This was from an ask I got maybe 2 summers ago asking for a three sentence Jasico Hogwarts AU, but whoops, I'm total trash and let it sit in my drafts. I think this is actually four sentences, but, oh well. Hope you guys like it!

"Let it be . . . Hufflepuff!"

Nico instantly smiled with relief as he jumped off the stool and bounded over to the Hufflepuff table, where the people at said table were cheering wildly, the loudest and proudest of the all the people in the Great Hall.

As Nico made himself comfortable, the Sorting Hat flew through names of various first years, and Nico only really paid attention when Jason Grace's, the cute blond Nico had met on the train, name was called.

After a few seconds of silence, all of which Nico spent crossing his fingers under the table, ("Please be Hufflepuff, please be Hufflepuff,"), the Sorting Hat's voice echoed as he loudly proclaimed "Gryffindor!"

Nico didn't even try to mask his disappointment.
