As hard as Botan tried to remain quiet, as hard as she tried to fight off Yusuke's questions and escape his room, the Mazoku fought her back twice as hard. And in the end, he won out.

Botan sunk to her knees, head bowed as she gave in to the towering man standing over her. Giving a quick retelling of the start of Kagome's journey and of her companions, of their battles, before pausing at Kagome's return to the past after her forced three year long absence.

By this point, Yusuke had already figured out Kagome and Inuyasha's relationship ran far deeper then friendship. And his suspicions were confirmed once Botan spoke of their marriage.

"But that happiness didn't last long." Botan sadly trailed off as her head fell back against the edge of Yusuke's bed, gaze staring out the window and up at the blue cloudless sky.

A sinking filling settled deep within his gut. "What happened?" He questioned almost to afraid to ask but wanting to know what happened to Kagome and Inuyasha.

"Weeks into their marriage... Inuyasha began abusing her. At first it was verbal, name calling, taunts, putting her down. Then it escalated into the physical. He would beat her and... and he would force himself upon her whenever the mood struck him." The blue haired reaper sadly admitted. "It was during one of those attacks that Kagome found the will to escape him, resulting in the scar on her face. At that point in time, Hiei was still fairly young and happened to be nursing his wounds in Inuyasha's forest when Kagome stubbled upon him. To this day Koenma and I still are uncertain why Hiei helped her escape. We suspect that it may be due to the fact that she tried to protect him from Inuyasha's rampage, but who knows what goes on in that head of his. But you can imagine how the story goes after that. She managed to escape back to her own time, beaten and traumatized, and by some odd twist of fate found Hiei again, and as they say, the rest is history."

And it was like a bucket of ice cold water had been poured down on him as Yusuke sat dumbfounded in his chair.

Silence enveloped the hut as the small ground of friends process all that had been told to them. To think, their sister had gone through so much pain at the hands of their best friend/brother, and they hadn't known. Knowing that Inuyasha has not done so willingly, but had instead been controlled to commit such heinous atrocities.

But one thing stood out the most to Sango and Miroku.

Kagome would have died if not for Hiei's intervention.

Without his help, they would have lost their sister and never been the wiser to the truth.

And so, Hiei found himself immensely uncomfortable as the Monk and Slayer both turned to him, and as one, bowed low.

"We thank you for helping her when we could not." Miroke spoke, his forehead pressed firmly to his hands.

"Hn." Hiei grunted before, 'Kagome!' Hiei practically shouted in her head, begging she do something.

But his friend did nothing but stare at him with shining blue eyes filled with humor at his discomfort.

After a few more minutes went by, Kagome easily steered the conversation back on to more important matters.

"I need your help."

"Our help?" Sango asked. "With what?"

Eyes burning with determination as she stared her friends in the eyes, not a drop of hesitation in her voice.

"Freeing Inuyasha and killing that bitch."

Crimson orbs slowly slid open from within the darkness, a crazed gleam shining from within as a slightly long and pointed down darted out to lick at her crimson lips.

"Hmmmm~" she moaned as her eyes closed once more, her body practically vibrating in anticipation. "This feeling... something coming." She said as a small trunk led of laughter left her lips, slowly increasing in volume the longer she did.

She didn't know what was coming or when it would, her senses going haywire, but all she knew was that something big was going to happen soon, and when it did... she'd be there waiting for it.

"What fun!"
