"Well, it's all over then..." Hashirama said from his spot in the afterlife as he watched the pink-haired girl tend to his and Madara's next incarnations whom they'd had the somewhat dubious fortune of meeting.

"Yes it is." Madara said from his new spot at Hashirama's side, rather than from his usual position of skulking around in the background hoping nobody asked what the hell he was up to and ruined the surprise before everything was ready.

"Hey, wanna see the new Jutsu I developed?" Tobirama said, coming up to the pair and flopping down at Hashirama's other side, obviously enjoying how Madara bristled at this.

"What's your new Jutsu?" Hashirama asked, looking openly curious.

"Well, after seeing and hearing that my student's student's student's student's students were you two, I decided to see who else was someone else before they were them." Tobirama said. "The Jutsu I came up with should cause a prior incarnation of an individual to light up when it's used on the targeted individual."

"That sounds...kinda neat actually." Madara said.

"So, who do you think we should use it on to test it out?" Hashirama asked.

Madara, who couldn't find Izuna anywhere in the massive crowd they'd landed amongst when they'd turned up back in the afterlife pointed at Itachi, figuring he'd be the next best thing since he was the only relative he could see in the imidiate vicinity.

"Oh, come on," Tobirama said with a roll of his eyes. "No bet. We all know who he's going to turn out to be, what with his loving and protecting your next incarnation in his own bonkers little way and giving his eyes up for him when he died."

"Just do it Tobirama." Hashirama said. "I half suspect that Madara wants you to do it in order to find Izuna in this mess."

"Fine." Tobirama sighed before doing the jutsu and aiming it at Uchiha Itachi who instinctively took up a defensive stance as it came barreling at him.

An instant later, Senju Tobirama lit up a brilliant green.

"TOBIRAMA!" Madara roared the instant he got over his shock and the full implications of what this meant finally hit him. "You utter bastard!"
