This is C.C.'s chapter, prepare for angst, amusement, and fluff, oh so much fluff. Not bad for an insomnia chapter if I say so myself.

"It's a pleasure to meet you C.C.," Lelouch said with a smile and a bow, his sister curtsied at the same moment and the immortal could not help feeling slightly amused at their antics.

"I assure you the pleasure is all mine. So...where do we go from here?"

Euphemia sighed, "That is the question now is it not? I admit this was not, shall we say part of our over arching plans."

Lelouch shot her a glance while drawling out, "Yes finding out our brother was a monster on top of being an idiot really had never come up in our machinations did it?"

Euphemia shook her head quickly, "Perhaps being a pedophile, maybe, being a closet gay, on occasion, torturing immortal beings in the most crude method of reverse engineering genetics has ever seen? No, no that never really fit into the grand scheme of things."

Lelouch sighed at that, "The pedophilia would have been disgusting but I would be able to get over it long enough to make Clovis disappear, the gay thing would not have even mattered at all considering at least a third of our family is bisexual and my favorite brother has been in a gay relationship since...forever. This is new though..."

C.C. spoke up at that point, "Do you two do this often?"

The siblings started in surprise as they turned their attention back to her, "Do what?" They echoed causing C.C. to smile ever so slightly, "Go off onto complete tangents and just continue to feed each others rhetoric until someone interrupts you?"

They both blushed as Lelouch coughed into his hand and Euphemia muttered, "Umm... Yes... Our significant others tease us about it often."

Trying to retake control of the situation Lelouch reached into a pocket and pulled out his mobile, "Speaking of which they should be back from debriefing Jeremiah on his mission in a few minutes."

Meeting C.C.'s gaze evenly he continued on with, "I hope you don't mind but I really did not feel like cooking today and I would rather the servants not know about your existence at this time, so I asked my girlfriend to pick up a few pizzas."

"It's kind of our groups comfort food," Euphemia stated with a nod, C.C.'s eyes widened as she clasped her hands before herself as if praying, while emitting a squeeing noise of absolute joy at this announcement.

"Oh my god that is so freaking adorable," Lelouch muttered so only his sister could hear him.

"I know right?" Euphemia replied eyes wide trying her best not to let out a laugh.

They soon approached C.C. and helped her out of her bed while Lohengrin hopped to the floor and circled around them in a protective manner, showing her to the loo they waited for her to go through her ablutions and soon led her to their family dining room.

Its counterpart back at the Viceroy's Palace was cold, pristine, and very aristocratic, this room though was lived in, a dart board on the wall, a couple arcade games and a pinball machine in the corners, various forgotten about personal effects scattered about the area, all with a lingering scent of cognac tinged tobacco smoke wafting through the air.

This was a room that was lived in, simple as that.

Seating C.C. Lelouch grabbed a bottle of soda from the fridge and broke out the red plastic cups filling five of them and as he took his own seat the door flew open allowing Kallen and Suzaku's entrance.

"I'm just saying that it's incredibly convenient that we ran into the most lax JLF cell we have ever encountered on a whim. I'm not disputing that it's a good thing it's just-"

"-Stupid I know that Suzu but you have to remember these idiots have been basically left to their own devices for years. We've been waging war since before puberty was a thing and haven't stopped since. What we consider to be standard operating procedure doesn't even occur to them, it's why we won and they continue to lose."

The redhead stopped speaking as she noticed the gathering at the families dining table and grinned as she hefted her stack of pizzas, "Hey guys, hope everyone is hungry!"

C.C. was on Cloud 9, years, literal years of torture and pain were ended abruptely and she now found herself in the presence of four very entertaining nobles who plied her with pizza and pop.

She felt darkly amused that they had managed to earn more of her trust in four minutes then Clovis did in four years, irony at its best.

"So C.C. allow me to introduce to you my girlfriend, and if her father stops being so damn hard headed future fiance Kallen Stadtfeld."

The redhead was sipping from her soda at that moment so she just waved sheepishly, C.C. smiled in return and gave her a nod, the woman had after all brought her God's chosen food so being polite was acceptable.

Euphemia continued from there, "And this is my boyfriend Suzaku Kururugi, he's technically in charge of Tokyo but we leave most of the logistics to the bureaucrats unless there is a massive discrepancy."

Soldiers realizing they were only soldiers and accepting that, how...novel.

"It is a pleasure to meet you both," she really did not know what to say beyond that, she had not actually interacted with anyone who did not immediately disgust her in years after all.

To the immortals complete and utter surprise she was not questioned, she was just another member of what she was now calling the Pizza Party as they discussed tracking down a terrorist cell and how disgusted they were with how their enemies were dealing with the fact.

"This is just ridiculous," Lelouch stated while leaning back into his chair while his sister leaned over and picked up the report their significant others had brought them.

"It's been 72 hours and they still haven't noticed the GPS tag on the frame? I...how?"

Suzaku shook his head slowly at that, "I have no idea but the thing has been pinging in the Narita mountains for the past seven hours and hasn't moved since so the Viceroy sent out Lord Jeremiah's team. Low and behold signs of a massive dug in military facility which will only mean one thing."

"War," Euphemia muttered as she scowled at the documents in her hands.

Lelouch sighed and shook his head, "Nothing for it. Quite literally, it's getting late and we have no control over the situation so I suggest we get some sleep and deal with what comes in the morning, C.C. would you like an escort back to your room?"

The now pizza stuffed immortal paused a moment then nodded, Lelouch and Kallen stood up and eventually led her back to her room, "Our room is the one directly to the left of yours, if you get confused you'll figure it out quick enough considering the room on the right is a utility closet." Kallen stated this with a note of amusement as C.C. nodded and entered her room without further word.

After changing into pajamas she lay in bed for about a half hour then let out a frustrated sigh, leaving the room she paused and thought about her actions and felt a conflict forming in her mind.

Comfort.

That was what she wanted more than anything, so she drew in a breath and approached Lelouch's door and opened it, soon noticing two laser dots on her chest, following their paths back to the couple in bed they sheepishly dropped their pistols to the side which honestly made her smile.

Properly paranoid, crazy prepared, as they should be.

"C.C., what's wrong?" Lelouch asked, and in a moment of insanity, or thus she would claim later on, the immortal witch jumped into bed between them while pulling the blanket over their exposed forms.

"Cold..."

The still groggy pair blinked at her a few times before shrugging, weirder things had happened to them, and soon they fell back to sleep.

At some point in the night C.C. was cuddled by both Lelouch and Kallen, with the overprotective Lohengrin sleeping at her feet and even in her sleep she couldn't help smiling.

It was the first time in centuries that the immortal witch felt well and truly safe.

A bit sappy, but C.C. deserves to feel some love after all the shit she has gone through.
