aubrey shot Chloe a smile and shuffled toward the bedroom again pausing at the door to watch Chloe and Beca's exchange.

Chloe bent down carefully and put her hand on Beca's knee, shaking it lightly. Beca didn't wake up but merely made a small, un-Beca like grunt, and fell quiet again. Chloe realised that there was no way she was waking Beca up so decided to carry her to bed.

She carefully positions her arms around Beca and pulled her up fairly easily from the chair. Beca barely stirred, only moving to cuddle into Chloe's neck. Bree watched on leaning against the door frame, a smile on her face as she thought about how lucky she was to have not one but two of the most amazing people she has ever met. She was still daydreaming about her girls when Chloe appeared in front of her, Beca safely in her arms.

"Ready to go back to bed?" Chloe whispered softly.

"Of course," replied Aubrey, walking over to the bed and flopping down, shuffling over to the far side so Chloe could place Beca down in the middle.

Chloe and Aubrey said good night to each other and positioned themselves on the bed, so they were all intertwined together. The girls fell asleep again, soundly sleeping knowing that they had each other and they'd make it through whatever this trial would throw up at them.
