Chapter 4 – A Five-Man Team – Part 1

"It's this way… No, it's definitely this way…"

Ruby only rolled her eyes as she listened to Weiss walking around behind her, the red-cloak wearing teen playing with a lone tree leaf that had fallen to the ground. This had been going on for a few minutes now as the two arrived at a small open area covered by trees after escaping from the pack of Beowulf Grimm. Due to the rushed retreat, the two had lost track of which direction they were heading and currently trying to figure out their next plan… Well, her partner was currently lost. While there wasn't much she knew about when it came to working in the wilderness, there were a few things that she had picked up from her Uncle Qrow and Naruto when she joined the two on a training exercise. It had been at her insistence, and at the time, Ruby had regretted it immensely since she had to pull her own weight as a requirement, which was easier said than done since she didn't know what the heck she was doing at first and ended up destroying a lot of supplies that she and Naruto managed to find, but it soon became easier with instructions from her fellow pupil and gave her some of the skills she would need for any future missions as a Huntress.

'It's been a while since Weiss and I had become teammates, and we've been moving all over the place. And at each other's throats almost the whole time. Which is totally the opposite of wanting to be friends… But her attitude is so annoying!' An annoyed Ruby thought to herself as she let the leaf in her hand fall to the floor, recalling the argument they had after escaping the Beowulf pack and how it ended with her slicing a tree down after her partner's hurtful comments. It was mostly quiet between them for a good half-hour before they ended up in their current situation. 'With all these tree branches in the way, I can't see where the sun is… Should we go to higher ground to get a better look? Or would that attract more monsters?'

"Alright. It's official." Weiss spoke up as she walked up to Ruby, who turned to face her with curious look, wondering what the Schnee Heiress was going to say. "We passed it."

Crossing her arms with a raised eyebrow, the younger Huntress-in-training decided to ask a question that had been annoying her for some time. "Why can't you just admit that you don't know where we are going?"

"I know exactly where we're going. We are… going…" Weiss replied with a know it all tone, which turned to slight hesitation as she saw the look on Ruby's face to continue talking. Turning her head away from Ruby, the white-haired girl took a few steps ahead of them. "To the forest temple!"

"Ugh!" Ruby grunted as she lowered her arms and started walking towards a group of trees.

"Oh, stop it! You don't know where we are either!" Weiss retorted as she watched Ruby reach behind her and pulled out her Crescent Rose before turning into its scythe mode. "And what are you doing with that?"

"First of all, I might not know where we are. But at least I don't pretend to know everything… As for this…" With several quick slashed of her weapon, Ruby cut down the bunch of trees in front of her, causing them to crash to the grassy flooring in a large pile and revealing a good view of the sky and the clouds above. "Great, now we should be able to figure out where to go."

Marching up to the slightly younger girl with a frown, Weiss grabbed Ruby by her shoulder and spun her around to face her. "What are you doing, you dolt? Making all that noise will attract more Grimm to our location!"

"Give me a break! I know what I'm doing!" Ruby retorted as she jerked her arm away from Weiss' grip before turning her scythe back to its compact form and put it away. The girl stepped onto the group of trees before slowly rotating herself while looking up at the sky with narrow eyes, before raising a hand to block the rays of light that hit her as soon as the sun came into view. A small smirk formed on Ruby's face after a minute of silence before she turned around and jumped next to Weiss, who had a hand on her hip as she watched her teammate land next to her. "A little off to the north, but if we adjust ourselves and continue heading this way, we should be able to find something."

"What are you talking about? How do you know?" A bemused Weiss questioned with a slightly surprised look on her face, before narrowing her eyes. "Are you just pointing in some random area?"

"Of course not!" Ruby answered in a harsh tone, clench her fists tightly. "It's something I learned when I was doing a survival exercise with Naruto and my Uncle. You can use the sun for navigation and checking the time since it always goes from east to west, and depending on where we see the sun from our location can tell us if we are going north or south. The sun was still in the northeast area when we were on the cliff with the Professors and Sharon, not to mention it was a little more north from looking at it from the cliff. Looking at it now and remembering where the sun was when we started, I can figure out the general direction of where we need to go."

Blinking in surprise at the slightly younger girl's explanation, Weiss was silent for a few seconds before managing to find her voice. "That's… very impressive actually. But how do you know we didn't go passed it?"

Rubbing the back of her head, Ruby let out an awkward chuckle. "While I can't say it for certain, most of the time there are ways of telling that something man-made is around, like signs of work done to surrounding area to make it easier to access… Or at least that's what I've been told me. Never actually seen one myself."

"Hmmm… Going by what you're saying, we just to find an area that is different from the rest of the forest and that should help up find the temple. Not bad." Weiss admitted while taking a thinking pose, turning her gaze from the ground to the red-cloaked wearing girl. "I have to admit, I'm impressed."

"I told you before, there's more to me than just a socially awkward teenager. And yes, I know that sounds stupid." Ruby replied with a hopeful smile as she held a hand out to the girl, "We're going to be teammates for a good few years, we can at least try to work together… Right?"

"… I suppose… you have a point…" Staring down at Ruby's offered hand, Weiss suddenly took in a deep breath before exhaling slowly. "Obviously, there are some things that we're going to need to work on if we want to make it through this. Between your childishness, hyper-activeness, and tendency to be reckless... as well as my tendency to be… difficult." As Weiss continued to speak, she closed her eyes briefly and missed Ruby rolling her eyes at the white-haired girl's words, before opening them again and extending her hand out to grab onto Ruby's. "But if you're willing not to showoff, I will do my best to be nicer."

Letting out a sigh as she pulled her arm back, Ruby took a step back as she rubbed her arm. "I'm not trying to show-off, I'm just trying to prove that I can do this."

"You're fine." Weiss said before she started walking in the direction that Ruby had pointed at earlier, "Now let's get going before any more monsters show up."

Watching the Schnee Heiress walk away, a small smile formed on Ruby's face as she brought her hands together. "Haaaa, normal knees."

"Hey, are you coming or not?" Weiss called out as she turned around, already a good distance between them.

Nodding her head, Ruby activated her Semblance to appear next to Weiss. "Right, sorry. Okay, so the best bet we have would be to continue down this way until we find something with higher grounds. That way we can get a better view of everything around us."

"That sounds like a good idea… Hey Ruby?" The red and black dressed girl turned to Weiss as the two continued walking, "You kept bringing up Naruto. Have you known each other for a long time?"

"We actually grew up together, well, it was mostly him and Yang that were childhood friends while I was the dorky younger sister that tagged along whenever I got the chance." Ruby explained while letting out a low giggle, "But he never complained about it, and always made me feel part of the group. Naruto's always been a nice guy that could make friends with almost anyone, and even though he's famous, he's never acted like he's better than everyone."

"Yeah. I can picture that, he does seem like the type…" Weiss nodded her head as she thought back to the previous day when Naruto had played peacemaker between her and the cloak wearing girl next to her, not to mention earlier that morning when he cheered Jaune up after her earlier statements of how he thought he was on Naruto and Pyrrha's level. Something that she admitted was a little harsh, but at the same time it was something she believed needed to be said.

"But at the same time, you need to be careful when he goes into prankster mode. I blame my uncle for making it worse!" Anime tears fell down Ruby's face as she thought about the many times that she was a target of Naruto's pranks. Like the time he had left a small basket of strawberries for her on her family's kitchen table, only for it to explode and cover her and the entire room in the remains of those poor, poor strawberries! Taken from this world before their time… to be devoured!

A sweatdrop formed on the back of Weiss' head as she tried to process what Ruby words and actions, having some difficulty associating the image of a prankster with someone with a reputation like Naruto's. "I… see…" After a few seconds the white-haired girl shook her head, deciding it was something that could be put off for another day. "So, if we're going to work together, what else do you have besides a Speed Semblance and a scythe?"

As the two continued their conversation, neither noticed that some of the trees a little ways away had heavy claw marks and broken branches that were lying against a few unusually large black feathers… nor did they seen the blood stains that were on the shattered remains of cracked armor and destroyed weapons.

(Different Part of Forest)

"Wow~! This Aura stuff is incredible!" Jaune spoke up as he and Pyrrha were seen walking down a small path, the blonde looking down at his hands in awe as he still felt a tingly sensation in his fingers. "I can't believe I couldn't use it till now."

"Not everyone has the ability to access Aura on their own the first time. Most of the time it either takes someone who can already use it to help bring the Aura out, or if that person has gone through extensive training and strong willpower… there are also very rare cases when a person can activate it during extreme circumstances, like if their life is in mortal danger." Pyrrha explained as she scanned the area in front of them for any signs of monsters hiding behind the trees or bushes surrounding them, wielding her Miló in its Xiphos form as she walked.

Jaune came to a halt as he processed his teammate's words, "But wouldn't that be the case for a lot of people. I mean, people always say that danger is around every corner, right? There are people that are attacked by those Grimm monsters every day."

"True, but like I said. The danger has to be extreme." Pyrrha replied as she also came to a halt to look back at Jaune, "I'm actually surprised that you didn't know how to use your Aura despite the large amount you possess."

"Uh, well, I… It just… never really came up back home…" Shifting his gaze to the ground as he seemed to dodge the topic, before shaking his head. "Anyways! We should try and find that temple before anything bad happens!"

Pyrrha nodded her head in agreement as she turned back towards the direction they were originally heading, "Agreed. If we stay in one place for too long, we might encounter creatures of Grimm. We have been walking for a while now, so we should be getting close to the temple."

As the two started to continue their journey, Jaune shifted his gaze to the sky, which was partially being blocked by the tree branches overhead. "I wonder how everyone else is doing. The only other people I've seen were Ruby and Weiss, though that was a while back… Do you think they've found the temple already?"

"It is possible." The Invincible Girl replied as she kept her gaze on the path ahead, "With the amount of time that has passed already, I'm certain that everyone else has most likely found their partners already. There are probably a few teams that have already claimed their artifacts and are on their way back to the cliffs."

"Well, hopefully we can find that temple and grab a relic before they're all gone… You don't think it's a first come first serve kinda deal, do you Pyrrha?" Jaune asked as he looked back down towards the path as well.

"I have no idea. There is no guarantee on what Professor Ozpin or the other teachers has in mind for Beacon Initiations, I doubt even Naruto knows what is his father is planning." Pyrrha answered with a shake of her head, "But even so, we should continue moving and hopefully find the temple before it's too late. There is no telling what kind of creatures are in these woods or how the other students are progressing."

(Meanwhile)

"… I'm gonna do it."

"Don't even think about it, Nora."

"No way! I'm doing it."

"But we don't have-"

"But nothing, Ren! It's just standing there begging for me to do it!"

"You do realize that we still have to find the temple, right?"

"…"

"Nora?" Ren spoke up as he looked to his side and saw that his childhood friend was nowhere to be seen, before turning his head back to look at the Ursa Grimm that was standing alone a few yards away, minding its own business as it walked around slowly on all fours. But that wasn't what Ren was focusing on. No, his attention was on a certain orange-haired girl that was sneaking behind the Grimm while holding onto her Magnhild, which was currently in its war hammer form.

Before Ren could say anything however, a large excited grin formed on Nora's face as she leaped towards the unaware Grimm with a battle cry and landed on its back. Realizing that there was now something on its back, the Ursa began to thrash about in an effort to try and remove whatever it was. But the grinning Nora remained securely on the Ursa's back before hitting its rear with her hammer, causing the beast to let out a roar before rushing forward.

"WOOOHOOOO~! Now we're talking!" Nora shouted as she held tightly onto the Grimm while sitting on the spike of its back as bear-like monster slammed into trees and bushes, "Ride 'Em Cowgirl!"

"Seriously, Nora?!" Ren shouted as he chased after the roaring Grimm and his teammate, who was laughing excitedly the whole time. "Get off that thing before something bad happens!"

Pausing in her laughing to look back at her teammate, who was already a good distance away, before calling back to him. "Don't be such a party pooper Ren! I'm gonna be totally fine!"

"I meant for other people! So get off the Ursa already!"

"NEVER! I'M A GRIMM RIDING COWGIRL! HAHAHAHA~!"

(Further Deep in the Emerald Forest)

"Cripes! Just how many of these Grimms are we gonna run into?" Yang questioned as she let out a huff, her smoking gauntlets, Ember Celica, returning to their bracelet mode as she raised her arms over her head as she did a few stretches to force her adrenaline down. Usually the buxom blonde wouldn't mind the rush in her blood, but even she knew that there was a time and place. "That's the fourth encounter since we became a team! How's that for awesome?!"

Surrounding her and her teammates were a small ring of dead Grimm monsters that were either sliced apart, broken limbs or snapped necks, all of carcasses releasing clouds of smoke from their bodies. As Yang was doing her stretches, Naruto and Blake were pulling their blades out of the Grimm that they had killed and stepping back as the creatures turned into dust, the blonde having his Rikudou in its Dual Sword mode while the latter was using the katana part of her weapon, Gambol Shroud, to take down most of their enemies. Not too far away from them was another corpse, this one human… or rather, what was left of it as most of the bloody body has been torn apart or missing thanks to the now dead Creatures of Grimm.

Letting out a sigh despite the smile on Naruto's face, the only male member of the trio turn to face his childhood friend. "You are such a battle freak, Yang."

"Don't act like you don't love that about me, Whiskers." Yang replied with a large grin as she stopped stretching to see Naruto return his Rikudou back into its pole forms and placed them under his coat, "Not like your any better either. I saw that pleased look on your face when those Beowulves surrounded you."

"The "super-awesome, mega-attractive badass" Qrow's third and fourth rules of combat…" Naruto started to say before Yang joined him in his next sentence.

""Always go into battle with the confidence you're going to win, and enjoy humiliating with your enemies whenever you get the chance.""

The two let out a laugh after finishing at the same time, Yang moved her hands behind her hands as she looked around at the vanishing Grimm before focusing on the headless, dead body nearby, the smile on her face disappearing as she stared at it, "Looks like that guy wasn't so lucky. I knew that Beacon's Initiation was going to be tough, but to think we'd actually find other students that didn't make it…"

Dismissing the craziness in the conversation between her two teammates while sheathing her blade back into its bladed sheath resting against her back, Blake looked around the three of them with a frown as well as she voiced her agreement to Yang's words. "Professor Ozpin did say that we would run into obstacles, but this does seem a little much."

"Comes with the job of being a Hunter or Huntress, death is always around the corner if we're not careful." Naruto said as he walked over to the corpse before kneeling down next to it, dismissing the smell that was already coming from the remains as he studied the body.

It was one of the more disastrous lessons that Qrow had put him through, being able to withstand the stench of death and other horrible stenches. During one of their training trips when he was younger, the old drunk had practically dumped an eleven-year-old Naruto in the remnants of a massacred town that was filled with decomposed bodies, drugs, human waste and other unmentionable things. Apparently an idiot in the town had captured a Grimm to experiment on it, only for it to backfire as the Grimms pack had shown up and murdered everyone in the small town. Naruto had lost count of how many times he nearly vomited from the stench alone… not to mention the few nightmares he experienced after that horror. He wasn't the only one to suffer as Qrow was given quite the beating from Sharon for exposing the young blonde to such a sight before he was ready, even Ozpin had voiced some complaints to the unfortunate man before confronting his son about the matter. His father had been blunt of how such horrific things were seen in the world despite the era of peace before asking Naruto if he still wanted to be a Hunter when he was older, only to feel a pride as Naruto replied that he would still become a Hunter to help prevent such things from happening to innocent people.

Watching as Naruto inspected the body, both Blake and Yang walked up behind him before noticing the male blonde come to a halt as he reached out and grabbed something. "Did you find something Whiskers?"

"This guy… was a Faunus, a wolf type by the looks of it." Naruto answered as he lifted up a wolf tail that was still connected to the body, not noticing Blake's eyes widen slightly before returning to normal as she stared at Naruto's with a calculated look in her eyes. She watched as Naruto lowered the tail back to the ground and glancing around briefly before letting out a sigh. "… Poor guy. He must've been trying to fight the Grimm off before they overwhelmed him with numbers. He didn't go down willingly, but still… to die all alone in a place like this… Maybe if we got here sooner, we could've helped."

"… You really care about this, even though he's a Faunus?" Blake asked with an unreadable tone in her voice, however it was obvious that she didn't have any negativity in her question. She had learned that despite the markings on Naruto's face, he was a normal Human that had birthmarks on his cheeks. But Yang didn't stop there as she demonstrated that rubbing the markings didn't do anything to Naruto, before making Blake try it out herself… yet another person to the list of enjoy rubbing his whiskers… God Damn it, Yang!

Standing up without turning back to look at the black-haired girl, Naruto spoke up with his fists clenched. "Of course I do. It doesn't matter if they're Human or Faunus, nobody deserves to die alone like this." Letting out a breath, Naruto turned to face his teammates. "Normally I'd say we should bury him, but Sharon and the Professors much have a Recovery Team or something to get all of the injured or dead."

"Then we should continue trying to find the temple. Not to sound heartless, but we need to avoid running into anymore Grimm." Blake said with a nod of her head.

Yang let out a snort as she placed a hand on her hip, "As if they could do anything to us, we'll just get rid of them too."

"She is right, though." Naruto spoke up making both of them turn to look at him, "They'll delay us even more and I don't think we should try to push this until things get dark where running into Grimm is more dangerous."

"I guess that makes more sense. Hopefully Ruby is doing better than us." Yang said before shifting her gaze to the side as a thought went through her mind. 'And not teamed up with something bad like that Ice Queen.' Shaking her head at that, Yang pumped a fist into the air with a large grin. "Alright, you two! Let's keep going! Naruto, use your Windy Whisker Radar to help us out!"

"Windy Whisker Radar?" Blake repeated while looking at Naruto with a raised eyebrow, amusement on her face as she watched Naruto face palm.

"I told you and Ruby that we're not calling it that… Hmm, I'm not sensing anything malicious in the wind nearby," Naruto stated as he lowered his hand and glanced up at the sky, feeling a breeze brush against his face while staring up at the sky and sun that could be seen through the tree branches. Shaking his head a few times to clear his mind, the young Ozpin closed his eyes briefly before turning his head towards the direction that the wind was blowing. "We're nearing a hillside with a clearing."

"Amazing as ever Whiskers, my sexy, muscular friend!" Yang exclaimed with an excited expression as she took the lead in the direction Naruto was looking, "Then let's get going!

"… She's certainly… expressive, isn't she?" Blake spoke up with a raised eyebrow as she looked over at her male teammate, who shrugged his shoulders with an amused grin as the two started following after their final teammate.

"Among other things, you'll get used to it… maybe. Though you should be glad that she doesn't know you're a Faunus. If she did, she'd go after those ears of yours and pet them for hours." Naruto replied while keeping his eyes on Yang's back, not looking over at the shocked girl next to him, who came to a halt and stared at his back in shock.

"H-How did you find out?" Blake questioned with a cautious look on her face.

Turning back to look at her as he too stopped walking, Naruto looked back with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, you're secret is safe with me until you feel safe to reveal it to us. I've run into a lot of different Faunus throughout my life, so it's easy for me to spot one if you know what to look for… But just so you know, putting a ribbon over them doesn't stop them from reacting and twitching like a cat's when something catches your attention."

"… It's not even passed day two and someone's already figured me out." Blake muttered to herself as she brought a hand to her forehead, before lifting her head up to look at Naruto. "Thank you for understanding, Faunus aren't really-"

"You don't have to continue, I get it. Personally I hate how people treat Faunus just because they're slightly different from Humans." Naruto held up a hand in a reassuring manner, making Blake nod her head with a small smile at how he understood her situation. "Hopefully you'll see that you can open up to us when you're ready."

"Hey! Don't get in on any action without me!" The smile dimmed a little as she and Naruto looked ahead to see that Yang had come to a stop and was waving at the two with a teasing grin, "At least wait until we're done with this exam first! We can all Yang out together and see what happens!"

"…"

"… Goddamn it Yang!"

RYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWN

"Hmmm…" Jaune crossed his arms as he and Pyrrha found themselves standing in front of a cave that had strange drawings near the entrance. It looked to be several humanoid stick figures surrounding what looked like a large scorpion, while other drawings seemed to have faded greatly. Turning his head to look at the girl next to him, Jaune made a gesture towards the cave, "Think this is it?"

Studying the cave with a wary gaze, Pyrrha tightened the grip she had on her weapon. "I'm not sure. It's too dark to get a good look inside."

"… Hold on." Taking a few steps away from the cave and his teammate, Jaune did a quick scan of the nearby branches and twigs before coming to a stop with a grin. "Ah-ha! This will work!"

"What will work?" Pyrrha asked as she watched the blonde teen kneel down and start to move about and fiddle with something in his hands. Moving closer to him, the redheaded warrior peered over his shoulder with a raised eyebrow.

"This gonna help us out," Jaune declared as he revealed his creation, which turned out to be a makeshift torch out of wood and a bunch of leafs that were tied at the top. "Luckily I remember my dad showing me how to making torches during one of my camping trips to Anima." Smiling with pride at his creation, Jaune lowered the torch to focus his attention back to the ground and scanned through the grass and dirt. "Now I just need something to start a fire."

"Here. This should help,"

Turning his head around to look at Pyrrha, he took notice to a strange rectangular device in her hands with a red crystal sticking out of it. "You've got a Dust Fire Starter! Whoa, those things cost a fortune!"

"It's something that my mother gave me when I was younger. She always told me to be prepared for any situation to avoid running into problems." Pyrrha explained as she handed Jaune the Fire Starter with a smile, one that was mirrored by her teammate as he pressed the red Dust Crystal against the batch of tied leaves before pressing the button to activate the device.

"Yeah, parents really seem to know everything about anything," A noticeable heat could be felt against his gloved hand, signaling that the Fire Starter was working as traces of smoke was coming from the area that the crystal was pressed against. Several seconds later, the smoke was replaced by a small fire that quickly grew into a large blaze. "Nice. Now we can go check out the cave. C'mon Pyrrha!"

"… Alright." Pyrrha said as she watched her teammate head towards the entrance of the cave before following after him. It was after a minute of walking through the slightly brightened room and scanning the tunnel around them that the redhead spoke up with cautious look on her face, "Jaune, I'm not sure this is where we'll find the relics…"

Letting out a sigh at his partner's skeptic comment, Jaune turned slightly to face her while gesturing to the lit torch in his hand. "Pyrrha, I made the torch. Ccould you at least humor me for maybe five more feet… Wha-!?" Not paying attention to where he was walking prevented Jaune from seeing the decent-sized rock that was sticking out of the ground and caused him to trip, falling to the ground as the torch flew out of his hands and hit a small puddle a little further away. "Ow. Oh come on, that wasn't even four!"

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. Just… Just a small blow to my pride."

Blinking as she felt the air around her change, Pyrrha looked around with narrow eyes before she called out to her teammate as she sensed him getting back to his feet. "Do you feel that?"

"Soul crushing regret?" Jaune replied as his eyes widened in the darkness as he could barely see anything, instantly regretting his decision to continue deeper into the cave, before shifting his gaze to where he was sure Pyrrha was still standing. "A nerve racking sensation?"

"No, it's… warm?" Despite Jaune not being able to see it, one of Pyrrha's eyebrows raised a little as she tried to figure out what was causing the sudden rise in temperature inside the previously chilly cave, the cautious feeling from earlier returning full force as something could be seen starting to glow in the distance.

(With Blake, Naruto and Yang)

"Do you think that's the place?" Yang spoke up as she, Blake and Naruto looked down the hillside and saw what appeared to be the ruins of a temple with most of structure already destroyed.

Giving the female blonde a look, Blake shook her head before making her way down with Naruto following after her. Yang soon followed after them and joined them as they came across several pedestals that were lined up in a circle, some of which had items on them that looked like-

"Chess pieces?"

'Somehow, it doesn't surprise me that Dad used these as the relics.' Naruto thought to himself as he studied the different chess pieces that were either black or gold. "Looks like a few pieces are missing."

"Guess that means other teams made it here before us." Yang said as she stood in front of the pedestal that had a gold Knight piece on it. "You're dad has some weird tastes in relics, Naruto."

"And what exactly did you expect to find? Those tiny umbrellas you get with your Strawberry Sunrise?" Naruto retorted with a deadpanned expression causing his childhood friend to look away with an awkward laugh before he placed his hands behind his head. "That's what I thought. Besides, knowing him, there's something else to his choice."

Perking her head up at that, Blake turned towards Naruto with a raised eyebrow. "Like what?"

"Don't know," Naruto shrugged his shoulders at that before taking a quick glance at all the pedestals that still had Chess Piece Relics on them. "But I feel like there is something obvious about this that I'm missing. Just don't know what it is… Well, let's just pick one for now."

"Hmmm, then how about a cute little pony!" Yang called out to the two as she grabbed the gold knight piece that was on the pedestal, waving it at them as they turned to face her.

A small smile formed on Blake face at Yang's choice, "Sure."

"Sounds good to me." Naruto nodded his head in agreement before the three met in the middle of the temple ruins, "Besides the constant battles, this was way easier than I thought it was going to be."

"Yeah, but even that was a breeze for us!" Yang said cheerfully as she put the chess piece away for safe keeping.

"Well, it's not like this place is very difficult to find." Blake stated as the three shared a smile, but the moment didn't last as a loud, girlish scream could be heard echoing in the distance.

Snapping her head in the direction of the scream with a concerned look, Yang took a step forward towards the forest. "Did you guys hear that? Some girl is in trouble! She must've run into monsters like the guy we say earlier!"

"Um… Yang?" Naruto spoke up to catch his fellow blonde's attention, neither noticing as the bow on Blake's head twitched followed by the black haired girl looking upwards. "That wasn't a girl."

"… Seriously?" A look of disbelief replaced the concern on Yang's face as she rubbed the side of her head, "…Wow…"

"Yeah…"

"… This is awkward."

"And embarrassing for the male gender." Naruto coughed into his hand to change the uncomfortable atmosphere, "But yeah, we should go see if we can help out."

"… Um… Guys…" Both Naruto and Yang turned their heads to see Blake looking up at the sky with a look of disbelief before pointing upwards, making the two look up themselves to see what she was staring at. Before mirroring her expression at the strangely familiar figure falling towards them.

A look of panic was on Ruby's face as she descended rapidly towards the ground, waving her arms and legs frantically to rebalance herself. "HHHEEEEAAAAADDS UUUUUUUUP!"

"No way… RUBY!" Yang called out with shock and worry as she ran forward to try and intercept her sister before she crashed.

"How? Why?" The young Ozpin exclaimed before his eyes widened in shock as he felt a gust of wind, shifting his gaze from the falling Ruby back towards the sky above them. "…Oh, you've got to be FUCKING KIDDING ME!"

(A Few Seconds Earlier)

"RUBY!" The black and red haired girl had trouble keeping her eyes open from the power wind pressure that was hitting her face, but she managed to tilt her head a little as she head Weiss' voice calling out to her over the wind almost two yards away… Damn, the Schnee girl had lungs. "I told you this was a terrible idea!"

"We're fine, Weiss! Stop worrying! We'll should be over the temple soon!" Ruby called back while tightening her grip as to not fall off.

Feeling a twitch on her forehead at Ruby's words, Weiss closed one eye to stop the wind from uncomfortably blowing against it. "I am so beyond worrying."

"… In a good way?"

"In a BAD way! A very bad way! How did you even convince me to do something this reckless?!"

"I get it from my Uncle and Naruto! They've done way worse! You'd be surprised at how much they-!"

"That was a rhetorical question!"

"Look! If you are having such a problem with this, why don't we just jump?"

"What are you, INSANE?!"

"…"

"…"

"…"

"… Ruby?" After a few seconds of hearing no reply coming from her teammate, Weiss managed to lift her head enough to look at the area where Ruby had been… only to find it unoccupied. "Oh, you insufferable little red-!"

(Back on the Ground Level)

"Don't worry, Ruby! I've got you!" Yang shouted as she managed to make it to the area where Ruby was going to land and raised her arms up to catch her sister. The distance between the two quickly shortened until Ruby was almost in Yang's arms… before a screaming Jaune came flying out of nowhere and crashed into her, sending them crashing into a nearby tree. Yang's lilac eyes were replaced with blank white circles as her stretched out hands twitched in a grabbing motion, "Uuuuuumm, never mind."

Naruto couldn't help but grimace at the impact, "… It's a good thing they had Aura."

"Oohhhh... What the heck was that?" A dizzy-eyed Ruby groaned out as she tried to shake off the stars and mini-Grimms circling around her head, which was sore from whatever slammed into her before sending them into the tree.

"Ah-hem!" A familiar male voice could be heard coming from in front of her, making Ruby look up to see Jaune hanged upside down from a tree branch above her. "Hey Ruby… Sorry about that."

"… It's fine, Jaune… um, are you okay?"

"Oh, I'm fine. Hanging in there… kinda literally."

"Did your sister just fall from the sky?" Blake asked as she looked from the confused Yang towards the trees where Ruby and Jaune had landed, before glancing at the male blonde standing next to her. "And did she get slammed into by a screaming guy?"

Naruto blinked as he tried to find the right words to say before blinking in confusion, feeling a strange sensation in the surrounding wind that felt… electrical?

Walking up to her partners with a dumbstruck expression, Yang opened her mouth to speak, "… I-"

All three spun their heads to another part of the forest to see several trees falling to the floor with the sounds of something growling in the shadows. They were soon greeted by the sight of a thrashing Ursa emerging from the trees as if it was trying to shake something off, but before any of them could do anything, a pink electrical flash could be seen followed by the sounds of an explosion. The large Ursa's movements came to a quick halt as its limbs fell before its body crashed to the ground. To their surprise, an orange haired girl could be seen rolling off the dead Grimm's back as it fell forward.

"YEEEE-HAAAAW!" The girl shouted as she rolled to the floor, before getting back to her feet with a pout as she turned to face the now dead creature. "Aww. It's broken already?!"

"Wait a minute… Isn't that…?" Naruto started to say as he, Blake and Yang watched the girl move to stand on top of the dead Ursa, stepping on it a few times before looking up to see that there were people staring at her.

The girl's gaze shifted from his two teammates before focusing on him. Narrowing her eyes slightly while leaning forwards as if to figure out what she was looking at, a look of realization appeared on her face and pointed at Naruto with an excited grin. "IT'S YOU! THE WEIRD WHISKER-FACED GUY!"

"Huh?" Naruto blinked a few times at her addressing.

"Someone you know, Whiskers?" Yang asked as she felt even more confused at the girl's entrance.

She wasn't the only one as Blake stared at the dead Grimm under the orange haired girl's feet, "Did she just come in while riding on an Ursa?"

"We met yesterday after the Airship landed." Naruto answered as he shifted his gaze briefly to look at Yang, but when he looked back at where Nora had been, he was greeted with the sight of a panted Ren standing near the dead Ursa, looking around frantically. He was taken out of his thoughts as he felt a hand resting against his whiskered cheek and looked down to see that it belonged to Nora, who had a funny look on concentration on her face. "Uh, can I help you?"

"They still feel funny!" Nora whined as pulled her hand back, before crossing her arms over her chest. "You should let some hair grow over them! That way they'd feel more like how whiskers are supposed to!"

"… I don't know what to say to that."

"Nora, what did I say about grabbing people's faces?" Ren called out as he walked up to the four, an apologetic look on his face as he came to a stop. "Sorry about that, Naruto."

"Don't worry about it, Rin." Shrugging off the apology with a smile, while gesturing towards the still dumb-folded Yang. "Trust me, my friend here does it all the time for some reason."

Nodding his head in understanding, Ren had a small smile on his face. "Still, Nora should at least… Nora?" Looking around in confusion as his childhood friend disappeared once again, Ren felt someone tap his shoulder and saw Naruto using his thumb to point behind him towards the temple ruins. Looking over the blonde's shoulder, the black-haired man caught sight of his teammate standing by the relic pedestals, in front of the Rook chess piece.

"Ooooo…" Staring at the gold Rook with a look of awe on her face, Nora swiped it with an excited and very proud grin on her face. She then started dancing with the Rook piece while singings the words, "I'm Queen of the Castle! I'm Queen of the Castle!"

"NORA!"

Rin's shout snapped Nora out of her singing and dancing, making her come to a stop before saluting her teammate while letting the Rook fall off her head into her hand. "Hee hee hee! Coming Rin!"

Blake blinked as she crossed her arms, "Well that was certainly… interesting."

"… I-"

Unfortunately for Yang, she was once again interrupted. This time by a shrilling screech and more trees falling to the ground, making everyone turn their heads in yet another direction to see Pyrrha running out of the forest with a large scorpion-like Grimm, a Death Stalker, chasing after her as it used it's claws to knock dozens of trees out of its path in its pursuit of the redheaded girl. As the two emerged into the clearing, the Death Stalker tried to strike Pyrrha down with its giant claws, only for the Untouchable Girl to skillfully jump out of the way and successfully dodge the attack before continuing her sprint.

"Jaune!" Pyrrha shouted as she looked around for her teammate, almost positive she had seen him land somewhere in this direction.

"Pyrrha!" Jaune called back in relief after hearing Pyrrha's voice, though he was having difficulty turning around.

Getting back on her feet, a look of amazement formed on Ruby's face as she caught sight of the creature chasing Pyrrha, "Whoa! It's a Death Stalker! And a big one!"

"Wait, Ruby!" Jaune started to say, only for the younger girl to running off the branch and leap to the ground… leaving him stuck in the tree.

"Ruby?" A relieved Yang spoke up as Ruby landed a few feet away.

"Yang!" Ruby cheered as she looked up to see her older sister, as well as Blake and Naruto standing next to her, making the black/red haired girl even happier to see the latter. "Naruto!"

"Hey Ruby!" Naruto greeted with a large grin as he watched Yang and Ruby reach out to hug one another…

"Nora!"

… Only for an excited Nora to comically come between the two of them and knocking them off balance.

"Did she just run all the way here with a Death Stalker on her tail?" Blake asked while watching Pyrrha dodge another one of the giant Grimm's attacks.

Naruto let out a weak chuckle as he scratched his cheek with a finger, "Somehow, that doesn't surprise me…" Shifting his gaze a little to see the final member of their three-man team trembling with an irritated look on her face, the male blonde took a step back to avoid the explosion waiting to happen, and he didn't just mean metaphorically either. Blake and Ruby noticed his actions before mimicking it themselves, while Nora continued to playfully copy Yang's trembling form for some reason.

Seconds later, Yang's Aura erupted in a burst of flames while she eyes turned red, showing that she had reached her limit, "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! Can everyone just chill out for two seconds before something crazy happens again?!"

"…"

"…"

"…"

"…"

"…"

The area around the six was strangely silent as an exhausted Ren was still catching his breath from chasing after Nora and the unfortunate Ursa for a few miles in under 15 minutes, meanwhile his teammate was giggling and full of energy. Naruto looked at his panting friend in amusement, before looking up at the same time as Blake and Ruby. The young Ozpin blinked as he caught sight of something in the air… Huh, he almost forgot about that thing he sensed earlier.

As Yang was in the middle of cooling down, her younger sister tapped her shoulder while pointing upwards. "Um, guys? I think we have another issue."

"… Ugh!" Slouching forward while knowing that there was yet another crazy thing happening above their heads, Yang let out an exasperated groan.

Leaning closer to his childhood friend while not taking his eyes off the sky, Naruto spoke up in an amused voice. "If it makes you feel better, that was actually three seconds."

"Shut up, Whiskers. Just… Shut up." Yang replied before finally looking up to see what everyone else was staring at, only to let out another, softer groan. "You've got to be kidding me."

High above their heads, nearly reaching the clouds, a giant bird Grimm called a Nevermore could be seen soaring through the air. But what caught their attentions the most was the fact that a certain white-haired, equally white outfitted Weiss Schnee was hanging onto one of the creature's talons, barely managing to keep her grip with one arm. "How could you leave me?!"

"Ruby… She's your teammate?" Naruto asked as he and the others stared up at the young woman barely hanging, "And you just left Weiss up there by herself?"

"I told her to jump." Ruby said in her defense, only for the male blonde to smack the back of her head making her hold the tender area with teary eyes. "Owie! What did you do that for?!"

"You know why." Naruto replied without taking his eyes off the giant Nevermore and Weiss.

"She's gonna fall." Blake said simply with her arms crossed.

Rubbing the slowly fading pain, Ruby looked back up at Weiss while weakly reassuring the others. "She'll be fine. If anything, she could use those weird circle thingies to save herself."

"Circle thingies?" Yang repeated in confusion.

"Yeah. It's actually kinda cool."

Ren let out a soft noise before speaking up, while his orange-haired teammate next to him was cupping her hands around her eyes like binoculars. "She's falling."

As the group was watching Weiss fall towards ground, Jaune managed to free himself from the tree branch and readjusted himself in time to see Weiss in mid-fall. A large grin formed on his face as he realized the opportunity in front of him, before leaping off the branch with arms stretched out to catch her. Weiss blinked in surprised as she felt herself land in someone's arms and looked over to see Jaune's smiling face.

"Just dropping in?" The smiling blonde asked in full Casanova-like voice, but Weiss was speechless as she looked from him towards the ground below them before looking back at Jaune with a scared expression. Jaune was a little confused at her actions until he looked down as well, and then his smiling face was replaced with horror, one that Weiss mirrored upon realizing that Jaune didn't have a plan in mind to stop their descent. "Oh god…" The two of them looking at each other with wide-eyes seconds before gravity finally took hold of them as they continued to plummet to the ground, losing their weapons in the process. "NOOOooooooo!"

Closing her eyes tightly as she braced herself for impact, Weiss suddenly felt herself come to a halt with something wrapping around her waist. Opening her eyes, she was greeted by the sight of her hovering a dozen feet above the ground, "What in the?"

"That was close. You two okay?" Naruto's voice spoke up, making Weiss turn her head to see his concerned face before looking down to see that they were actually still in the air and Naruto was actually riding his hoverboard, Kitsune, with one arm wrapped around Weiss' waist while the other was holding Jaune by the belt of his pants. Not finding her voice as she looked back to see Naruto looking down at her with a raised eyebrow, "Hey, are you okay or not."

"Uh, yeah. I'm fine. Do you think you could get me down now?" That was the only thing Weiss could say as she looked away with redness on her cheeks.

"Wow. Not even a thanks." Naruto said as he lowered himself and the two onto the ground, letting the oddly silent Weiss hop off once they got close enough before releasing his grip on Jaune's belt making him land softly onto the grassy floor while letting out a muffled 'thank you' in the grass, while Naruto got off of Kitsune and returned it to normal, turning his head to see Pyrrha still being chased by the Death Stalker and doing her best to dodge its claws. "There we go, now we just have get Pyrrha away from that-" Naruto was cut off as the Death Stalker suddenly used its tail and smacked Pyrrha, knocking the redhead into the air toward the group and caused her to crash into the dirt in front of them. "Or that could happen… Hey Pyrrha, how was the flight?"

"Short, painful and a little exhausting," Pyrrha replied as she slowly got back to her feet, shaking her head a bit to brush off the ache.

Shrugging her shoulders with a grin on her face, Yang decided to break the tension with a joke. "Whelp, looks like the gang's all here! Now we can die together!"

"Not if I can help it…" Ruby said before taking a thinking pose as she stared at the approaching Death Stalker and Nevermore, two large enemies coming at them by land and air. Normally she would've charged at the Death Stalker, but after her conversation with Weiss, Ruby knew that she couldn't be reckless… Suddenly, a thought flashed through her mind and turned her head to look at Weiss, who was retrieving her sword. "That's it! We just need to distract them for a bit! Then we can complete our missions of retrieving the artifacts and making it back to the cliffs!"

"What exactly did you have in mind?" A frowning Blake asked as she cautiously watched giant Grimm, "It doesn't look like they'll fall for any simple tricks."

Turning her head to look at her teammate and her fellow pupil, "Weiss, Naruto, do you guys have enough Dust left in your weapons?"

Weiss raised an eyebrow as she placed a hand on the hilt of her Myrtenaster, "Of course. Though I don't have a lot of Fire Dust, after that misdirection earlier with the Beowulves."

"That was you guys?" Shaking his head at his question, Naruto figured that it was something to focus on later. "Anyway, I still have some left in my Rikudou too. What do you have in mind, Ruby?"

"Use what you can to stop those guys in their tracks, and make it big!" Ruby ordered, making the two nod their heads at the same time before turning to face the incoming enemy and took several steps forward.

Taking out his weapon and turning it into its Broadsword Mode, Naruto stabbed the large blade into the ground with a reverse grip on the handle, briefly looking at Weiss as she drew her rapier. "I'll take care of the Nevermore while you block the Death Stalker, sound good?"

"That's fine. But will you be able to hit something in the air without your hoverboard?" Weiss questioned as she shifted her position into an attacking pose.

A large smirk formed on Naruto's face as he tightened his grip on his sword's hilt before giving it three good twists, activating the Rev System as the sounds of an engine shifting gears. The sword and Naruto's body began to glow as he was covered in a yellow-orange hue, "No need to worry your pretty little head, I can strike with enough force from here."

"Hmph. You sure act more like Ruby when it comes to battle, and probably just as reckless as her I'll bet.… Haaaaa~!" With a powerful leap forward Weiss charged towards the Death Stalker with her Myrtenaster pointing straight at it as the giant scorpion ran towards her with a claw ready to swing at her. To the surprise of the others, a glyph appeared under Weiss' feet and increased the white-haired girl's speed to where she easily dodged the Death Stalker's stinger before stabbing her rapier into the ground under the tail, causing a large white glyph to form under the beast just seconds before ice emerged from it and trapped a large portion of the creature's body within it. Smiling victoriously at her actions, Weiss pulled out her weapon and leaped backwards several times until she was closer to the group, "How's that?"

"Whoa~! I didn't think she would do something that cool." Ruby commented in amazement.

"Well, she is an Ice Queen." Yang said with a grin, only for silence to follow for a few seconds along with a few bland stares. "… What? Oh come on, that was a good one!"

"No, it wasn't!" Naruto shouted as he quickly maneuvered through the large wave of sharpened quilled feathers shooting out of Nevermore's flapping wings, before leaping higher into the air with what looked like mini-twisters under his feet. Swinging his glowing sword in the direction of the Nevermore, a large wave of lightning was released with the swing and headed towards the flying Grimm with the wave growing in size as it got closer. But Naruto wasn't done as he swung his broadsword to more times at different angles, this time releasing a fire-based attack and then a green-shaded blade of wind of that trailed behind the first strike. The Nevermore was quick to bring its wings in front of it to create a makeshift shield with its strengthened feathers and was able to take the force of the lightning attack, but as the next two attacks got closer, they seemed to merge together and formed an even large wave of flames that struck the Nevermore with an explosive blast that sent it fall backwards. Watching as the giant bird was falling headfirst into the trees, the group lost track of it upon hearing the collision of it hitting the ground, before turning their attention to Naruto as the blonde landed on one knee, panting hard as the glow around him dissipated. "Yang… You… are as funny… as your dad… which is still terrible!"

"Oh come one, Whiskers, I'm not that bad!"

"Whoa~! Did you see that Rin?! He was all 'swish' 'swish' and that Grimm was all 'WTF-BOOOOOM'!" Nora shouted excitedly while mimicking swinging a sword followed by a bad explosion noise, making the black-haired teen let out a sigh. He knew he shouldn't have let Nora watch those videos on her scroll.

"What the hell was that?!" Jaune exclaimed as he stared at Naruto with wide eyes, feeling both astonishment at the awesome attack that sent the bird-like Grimm falling and scared at how strong his fellow male blonde was.

"That was a combination of a special system that I built into my Rikudou and what happens if you use the right mixture of Dust." Naruto answered as he walked back with grin, hefting his sword over his shoulder. "Not my strongest attack, but that should by us some time before those things recovers enough to chase after us. Good planning there, Ruby."

"I'm so proud of you, lil sis!" Yang said as she rubbed the top of her sister's head affectionately.

Rubbing a finger under her nose with a grin, Ruby let out a small giggle. "Just using Uncle Qrow's second rule of combat. Use anything available to you to complete the task at hand… Anyways, now that they're out of the way for a bit, let's grab the artifacts and make it back to the cliffs. There's nothing to gain from fighting these things."

"So basically, run and live." Jaune deduced as he turned back towards the artifacts behind them before looking at Ruby with a small nod in agreement. "That's an idea I can get behind." Seeing as they were the only teams that didn't have their relics yet, both Ruby and Jaune walked up to the pedestals and picked up a Knight and Rook Piece respectively before grinning at each other.

The moment was short-lived as sounds of something cracking was heard making them turn to see the Death Stalker was close to freeing its claw and tail while the trees in the area that the Nevermore landed were starting to move about. Ren was the first to speak up as he motioned towards the opposite direction, "It's time to go!"

"Agreed," Naruto said before looking at the others in the large group of nine, returning his Rikudou back to its default form. "Everybody, let's get going! Ruby, you and I will lead the group to make sure we don't run into anything."

"Right! We'll be counting on your sensing abilities to alert us!" Ruby nodded in agreement before she and Naruto started running away with the others following after them… well, all except for a smiling Yang, who was staying back a bit.

She wasn't alone as Blake came to a halt and looked at her female teammate with a raised eyebrow, "What is it?"

At first, Yang didn't answer as she silently stared at Ruby, who leapt on a boulder and motioned for the group to hurry up, acting like a true leader as it looked like she was telling Naruto something, to which he nodded his head before Ruby and the others ran passed him.

"Nothing…" Yang answered with the smile still on her face before racing after the group with a small-smiling Blake following after her as the two caught up to Naruto, who grinned while nodding his head at his childhood friend as they started running to catch up to the group.

RYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWN

It wasn't long before the group of nine to make their way through the forest and found themselves running through an abandoned ruins that seemed to stretch all the way towards the cliff in the distance. But they weren't alone as the Nevermore, who was missing a good portion of each wing, was still trailing behind them high up in the air before increasing speed to where it perched itself on a temple column that was between them and the cliff. Using a series of motion signals with his arms, Naruto directed the group to spread out and take cover behind some of stone pillars to prevent the Nevermore from attacking them from a distance with its feathers. Securing themselves behind several pillars, the group watched as the bird-like Grimm adjusted its footing on the column before letting out a loud screech that echoed throughout the area.

"Well that's just great!" Yang stated with an annoyed expression as she, Naruto and Ruby studied the Nevermore's form.

The whiskered-faced blonde perked his head before turning to look behind them, letting out a shout as he picked up the sounds of something heavy in the forest they came from. "We've got more trouble at 6 o'clock!" Almost as soon as warning escaped his lips, the Death Stalker from earlier violently appeared from the forest, destroying any of the trees in its path.

Seeing the giant scorpion rushing towards them, Jaune rushed out from his hiding spot with Pyrrha a few feet behind him. "Aw, man! Run!"

Everyone else was quick to do the same as they emerged from their covers behind the pillars revealing themselves to the Nevermore, which rose up into the air at the sight of the young Hunters-in-training, and soared closer to the group with its wings beating hard.

"Nora, distract it!" Ren called out as he and the orange-haired girl moved out into the open.

Rushing passed the incoming feather projectiles being fired upon her and the others, Nora jumped over a large feather before bringing out her Magnhild in its grenade launcher form and firing several rounds of heart-topped shells at the Nevermore. Each on landing successfully at various points of the large bird Grimm's body with the one exploding into a cloud pink electricity as it connected with its head. The Nevermore reeled back a bit before soaring out of the way to avoid the barrage of Nora's shots, which cleared the way for the students to reach the cliff. But do to staying in one place, it allowed the Death Stalker catch up to Nora, only for Blake and Ren performed a cross-slash that knocked the beast away before it could land any blows to the girl. As this was happening, Weiss landed next to Nora and grabbed her while created a glyph under them that gave them the boost to distance them away from the Death Stalker that was now focusing its attentions Blake and Ren instead.

This didn't escape Naruto and Pyrrha's notices as they both came to a halt and transformed their weapons into their gun/rifle modes and opened fire on the Death Stalker, focusing their shots around the eyes of the giant scorpion making it raise its pincers in an effort to block the incoming attacks, though the force behind Naruto's shots were dealing more impact on the giant claws. As soon as Ren got closer to the bridge, he jump over to where the two were and started firing as well until Blake made it to them. All of them jumping out of the way as the Death Stalker tried to attack them with a lunge, but soon came to a halt as the monster realized it could no longer chase after them. All nine students ran as fast as they could to cross the bridge before anything else could get in their way, but the Nevermore returned as it circled around the Cliffside before ramming itself into the bridge, destroying a good chunk of it in the process and separating the group.

"Damn it!" Naruto cursed as he looked back to see that Blake, Ren, and Pyrrha were on the side of the destroyed bridge where Death Stalker was waiting for them. Looking behind him to see that Ruby, Weiss and Yang were focusing their attention on Nevermore in the distance, while Jaune and Nora were moving beside him to get a good look at the others. As the two conversed, Naruto shifted his gaze at the fog surrounding them with narrow eyes and a tightened grip on his guns. 'Something's not right here, I got a bad feeling in my gut.'

Naruto quickly snapped out of his thoughts as he saw a diabolically grinning Nora suddenly knock back Jaune with her Magnhild, before jumping back further than Jaune in time to see her weapon change from its grenade launcher form into a giant full-length Warhammer, and hopped to the edge of the break in the bridge. He watched as Jaune realized what Nora was about to do and try to stop the girl, only to be ignored as she slammed Magnhild into the edge of the bridge that catapulted him to the other side, "No, no, no, NOOO~!"

Suddenly a gust of wind blew upward as the still-smiling Nora hopped on her hammer and prepared to fire it off the collapsing bridge, the abrupt current made Naruto's eyes widen as he snapped his head to the side in time to see a large shadowy form rising from the fog before taking off into a run, transforming his guns into their Dual Sword mode as he leaped in front of Nora in time to intercept a new Grimm that was about attacked her and Jaune, piercing its side with one of his swords. It didn't take long for Naruto to recognize it as a Griffon, another aerial Creature of Grimm that was a combination of avian and feline animal traits. Turning his head back to see Nora continue riding her weapon through the air before slamming it on the head of the Death Stalker's skull while Jaune landed on the ground, his fellow male blonde looking over at him with worry as the Griffon fly off with Naruto riding along, as well as the orange-haired huntress-in-training dodge its retaliation with its golden stinger before accidently bumped into Blake and making her fall from destroyed bridge. Maneuvering himself to get on top of the Griffon, Naruto managed to secure himself near the monster's neck before stabbing the side of it several times, and while not enough to fatally ruin the large creature, it put enough force to make it react to the pain and change its flight path.

"Blake!" Naruto shouted out, causing the black-haired girl to turn to see him on top of the Griffon and how it was being steered closer to her.

Reacting quickly, Blake fired her Gambol Shroud at the flying Grimm and managed to stab its blade into the Griffon's side before using her ribbon to swing upwards towards Naruto. The blonde extended his hand outward as Blake did the same, and allowed him to grab onto her hand once she was close enough. Brining onto the Griffon's back, the disguised Faunus recalled her weapon by pulling on the ribbon. "Where did this thing come from?!"

"I think it must've been hiding and waiting for prey to show up. Just our luck." Naruto commented while noticing the Nevermore flying towards them before looking back at Blake, who was holding her katana in one hand and her bladed sheath in the other. "The good thing is that it's not too big so I can take care of it. You help out Ruby and the others take care of the big birdy until I join you!"

"Are you sure you'll be fine on your own?" Blake asked with a worried look, not wanting to lose a teammate that she left alone.

"Don't worry. I'll be fine. Trust me!" Naruto replied with a grin as he looked back at her, before turning his attention back to the incoming Nevermore. "Looks like this is your stop!"

Nodding her head with hesitation still in her eyes, Blake decided to listen to Naruto and focused her attention on the Nevermore as it flew dangerously close over their heads. Using her Clone Semblance several times, Blake used them as stepping stones to get close to the Nevermore before commencing her barrage of attacks. She ran across its back with her weapons in both hands, slashing away at the Grimm until she reached the tail before jumping off, managing to land on the ruined platform at the top of the columns where Ruby, Yang, and Weiss were standing. "That thing's tougher than it looks!"

"Then let's hit it with everything we got!" Yang declared as she readied her Ember Celica, her gaze focusing on Naruto briefly before instantly focusing on the incoming Nevermore, which was coming back around for another assault. She knew that her best friend was going to be alright against the Griffon by himself. It wasn't the first time he had done something that crazy.

With all of them in silent agreement with Yang's words, Blake, Ruby and Weiss copied her in switching their weapons into their long-range modes and fired a barrage of attacks at the incoming Nevermore, only for the beams, bullets and explosive shots to seemingly bounce off the unaffected aerial Grimm. Seeing that it was about to dive-bomb into the columns and platform, the four girls braced themselves as the ruins under them shattered and broke apart easily, before using the falling wreckage to find stable areas to continue the battle. Ruby and Weiss were the first ones to find a stable platform thanks to their usage of Crescent Rose's recoil and Weiss' glyphs respectively, both of them catching sight of Blake using the ribbon with her Gambol Shroud to land on a sturdy pillar before running to the top of it while Yang using the recoil of Ember Celica and her explosive punches to reach a higher bridge that was near their platform.

"None of this is working!" Weiss stated as she watched the Nevermore fly around while getting attacked by Yang's explosive rounds.

Studying the battlefield, Ruby quickly to notice of Blake used her sturdy ribbon to get on a nearby platform before looking up at her sister, and finally towards Naruto in the distance, as he was striking the Griffon he was riding on with his broadsword before jumping off and brining out Kitsune to fly off while the Grimm chased after him, though she could see his head briefly look in their direction as a plan formed in her mind. Turning towards Weiss after a few seconds, the white-haired Heiress saw the serious look on Ruby's face before she spoke up. "I've got an idea! Cover me for a bit!"

(With the Group Fighting the Death Stalker)

"Let's take this thing down!" Jaune exclaimed before he and the others rushed at the screeching Death Stalker waiting for them with its pincers and stingers ready to strike.

As soon as the four where close enough, the Death Stalker instantly attack the closest one with a jab of its large claw, which happened to be Pyrrha as she raised her shield, Akoúo, to deflect the strike before counterattacking with her Miló Xiphos and hitting the area between the Death Stalker's claw and the limb it was attached to. The sudden attack caused the Grimm to retreat back a few feet before attempting to hit Pyrrha with its second claw. But just like before, its attack was blocked as Jaune positioned himself between the massive claw and Pyrrha with his shield raised high, allowing his teammate enough time to slash at one of the ten eyes on its face. Rushing up from behind them with his Stormflower firing a barrage of bullets at the giant scorpion, Ren shortened the distance enough for the Death Stalker lashed out with its golden stinger, to which he sidestepped out of the way before grabbing tightly onto the appendage just before the Grimm recalled it. Adjusting himself as the stinger was lifted into the air, Ren held onto the tail with one hand before he resumed his bombardment while concentrating his shots on the base of the stinger. While he was focusing on the stinger, Jaune and Pyrrha were keeping its claws distracted with Nora coming from behind them and transformed her Warhammer back into a grenade launcher before firing a few rounds at it. Seeing an opening thanks to the force of Nora's grenades, Pyrrha hurled her Miló Javelin at the Death Stalker and managed to pierce one of its larger eyes.

Feeling a sharp pain of losing one of its eyes the Death Stalker roared and started thrashing heavily, including its tail which caused Ren to lose his grip before he was sent crashing hard into one of the nearby stone pillars. Nora snapped her head to look at where her friend and teammate landed in time to see him fall to the ground with a loud grunt, "REN!"

"Damn… Huh?" Jaune muttered to himself as he took noticed the Death Stalker's stinger was barely hanging on its tail thanks to the damage Ren dealt to it, before turning to his redhead teammate. "Pyrrha! Get the stinger!"

Nodding her head as she instantly understood what Jaune's order, Pyrrha reared her shield arm back, "Done!" Almost immediately after saying that, Pyrrha hurled her Akoúo at the Death Stalker, the shield spinning so fast that it cut through the weak base and sent the stinger falling into the scorpion's head, piercing into it as Pyrrha's shield bounced off the pillars behind it before returning to her arm.

"Time to finish it. Nora, nail it!" Jaune commanded, making the orange haired girl nod her head as she charge forward with her Magnhild in its Warhammer form. The blonde turned his head to Pyrrha, who nodded her head as she got into a crouched position with her shield over her head.

"Heads up!" Nora warned as she hopped onto Pyrrha's Akoúo with her hammer under her, before firing against it at the same time Pyrrha leaped into the air. The jump and recoil sent Nora flying high into the air, the girl smiling and laughing the whole time as she reached her height limit before coming back towards the Death Stalker. Changing the position of her hammer once again, Nora used the recoil to increase the speed of her descent and added an extra spin to put more force into her strike as she slammed her Magnhild into the stinger, driving it deep into the scorpion's head while crushing the bridge beneath it. The destruction cause the area where Pyrrha and Jaune were standing to flip them over the dying Death Stalker as the bridge under it started to fall, Nora was quick to follow after them as she fired another shot against the scorpion Grimm and used the recoil to get herself to safety.

Soon the rest of the bridge finished crumbling and gave way, sending the Death Stalker to the foggy gorge below while the Hunters-in-training landed safely on the sturdy earth beyond the bridge… Well, Pyrrha had no problem as she landed in a crouched positon, while Jaune landed hard on his back and Nora lands on her rear with a small bounce. A panting Ren wobbled over to them, letting out a small groan before falling forward in front of Pyrrha and Nora. The others quickly got back to their feet in time to see Naruto ride passed on his hoverboard with the large Griffon chasing after him.

(With Naruto)

"This thing doesn't know when to quit!" Naruto gritted his teeth as he swerved through several pillars while the Griffon chased after him, before turning himself towards the face of the cliff. The Griffon let out a screech as it flapped its wings even harder and picked up speed with its front claws stretched out, to which Naruto dodged the Grimm's attempts to grab him. "So you want a snack, huh? Then how about this?!"

Gripping tightly on his broadsword as he got close to the cliff face, he tilted Kitsune upwards and rode the wall to the side just as the Griffon was just about to grab him. The large monster used its feline-like claws to dig into the rocky surface before crawling after Naruto, who smirked as he spun himself around while his hoverboard was still going in the same direction. Splitting is Rikudou into its Bladed Tonfa mode, the blond spun them downwards and stabbed them into the wall before opening fire, causing rocks and boulders to erupt from underneath him and slam into the Griffon as it got close, sending it flying off the wall and towards some of the ruins. Pulling his weapons out of the rocky surface, Naruto turned himself back around before kicking off the wall and following after the injured Griffon, which managed to readjust itself before letting out a screech. Changing one of his Tonfas into a gun, Naruto opened fire on the Griffon, focusing his shots on the aerial monster's wings as it tried a dive attack before jumping onto its back while collapsing Kitsune.

"You're a tough, stubborn birdie." Once again changing his weapon back into his broadsword form, Naruto had a grin on his face as he began slashing at the Griffon's back while firing combustion rounds at various points, making it thrash around in pain. Adjusting his stance, Naruto pressed a small switch on the hilt of his Rikudou before making his way off of the Griffon, cutting off the monster's tail as he jumped off. "But it's time to end this now, I need to go help my friends with your buddy!"

Still reeling from the pain of losing its tail, the Griffon let out a loud roar as it maneuvered itself with its wings to fly directly towards the falling Naruto with its claws poised to strike and its beak of a mouth wide open. As the Grimm drew closer, the physical appearance of Naruto's weapon started to change as the two bladed halves split apart while still being connected by the hilt, which changed and extended into a large pole. The confident look on Naruto's face didn't even falter as the Griffon's large beak/mouth came closer until it was inches away from his body before crashing into the cliff side with its claws digging into the rock while it appear that it devoured Naruto, much to the horror of a few who saw it, especially when the Griffon pulled its head back to reveal that Naruto's body was gone.

"D-Did Naruto really get eaten?!" Jaune questioned with a look of horror, while the others had disbelief at such a thing happening in front of them.

Only for it to be replaced with confusion as the Griffon to start acting strange seconds later with its body thrashing around even more than before, and then, to their surprise, a large curved blade shot out of the Grimm's chest. The Griffon seemed to try and reach out to grab the blade, only for it to start moving downwards and another curved blade emerged from its chest. This seemed to repeat at a very fast speed as the blades erupted from several points of the Grimm before it let out one final screech as it was sliced in half, revealing a perfectly fine Naruto coming out of the destroyed Grimm while riding his Kitsune.

"Really should've watched what it was eating." Naruto joked as he spun his weapon to his side. His Rikudou had change from a broadsword into what looked like a two-sided scythe that was pointing in opposite directions with gun barrels pointing along the now curved blades. Watching briefly as the remains of the Griffon fell towards the abyss below, Naruto turned his head towards the last, remaining Grimm in the fight.

Yang was seen on top of a pillar firing multiple shots at the giant Nevermore, some of her attacks dealing enough damage to catch its attention as it glided towards her in a dive-bomb pose. It let out a screeched as it got close to the female blonde, which allow Yang to jump into its maw and forcefully keep its beak open before firing round after round into the bird Grimm's mouth. "I! Hope! You're! Hung-ry!"

Glancing behind her quickly to see that the Nevermore was getting close to the wall of the cliff, she released her grip before jumping out of the mouth as she caught sight of Naruto soaring through the air on his hoverboard, stretching out an arm as he approached. The young Ozpin grabbed her hand tightly as he flew by, moving away from the Nevermore as it crashed into the rocky wall. Naruto and Yang shared a smirk as the former spoke up in a goofy polite manner, the two hovering over a ruin platform a few yard from the Nevermore. "Need a lift ma'am?"

"Why thank you, Whiskers." Yang replied with a similar tone before pointing to where Blake and Ruby were standing, while Weiss glided passed them and jumped towards the Nevermore, stabbing the tip of her rapier into its tail before it could take flight and freezing it in place. "Get me over there."

"Roger." Naruto nodded his head as he flew over to the opposite pillar that Blake was standing, allowing Yang to jump off before moving down to Ruby's level. "I'm guessing you're going for a slingshot?"

"Right, meet me at the top of the cliff for a Rose Hurricane!" Ruby said, knowing that her fellow pupil would figure out her plan without her saying anything else, making Naruto smirk as he used Kitsune to fly upwards, high above the cliffs before turning himself around to watch Ruby's plan in action. As this was happening, Weiss was returning to the other girls quickly thanks to her glyphs while Blake fired her Gambol Shroud in Pistol Mode over to the Yang on the nearby pillar where the girl caught it and stabbed it into stone. With Blake still holding on to the ribbon, both of Naruto's partners stretched it between the columns as Ruby used her Crescent Rose to land on it, causing it to move the ribbon back towards Weiss, who had summoned a white glyph that quickly turned black to hold onto Ruby and the ribbon as soon as they made contact.

"Of course you would come up with an idea this reckless" Weiss commented as Ruby came to a stop next to her.

"Combat rule number 5… Think you can make the shot?" Ruby asked while not taking her eyes off the struggling Nevermore trying to free itself from the ice, not noticing the confused look Weiss sent her at the younger girl's first comment.

"Hmph. Can I?" Weiss countered with a confident grin.

Now Ruby was a little confused at Weiss' words as she turned to look at her partner, "… Can-"

"Of course I can! You just do your part!" Weiss interrupted with an irritated look.

"No problem."

Ruby smile confidently as she looked back at the Nevermore. With the glyph behind Ruby turning red, Weiss lauched the Scythe user at the trapped Grimm, with Ruby using the recoil of repetitively pressing Crescent Rose's trigger to increase her speed even more. The Nevermore was taken by surprise at the amount of force hitting it as Ruby caught its neck with her scythe's blade before slamming the two of them against the cliff's wall. Weiss wasn't done as she summoned a row of glyphs that led to the very top of the cliff where Naruto was positioned, allowing a yelling Ruby to stick to the wall as she ran up with the use of her Speed Semblance and firing several rounds with each step. As Ruby was getting closer, Naruto tilted Kitsune down and started heading towards the fast approaching Ruby with his double-bladed Scythe ready to strike, before meeting her in the middle by slamming one of his curved blades in the back of the Nevermore's neck. The two pupils of Qrow shared a brief glance at one another before they started to use more power of their Semblances, and to the surprise of most of the Hunters-in-training watching them, started spinning around the upper part of the Nevermore's body.

"ROSE HURRICANE!" Both Naruto and Ruby's voices called out as the spinning continued with rose petals trailing behind Ruby while strong gusts of wind followed Naruto, and soon a tornado of rose petals formed around the Nevermore's head for a couple of seconds before the twister burst to reveal two familiar red and orange figures in after-strike poses high above the now decapitated Nevermore. As the headless corpse started to fall towards the ruins and the foggy void that its fellow Creatures of Grimm had fallen into as well, Ruby landed on the cliff's edge while Naruto hovered behind her.

"… Wow…" That was all Jaune could say as he and the rest watched the lifeless Nevermore fall.

Turning their heads to look at each other, both of them had large grins on their faces before raising their hands to do a fist bump. "Great job, Ruby."

"Hehe, thanks Naruto! I'm just glad everything worked out." Ruby said as the two turned they attention to the ruins below where the Nevermore's headless body disappeared into the fog, before focusing their attention on the rest of the group staring back up at them. "… But you were right before. About working with others and utilizing teamwork is essential to being a Huntress. There's no way that I could've done this by myself. All those things that Dad, and even Uncle Qrow, taught us about teamwork was important after all."

The girl was caught off guard as she felt a hand place itself on top of her head and looked up to see that Naruto was now standing on the cliff with her and looking at her with a warm smile as he rubbed Ruby's head, "I'm glad to hear you say that. Looks like you're growing up just fine after all."

A small blush formed on Ruby's face as she reached up and softly brushed Naruto's hand away, turning away from him with crossed arms before speaking up. "I could've told you that."

"Well… that was a thing." Yang commented as she, Blake and Weiss stared up at Naruto and Ruby standing at the edge of the cliff.

Blake looked over at Yang with a raised eyebrow, "A thing? Really?"

"What would you call it?" Yang replied as the buxom blonde shrugged her shoulders.

"Anything other than just a thing, we did just fight for our lives." This time it was Weiss who answered as she sheathed her Myrtenaster before letting out a relieved sigh at how they didn't need to fight anymore. "So now we just need to somehow get up to the top of the cliff."

"That shouldn't be too hard for you after the battles you've endured." All three girls let out an alarmed shout at the sudden, new voice that spoke up behind them and spun around to see a smiling Sharon standing there. The maid/Huntress bowed her head at the three, "Greeting you three, congratulations on completing the Initiation."

"Sharon! What the heck are you doing here? And why do you keep sneaking up on people?!" Yang shouted while angrily shaking her arms in the air.

Tilting her head to the side with the smile still on her face, Sharon let out a giggle before speaking. "Well, I am one of the Professors that is watching over the student until the Initiations are finished. In fact, your groups are actions some of the last students to finish."

"Really, but there were still relic located at the temple." Blake spoke up as she tried to figure out how the woman managed to sneak up on her once again without being detected, while noticing a twitch of Yang's eyebrow at her last question being ignored.

"Unfortunately they will not be collected by anyone else," A solemn look replaced the smile on Sharon's face as she closed her eyes and bowed her head lightly, "Quite a few students didn't survive their encounters with the Grimm residing in the forest. In fact, I am on my way to meet up with the recovery teams when I crossed paths with you."

"So there were more dead guys then the person we found earlier… that really sucks." Yang muttered to herself while similar expressions were seen on Blake and Weiss' faces.

Clearing her throat to get the three girls' attentions, Sharon looked at them with a serious expression. "That is one of the risks when pursuing the life and career of a Huntress. As you keep moving forward in your time at Beacon, never forget what you've seen, the things you'll experience, and the emotions you'll feel. They will help you come a long way in the years to come and push you to survive any encounter you will face."

"Yes, Ma'am/Professor Krueger/Sharon." Blake, Weiss and Yang said as the same time.

"Good. Now then, you are all still in the middle of your initiation. I must be off." Bowing her head one last time, Sharon spun herself around and started running along the remains of the ruins, surprising everyone at how agile and graceful she was despite the incredible speed she was going. The maid/Huntress leaped across the gorge and landed near Jaune and the others, addressing them with a head nod before continuing towards the forest.

"Whoa. Every time I see her, I always think of how much of a badass maid Sharon is!" Yang stated with a grin before looking at the two on either side of her, "You heard her, let's finish this thing up and get up that cliff! Knowing Whiskers, he probably saw Sharon and is wondering why she's here."

Nodding their head in agreement, Blake and Weiss started helping Yang look for a way up the cliff as they waited for the others to make it across the destroyed bridge. As they were looking, a though came to Weiss as she glanced up at Naruto and Ruby, who were still at the top of the cliff looking for some way to help everyone at the bottom, before turning her head to look at Yang. "So what exactly are these rule things that Ruby kept mentioning earlier?"

"Oh, those? Well, you see, both Whiskers and Ruby trained under my Uncle Qrow. During his combat lessons, he created a small list of rules to follow when in battle. Nothing too extreme or noble, just small stuff that he's always believed in when it comes to fighting." Yang explained before letting out a chuckle as she actually agreed with some of his crazy rules.

"Those were the things that you two were talking about when we were fighting the packs of Beowulves." Blake recalled.

"Okay, so what is rule number five?" Weiss asked as she recalled Ruby mentioning it just before being launched at the Nevermore.

"When in doubt on how to take down an enemy… do something crazy and unpredictable!"

Silence fell on the two after hearing Yang's answer and the laughter to follow, until Weiss let out a heavy sigh while bringing a hand to her forehead. "I am very worried about my life at Beacon for the years… and my sanity."

(Later that Day)

"Russel Thrush, Cardin Winchester, Dove Bronzewing, and finally, Sky Lark." Ozpin started as he stared at the four young men standing across from him on stage with their hands behind their backs as a round of applause echoed throughout the assembly room, while over their heads there was a giant screen that the images of the four with the first letters of their names under them. "The four of you retrieved the Black Bishop Pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as… Team CRDL (Cardinal). And you will be led by... Cardin Winchester!"

With the Beacon Academy Initiation finished, Ozpin and the other Professors had gathered all of the new students together to announce which groups were going to be formed into what teams. Most of the First Years where standing at the lower levels of the assembly hall, while faculty members and older students were situated above in the higher floors to get a good look at Beacon Academy's fresh blood. Several students were called up to the stage to join Ozpin, where he announce the formation of the teams, revealing that each group were chosen based on the Chess Pieces that were retrieved and the color.

"Jaune Arc. Lie Ren. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie." Ozpin called out over the clapping as the Team CRDL made their way off the stage as the four replaced them in front of the Headmast while their faces appeared on the screen above them. "The four of you retrieved the White Rook Pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as… Team JNPR (Juniper)." The audience once again started clapping at Ozpin's declaration, while on the stage, Nora let out an excited laugh before bringing a surprised Ren into a tight hug as Pyrrha smiled at the two. Ozpin wasn't finished as he made one final announcement for the group, "Which will be led by... Jaune Arc!"

"Huh?!" A look of shock formed Jaune's face as he pointed at himself, "L-Led by...?"

"Congratulations, young man." Ozpin praised him with small smile.

A dumbfounded Jaune could only stutter as he tried to process what he had just heard, until a grinning Pyrrha landed a friendly, congratulatory punch against his shoulder that had a little too much strength behind it and sent him onto his rear. A good amount of people in the audience started laughing at the sight, causing Pyrrha to flash her partner a sheepish, apologetic before helping him up. The four soon left the stage after helping Jaune back to his feet, passing by the final group of students to be made into a team, surprising some in the crowd at the fact that there were five of them instead of the usual four.

"And the final team… Blake Belladonna. Naruto Ozpin. Ruby Rose. Weiss Schnee. Yang Xiao Long." More murmurs stretched throughout the audience at the mention of Naruto's name, some wondering if there was a connection between him and the Headmaster. Ignoring the conversations, Ozpin looked at all five students in front of him with the same amount of professionalism he had shown the others, even as the man felt pride while glancing briefly at his son standing between Blake and Yang. "The five of you retrieved the White knight pieces. Despite the odd numbers of student in your team, you all fulfilled the requirements that had laid out before the Initiation began. From this day forward, the five of you will work together as… Team RYBWN (Ribbon). Your team will be led by… Ruby Rose!"

As everyone in the audience started to applaud the newly formed team, a shocked Weiss looked over at her partner, who had a surprised look on her face as Ozpin's word. Part of her had believe that Naruto was going to be made the leader, not because he was Ozpin's son, but because the older teen was stronger and had more experience than she did. Ruby was cut off from her thoughts as Yang wrapped her arms around the black/red headed girl, "I'm so proud of you!"

"Congratulation, Ruby!" Naruto spoke up as he walked up to the girl and patted her on the shoulder while Yang continued to hug her, "I look forward to working with you, Miss Leader."

"Y-Yeah," Ruby replied as her sister finally let go of her and turn to look at the only male member of the team. "… Me to-!?"

The girl was cut off guard as Naruto suddenly moved his hands to her cheeks and started pulling on them, "Come on, Ruby! Smile more!"

"Ah, agh, Wyet gwo Nwato!" Laughter started to mix in with the applause coming from the audience as they watched the young leader wave her hands frantically as her male teammate messed around with her. This increased even more as Yang decided to join in since it was her right to as an older sister, making Weiss let out an exhausted sigh at the scene while Blake grew an amused smirk. "Swob Ylag! Nwot fo wooo~!

Watching the five as the ceremony came to an end, Ozpin focused his gaze on Naruto and Ruby with one last sentence leaving his lips, "Looks like things are shaping up to be an… interesting year."

RYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWNRYBWN

And with that, the Initiation Ceremony is finished and Team RYBWN is born. The next chapter will focus on the group's first experiences at Beacon that will include more than just what happens between Ruby and Weiss, and maybe go into the episodes involving Jaune. I'm sure that some of you have things to say about the final form of Naruto's Rikudou being a Two-Sided Scythe, but I wanted it to be something unique and yet still tie into him being Qrow's pupil, it was because of my desire for originality that I decided to go with a different team name instead of slightly modifying the word RWBY. Also, I am positive there will be some complaints or questions as to why Ruby acted different when it came to battle and why she was still made the leader of Team RYBWN. To the first thing, unlike the original series where she learned how to fight from Qrow, in this story, she learned a lot more thanks to Naruto being a fellow student and pushing his Master to teach Ruby about survival training and such. And as for the second thing, I will be going into that in the next chapter, so please be patient. Like always with all of my works be sure to leave some nice reviews, but remember that all flames and insults will be IGNORED, so don't bother writing them.

A/N: The next story I will be working on is Golden Devil and then Dhampir of Yokai Academy.

A/N 2: Lately I've been wanting to see what it would look if one of my stories was written with that Reading/Watching Genre that been getting very popular lately. I don't know who would be interested in doing it with one of mine, but I really want someone could give it a try.

Until Next Time! And HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY, RUBY ROSE!
