Lollipop

Ash and friends were on their way to the Pokémon center to have their Pokémon checked on. Pikachu was practically nervous because he had to get a shot to strengthen the immune system. When they walked in, Pikachu hid nervously behind Ash's neck as they approached Nurse Joy.
"Oh? What's wrong Pikachu?"
"Pika, pika pi…" he said worriedly.
"You're worried about the shot?"
"Pika…" he nodded.
"Don't worry, it'll be only be a few seconds",
"Pika…" he shook his head.
"Perhaps it would help if you came with him", said Nurse Joy.
"You wouldn't mind?"
"Of course not. If it will help your Pokémon feel better then of course I don't mind",
"Well okay. Come on Pikachu, let's get this over with…" said Ash as he sat down and set Pikachu down on her table, and Pikachu got all the more worried.
"Oh don't worry Pikachu. This will only last a minute…" said the nurse.
"Pika…" pouted the mouse as he rubbed his paws together. The nurse softened and looked at him sympathetically…
"I'll tell you what. If you'll be a good boy during this shot. I'll give you a lollipop. Kay?" she smiled at him and presented a piece of candy. The mouse nodded and extended his arm. The nurse inserted the syringe and within two seconds the needle was out and Pikachu seemed relieved.
"Pi? Pika! (What? That wasn't so bad!)" He squeaked.
"See? I told you little buddy", said Ash as he rubbed his friend behind the ears as he cooed.
"Chaa…" he squeaked and scampered back up to his shoulder.
"Don't forget the candy", said the nurse.
"Thanks Nurse Joy", said the boy and took the candy.
"You're welcome. As for you Pikachu, make sure to stay strong for me. Kay?" she beamed at him as Pikachu gave her a hug.
"Take care you two. Buh bye now…" said Nurse Joy and they headed out while Ash handed him the lollipop.
"Cha…" he cooed with delight as he licked the lollipop while they walked out to be greeted by their friends.
"Hey Ash. How did Pikachu do?" asked Misty.
"Oh he did just fine. Right Pikachu?"
"Pika!" cheered the mouse and lifted a thumbs up and stuck the candy back into his mouth and smiled.
"Just don't forget to brush your teeth after this, okay Pikachu?" said the boy and the mouse cheered.
"Pika!" as he continued to enjoy his small piece of sugary heaven…
