"Ugh! Why? Why Can't I do It!" Natsu Said as he continued to punch trees in the Forest to vent out his frustration. After six hours of punching the trees in the forest he finally stops tired.

"Ugh I should probably go to the river so I can do some thinking" Natsu thinks to himself as he walks towards the river

Natsu sits down at the riverbank thinking with his arms crossed and his face buried in them with tears runny down his cheeks. "Natsuuu! There you are! I've been looking for you for a while" Said the blue cat Happy slightly worried about his friend knowing what was bothering him.

"Oh hi happy" Said a very said looking Natsu while wiping the tears from his face with the back of his arm. "Why were you looking for me? I thought I told you I wanted to be alone today." Natsu finishes with a sigh.

"I know you said that Natsu, but every one at the guild is worried about you. You haven't been acting the same since the Battle of Fairy Tail." Said Happy with worry escaping his voice.

"I know Happy I just have been thinking about something lately." He finishes with a forced smile trying to give his friend some comfort.

"OK I'll leave you alone for now. I'll be back later." Said a sad happy slowly flying away heading back to the guild. Knowing that he needs to figure out how to get Natsu out of his sadness.

As Happy was no longer in Natsu's view he slumped back into his earlier position with his face in his arms. "Dammit, I'm supposed to be strong why ain't I any more?" Said a sad Natsu with tears starting to form again. "Dammit Luce what are you doing to me? I want to be strong for you but when I'm around you I can't ." He finishes as he punches the rock he's currently sitting on.

As happy got into the guild he flew to the bar still looking sad As he plopped down an the bar table he noticed that Grey was looking at him "Hey Happy did you see flame brain?" Asked Grey sitting at the bar of the Fairy Tail Guild with only his boxers on Which Happy just shruggs off knowing that it's a common occurrence with him.

"Aye, but he doesn't want to come here today" said happy looking like he was going to cry.

"Why not? He hasn't been in here for a week. Because of that Erza had to go on a mission with Lucy so she can pay her rent." Grey said with a face of worry not only for Natsu but also because Happy is never really this sad.

"He's scared about doing something and just doesn't want to come here right now." Happy said with his face looking down.

"Wait, What do you mean he's scared he's never scared of anything!" yelled Grey earning the attention of everyone in the guild. As Grey noticed everyone was staring he yelled at them to ignore him in which they obliged not wanting to get hurt before their wounds had fully healed.

"Wow Grey you sure are hyper today huh?" Said the white Haired Bar Maid Mirajane with a smile on her face

"I'm not hyper it's just that it's boring here without Natsu here."

"That's true but I have a feeling he'll be here within a couple days."

"Oh why do you think that Mira?"

"I don't know I just have that feeling. Oh by the way Happy did you do what I told you to?"

" Aye Sir. I recorded him sleeping and have the recording Lacrima in my bag want me to get it out Mira?" Asked Happy starting to stand up with a grin on his face which made Grey feel relieved but curious of what they had recorded and for what reason.

"Sure happy but we should go downstairs to look at it so no one here see it" Mira said pointing to the stairs. "Grey you stay here OK?" Mira says staring at Grey with such intensity he was scared.

"Yep I ain't moving." he finishes with his hand on his forehead remembering the last time he stepped outta line earning him a concussion from the take over mage.

"Good. Coming happy?"

"Aye Sir!" said happy while flying behind Mira with a recording lacrima in his hand.

Grey sat there with a look of curiosity on his face. "Hmm I think I should sneak down there and see whats going on. I'm super curious now." And with that he stood up and slowly started going down the stairs to see why they were being so secretive. "Hey Cana do you mind working the bar for a bit? Mira left."

"Fine I will Grey." Said the slightly drunk wizard as she finished drinking from her barrel and sitting it down as Grey continued going down the stairs quietly not wanting to get into trouble.

As Grey got to the basement he saw something he thought he'd never see. The recording was of Natsu sleeping while Saying Lucy's Name over and over. After a while it showed Natsu bolting upright and yelling he name scared.

"Hey Natsu You OK?" Asked the blue cat in the recording Lacrima

"I'm fine just a bad dream" The pinkette said with a solemn face as he headed for the door.

"Wait Natsu shouldn't you go back to sleep?"

"No I'm too frustrated with myself right now. I don't know why I'm so scared to ask out Lucy. I think if I get some fresh air it might clear my mind, and Happy could you please not see me for today I want to be alone and think about some things."

"Aye sir." Said a very worried looking Happy

Back in reality as soon as Grey finished watching at the recording he started to head back to the main area of the guild to leave and see Natsu but was stopped. "Hey Grey why do you look so serious for and where are you going?" Asked Cana as he made it halfway through the guild

"Going to see Natsu now that I know whats wrong with him. I'm going to see if I can snap him outta this" Said Grey with a worried face as he stopped to answer the drunk.

"Wow Grey you must be really worried if you called him by his actual name." Cana said in shock

"That and its no fun in the guild without him to beat around."

"Can you at least tell us why Natsu's been so weird lately before you go?" Cana asks in an irritated voice hoping to find out why Natsu has been acting weird.

"Sure. Apparently he's frustrated because he scared to ask out Lucy." After a few minutes of the guild processing this The guild started laughing.

"Are you serious!?" Screamed the rest of the guild as Grey ran off noticing that Mira had run back into the main hall after hearing the noise with Happy floating behind her.

"Whats with all the ruckus?" Asked Mira as she came from behind the bar.

"I just can't believe the reason why Natsu has been acting so weird." Macao stated from one of the tables

"I thought I told Grey to stay up here!" Mira yelled with anger slipping through her words and glaring at the doors that had just shut.

"Ugh where could that idiot be?" Grey thought to himself as he walked through the forest as he could feel a cold wind blowing. He looked up to see the tops of the trees. "Huh why is there some trees missing? Let me guess Natsu vented his frustration by busting down some trees" He thought to himself while rubbing the apex of his nose. As he got to the clearing he noticed a trail of burnt grass heading in the direction of the river. "hmm Natsu must have had fire around him while he was frustrated and didn't realize it as he was walking away from here."

As he walked along the path of burnt grass he could faintly hear crying and knew that he was heading in the right direction and decided to stealthily make his way to Natsu who hopefully wouldn't hear him coming. As he got to the river he looked around a tree facing the river to see Natsu with his hands in his arms which were crossed and his knees pulled to his chest. "Dammit, Dammit Dammit! Why am I so week around her and only her? I want to protect her but how can I when I can't even ask her out?" Asked Natsu to himself with sadness coming out of his voice. Grey looked as his friend thinking about what to do. He decided he should try and help his friend. That's why he came her after all.

Grey stated walking towards his friend and sat down next to him. "Natsu What are you doing here all alone? This isn't like you at all." Grey asked the fire dragon slayer wanting to help Natsu get out of this.

"Oh hey Grey what are you doing here?' asked Natsu in a sad voice while wiping the tears from his eyes with the back of his arm.

"What I can't try and help one of my friends when there's something bothering them?" Grey asked as he looked at his friends flush face which he guessed was caused by crying.

"It's just you've never been worried about me before, plus you're sitting next to me in you're boxers."

"Huh? When did that happen?" Grey asked not realizing that his clothes had come off yet today. "Anyway that's not why I'm here. I want to help you and you should know that Lucy isn't in Magnolia right now. She's on a mission with Erza so she can pay her rent." He explained while looking at his friend who still had a sad look on his face.

"Damn it I should be the one on the mission with Lucy instead of that sadistic redhead. I'm Lucy's partner after all. But no I'm here moping because I'm a damn idiot" he said starting to stand up with his face looking down.

"You ain't an idiot Natsu I also know why you haven't been to the guild and have been acting weird." Grey said looking away hoping to not anger Natsu.

"How the hell would you know Ice Prick!" Natsu yelled into his friends face scaring some birds who flew away.

"I saw a recording of what happened between you and Happy last night that happy and Mira were looking at. It also showed you sleeping saying Lucy's name over and over." Grey said with annoyance in his face. "No wonder you don't don't have a girlfriend you're to scared to ask out your own damn partner!" He yelled pushing Natsu to the ground in annoyance.

"Oh so that's what that lacrima was." Natsu said standing up knowing he really shouldn't of yelled at his friend who was just trying to help.

"yeah why don't you ask her out already everyone in the guild thinks that she likes you so why won't you?"

"I don't know I just get too scared to when I see her." he says as he looks down not wanting to show the frustration in his face

"Hey I have an idea wanna hear it?"

"Sure as long as it doesn't involve Mira helping in some way."

"It's not. What about you talking to her alone right her once she gets back from her mission? I'll also try to make it so that none of the guild comes here. How about it?"

"Sure. Do you know when she's supposed to get back?"

"Yeah I think her and Erza are supposed to be back tomorrow."

"Thanks Grey I'll make it up to you sometime."

"No problem Natsu. I'll talk to you tomorrow OK?"

"OK See ya." Natsu said with a smile on his face again after not having one for about a month. Which Grey noticed as he walked back to the guild knowing he was going to possible get hurt by Mira.

As Grey walked into the guild all of his guild mates' eyes were on him as he walked to the bar with Mira glaring daggers at him realizing that he was right in knowing that the guild had told the white haired takeover mage what he told them all. "Grey I thought I told you not to follow us why. Why didn't you listen?"

"Well it's good that I did because I got Natsu in a happy mood for once." Grey said not looking at Mira.

Mira and Happy looked at each other with inquisitive looks. "What do you mean by that?" They both asked in unison.

"Well lets just say that I have a plan for him to ask Lucy out."

"So what is the plan?" Mira asked with a questionable look.

"You'll see tomorrow Mira." Grey said with a muffled laugh.
