Salutations, my lovely readers! Okay. So I'm trying to branch out on the fandoms I write about, plus I love Felicity Smoak, so I wrote this. Personally, I don't think it's my best work. But, hey, I tried.
Please review, I accept constructive criticism with open arms.
I own nothing, not the fandom, not the characters, nothing.
Thanks, !
After receiving a text from his favorite hacker, John Diggle expected to walk into the 'Arrow Cave,' (Oliver still wasn't a fan of the name, but he was warming up to it,) and see Felicity, in her chair, at the computer, making some major discovery about a new meta. But when the elevator door opened, he instead found her chair, upside down, against the far wall.
"Felicity?" He called, looking around for any sign of the blonde.
His only response was a slight whimper coming from behind a rack of trick arrows.
"Felicity!" John yelled running towards the rack. Sure enough, there she was, lying on the ground with a small circle of blood coming from under her head.
"Hey," Felicity croaked. She attempted a smile but it turned out weak and strained.
John scooped her up in his arms and carried her to the medical table.
"So," he started as he searched for materials to patch her up with. "do you want to tell me what happened or am I going to have to call Oliver?"
She winces slightly. "No. Don't call Oliver, he'll start flipping out and lecturing me on being more careful and how I should go home and get more sleep, which has just about nothing to do with this current situation, but he's still going to bring it up." She stated rambling before John cut her off, turning her to her side to get a loot at her head.
John found the source of the blood and started bandaging the back of her head. "He's right you know."
"I know."
"So?" He pressed on. He then helped her sit upright and grabbed the seat to his left, sitting down beside the table.
"I don't know." She sighs, "I just . . . got angry. I've felt so useless the past few days so I can here to get some work done. I guess, in my hurry to be of use, I forgot about the step and slipped out of my chair."
He gave her a sad, slightly disappointed look.
"But, hey. At least I remembered to charge my cellphone."
"Felicity, this is serious." He said. Her smile dropped.
"I know, and I'm sorry."
John simply nodded. Satisfied with her apology, he stood up and grabbed her wheelchair, helping her back into it.
Felicity started to wheel herself out when she her John call her name.
"Felicity," she turned around. "if you're ever feeling useless . . . just call."
She nodded and continued out of the cave.
Only after she arrived back home did it occur her. She was going to have to explain why there is a bandage around her head and bloody streaks of red in her hair.
She opened the door and braced for the lecture.
