Gajeel looked down at the bluenette that had wormed her way into his cold, iron heart, and turned it a heart that could love only her. She was deep in thought, staring at a shelf of books in the guild library. He smiled, amused with her stance, the same stance she takes when she irritated with him. He leaned forward and wrapped his arms around her waist and whispered in her ear, "Come on shrimp, I really want to eat, and if you don't come, I'll be all alone."
"Gajeel, I really need to finish cataloging these books," Levy responded with a slight smirk, she really liked his arms around her, it's where she felt safe, and secure.
He kissed her ear, once, twice, three times, and she started to giggle. He slowly made his way down to her cheek, and she stopped giggling. She turned to face him. "I wouldn't have done that if I were you."
She took his face in her hands, and she kissed him lightly on the lips, as if she was teasing him. He pulled away, and his eyes darted around, looking for any other souls scattered in the library. "Shrimp, you have to be careful, people could find us. Do you want that?"
Levy puffed her cheeks. "Honestly," she replied, "I wouldn't mind, I just don't want to lose my team."
Gajeel suddenly picked her up, and put her on his shoulders. "Alright shrimp, I really want some food, and you're taking too long, so let's go."
Levy started to laugh, enjoying the ride on Gajeel's shoulders. She opened up her book and started to read.
When they reached Gajeel's house, Levy didn't notice, she was too deeply engrossed in her book. So it came as a shock to her when Gajeel just picked her off of his shoulders and set her on the ground. She carefully checked her surroundings, and noticed they were at Gajeel's house. "I thought we were going to get food."
"Well, shrimp, I thought that I would cook tonight."
Levy slowly looked around the house, surprised that it looked nothing like a bachelor pad. The house was well furnished, and neatly organized. "Make yourself comfortable," Gajeel said, breaking her train of thought. "I'm just going to whip up something for us to eat, and then we can head back over to the guild library."
Levy settled in the big armchair in front of the fireplace.
Soon after, the scent of the ramen began to permeate the air, and it broke the spell that her book had on her. She followed her nose to the dining room, and on the table were two bowls of veggie ramen. She blushed. "Hey shrimp, I know that you're a vegetarian, so I thought I could go without meat for a little bit."
After the meal was done, Gajeel hoisted her back onto his shoulders and she dove right back into her book. They made their way back to the library, and each of them went back to what they were both doing. However, this time, Gajeel didn't say anything. He just watched as his little shrimp studied her books as of her life depended on it.
