Hyde POV

Jeremy. Just the mention of his name makes my blood boil and I just wanna….. I've got to calm down. I haven't seen him since that night but I'm still worried that he might come back. If he does come back and he touches Jekyll again I'm going to strangle him and… I should stop thinking about him. Jekyll mentioned him earlier…

"What about Jeremy?"

"What about him."

"He's the only other person we've," he paused looking for the right word, "encountered before we separated."

"You want him to testify for us?"

"Yes, why not?" He quirked an eyebrow.

"Why not, he almost raped you!"

"We'll have to let bygones be bygones for now." He said calmly.

"No."

"We need witnesses." He sighed. I'll make a deal with you, if we win then I'll let you punch him once in the face."

"Deal."

So now where here in front of Jeremy's huge mansion.

"Let me do the talking," Henry says and knocks in the door twice.

Jeremy opened the door. I could see a clear bruise around his neck of where I had choked him. "Yes?"

"Hello, Jeremy. I believe we met recently at a bar. I'm Henry Jekyll and this is Edward Hyde."

Realization dawned on him. "Oh, yes. I remember you. Then something tried to choke the life out of me."

"That was me." I glared at him and clenching my fists to keep myself from doing any more harm to him.

Jeremy was confused, "But I saw nothing there."

Jekyll was quick to pass it off. "It's something that we can discuss later. We need you to testify at a trial being held next week for the murder of Sir Danvers Carew."

"That old man from the parliament that was talked about in the papers a couple years back?"

"Yes."

"Alright, I'm not sure how much I can help, but I'll try."

Jekyll held out Utterson's business card. "This is our lawyer. Meet with him to discuss the case."

Jeremy took the card, Jekyll said goodbye and we left for Timmy's house.

We reached a shabby looking apartment building. Jekyll knocked on the door.

A tired woman in her thirties with messy long blond hair tied into a ponytail answered. "Hello sir."

"I'm looking for Timmy Simmons. Is he here?"

She nodded. "He's playing with his toys." She yelled, "Timmy, some man wants to see you!"

"Yes, mum," Timmy called back and soon he came to the front door carrying Mr. Bear in one arm. Henry went on one knee. As soon as Timmy saw Henry he exclaimed, "Sir, you came back!" Timmy rushed to him and they hugged.

I bent down and reached over Jekyll's shoulder to ruffle his hair. "Hey kid, it's nice to see you again."

Jekyll got up and stepped to the side. "Timmy, this is Edward Hyde.

He looked up at me. "Hello, sir."

"You're free to call us by our first names. There's no need to be so formal." I said.

"Alright, Hyde sir."

I laughed. "Close enough."

I moved back so Jekyll could keel in front of Timmy. He placed his hands on his shoulders gently. He sighed and then said, 'Timmy, we need you to do something for us. We did a bad thing a while ago and we need you to talk in front of a lot of people. Can you do that for us?"

Timmy was confused. "What am I supposed to talk about?"

"The first time you met us a week ago."

"What if I don't know what to say?"

"Utterson, who's a good friend of mine, will help you with what to say." He stood up. "Ms. Simmons, my friend is a lawyer. Please contact him." He held out Uttersons business card to her and she took it.

That night, I wake up suddenly. I don't know why I suddenly feel uneasy until I hear creaks on the floor. Someone's here. "Henry." I shake him awake gently.

He wakes up and turns toward me. He yawns. "What?"

"Someone's in the house."

He rubs his eyes and get's up slowly. I follow him. We both creep to the door. I hand him a heavy book. I have a candlestick. He opens the door. We both listen. There are creaks downstairs. We go downstairs quietly. We see three men looking around the house with flashlights and lanterns. "On the count of three, we'll both jump on one of them," I whispered.

Jekyll nodded. He made his way behind one of them.

"One, Two, Three." I launched myself on the back of one of them. My weight forced him to the ground. I quickly pinned his wrists to the ground on either side of him.

My left knee went to his back to hold him in place. He yelled when he hit the ground. The third one quickly escaped through the shattered window they came in from.

I looked to my left to see how Jekyll was doing. He had a more difficult time pinning the man to the ground because he kept struggling. After a few minutes, he stopped and Jekyll could effectively pin his wrists to the ground and put his knee on the small of his back.

"Who sent you?" Henry demanded to the man below him.

"Dr. Lanyon," the man replied, clearly in pain.

"Go back and tell Dr. Lanyon that he can't scare us, we're ready for the case against us. If need be, I will make sure a police presence is outside our house until this case against us is over."

We let them go and gave them back there flashlight and lantern. Then Jekyll glared at them both as he said goodnight and slammed the door.

We went back to bed. "They'll think twice before messing with us again, huh?"

"Uh Huh. Go to sleep Edward. "

"I don't want you to be upset." I touched his shoulder.

He turned toward me. "Why does Lanyon have to drag both our names through the mud? What reason does he have to bring the murder up now?"

"I don't know but we'll get through it together." I rubbed his shoulder. "Are you still angry at me for killing Sir Danvers?"

He looked confused. "No. You've changed. Get some sleep and don't think about it anymore."

We went to sleep.
