I Will Not Bow Down

Sixty: Summer Vacation VI

St. Bart's Morgue

"You took your time Lestrade," Sherlock told him.

"Well I was going to call you, but you were busy with your current competition," Greg said teasing Sherlock. Lucas had become a fixture on 221B surprising all of them, he had been helping Mycroft and Mr. Holmes in the Ministry of Magic on getting some things done behind the scenes. Weirdly enough Lucas had also become a close friend to Sherlock and that was the weirdest of them all.

"Lucas is not competition," Sherlock said.

"I'm teasing you, Sherlock, I doubt Joan has any other eyes except for you," Greg told him. Sherlock looked to the corpse but knew that Greg was not kidding as Sherlock looked the same way.

"If you are done distracting me, we can get back to the body,"

"Molly said she couldn't find any wounds, I was going to put it as natural causes, but this doesn't look like it,"

"It's not, but this case will go to Mycroft," Sherlock told him with annoyance.

"What? Is he a government official I haven't seen him," Greg said as he had been taken many a time to balls and parties with his husband? It also annoyed him a bit when his cases had to go to his husband.

"No, but he doesn't belong here," Sherlock said, and it took a few moments before Greg understood it.

"Oh, do you think it was the one that escaped?" Greg asked.

"Last we checked, she had gone somewhere else," Sherlock told him not entirely happy that Bellatrix had gone into hiding so easily. He knew that she had been helped by some of the Death Eaters that were hiding,

"I guess this will be better than having Molly mind-wiped," Greg said unhappily.

"Yes," Sherlock told him.

221 B

Harry climbed up the stairs toward home, he hadn't seen Mrs. Hudson at all. He pulled up his case with him. As he opened the door, he saw a man standing there.

"Who are you?" Harry asked.

"You are Joan's oldest son," the man said. Harry looked at him and could tell that he was an Agent.

"Lucas, you are here early?" Joan said. Harry turned to his mother and knew that he was familiar as he had seen him before. In some of the picture's his Mom and Grandma Sophie had in their albums and memory boxes.

"Yes, your husband sent me here early," Lucas told her.

"Okay, Harry this is Lucas Durin, he is an Agent like your Uncle James," Joan told him.

"Nice to meet you?" Harry said he knew there was a bigger story and would be told if it was important.

"Yes, you as well," Lucas told him. He knew that Harry had been adopted by Sherlock and Joan, but he seemed to have inherited both of his parent's penetrating stare.

"I will be putting my stuff away Mum,"

"Okay, come down to eat,"

"I will Detective's honor," Harry told her.

"You, young man is still working on that particular area," Joan said laughing when Harry walked in. Joan turned to Lucas.

"You have raised him right," Lucas said.

"We have hope so," Joan told him. "Now do you have more news,"

"Well we are looking into more other issues," Lucas told her.

"Do you have news about Bellatrix?"

"No, it actually scarier as she went really underground, but Malfoy and some of the other pureblood had some withdraws we, of course, know that it was to help her but…"

"They are not being touched?" Joan said.

"Exactly, I heard your brother in law was working on that," Lucas said he hated the fact that they couldn't be touched. His family had thrived in the darkness, but he had been able to get out.

"Everyone is working on it, we don't want things to get worst," Joan told him. She didn't even want to know, what Mycroft was doing but she had a feeling that he was getting power from under the Ministry and they weren't even paying attention.

A Few Days Later

Harry had finished off his homework, it had taken him a few days but like every year he was to finish this off until he was able to do any other thing.

"Harry, are you almost done?" Nicholas asked.

"Yes, is Dad ready?"

"He is being impatient," Nicholas admit it, they were about to have their guy day which just going over cold cases and maybe going to the morgue without their Mum knowing.

"Okay, just finishing the last of it," Harry said. '

"Finally!" Nicholas said and they both climbed down to the lab in 221 B.

"You both are late," Sherlock told them.

"Just finishing my homework," Harry told him.

"Now, tell me the cause of death," Sherlock said showing both of his sons the wall with the pictures.

Grimmauld Place

Sirius was looking over Draco's homework, which was weird, but he instilled the same rule that Joan had for Harry.

"I don't understand the reason to finish my homework early?" Draco genuinely asked.

"As much as I know your smart kid, it's a rule I'm used to," Sirius admitted.

"Your parents?" Draco asked and tried not to tense because his parents didn't speak about their ancestors unless it was important.

"No actually, I would wait till almost the last minute," Sirius told him. "Honestly, it's a rule I am used to and it's effective,"

"Holmes," Draco said catching up quickly.

"Got it in one, Joan was very strict since Harry still has to do muggle studies," Sirius told him.

"Muggle Studies, but he already does those?" Draco said.

"Oh, I should correct that many muggle parents do extra teaching on their kids in case they don't want to stay in the Wizarding World, Joan's parent did this and Harry and Hermione are doing the same,"

"What your saying is that Holmes and Granger are both doing extra work aside from Hogwarts?" Draco said and many things were coming to his mind because he had not been given the option of an out to explore the muggle world as he was not with Sirius and Remus.

"Yes, Meloni is doing the same and I'm guessing the twins will also be doing it, but the rule is to finish soon so that they can enjoy their summer without any worry," Sirius said, not really registering that he was blowing Draco's mind. Draco bit his lip and he knew that he was told to ask for anything he wanted and if they could, they would give it to him.

"I want them," Draco said, and Sirius looked at him.

"You want what exactly?" he asked confused.

"If they can do the studies, I want them as well if it can be arranged," Draco said suddenly a bit shy and worried he would be screamed at and Sirius raised an eyebrow surprised about his request but he was not going to deny him.

"Very well, I will have Remus looked into it and we will get you started," Sirius said. "I will also be getting some of the books for you to study as you will be tested so we can place you properly,"

Ministry of Magic

Hagrid came out of the courtroom and he was smiling, he looked to see Mr. Holmes standing there.

'I do not know how to thank you," he told Sigmund.

"You don't have to thank me, Hagrid, it is the least we could do, and it is the right thing to do as well," Sigmund told him. They had been fighting in the shadows basically to clean Hagrid's name.

"I never thought," Hagrid said having tears in his eyes.

"Well now you get to learn, and I know that you are helping Professor Pendragon in her classes this way you can study and maybe get all your calcifications," Sigmund said.

"Really?" Hagrid asked.

"Of course, we want you to be able to have a great life and we will help you, I am pretty sure that Dumbledore would help with your studies," Sigmund said with a smiled but at the same time know that he might not actually help as Hagrid was not really in his plans. As Hagrid left, Sigmund stood there when his son arrived.

"What is on your mind, Mickey?"

"The plans are coming together, but I feel that they just sent us a curveball," Mycroft told him as he had just heard the news.

"What do you mean?" Sigmund asked.

"I was just sent papers about the World Cup," Mycroft said as he knew that things were to come.
