Standing on sofa and watching the TV with the hand on her swollen belly, Lara putted her head on the shoulder of Kurtis, smiling and listening to the music that the singer was singing in that moment on the TV.
Kurtis put his arm on the shoulders of Lara, caressing her forearm « Miss Croft? Has the pregnancy made you more sweet? » he said jokingly.
Lara couldn't help but laugh, she was at her 6th Month of pregnancy and it had made her sweeter and gentle, but back at several months ago...
Lara was afraid to have a baby. She loved Kurtis but she throught that It could be too soon to have kids, they weren't married but they were engaged for almost 3 years since the death of Eckhardt and Karel.
Kurtis, otherwise, was happy when he found it out. He throught that he could be a better father than his own father, yeah... If the baby will have the powers of the Lux Veritatis, Kurtis will train him and Lara will train to fight and athletics.
At the question, Lara laughed and took a fist of Pop-Corn from the box between Kurtis's legs
« I have to be sincere... I'm in serenity with this swollen belly, It makes me feel... calm. » she said while eating the whole fist of Pop-Corn, some of them finished on the sofa and on the floor « But well... Seems the baby is quiet famished, you eat like you never eat in your whole life » said jokinkly Kurtis, with that arrongant smirk that made Lara fall in love over and over again. She looked at him, twisting her lips and raised an eyebrow « It is your son or your daughter that asks me to do that you unssss- » she promised to her self that she would never swear during the pregancy... She had promised it to Winston, Damn it!
Kurtis raised his hands, as if he was guilty « Ohhhhh Sorry! » he said, again with that smirk on his face.
After a moment of hesitation, he looked at Lara, as for asking a permission to feel the baby. Lara putted her self in Lotus position and turned to Kurtis, smiling.
He put the hand on the swollen belly, he felt the heartbeating of the baby. He felt thrilled, smiling and almost crying. He took Lara's hand and putted on his own hand.
Thanks to Kurtis's powers, she felt the heartbeating of her baby that was growing slowly on her womb.
A single tear was on her left eye « My baby's heart... I can hear it » Kurtis removed the hand from the belly and kissed her lips softly.
It was a gentle kiss but it was a tad short.
They came back to watch the TV, after a while, Lara felt something on her womb. She moved her hand on the belly, smiling. Kurtis looked at her, curious « What is it? » Lara looked at him, her eyes were almost at tears for emotion « The Baby gave it's first little kick » at those words, he put his hands on the belly, smiling « You're going to be a great fighter... My beloved daughter » Lara widened her eyes in surprise « It's a girl? » Kurtis nodded.
« Okay... » She put again her head on Kurtis's shoulder and took a packets of chips right beside the left side of the sofa.
« I guess I have to cancell the appointment with doctor Van Cartier for the echography » Kurtis laughed at the answer.
« Did I already said to you that you're lovely when you're Pregnant?»
« Shut up and watch the movie! » Lara said with her mouth full of salty chips
