Woah, would you look at that… I've written something non-sad/depressing/angst/death AND in non-poem form for once O_o Mark the date and time, people.
Don't own Pixar, or Inside Out, or any of the characters within, I just had this little scene pop into my head the second I saw the button, and heard Joy say "After all, Riley's 12 now. What could happen?" at the end. Hope you all like it! Let me know if you had the same sort of scenario pop into your head as well!
"After all, Riley's 12 now. What could happen?"
Back at the control center…
Fear flexed his hands and fluttered his fingers lightly across the keyboard. So. Many. Buttons. What if he hit a wrong one? Or a weird one? It'd be all his fault and everyone would remember it forever! He clapped both hands over his eyes and slumped onto the console with a moan. It was too much responsibility. Too much!
"HEY LOSER!"
Fear jumped in the air with a piercing scream and fell back on the console, frantically scrambling over it to hide.
Anger roared with laughter from the doorway. "YOU SHOULDA SEEN YOUR STUPID LITTLE FACE HAHAHA! IT WORKS EVERY TIME!"
Suddenly, the main control chamber began to shift in form and color and they both paused to look up. Disgust, Joy, and Sadness all poked their heads in and stared in amazement as the control panel widened even farther, and flashing lights emerged from the ceiling.
Disgust rolled her eyes. "Alright, what did you two do?"
Fear whimpered, pointing at the control panel with a trembling hand before slumping dramatically off to the side.
There, in the upper left corner of the console, the case around the strange "puberty" button was broken, and the button was firmly sealed down.
Joy was the first to recover, as the others stood around in various states of shock and confusion. "Well, ah, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. It can't be any worse than getting lost in long-term memory, can it?"
Sadness thought back to the manual she'd read. "Ohhhh dear," she sighed. "You have no idea."
