"I'm just saying swimming could be helpful! If I die that would be your fault!" CJ was on the woman's heels. She was curious about her. After the woman looked just like her! "I would be easy to teach and you can consider that rum a payment."
"Yeah, not gonna happen," Emma got to what she was guessing shop. It was old, falling apart and she turned around. "How do we get outta here, CJ?"
"Well, there's the entrance where people come in but we never go out," CJ got in front of her hands on her hips. "I'll take you to it since you have magic but you gotta take me too."
"I wasn't leaving you here," Emma looked around. "I don't want to leave anyone here. This place looks like hell."
"Yeah, kinda is," CJ rushed ahead of her. "Come on! I'll show you the way!"
Running after her Emma's mind was racing. A while ago she and Killian had talked about keeping Harry with them. The only thing they had been worried about was how they were going to get CJ. This wasn't the way but she was going to roll with it.
As she ran along Emma could help but look around at the decaying place. Depressing as it was she kept trying to picture Harry here. Of course, he grew up here, she knew that but seeing it? It made her sick to her stomach.
She had to get them out of there fast!
"We can't just let him leave," Rumple said as both he and Belle watched Ben packing up things to take with him. Even adding a sword and dagger to his back. He also wanted to get a house and take off to go find his friends. "I think we should talk him into staying."
"No, he needs to find his friends." Belle watched. "If anything we should go with him. Maybe we can help."
"Ah, not really. I might have kidnapped a few of his friends let's say some of their parents are not too happy with me at the moment,"
"You did what?!" Belle gave him a look. "Well, great, can I still have tea with Ursula and Regina this weekend?"
"I'm going to say no,"
"This is why we don't have friends," Belle sighed before pausing. "That and you keep curing and betraying people."
"I can hear you," Ben said and looked overlooking unsure. "And I'm a bit worried about you two now."
"Oh, don't worry about us, dearie," Rumple said. "I still think that you should stay."
"I have to find my friends and the others," He took a moment. "I know what you think of me as yours because the others have done it, but I have parents. As much as I wish that I could help you heal whatever it is that happened I can't. What I need to do is go make sure everyone I alright and safe."
They two stayed silence until Belle let out a breath and smiled. "Then we're going with you."
"Besides might as well go to them before they can get to me,"
"That's your fault and no one else's," Belle shook her head. "Alright, let's go gather our things so we can leave before noon."
"I don't understand, why aren't they waking up?!" Curella snapped as she held Carlos in her arms even though he was out cold. They were on a bed. "They've been like this for almost two days!"
"I have no idea, but it's not a curse," Regina had bearly slept as she rubbed her face. They had summoned eight bends into the large room. Each one had one of the kids on it. Evie as still asleep and sometimes mumbled stuff but never woke up. "I couldn't have been."
"We've used all our magic to see if there was a curse and came up with nothing," Ursula was holding Uma's hand as she frowned. "What could cause this? No ripples of magic, no clues, no nothing."
"It's like their just extremely tired," Maleficent scrawled. "I don't like this. Something else is going on here, I can feel it,"
"Whatever the cases it may be," Killian spoke up as he took a cold small towel and wiped Harry's forehead with it. "It's upsetting them."
"Mal's having another nightmare," Lily added as she moved denied the tears. "I don't think she can hear me and whatever is must be bad. I mean, you all said where they came from was hell right?"
"You think it has to do with their home?" Gaston asked before he paused. "They're reliving their past in their minds."
"Even if its nightmares of the past we should be able to wake them up," Jafar looked deep in thought before he paused. "I think I have something that might help up,"
They all turned to him as he tapped his staff to the floor three times. Eyes closed he summoned a box. Picking it up from the floor he opened it. Inside there were eight small orbs. He picked them up and handed one to each of the parents.
"This will let us into their dreams," Jafar walked over to Jay look at his sleeping son. "They were pulled into Storybroke and now into this realm. It's not a curse, I think it's like…"
"A magical coma," Regina said looking up as she let out a huff of relived air. "Their magic is trying to heal them but it's acting like a semi-curse."
"And they're so badly hurt…" Ursula pulled Uma closer. "That once they made it into the Enchanted forest.."
"Thier bodies and mind could handle it so the magic put them to sleep," Maleficent took the orb before handing Lily her staff. "You take care of things out here, my dear."
"Sure, just," Lily sighed and died more silent tears. "Just make sure she's alright,"
"We'll be back soon,"
They all held the orb to each kid's temple before they vanished.
Emma touched the barrier.
The hum of magic could be felt through her veins. Strong magic, but she had been able to use her own, which meant she could breakthrough. Putting her hands flat on it she took a breathe eyes closing as he pulled from her core.
"Hold on there, blondie,"
Snapping around Emma was ready to fight when she raised an eyebrow. "Who are you?"
"Well, ain't that sad? You get tossed into hell and everyone forgets who you are," The laugh was a bit bitter but the man got closer. "I've been following the news from that little sunshine place on the other side."
"Okay. Why?"
CJ took out her sword. "What do you want Hades?!"
"Hades?" Emma looked him over. "Gotta say like the look,"
"Ah, so you've heard of me?"
"Well, your counterpart was sorta… part of the family in our world. Well, uh?" Emma paused thinking about the confusing family tree before shaking her head. "What did you want?"
"I want to know where Mal is." He got closer. "She's been missing and on one seems to be talking about her, so I want to know where she is,"
"She's with Maleficent. Well, with my Maleficent and her daughter Lily from our world," Emma was trying to figure out what he wanted but when she seemed to relax a little bit she wondered. "How do you know Mal?"
"Just curious,"
"No, that's a lie," Emma stepped closer. "You're worried about her,"
"Look, blondie, I can wonder about future Villians," Hade lied easily. "Better keep eyes on potential powerful ones can always benefit me."
"You're worried about her," Emma crossed her arms. "Why?"
"Worried? No, no, no, I don't get worried, I keep an eye on who is who and where who is all the time,"
"Yeah, not buying it. Got my own superpower and you're lying, but I want to know why?"
"Because I can,"
"Yeah, but you know I can open the barrier. I can tell before you keep looking at it, but you started to walk back to your… uh, house?" Emma got closer. "Why would you pass up an opportunity to leave this place?"
"I have my reasons," Hades crossed his arms then looked at CJ as the small girl glared up at him. "You have Harry then?"
"My boyfriend is taking care of him," Emma took a moment to notice that he had called Harry by his name. Not with any malice or disdain. It was more of making sure. "You know him?"
"Seen him around, sometimes they sneak into my place to steal my food," Hades laughed as if it was funny. "Luckily I don't need to eat I just like the taste."
Looking him over Emma was getting the picture. While Hades didn't seem to care about getting out or even her but the way he talked about the kids and the way he looked so relieved about Mal as well her ability to know when someone was lying it clicked.
He was worried about the kids.
The God let them steal his food so they could survive-
"Your missing one,"
"What?" Emma looked up, damn had she really just gone off in though in the middle of a standoff?! "What did I forget?"
"There's another one," Hade's pointed to CJ. "Harriet, Harry, and CJ. If you want to find her I suggest you go to Dragon Hall. She likes to run her gang there,"
"Another one?"
"Three. Welp, i better get going," Hades turned to leave, "As long as Mal is fine, I have nothing to worry about,"
"What if she isn't?" Emma asked. As she could get to know Hades a little more maybe she could tell what he wanted to do. "They got sent to the Enchanted Forest, and the others are good to her, but the Forest is always filled with a new person seeking to destroy anyone and anything,"
The man paused and slowly turned around eyes darkening. "Are you tell me she might not be safe?"
"It could happen,"
"Where is the Enchanted forest?"
"I'll take you there,"
"Hey!" CJ looked up at her. "If you're going I'm coming too!"
"You are, and," Emma walked up to Hades as they looked into each other eyes trying to figure each other out. "We can save the kids."
"Huh, you figure it out, hm?"
"...Yeah?"
"You are a horrible liar," Hades laughed before shaking his head. "Not the brightest flame in the underworld are you?"
"Uh, no?" Emma frowned. "Either case, help me get Harriet and I'll take you to see Mal since she's your-"
"Ah-ah-ah," Hades put his finger to her lips. "Some secrets are meant to stay secret."
"Fine." Emma moved away before walking off. "Let's go,"
Hades watched her go before waiting. When she came back awkwardly he turned to walk off to the left. "Dragon Hall's this way,"
CJ walked alongside Emma and looked up at her for a second before back down. Her memory was really fuzzy but she thought or is still thinking that Emma kind of looked like her mother. Maybe? CJ only knew that her mom die when she was only four but there was something about the older blonde that made her wonder about her mother.
"Where are we?" Mal said as she looked around the stone castle. It was crumbling dangerously around them. Looking around at the decaying room she crossed her arms. It was getting cold in there. "Mom? Lily?"
Fanning herself Um took in a deep breath. It was hot in here. She was sweating and the air heavy with humidity. Taking in some deep breaths she looked around. "Why is it so hot in here?"
"Are you kidding? It's freezing," Mal's lips were turning blue. "How can you be hot?"
"Girl, you're crazy, it's boiling in here," Looking around Uma went to a window. "There's a river down there. I need to go for a swim,"
"It's too cold," Mal mumbled as she wrapped her around herself tiring to keep warm. She followed the teal haired girl out of the caste eyes closing a few times for seconds instead of a quick blink. "We n-need to find the others,"
"Water first," Uma mumbled as the hot sun seemed to make her feel like his body was on fire. When she got to the water she dove in, relife filling as the coolness met her body. Popping back up she looked at Mal. "You really are cold aren't you?"
"Y-y-yeah," Mal sat down on a stone. "How come you're f-f-feeling hot a-and I'm c-c-cold?" `
"I have no idea, but why not make a fire?" Uma used a tentacle to knock down a try. "There. Set it on fire, maybe it'll help,"
Taking a moment Mal summoned up what she could as she threw a fireball at the tree. It set on fire and she moved closer to the warmth as her body started to warm up. Looking around she glanced at Uma.
"Do you think they'll know where to find us?"
"My mom's gonna come looking for me," Uma sank a bit lower. "She promised me,"
"Promises can be broken,"
"Yeah, you would know about that, huh?" Uma snapped, the bad blood between them still there, just unspoken or remind of until that moment. "Stick to your tree and I'll stick to my river,"
Lily was rushing back and forth with cold towels to put on the kids' heads. The second she got done with the place the last cold towel on the last one's head she would have to start over. These fevers that started up couldn't possibly be because of magical coma.
"It has to be a curse…" Lily mumbled as she placed another cold towel on Gil's head before moving to put another one on Evie. "What kinda curse would cause this?!"
"A dark curse of course," A voice said. "Although I find it strange that it latched onto these children instead of those who I was targeting."
Turning around with her hands out as swords appeared Lily's eyed winded. "The Dark Fairy?!"
"Yes," Fiona fake smile pulled on her face as she took a step closer. "And who would have guessed such small things could survive this long?"
"What did you do?!"
"Oh don't worry, they won't suffer long," She turned to leave the darkness surrounded her as she gave an evil chuckle. "The dead never do,"
