Chapter 12: That Wasn't In The Script.

AN: Hey everyone. I hope you'll like this chapter, even though it's just a transition chapter, what will come next will be more 'original' than this one.

About OCs, I'm sure many people don't like them for many good reasons, and I'm the kind to put a lot of OCs in my previous stories, but this one Jan S. Pastan is to be the only one.

to Haintrex : No, Blackbeard recruited Shiliew and the 4 most dangerous prisonners of Impel down but he already had Augur, Burgess, Lafitte and Doc Q when he attacked Drum (that was mentionned in the manga)

And Gin is in the center place of the overall story, yup.

Johnny blinked, not sure of what the kid with the straw hat said.

"You… come from the future?"

"Yep." Luffy replied simply.

Johnny scratched his head. "If you come from the future, and you know us, it means … We became super famous?!"

Luffy, Nami and Usopp tilted their head. "No."

Suddenly he looked depressed. The loss of adrenaline caused by a long moment of excitation made him more cautious of Johnny's surrounding, and he finally admired the prominent chest of the orange haired female pirate.

He blushed. "Wow, sis, you're really sexy…" He couldn't finish his sentence as he was knocked out by a blue stick. He lied next to his partner Yosaku as they navigated to their next location.

Johnny and Yosaku woke up a few hours later.

"I won!" Luffy shouted, his hands full of cards.

Usopp sweat-dropped. "It's not like that. You have to throw away all your cards to win."

"Why?" He whined. "I want to have all the cards! And all the meats!"

Nami shrugged, dropping her last card on the deck. "I won, sorry Luffy, but you owe me 500.000 Berry now."

"Not a chance!" He yelled. "And I'm the one who won."

Johnny and Yosaku approached the trio. "Hey, are you rookies or what?!" Yosaku yelled.

Nami raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

Johnny frwned. "Zoro is taking a nap, and you guys are playing cards. No one is looking after the ship."

Then, Nami burst out laughing.

"You see that?" She sorted a compass. "And that?" She sorted a map of East Blue.

They scratched their head. "It's a map and a compass."

"Exactly." Nami nodded. "But look at the compass."

They sat down and looked at the compass.

"It's a compass, and he's showing we're heading north."

"Yap." Nami nodded again. "And the needle is not moving."

Luffy tilted his head. "She's back to the annoying stuff."

Usopp nodded. "Yeah, let's play without her."

"You see?" Nami continued, ignoring her two crew-mates. "Even if we don't do anything, we won't change our gap. Here I can detect a storm hours before it appears. This is really, really relaxing to navigate in a sea where common sense is legion."

They blinked. "Wow, where do you come from to be so confident about navigation?"

"I told you!" Luffy shouted. "We come from the future!"

The duo sat down. "Really?" Johnny asked skeptically. "So you've been to the famous Grand Line?"

"Yup!" The trio replied.

"So cool!" Yosaku exclaimed. "Tell us more about your adventures!"

Luffy raised his hands in the air. "Yosh!"

Two days later, the crew arrived to the floating restaurant Baratie.

Luffy sniffed happily. "Yay, I can smell Sanji's cooking from here!"

Nami grinned. "It's good to see this restaurant again."

"I can't wait to see your cook Sanji !" Yosaku xclaimed.

"Yeah, you told us so many good things about his food." Johnny added, turning to Luffy.

Suddenly a Marine ship approached the Merry.

A pink-haired Marine appeared. He was dressed as a gentleman, his iron American fist aside.

(Can we even talk about American fist in a place where there is no America?)

"This is the first time I see this flag." Lieutenant Fullbody said, clenching his fist. "But I seem to recognize the face of the captain."

He spoke louder. "Hey, you! The straw-hat guy! You're wanted for 12 millions aren't you?"

Luffy took a serious tone. "Yes. I'm Monkey D. Luffy, we raised our flag two days ago!"

"And I'm Usopp." Usopp couldn't help but add that.

"Two days?" Johnny snorted. "Well they really were rookies after all."

"Ah, ah, good one!" Yosaku laughed.

"By the way." Fullbody added, looking at the bounty hunters. "Your face remind me of something. I believe you're small time bounty hunters, Yosaku and Johnny, isn't it?"

They felt quite insulted by the Marine.

"D'you hear that, Yosaku? He's taunting us." Johnny said.

"Yeah, that's ridiculous. We're top notch bounty hunters, and it's time for him to regret what he said."

They drew their swords. "Prepare for trouble!"

They jumped. "And make it doub…"

They didn't finish their speech as Fullbody knocked them out in one punch.

"Vat wav clove."

Luffy and Zoro observed them, lying on the deck and pretty beaten up.

"You guys need some training." Zoro said.

"But, he's super strong." Yosaku whined.

"Yeah, it was super close, I swear." Johnny added.

"Well, not really." Luffy sweat-dropped.

A pretty woman got out of the cabin. "Darling, stop beating up weaklings and let's get going."

"You're lucky I'm on vacation." Fullbody said, as if he was a threat to any pirate with a 12 million bounty, but his ego wouldn't tolerate that, after all he was from the HQ. "But consider your lives forfeit the next time you run into me."

Then he lowered his thumb and ordered to sink the pirate ship.

A Marine fired the cannon.

Zoro stood ready. "Leave it to me!" He jumped, drew his Wado Ichimonji and slashed the cannonball in two, to the astonished looks of the bounty hunter duo and to Fullbody.

"Oi!" He shouted to Fullbody in a threatening manner. "How will you go back to your base if your ship is cut in half?"

Fullbody gulped.

"Nice one, bro!" Yosaku exclaimed.

Zoro smirked. "I'll guard the ship, and I'll watch out these guys."

"Okay Zoro!" Luffy grinned. "We're going to the restaurant!"

Johnny and Yosaku were hesitant at first, but then they made their choice.

"Big bro, help us becoming stronger!" They said together.

"We saw you cutting the cannon ball and we found that supercool." Johnny said. "We heard you about cutting ships, iron and baboons."

"And when we've been beaten up by Fullbody we knew that we need to be stronger." Yosaku added.

"So please, train with us!" They both added in unison.

Zoro sighed. "But don't make me waste my time."

"Yay!"

"Shut up and concentrate!" He yelled. "Try to slash me."

The two disciples of Zoro rushed on him once, twice, thrice, but he dodged them all. After all, there was a huge, huge gap between them and him.

Despite his impatience in going back to the crew, Sanji liked to cook again in the Baratie. It was mostly because he could flirt with pretty women, but also because he could see his adoptive father again. Zeff was more of a father than his own would ever be, and Sanji felt like being home again, not like he wouldn't happily leave the Baratie to go back with his friends, and especially Nami-swaaaan and Robin-chwaaaan.

"Look, the one sitting over there is Lieutenant Fullbody." One of the clients said, which raised Sanji's attention.

He was serving some wine to a pink haired guy and a beautiful woman, and this scene reminded the blonde haires-cook of something really important.

'Lieutenant Full body eh?' Sanji wondered in his thoughts. 'It was at this moment the crew came in the restaurant, and Gin, but maybe they took longer than expected…'

"Hmmm! This delicate scent! It must be from Micquerot of the northern lands!" Fullbody said, full of himself.

"And this slight sourness mixed with a thick, dry taste… This wine must be … Itelzbulgerstein!" The lieutenant turned to Sanji. "Am I wrong, waiter?"

Sanji brought them the soups while smoking a cigarette. "You've got it alright, sir, except that I'm the assistant head chief. The waiters have ran away yesterday."

Sanji raised one of his curly eyebrows. 'I don't remember that it went this way.'

"Here's your soup, sir." Sanji said. "Please enjoy it while it's hot."

"Well, you're very knowledgeable, about wine I mean." The woman said with interest.

"About wine and many other fields, my dear." Fullbody replied.

They clinked glasses. "For my future promotion!" The lieutenant said joyfully. "It's not everyday we can celebrate the capture of a big shark."

That gained Sanji's interest. 'A big shark?' He thought. 'Did they capture Don Krieg?'

His thoughts were snapped as the front door opened, revealing three people that Sanji knew too well. Luffy, Usopp, and …

"Nami-swaaaan!" He exclaimed in joy, rushing to the entrance.

"Sanji!"

"Have a seat, I'll serve you anything you want!" He said cheerfully.

"Meat!" Luffy cheered. "Meat! Meat!"

Sanji chuckled. "Wait a minute, where is Zoro? Is he lost?"

"He's guarding the ship with Johnny and Yosaku." Usopp explained

"Ah, you also found these too." Sanji said. "And hawkeyes is probably en route." He gritted his teeth. "They better not ravage this restaurant!"

Then he ran to the kitchen and prepared them food.

The clients gulped at the sight of Luffy.

"It is a pirate, isn't it?"

"Yes, I saw his face on a wanted poster, his bounty is up to 12 Million Berry."

"This restaurant is known for accepting pirates, but 12 millions…"

"Hopefully we have a lieutenant from the Marine Headquarters, he'll do something."

"I heard he captured a pirate worth over more than thirty millions, so it's small fry for him."

Fullbody gritted his teeth in frustration. First, he was off duty and second, the swordsman had freaked him out. If this Luffy was as strong as him then …

"It would be impolite to leave you alone, my dear." He said to the lady that accompanied him.

She chuckled, recognizing some fear in the lieutenant's tone. "Oh, but I'd understand fully if you dealt with these pirates, after all, duty comes first."

He gulped, but stood up anyway.

"Alright, justice don't make pause after all." He said proudly while approaching the pirates. "I am a soldier of the Marine Headquarters. For the civilians, I am the lighthouse that led them to a path of tranquility. If I must fall, then this world would fall in the depth of chaos. So I must ask you to leave this place at once, pirates, or I will use force."

As a reply, Luffy cleaned his nostril with his finger.

AN: In French, Marine and nostril differ with only one letter (Narine)

"I'm hungry, don't wanna!" He shouted childishly.

Fullbody was angered by this insult and raised his fist to hit Luffy. But then…

Sanji arrived at max speed and kicked Fullbody in the chin.

"Don't you dare start any trouble in the old geezer's restaurant!" He yelled.

The lieutenant fell, his face covered in blood.

'What was that?' He thought in panick. 'I didn't even see him coming.'

"Are you nuts?!" He yelled. "Do you know who am I, shitty waiter? I'm Lieutenant Fullbody of the Marine Head…"

He was stopped by a kick in the face.

"Shut up!" Sanji yelled. Then he took back the plates he had posed and served his friends, Nami at first of course.

"Don't worry it's free for you, Nami-swan." He said gleefully.

"Oh, thanks Sanji." She replied with a grin.

"But not for you two." Sanji said to the boys while serving them.

Suddenly a old cook with a long moustache and a wooden leg arrived from the kitchen. "What's all of this racket?" He said with an abrupt tone. "Sanji, are you running wild in my restaurant again?"

Sanji light up his cigarette calmly. "It's the other way around, geezer, I'm dealing with violent customers."

The chef stared at the marine on the floor. "Really? Well at least nothing is broken, it's a premiere."

Then he stared at the owner of a straw-hat who Sanji just served a generous plate of meat.

'So it is him the old fool was talking about…' He thought, narrowing his eyes. 'Straw Hat Luffy… Interesting.'

"Hey you!" Zeff turned to Luffy. "Aren't you…"

He was interrupted by a Marine soldier who opened the doors in panic.

"Lieutenant Fullbody!" He screamed. "It's an emergency."

The lieutenant stood up with difficulty, forgetting the crazy cook for a moment.

"What's going on?" Just like him, the soldier was bleeding. It announced nothing good.

"Forgive me sir, but, he's escaped from the ship's prison!"

Fullbody widened his eyes. "That's impossible!" He snarled. "He shouldn't have the strength to move! We captured him a week ago, and he hasn't had a single scrap of food since then!"

'It's got to be Gin.' Sanji thought. 'Or Don Krieg.'

"Please forg…" The Marine didn't finish his sentence as he was executed from behind.

Sanji widened his eyes. In front of the entrance stood someone that he didn't saw two years ago, but two weeks ago…

"One customer, coming this way." Patty said nonchalantly.

"He better not start any trouble in my restaurant." Zeff mumbled.

Sanji smoked his cigarette calmly and went to see the new customer.

The man sat down at a table. He looked like someone hungry, but not quite hungry as Gin was.

'Well.' Sanji thought. 'That wasn't in the script.'

"What are you doing here, Capone Gang Bege?"

AN: Ah, the famous script...
