Rivalry

Summary: Natsu and Gray take rivalry to a whole new level.
Rivalry (Rated T)
During her favorite time of the day, her guild mates got along. But maybe that wasn't actually her favorite time of day, seeing as how it didn't really exist. It was her "perfect world's" favorite time of the day.
And this was definitely not it.
"They're so idiotic," said Lucy as she watched Gray and Natsu—yet again—arguing over something stupid.
"Tell me about it," agreed Erza. "This foolish rivalry must be stopped!"
"They devote more time to their stupid rivalry than they do to our missions!"
The two girls sighed as they continued watching their friends. When it looked like they were going to come to blows, they finally decided it was time to step in.
"Gray, don't do it," Lucy warned as she stepped between the two feuding teens.
"He started it," the ice mage snapped.
"Me? I started nothing!" shot back Natsu.
"And I cured cancer."
"I've come across rotting bodies that are less offensive than you are."
"And that's something to be proud of?"
"…"
"Why don't you go to the library and brush up on your ignorance before you make an even bigger fool out of yourself?"
"…you really are a bastard," ground out Natsu.
"At least my face doesn't look like my neck threw up."
"Enough, already!" Erza cut in before all hell broke loose. "Why can't you two just create a truce like normal people?"
"Because they're not normal," Lucy muttered, which only earned her an elbow to the ribs. "Oof. Sorry."
"A…truce?" Natsu echoed.
"Yes. You know what it is, right?"
"Perhaps he really does need to go to the library," Gray quipped.
"You're not off the hook either, prissy pants," said Natsu.
"You can't talk to me that way!"
"This would be a great time for you to become a missing person," stated Erza with a furious glare that Gray withered under.
"…a truce, you said?" started the ice mage.
"That's better."
"A truce would be perfect!" continued Lucy, her eyes widening with hope. "You guys should make a truce!"
Gray and Natsu stared at each other. A truce? That would undoubtedly put an end to their rivalry, wouldn't it?
"And how would we go about making this truce?" inquired Natsu.
"Uh…how about you get to know each other better by asking and answering some questions," suggested Lucy with a hesitant smile.
Questions? This was going to be good.
"Okay," began Natsu as he cleared his throat. "Gray, what would you say is the biggest problem in your life?"
"Just look in a mirror."
"Gray!" snapped Erza. "Both of you have to be civil."
"How about we have Gray ask a question," cut in Lucy.
"Fine," ground out the ice mage. "Natsu, do you like anything about me?"
"Yes."
"What?"
"Your ability to disappear."
Gray frowned as his eyes narrowed. "Idiot flamebrain."
"That's it! I'm going to kill you!" roared natsu as he lunged at the ice mage and tackled him to the ground. But Gray wasn't going down without a fight.
"Well, that failed," sighed Lucy.
"Yes. But it was worth a shot," said Erza. "Let's break them up before they spill blood…again."
"Rivalries…"
