What´s up, my awesome readers! Daverocks reporting for duty after a hell LOT of time!

I know that at this point I no longer have your trust to show that this cursed long pauses before the next chapter are over.

However, I´ve tried to prove it showing that in this last three weeks I have published three chapters for my two different stories! So, I will do everything I can to return the hype of these stories back to its full glory or even increase it to the next level!

Many things happened especially regarding my stories in this long time of inactivity. I love what I write, but sometimes there are some comments from you, my awesome readers, made me reconsider a lot about how this story was going and where I planned to take it. It made me think a lot about why I did this story in the first place.

Just as I said in my story Plug-in, SpiderManEXE! I now truly found out why: Because these stories are part of my life! They were my concept, they are my hobbies, and they will be part of my legacy! And I wouldn´t ask it any other way!

So, without further delay, let´s get on with the story, baby!

Night Raid Hideout - Morning - Two days after Galen´s outburst

The days went on, and for a while, training and recovering were Night Raid´s top priorities. We could see that with Mine, who was in the thermal waters.

It took her a while since she met that imperial lunatic girl and her monster dog. She could still remember how much pain she had endured… and how she almost lost Sheele in that fight.

She promised herself for that moment to be the last one to be so helpless. After what Galen did to save her friend, she wanted with all her being to do whatever it takes to save her family.

Fortunately for her, it seemed the time to prove herself was now. Doing some last test movement on her arm and hand, she could feel that it no longer was broken and ready to send more imperial trash into oblivion.

"All right!" Mine shouted standing up from the water, with brad new determination showing on her face.

She took no time in dressing herself while running towards the backyard where it was very likely that her team was also training getting ready for future battles. Mine finally arrived at the door leading to it. Opening it, she saw that her assumption was true.

"Excuse me! I need someone to train with!" the pink-haired girl shouted to the bunch of teenagers who looked about to start some training exercise.

"Mine! Just in time! We need you for something!" the cheerful lion beauty who was Leone said grinning at her recently recovered teammate.

"What for?" Mine asked confused suddenly losing the energy she had to exclaim to the four winds for a training partner.

"Lubbock, Galen and Tatsumi were about to start a contest of push-ups, but we needed someone who can put some extra weight on Tatsumi since Spear is with the Boss talking about something" the lioness said casually, but Mine didn't take it too well.

"ARE YOU CALLING ME FAT!?" the pink-haired screeched, gaining sweatdrops from the boys.

"Stop being a princess and sit on top of Tatsumi for his push-ups" Leone said paying no mind at her sudden outburst.

Pumpkin´s user was about to say her mind when she noticed Tatsumi and Lubbock taking of their shirts. Her eyes landed on Tatsumi´s toned upper body while her words got caught on her tongue and her face began heating a little.

"F… fine…" she said still no taking her eyes off one of the newest members.

Leone grinned teasingly as she noticed her partner´s face knowing she wouldn´t deny. Then, she noticed that the Force user only took his jacket off, but not his shirt. She wouldn´t have any of that.

"You can´t do your push-ups like that, Galen" the blonde beauty said almost seriously.

"Why not?" the jedi asked raising an eyebrow.

Leone stood quiet for a few seconds. She didn´t plan the excuse for that question. Suddenly, her lightbulb lit, and her grin came back almost in full force.

"We are going to have a little reconnaissance mission, and that shirt you are wearing are is the only one you have that doesn´t look like you are out to kill someone, right?" she asked him.

"Thank the heavens for my conversation with Boss this morning!" Leone thought expecting that the answer would turn the decision of her future mate, as she considered him.

Galen could see it. Her petition was clearly not for those reasons she just said. On the other hand, Leone was right. His corellian clothes were the only attires that looked civilian enough for him to pass as a normal citizen of Capital City, and recently, the imperial authorities were wearier of any person that looked like he wasn´t from the capital since Night Raid started to gain more attention from the Empire.

He felt that Leone wasn´t lying about the reconnaissance mission in the capital. If he finished training and suddenly wet to the capital, his smell alone would attract a lot of attention, especially if they started thinking that he smelled like some kind of farmer. Any type of thing that made him a target of attention was a danger for him and Night Raid.

Hesitating at first, the jedi grabbed the bottom of his black shirt before lifting it. The scars that were known to the team since Galen explained his story were again showing themselves in full daylight. Some couldn´t help but wince a little at seeing them again. However, to the girls who Galen won their total attention were focused on the rest of him.

"…" Akame stared speechless with a noticeable blush at Galen, and if you watched carefully, you could see a little bit of drool coming out of her mouth like she was looking at a giant steak. Obviously, she didn´t want to eat him… well, she did but not in that way…

"Oh my…" Sheele, who was watching from the wooden terrace close to the door, thought while she kept looking as well while covering her mouth with one hand and her face reddening.

"Me like… me like it so much" Leone was the most noticeable one looking at him blushing and licking her lips like a predator towards his prey.

Guess you could say that years of torturous physical training, assassination and fighting as a one-man-army gave fruits to the body of our favorite jedi in musculature. He had the body of a true warrior.

Galen tried his best to ignore the stares, but the girls made it too difficult for him to succeed. He didn´t need the Force to feel what they were thinking right now, and it made him lose concentration.

"So, can we start with this?" he asked trying to keep on.

Akame was the first to break out of her eye-feasting before she nodded. Noticing that Leone was still looking at him without any shame, she frowned before using the hilt of Murasame and hitting the lioness on the side of the head.

"Whu… what? Oh yeah, training, right" Leone said almost in a robot way. On the inside, she was raging that Akame was the one who was going to sit in top of her "future mate".

The red-eyed girl was thinking of the same thing, smiling internally.

"How are you going to do this with one hand, Galen?" Tatsumi asked curiously.

"Just going to use some Force to sustain my missing arm like it was there. Could help also in my Force training" the jedi said shrugging.

Finally, everyone was in position with Leone on top of Lubbock, Akame on top of Galen, and Mine on top of Tatsumi. And so, the push-ups started.

"You´re doing great guys!" Leone cheered while Lubbock was on his 50th push-up, but her view was solely on Galen who was already on his 106th.

"Come on… I can do this!" Tatsumi was saying between breaths as he was doing better than Lubbock, but not than Galen.

"What´s got you so pumped?" Mine asked looking at her human temporal seat curiously.

"With Incusrio right now… I can barely use its invisibility… for a few seconds… If I want to use it as bro… I need to get… much stronger!" the green-eyed rookie of Night Raid finished push-ups.

Mine was actually surprised at the determination of the boy below her. Her blush came back for a few seconds. To her, he was becoming something admirable.

"What surprises me here is that Lubbock has decided to start working out more as well" the pink-haired said now deadpanned.

Lubbock only smirked while doing his count.

"For now… we are only three boys… so I thought I could… level up my game" he said trying to make himself look cooler. However, the blonde beauty was there to throw it all down the window.

"Big words coming from someone just reaching his 60th push-up" she said teasingly at the green-haired assassin who only scoffed.

"On the other hand, Tatsumi seems to start reaching Galen" she said cheerfully at the green-eyed boy.

Tatsumi took some confidence at that. By now, the three males have started sweating by the heat of the sun and the intense workout. For Galen, it was not only the physical effort, but also Force effort, which took more energy from him.

"That´s to be expected. After all, Leone is heavier than me and Mine´s chest size takes some weight from Tatsumi compared to mine" Akame said like it was the most normal thing in the world.

Both Tatsumi and Lubbock went pale as their jaw´s dropped at the comment. Meanwhile, Galen started to bite his lower lip hard since he didn´t want to show his amuse to the comment.

BAM!

POW!

And suddenly, Galen was on the ground with Akame still sitting on top of him, and both had huge bumps on their heads. Akame was rubbing hers with small tears forming on the corners of her eyes while she looked confused at Leone. Galen, still collapsed on the ground, turned to look at Mine with a vein popping on his forehead.

"Why did you hit me!?" he asked annoyed at Pumpkin´s user.

"Don´t act stupid! I saw your face!" Mine screamed while pointing at him with a vein of her own popping as well.

"I see you´re all having fun" the voice of the Boss made everyone look at her.

Najenda had just gotten out from the door along with Spear. Galen and everyone noticed that the former Prime Minister´s daughter was no longer using the coat that she wore when he met her leaving only the red dress she wore underneath. It was very noticeable that the dress hugged very well her curves and that the coat covered the fair amount of cleavage that Spear had.

Lubbock was seeing Spear´s figure with a stupid grin and some drool coming out of his head before a look at Leone with her fist close to him and a murder look disappeared it. What many noticed was that for some reason she still wore her winter hat.

"You´re going out, Boss?" Tatsumi asked looking that Najenda had a huge backpack behind her with some traveling gear.

"That´s right. I have to personally make sure that the Teigus recovered from the Three Beasts get safely to the Revolutionary Army´s HQ" Najenda said lighting a cigar.

"But it´s not only that. I´m going to ask my superiors if they can afford to give us some talented personnel for our next battles, and of course, so we can finally deal with your missing limb, Galen." she said while exhaling some smoke.

Tatsumi couldn´t help but start feeling down at hearing about getting the new members.

"I´m sorry for being weak…" he said getting everyone´s attention.

"If it wasn´t for me being so helpless, bro would not be in his state. Or worse, if it wasn´t for Galen, he wouldn´t be with us anymore" Tatsumi continued with his fists shaking.

Nobody said anything. Najenda just inhaled one more time from the death stick.

"The Three Beasts… they were the best of the Empire´s offensive. They were subordinates of Esdeath after all. You were against enemies very few in the RA would manage to give them a fight. You´re stronger than you think, Tatsumi. You, Bulat, and Galen saved thousands of lives; not only in the ship but in the Revolutionary Army as well. You did good" the Boss said calmly while looking at the green-eyed boy with a warm expression on her face.

Tatsumi was now fighting hard not to break up right there at her words. Leone took the opportunity to say something.

"I didn´t want to tell you this because I thought it would get over your head, but Bulat said to me once something a while back" the blonde beauty said to him with seriousness and comfort.

Tatsumi looked at her with sadness and curiosity.

"He told me that even if you are new to all this and with a long way to go, he could see the true potential in you. He knows that one day you might become strong enough to even leave him in the dust, and he looks forward to that day. Are you going to let him down?" the lioness said looking at the least experienced but talented member of the team.

"Bro…" Tatsumi muttered looking down with a few tears falling.

Everyone looked at him with sympathy, even Galen. Remembering his position, he tried to move from his collapsed position, and Akame took that as a sign to get off of him. She stood up and offered a hand to the Force user who took it gratefully with a groan. When he finally stood as well, he noticed that now Spear was watching him with a huge blush on her face, but that face turned to one of horror when she noticed the multiple scars on his skin.

The jedi gave her a firm yet gentle look that told her that now was not the moment to comment about it, to which the beautiful former Prime Minister´s daughter hesitantly nodded.

"Boss" Galen called, making Najenda look at him curiously.

"What is it, Galen?" she asked.

"Can you wait here a little before you leave? I want to ask you about something I found in the woods" he asked her; making her curiosity rise even further.

What did Galen find for it to be so important to ask her about it?

"Very well, I´ll wait" she said nodding.

Everyone else was just as lost as their Boss, but didn´t say anything as they saw the jedi re-enter the hideout.

"Do you know what he´s talking about?" Lubbock asked both Tatsumi and Leone who both shook their heads.

A minute later, Galen came back to the yard with what appeared to be some kind of ball covered in white fur over his arm and leaning on his chest. They couldn´t identify what it was.

"Come one little guy, show yourself. Don´t be scared" the jedi whispered calmly to

Suddenly, two pointy ears showed from behind the thing before something lifted from behind it. Now the tail showed itself as it was surrounding the whole creature making it look like a sphere. Finally, the creature turned to show it´s fox face to everyone present.

"OH MY GOD! IT´S SO CUUUUUUUUTE!" Sheele said with sparks on her eyes with Mine and Spear doing the same.

"I WANNA HUG IT EVERY SECOND UNTIL I DIE!" Mine said totally out of character.

Akame, being Akame, wondered what fox meat tasted like. Leone also thought the baby white fox was cute, but she had a little uncertainty since canine animals were not her favorites. However, Najenda had a shocked expression all over her face.

"You… you found a Waldblitz Fox!?" Najenda said not taking her eyes of the baby beast as if it was some kind of illusion.

Galen, along with the rest, where surprised at their Boss´ reaction. He had kept him in his room without anyone noticing and secretly bringing him part of his meal so he could feed him up until the time came to show it to everyone else.

"Is it bad that I did…?" Galen asked not sure about what was all the commotion about.

"Bad!? Galen, what you have there is the fastest and best tracker danger beast in the known world!" Najenda said now looking at the jedi in the eyes with the shock still on her face.

"Wait what?" he asked now being him the curious.

The Boss recovered some composure, but her sudden reaction was still evident on her face.

"The Waldblitz Foxes are a very rare species, and yet, imperial ancient studies mark that they are a species discovered just one century ago. Nobody knows where they came from or from; we don´t even know what´s their natural habitat. What makes this species so special, however is that they are considered the best wild hunters in the animalia kingdom. Their adult size tends to be bigger than even any wolf danger beast known to mankind, and that´s only the tip of the iceberg. These creatures are insanely speed; fast enough to put the top imperial assassins to shame. However, what makes them the top of the terrestrial food chain is their ability to track their prey anywhere in the world, no matter how far they are or how well hidden they are. Normally, if a person is unfortunate enough to be targeted by a Waldblitz Fox, they end up dead before they even realize it" Najenda explained to the group who now, except for Galen, were almost as shocked as she was when the Force user showed up with the currently small creature.

"I knew you were special the moment you escaped from my rampage. You would have succeeded if it wasn´t you hurting your leg" the jedi thought cringing slightly at remembering his violent scene.

The fox seemed to feel Galen´s ashamed emotion because it looked at him before licking his forearm.

"Galen, there is no record of someone ever capturing a Waldblitz Fox alive; not even a pup. How did you do it?" Najenda asked between a serious and an awed expression.

"I… found him with his leg injured in the woods. I guess my Force makes helps me emit better my intentions to the beasts" he said shrugging with a little insecurity with what he said.

Najenda took notice at the uncertainty on his words but decided not to give too much thought to it.

"What I wanted to ask you at first was if the RA could take care of it and even train him to help against the Empire" he asked his Boss, who looked at him again in shock, but the shock soon turned to a sigh.

"I´m sorry, Galen. It´s very admirable for you to offer this magnificent creature to the HQ, but our knowledge of their loyalty is close to nothing. If you truly want it to have a place in our army, you have to bee the one to raise it. We can´t risk it escaping the moment it feels in an unknown environment. The moment it escapes, we won´t be able to find it again" she said giving a hopeful smile to the Force user.

Galen, deep down, knew that her answer was an expected one. He needed to use the Force to get this animal´s trust; something which was apparently alien in this world. He was not ready to be responsible of the care of this creature, but apparently, he was the only one who could do it. Besides, he knew the fox was on his own, and it was a sentiment he was very familiar with.

The jedi looked at Najenda before nodding, to which Najenda showed him a grateful smile. She really would love to have a creature like that on their side, it would benefit them in so many ways.

"Well, I better get going now. Akame, you´re in charge while I´m gone. Standing orders are: train until I get back" Najenda said with her usual toothy smile.

"Understood" Akame responded almost automatically.

"Can we leave the whimsical at charge?" Tatsumi asked Lubbock in a low voice.

"Don´t worry, when Akame receives orders, she follows them to the letter" the green-heired boyy replied back.

"Be ready, everyone. Things will get more complicated from now on" Najenda said seriously, to which everyone responded with a nod and the same expression on their faces.

"Oh, and good luck in your recon mission in two days" she said while walking away.

With that said, Najenda parted.

Everyone looked at their boss leave until she was out of sight. Then, Galen turned with a very annoyed look towards Leone.

"You said that the recon mission was today" he said in a low yet dangerous voice which made Lubbock and Tatsumi back away a little.

The lioness beauty turned to him and winked with a cat-like smile.

"Did I?" she asked.

The jedi was about to answer until his words were caught inside his mouth. She actually didn´t say anything about the reconnaissance being that same day; she just said they had one.

Galen cursed through his teeth, which made Leone snicker.

Night Raid Hideout - Afternoon – 6 hours after Najenda left

Galen was alone in his bedroom while sitting on the only chair present in the room while looking at the fox sitting on his bed while scratching one of its ears. It was Tatsumi´s turn to help Akame in the kitchen. Lubbock was checking the wire traps he has left all around the hideout, Leone was doing something unknown to the jedi but he knew she wasn´t trying to enter his room because of his little furry friend, and Mine was talking with Sheele in her room.

Besides, the team agreed that after the training Galen could use his free time to bond more with the fox if he was to train and take care of it. So, here he was not knowing how to even start.

"Well, I guess we´re stuck together now, eh?" Galen said with his head leaning on his hand because the elbow was on the chair´s arm.

The fox looked at him before tilting its head sideways in confusion. The jedi chuckled.

"Guess we are. Alright, first things first. I can´t keep calling you "little guy", so we can start with that. What will be your name?" he said with his thumb rubbing underneath his chin.

Several minutes passed, both looking at each other. Galen was still coming up with several names, yet none of them seemed proper to him.

"Wait, do I even know what sex you are?" he asked asked more to himself with a deadpanned expression.

He facepalmed hard. How could he come up with a name for something who´s gender was still a mystery to him? He didn´t want to just lift its legs and see; even if it was just a fox, it was still awkward. Then, he came up with an idea. Slowly approaching his hand, he reached for the Waldblitz Fox. The fox was curious about his actions until he reached its belly and started scratching gently. Little by little, the fox let itself feel the pleasure of being scratched and fell full-body on the bed. The little creature wanted more of it, so he turned its body over its back leaving it exposed to from the inferior area.

"Well, it seems you´re a female. Now with that out of the way, back to making names on my head" the jedi said still scratching the belly.

Thinking about how he met the fox. He remembered how he managed to gain its trust even after chasing it around half the forest to kill it just for some sick satisfaction. Suddenly, he thought of Kota, and about how even after he left him blind and left him for dead the old jedi never lost faith that he would abandon the dark side.

"Why couldn´t you be male…? Kota would have fitted you just fine…" he muttered before sighing.

Then, there was a knock on his door, making Galen look at it while stop scratching the fox who made a cute whine of complaint for that.

"Who is it?" the young jedi asked.

"It´s Spear… can I come in?" the voice of the blonde blue-eyed came from the other side.

Galen was surprised at first, but then he frowned thinking he knew what probably she would want. It was to talk about the scars she saw during training.

He wasn´t too comfortable about talking about his detailed experiences about how he got each scar, and he remembered how he got most of them. Yet, something about Spear didn´t want tell her to go do something else.

"It´s unlocked" he said.

Slowly, the door opened, revealing the gorgeous daughter of the former prime minister still wearing the clothes she had in the morning, but the hat was gone; revealing her smooth blonde hair falling down all the way to her waist. She looked shy right now, as if not knowing what to do. However, she knew how to start.

"How are you doing with you Waldblitz Fox?" she asked looking at the ground with her hands behind her back.

Galen blinked at that but decided to satisfy her question.

"Very well, I guess. Just found out she´s a female and now I´m trying to come up with a name for her" he said turning to look at the Fox.

"Oh… and do you have any ideas for it?" she asked gaining some emotion of security during that question.

The jedi ruffled with his short hair.

"Not even one" he said disappointed.

"And… have you thought of something that represents something to you?" she asked while walking towards him.

"Nothing seems to stick out from my personal experiences" he said with a sigh.

"Oh, that´s a shame" she said still a little shy now close enough to talk pleasantly.

Galen was still seeing that something was different about her since she entered his room, and he knew what she was thinking about, so he decided to get it over with.

"Do you want to sit?" he said gesturing towards his bed as he saw that she was still standing.

The blonde blue-eyed girl looked surprised at his offer.

"It doesn´t bother you?" she asked with her cheeks a little red.

"Not at all, if you want, just sit" he said shrugging.

Spear hesitated before she nodded and did as he said.

"Now, Spear. Tell me what´s bothering you" he said looking at her in the eyes.

Spear´s eyes widened before she looked at the ground unsure about what to say.

"I… uh… I want to…" she tried to say and yet she was failing in finding the proper words.

"It´s about my scars, right?" he asked simply.

Spear didn´t dare to look at him as she slowly nodded, to which the jedi took a sigh.

"You know what happened to me as I grew up, Spear. The things Vader and the Galactic Empire put me through as their puppet. These scars are just the evidence of that" he said reviewing the painful memories on his head.

"Can I… see them?" she asked still looking at the ground.

Galen didn't expect that request at all. He didn´t want them to see more how messed up his body was due to the marks of his past.

"Please" this time, Spear requested looking at his eyes with her blue sky ones. He saw the begging behind her beautiful orbs, and he was lost on them.

He didn´t know what, but something moved him to nod his head and accept her request. Slowly lifting up his black shirt again, he exposed the mess his body was thanks to the unfortunate events his life had to pass through.

Spear just looked at them with several emotions; sadness, fear, anger, and even fascination. These were the marks of someone who traveled through the very gates of hell.

She unconsciously and slowly tried to touch one with her fingers but came to her senses when she saw Galen slightly backing away from her attempt of tact. She looked at him in the eyes, but this time, the jedi turned away the look still not wanting to remember about the torturous ways of Vader.

"As I said, these are just the evidence of a puppet to the darkness" he said somberly still not looking at the girl.

He received no verbal response from her. However, when he turned to look at her, he saw the blonde once again reaching for one of his scars; this time in a gentler gesture.

Surprisingly for the jedi, he didn´t try to move away from her hand as it got closer to one of his multiple scars. The girl finally reached her objective as she made contact with her finger delicately making the path of a diagonal scar that went from his left shoulder to his left pectoral.

Galen didn´t need to hear a question to know what Spear was asking herself.

"Saber duel with my friend PROXY… trained with the technique of a jedi master known as Ki-Adi-Mundi. Burned like hell" he said looking at the scar as well.

Spear proceeded to reach for another scar, this time one of his right bicep that looked like three horizontal lines separated by a small part of untouched skin; like a bite.

"Diagona, nasty looking creatures living in black waters. One caught me off guard during a mission and almost ripped my arm off in one bite" he responded the unasked question again.

This time, Spear went to the circular one in the middle of his torso. Galen´s expression darkened a bit.

"You know what that one is" he said, to which the blonde silently nodded.

After a while, the gorgeous former Prime Minister´s daughter finally spoke.

"For so long, I didn´t think that people were capable of causing so much pain… Even when my dad was Prime Minister and had orders to fight violent groups and anarchists; even when so much blood was spilled around me, my mom used to tell me always that true human nature was not that. She always did her best for me to see the good on people" she said, and suddenly, she started trembling as her eyes started to get wetter.

"Even when… when they killed her… she still smiled. I… I saw her dying… right in front of me… with a knife on her chest… and she still smiled…" she continued now breaking into sobs as she leaned her head on the jedi´s chest.

"How… how can I believe my mother… after what they did to her… after what the Empire almost did to my dad… after what this Empire does to its citizens… after what those people have done to you!" she said now with her voice louder and her tears flowing even more.

Galen looked at her as she was helplessly leaving out her emotions. This part of Spear showed once more what the people who have decided to fight for what they value and love have passed through in order to call for war against this injustice.

They would have preferred any day to live a normal life with a happy childhood among friends and games; where worst kind of punishment were the scoldings given by their parents for doing something they weren´t supposed to. Even him would have chosen a normal life growing in the wookie village than to become a fighter. And yet, here they were fighting, killing and dying so that future generations had what they didn´t; all because people showed the darkest part of their souls. However, that didn´t mean that they were always like this.

Galen used his arm to surround the figure of the crying girl and gently rubbed her back as she kept showing up her inner struggles.

"You know how, Spear? Because what she said is true" he said whispering to her ear.

That made Spear keep sobbing, but her crying was lowered because Galen´s words caught her attention.

"People is capable of doing so many things; the most inhumane things… and the most beautiful things. I have done things I consider unforgivable, Spear. I have tortured, killed, destroyed whole families, betrayed my own people. All of it I did it without regret at the beginning. You know why?" he said now using his hand to lift Spear´s head from her chin so that she could see him in the eyes.

Galen could see her blue marvelous orbs surrounded by red from her crying; while Spear could see the raw pain in Galen´s own as he talked about what he did, but his face showed all the seriousness in the world.

"Because those were the only things I was taught about as I grew up. Compassion is weakness, mercy is an opportunity for the enemy to strike back, fear is the true show of power, anger is the source of that power" he answered his own question which was the same one Spear was wondering about.

"I didn´t remember what being loved felt like until I remembered my father, Spear. I was raised without it. And now, Night Raid and even you are helping me understand how drastically different things would have been if I had what I have now" he said with his expression softening.

Spear looked surprised again as she couldn´t help but be hypnotized by the honesty in the jedi´s eyes. She felt her heart race when he mentioned her.

"This is war, and sadly people die and will keep dying until this is over. And after it finishes, we can only do for the next generations what any of these people didn´t have; which is the affection of those who take care of them. Because I assure you, Spear, that your mom wasn´t lying about people. We are not born with darkness in our heart. I promise you" he finished.

Spear was now speechless, even hew sobs stopped as she heard Galen speak. And yet, Galen gave her a gentle look that melted her heart.

"Your mom knew what she was saying, Spear. Never think otherwise" he added in the end.

Spear´s eyes watered again as she once again felt her memories with her mom flow her mind. This time, however, she threw herself at Galen and surrounded him with her arms as she cried again this time more intensely. Galen just let her use him to let out everything until she didn´t have anything else to release emotionally.

Even the fox approached and rubbed its head on the blonde´s waist to show its comfort to her.

Some time passed before the waterworks slowly started to reduce until all that was left were some hiccups from the blonde girls due to her crying for so long. When Spear separated her head from the jedi´s shoulder, she looked at him with her blue orbs still surrounded in red and yet she managed to give him an angelic smile after it was all done.

"Thank you, Galen… for everything" she said before gently grabbing his head with both her hands and joining her forehead with his as she closed her eyes.

The jedi let himself go with the affective action, and he would be lying if he said that he didn´t feel comfortable on it.

"You have no idea how happy I am of having met you" she whispered still enjoying the moment.

Galen could see it now; this woman as well was having an effect on him. He wanted nothing more than to protect her and make sure she finds her happiness. Just like he has vowed himself to do with Akame.

"Your mom… what was her name?" the jedi whispered to the gorgeous girl in front of him.

"…Pyua… It means "pure"" Spear answered.

Galen made his usual side smile at it.

"I like it. If you let me. I´d like to give it as well to our furry pure friend here. To remember her" the jedi suggested warmly.

"Nothing would make me happier right now" Spear whispered back with the smile still clear on her beautiful face.

The two members of Night Raid still kept themselves in that position. God knows how long they would stay that way, but right now, they felt that they were just where they needed to be.

Imperial Palace - Afternoon

"Now that you are you are part of my team, we better start with our schedule" a welcoming yet authoritative female voice said to a group of people.

"Thank you for the lesson you gave us before, ma´am!" another cheerful and familiar feminine voice said to the authoritative one.

"Although I´m not used to this kind of intensity in a lesson" a masculine voice said showing signs of pain.

"First things first, we have to get ready for our audience with His Majesty before the party" the authoritative voice said ignoring the previous comments.

"What!? We are meeting with the emperor so soon!?" the male voice exclaimed in shock.

"I like to finish the annoying activities before continuing with our next lessons" the authoritative one responded.

"N… next lessons…?" the male voice expressed with hits of fear on his voice.

"I was thinking about something. Should we have a name for our newly formed group, Esdeath, ma´am?" another male voice asked with a more feminine accent.

Esdeath remained silent for a few seconds before a sinister smile showed on her face.

"Since we are a special force tasked with mercilessly punishing all our enemies, we shall have a unique name to plant fear among those who dare stand against us! Therefore, we shall be known as the Jaegers, the imperial special police force!" the general declared with her new squad behind her.

The true fight between Night Raid and the Empire was about to begin.

My God! After so much time, I finally give entrance to the Jaegers Arc!

Now, before you ask, the reason why I didn´t include the scenes were the Jaegers meet is because is pretty much the same as the manga and the anime, so I thought it was unnecessary use of time and space in the chapter.

As I said before starting the chapter, I´ll be showing you step by step how these hiatuses are over and staying in the past by publishing new chapters for my stories by week.

I already told in my other story and some of my most loyal readers that I publish one chapter of one story one week and the other I publish another chapter of my second story the next one, so the next chapter of HAS is expected to come in two weeks and so on!

Now, as much as I would love to answer many of your reviews since the last chapter, you wouldn´t believe what time it is right now as I´m writing this, so I´m afraid I won´t be able to do it in this chapter as well. However, rest assured that I read EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM because I really like to listen what you say about it.

And to conclude this chapter, I want to say that sometimes you will see the story being updated before due time, but I will tell you from now that those WON´T BE NEW CHAPTERS. I will start fixing grammar and lore mistakes I have done in the past since I began this story so that many mistakes that I have been told about over and over again will no longer be a problem.

Anyway, that´s all for now! You have no idea how much I missed doing this, guys. With a clear head, I feel totally recharged to keep on the magic of HAS!
