"I have a sister?" Gracelynn questioned shocked, not fully believing what her ears were hearing. Or what her parents were telling her. How could she not have known that she had a sister?

Lou nodded, "A half sister from your birth father. Her name is Starla."

"Starla." Gracelynn repeated, "And she's in foster care."

"Yes. Your birth father was arrested." Brandon informed his youngest daughter. He didn't feel like it was necessary to say that her birth father was arrested for armed robbery and grand theft auto.

Gracelynn gave a nod. How could her father have not chosen to take care of her too? 'Maybe he didn't know about me?' Gracelyn thought, wanting to give her birth father the benefit of the doubt.

"Are you and Mom going to take her in?"

Brandon looked at his wife and then back at his kids, "Only if it's alright with you kids."

"I want to know my sister."

Hallianna shrugged, "It's fine with me." She truly didn't mind. She loved being a big sister, and it was true that Gracelynn and Franklin could never replace her biological brother Kenneth, but having Gracelynn and Franklin did make her miss Kenny less.

"Am I going to be the only boy in this family?" Franklin asked

Lou laughed, "I don't know, buddy."

Franklin sighed, "Okay. It's fine with me too." He looked at Brandon, "There's enough to go around. Right, Dad?"

"Right, bud." Brandon agreed.

Brandon and Lou didn't know it yet, but Starla's father was going to sign away his parental rights and plead guilty for a lesser sentence. He wasn't a bad guy. He had just made a mistake, getting mixed up in the wrong crowd trying to provide a better life for his daughter.

At Mariana and Mat's house in Arabella's bedroom, William and Arabella were in there refusing to let Andrew in. Ever since Arabella's adoption it felt like she and William had developed a deeper brother and sister bond, leaving their little brother feeling like the odd man out.

Andrew was sitting outside the bedroom door, sick of feeling left out, he decided that he needed a sibling to be close to. He ran downstairs to his parents.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Andrew yelled

"What is it, buddy?" Mat asked as he picked up his youngest son

"I want a little sister."

Mariana looked at her son, "A little sister?"

Andrew nodded, "Ara and Willie keep leaving out."

"Well they are closer in age." Mat explained

"That's why I need a little sister."

Mariana glanced at Mat and then back at her son, "Well, baby, Daddy and I need to talk about it."

"Okay." Andrew agreed, letting out a sigh.

Meanwhile at Callie and AJ's house, Mollianne had taken Elizabeth to the park and Callie was at work, so it was just Scottlynn and AJ at home. The past few days Scottlynn had been throwing up, so she stayed home instead of going to the park. She had been telling her family that she had probably gotten the flu. However, she really hoped that what she was thinking was true, so she opened her secret go bag in the closet, took out a box, and then headed into the bathroom.

The go bag was something that she had started when she eight, a few months after being placed with the Granthan family, but during the two years that she and Mollianne were in that home she could never It was two years of hell for Scottlynn, but she could never bring herself to leave because she didn't know what she would do or where she would go. Even if it was hell, at least she had a roof over her head. She could take her sister out of the home and take her out of the streets where they could potential be in more danger. For an eight year old Scottlynn was pretty smart when it came to stranger danger.

At the park with Mollianne and Elizabeth, Mollianne was a bit distracted and didn't even notice that her little sister was trying to get her attention. Mollianne was worried about Scottlynn, who she didn't believe actually had the flu.

"Mollie!" Elizabeth screamed

"What's up, Lizzie?"

Elizabeth stared at Mollianne quizzically, "I was calling you."

"I...Sorry. I have a lot of my mind."

There was only one time when Mollianne had seen Scottlynn sick like she was right now, but she hadn't know what was wrong with Scottlynn then and she didn't know what was wrong now.

"Is it about Scottie throwing up?" Elizabeth wondered, "Because I'm worried about her too."

Mollianne paused, but decided to change the subject, "You know what, how about I push you on the swing?"

"Okay." Elizabeth agreed.

Mollianne had done with Elizabeth what Scottlynn has always down since Mollianne could talk. The thirteen year old now understood how Scottlynn felt about her, always wanting to protect her innocence by lying or changing the topic.

Back at the house, in the bathroom, Scottlynn opened the box and then peed on the little stick, which she then placed on the counter. Pacing back and forth in the bathroom, she set a timer and waited four minutes.

When there was just a few seconds left on the timer, Scottlynn picked up the stick and stared at the pregnancy test in her hand, waiting for the results that should show up any second. She smiles upon seeing the two pink lines.

"I did it. I'm having a baby." Scottlynn whispered happily
