OK so I decided to write a new fanfic and I don't know how this one is gonna turn out. It might turn out good or it might turn put bad depending on what happens. But otherwise I hope you enjoy it. Revised on July 25, 2020

Chapter 1:

It was Azami's first day at Cross Academy and she wasn't looking forward to it like any other person would. She was a student to the night class and knowing the fact that there would be other vampires there she didn't like it. She didn't want to be around anyone of her kind because they were insufferably egotistical. Azami was more of a lone wolf because of others. The solitude of being with oneself was more favorable than being with others.

Keiko stared up at the looming building before her. Her luggage sat before her while she took out her phone to make sure she was on time to meet the principal of the establishment. As she walked into the front gate and to the headmaster's office she saw the day class students surrounding the night class students' dorm. It appeared they were in the middle of the class switch, a fact that was shared by the headmaster himself. She walked past, not wanting to be noticed by either class, as quietly as she could. But as she continued to walk she felt a cold pair of eyes watching her. The gaze felt familiar, but she knew she couldn't dwell on it seeing as she was needed in another place.

When she got to the headmasters office he was sitting at his desk, scanning through his paperwork and sighing at the stack.

Upon hearing the door open he looked up and noticed the long waited arrival of his new student.

"Miss Kuramoto. Such a pleasant surprise to see you."

"Hello Headmaster. How are you today?" she said politely, exactly how she was taught as a kid.

"I am fine. I would like to thank you for joining Cross Academy on such short notice." The headmaster placed his paperwork back on the desk and folded his hands above them.

"It's fine. I wasn't doing anything interesting so this will be a good change I think."

But it wasn't. She didn't want to have anything to do with other people. But she couldn't deny that she wanted to meet this so called Zero Kiryu, the human-turned-vampire who is on the verge of turning into a level E. She found his specific condition very fascinating. Azami had never known a person that resisted becoming a level E because it was difficult unless they had their creators blood or another pureblood's blood. It was too strange and fascinating to pass up.

"That's good. Now, to get down to business. I have told you of what recently happened with Zero Kiryu and my daughter. And you know that Kaname Kuran is here. Kaname is powerful but he can't do everything by himself, and Zero's condition is uncertain at a time like this..."

"So you want me here as another security guard..."

"To put it simply, yes. With Shizuka Hio's death being fairly recent there are going to be others in search for the person who killed her. I know that Zero is innocent but in the eyes of others he is not."

Azami looked at the headmaster with eyes narrowed in thought.

"I will try to help the best I can but I can't promise with certainty that I could be of much help in this matter."

"Talk to Kaname if you can. He will have to fill you in on things involving the night class."

Azami's face hardened. It had been a while since she talked to Kaname and they weren't really on speaking terms from what she could recall.

"Alright," she forced out through a small opening in her mouth.

"Good. I won't show you around for obvious reasons. I hope your stay here will be more than your expectations!"

The seriousness in his voice vanished as a brightening smile plastered itself onto his face. Azami sighed at his antics. It made her feel relieved that after all this time he was still the same.

Her father helped him build this academy. It was on of her father's passions when he was alive. She as glad that her father was friends with good people like the headmaster, but the thought made her sour and bitter.

Just because you have good people around you doesn't mean someone doesn't want to kill you...

"Alright headmaster, good night."

She stood and gave a slight bow in farewell and left the headmaster's office. There was an eery silence in the halls as she continued walking the only audible noise coming from her flats. She took a step outside and noticed the lack of sun in the horizon and stood to admire the night air and the moonlight that touched her cold, vampire skin. It was the most loveliest time of the day for her, for any vampire. Because it was the time of day where creatures like her could move about without watchful eyes at every corner. The perfect time for a beast like her.

She continued walking to the moon dorm with the thought of the pureblood who was most likely waiting for her arrival. She sensed a presence as she got closer to the dormitory and soon saw the person she was dreading to see after so long.

"Hello Miss Kuramoto."

Azami noticed the lack of elation in his greetings towards her. But she didn't mind, she wasn't ecstatic to be seeing him either.

"Hello. Please call me Azami. You don't have to be formal with me."

"Ok, Azami. Welcome to Cross Academy. I hope you will be comfortable at our school."

"Thank you."

"If you would like, I can show you to your room?"

"Of course, I would be very grateful."

Kaname turned towards the door and led Azami to the room that she would be occupying. The atmosphere was tense as they walked, the silence uncomfortable as none of them wanted to speak. Both knew it would have been too awkward to speak to each other because they both held past memories of each other.

The two vampires soon stopped outside of a door on the third floor. Azami awkwardly thanked him, receiving an equally awkward you're welcome as well.

Her fist let go of the suitcase that she carried with her, the little stuff she had being light enough to carry, and walked over to her bed. It looked soft as well as comfortable, the most suitable for an aristocrat vampire. She laid on her bed and closed her. She was tired to say the least. Traveling was never her strong suit but she was used to it. Her lids became heavy as she laid there, excluded from the nights classes because of her arrival and content with being by herself for the night and she soon fell asleep into a world without dreams.

So I decided to revise this whole story because it's genuinely bad. So please be patient until I revise all of it. It won't make any sense because as I'm revising I will change a lot of stuff and I will not be done within a week most likely. So please be patient and thank you for reading. BYE ^_^
