Kill the Proposal

At the base camp of Esdeath troops on the northern frontier...

In a dark and cold night a furious blizzard was roaring outside the tents of Esdeath troops who were fighting against the invaders of the northern countries that wanted to take advantage of the current state of the Empire due to the ongoing revolution taking place in most part of its territory.

"Man... I'm freezing! No ocean i navigated while in the imperial navy was this cold!" Wave exclaimed while shivering from the cold temperatures outside the Jaegers tent.

"The winter is still several weeks away, but the temperature right now must be several degrees below zero." Ran said as their tent furiously flapped because of the strong winds outside it.

"Must be because we're so far in the north." Akame's younger sister told both young men while wrapped in a blanket while she recalled about her sister and her actions during their fight against Izou.

The three Jaegers were still recovering from the injuries they sustained a few days ago during the battle along Night Raid against Wild Hunt.

"Achoo!" The former navy man sneezed loudly, catching Kurome's attention.

"K-kurome!?" A blushing Wave exclaimed as the young girl went to cuddle up on his lap to keep both of them warm.

A few moments later, Esdeath went inside their tent while being covered in a few inches of snow.

"General Esdeath!" The three Jaegers stood up at the woman who seemed not to be bothered in the slightest by the extreme weather conditions.

"I'm going back to the capital at first hour in the morning." Esdeath told her three subordinates, causing them to react in surprise.

"But General, it's too dangerous to head to the capital now that Syura is after us for betraying him!" Wave exclaimed worried.

"The three of us are going to be judged and hanged as traitors, and will probably do the same to you for helping us." The black haired girl knowing very well what betrayal meant in the Empire, told his superior.

"I'm not going to allow that against my precious subordinates!" The Ice Queen stated.

"General, you know Syura is behind all of this. He's most probably tending you a trap" Ran, who was silently listening to the conversation told the young woman.

"Don't worry. I'm going to take care of him after i met with Minister Honest, meanwhile you guys still need some days some days to recover, so stay here and rest." Esdeath said with her characteristic unwavering confidence.

The fearsome Esdeath who despite her cruel and bloodlust nature, always cared deeply about the well-being of her loyal subordinates.

"Are you not going to object to our general's decision, Ran?" Wave questioned his blonde friend.

"I won't, Wave. Keep in mind the Emperor and the Prime Minister need the General more than ever to defend the Imperial Capital against the revolutionary army now with General Budo and his legion gone."

"Well, i guess you are probably right about that..." The dark blue haired man said feeling slightly relieved by the words of his comrade.

The next morning...

As Esdeath was preparing to leave on her dragon beast, she looked at the horizon and noticed that the snowstorm from last night had seemingly stopped, while leaving all the surrounding mountains covered in deep snow in a picture that resembled a giant white blanket on top of all the mountain peaks.

"Tatsumi... Why did you leave my side and joined Night Raid?" The sky blue haired woman asked still confused by the actions of the boy she loved.

"Are you okay, General?" Wave asked his superior after looking at her unusual troubled face, wondering if it was because of Tatsumi's betrayal.

"I'm okay, Wave."

"I'm going to find you once i deal with Syura and demand answers from you!" Esdeath said in her mind as she headed back to the capital.

At Night Raid's current hideout...

A troubled Tatsumi couldn't conceal sleep, worried about the Tyrant growing influence due to constant use of Incursio which made the youg assassin to almost lose control of himself the last time he used it, if not for Mine calling his name.

"What's going to happen to me now that the Tyrant is trying to dominate my body and mind each time i use Incursio? Am i really going to become a mindless beast not able to recognize between friends and enemies?" The young man asked to himself while feeling scared and depressed about his fate.

Suddenly, his girlfriend hugged him and placed his head on her chest.

"Mine?"

"You know you aren't alone in this, right? We are together in this with you, no matter what happens." The soon-to be-mother assured her boyfriend, who got comforted by her supporting words.

"I'm gonna do my best to overcome the tyrant!" Tatsumi said to his beloved one with a smile.

"I'm sure you will, after all you are my boyfriend and father of my children!" The short girl exclaimed.

"So warm.." The young man mumbled as he relaxed and fell asleep as he buried his head on Mine's small but round breasts while also hugging her big belly.

"He sleeps like a big baby!" The pregnant girl exclaimed with a giggle as she tenderly looked at him before sleeping in her boyfriend's arms.

The next morning our hero woke up determined to propose marriage to Mine, as it was the perfect moment before going to search for Incursio's first owner to ask him for help in order to control the fearsome danger beast.

"Hey Mine, would you walk with me outside the base. I need to ask you something important." The young assassin told his girlfriend.

"Okay, just don't make walk so much because the babies weigh is really taking a toll to me."

When the couple got outside the base, they reached a tall beautiful cherry blossom tree that began to lose its leafs, which marked the middle of autumn and the proximity of the winter.

"So beautiful!" Mine happily exclaimed as she was looking at the falling cherry blossoms around her.

The pregnant girl turned around as a light breeze made her long twintails to flow while pink petals were slowly dancing around her. She then looked at Tatsumi with a light blush on her cheeks and a warm expression that made his heart beat like crazy before proposing to her.

"So what were you going to ask me?" Mine asked with curiosity at the boy she loved.

The former country boy suddenly felt nervous, but gathered enough courage and took a decorated ring outside his pocket that he managed to buy in a jewerly during one of his undercover missions at the imperial capital.

"Would you become mine for the rest of your life?" The boy asked while staring with determination at his girlfriend's eyes as he put the beautiful ring on her annular finger.

The shocked pink haired didn't said anything and began to sob.

"You don't want it?" Tatsumi asked with a sad expression on his face.

"OF COURSE I WANT TO BE WITH YOU THE REST OF MY LIFE YOU BAKA!" Mine exclaimed loudly with tears of happiness falling from her eyes.

Tatsumi was so happy he grabbed Mine by the waist and lifted her in the air making her to feel like a little girl.

"P-put me down! I'm starting to feel dizzy right now!" Mine demanded.

"S-sorry. I got too happy!"

The two lovers then laughed and looked intensely at each other's eyes. Act followed, the young couple shared a long passionate kiss under the big cherry blossom tree, reaffirming once again their strong love.

"You better threat me like a queen from now on, okay?" The pinkette said while doing a playful grin.

"As you wish your majesty!"

"Kyaaaah!?" A surprised Mine exclaimed as her fiance carried her with his arm like a princess, something that caused the tsundere to blush and become shy much to Tatsumi's surprise.

"Wow, despite being pregnant with twins, Mine is still as light as a feather." The young man thought as he carried his fianceè back to the base.

Back into the hideout, the two were congratulated by their comrades.

"So when is the weeding?" Najenda asked curious, but not really surprised by the decision of her subordinates.

"We decided to get married after the war is over." Mine happily replied as she was holding hands with her fiance.

"I see.."

"Congratulations to both of you." Akame told the couple with a warm voice.

"Thanks Akame." Tatsumi acknowledged his crimson eyed comrade.

"Can't wait to get drunk at the wedding party!" Leone cheerfully exclaimed, making her comrades to look at her in resignation at her wild behaviour.

"Man, you really managed to conquer the heart of such a fierce flat-chested tsundere!" Lubbock told his friend with a wide smile.

"Huh, what's a tsundere?" Tatsumi asked confused.

"I-I am not flat nor a tsun-whatever!" The girl furiously protested also unsure of the meaning of said word, but thinking Lubbock was insulting her.

As Tatsumi was trying his best to calm Mine for the words of the green haired boy, Akame remembered something important.

"Wasn't Tatsumi supposed to depart today to search for Incursio's first owner, boss?"

"I'm going to leave him to spent the rest of the day with Mine. It's going to help him to focus on what's coming next." The former told his subordinate while she looked at the couple with a smile.

The couple spent the rest of the day together making preparations for their wedding and being all lovey-dovey.

The next morning a determined Tatsumi with renewed spirts departed with Najenda to find the man who was the key to control the fearsome beast inside Incursio.

Will Tatsumi be able to find Incursio's first owner and control the Tyrant?
