Chapter 9

Part 1

"Well, that is the end of this chapter everyone." Kakashi declared as he closed the book "Who want to read next?"

"I will." Kurenai smiled as she received the book from Kakashi and opened it to the ninth chapter before reading.

The Grand Magic Game's second day, competition portion…

"So we move onto the next chapter right away." Kiba stated with a grin "Yes, I was hoping for more actions. I want to see how capable the other members of the two Fairy Teams are."

"Considering that Lucy is far from the strongest, I believe there are a lot for us to see." Tobirama said as his brother nodded in agreement.

"I cannot wait to see how the others do."

Chariot

"This competition consists of reaching the goal without falling off from the interconnected chariot, the chariot underfoot are constantly in motion, so even a moment of carelessness will prove to be your undoing." Chapati the announcer explained the rule "They pass through the major sightseeing of Crocus. Which Team will be the first to arrive at the goal, here at the Domus Flau? We'll be transmitting images from the race" he then added as multi screens appeared within the Domus Flau "We'll be transmitting images from the race to everyone here in the arena through Lacrima-vision"

"So basically, it's a race on a moving vehicle, or a 'Chariot'." Minato concluded.

"That sounds really easy. Anyone of us can make it first without a problem." A young Shinobi from Kumo said loudly.

"The problem is, can they? I don't think the vehicle itself is easy for them to run on, and each one of them will want to make sure that their opponents are not going to make it to the finish line before them." Tsunade pointed out.

"So someone has to be really strong and really fast at the same time to participate in this competition. For Fairy Tail team A, aside from my son, Erza is my best choice for this. She has an armor that allows her to move at extreme speed, doesn't she?" Kushina smiled as Irene listened on in interest.

"Not to mention that she can be a heavy hitter at the same time." Tsunade nodded her head in agreement. "Since Naruto has already come out on the event of the first day, Erza is the most logical choice for this event."

"Let's hope that she IS the one they will choose to send out for this competition." Tobirama spoke up finally.

"So, which one of you idiots thinks it's a good idea to send those two out for an event that is named Chariot, which, no matter how I see it, obviously has something to do with a vehicle, or in better word, transportation?" Naruto asked blankly, being the only one who wasn't in a state of absolutely shocked. Rather, he was more annoyed than anything.

"I knew it." The white haired Senju stated with a blank expression, the left corner of his lips curved up into a small scowl.

"So, it's either Natsu and Gajeel or Natsu and Laxus, since those three are the current active dragon slayers of the two teams." Hashirama chuckled humorously "It would take a miracle for them to make it to the finish line, with how bad they are with transportation."

"Serious… how lame it is for them to have that stupid weakness, for such a cool sounding magic." Kiba decided to speak up his mind "I mean…"

"Actually, do you know that there is a very logical explanation for their weakness?" Irene suddenly spoke up, making everyone turn to look at her as she pointed to her ear "It's because their sensory system cannot handle something like dragons' vision, which is far more powerful than that of a normal human. The gap of a human's semicircular canals and a dragon's visual acuity is simply too much for time to cover and as they get stronger, so does their sickness, which is why the weaker ones won't find this as much of a problem as the strong."

"I see…" Tobirama nodded his head while rubbing his chin thoughtfully for a moment before questioning, but not sounding curious at all "How do you know that, exactly?" His expression hardened a bit.

"I did a lot of research, Tobirama-sama." Irene smiled as she calmly answered his question, but Tobirama and a few others were not buying it. They could tell she did not lie to them, but her answer could not be the whole truth either.

"Hey Sakura, what's going on?" Ino leaned to the side and asked her best friend in a low tone as Kurenai continued to read the next line of the chapter. Much like everyone, she could feel some tension between the late second leader of her village and the red haired woman who greatly resembled Erza. Looking around, she could see a thoughtful expression on the faces of many people, which included Naruto's father and his teachers… some of them were the best ninjas the world had ever known. They had to notice something that she didn't.

However, it was Sasuke that answered her question "She seems to understand dragon slaying magic more than the others. The reason for their motion sickness, something that not even the dragon slayers and their friends understand, from we can see… how did she know that is what everyone is wondering?"

"I… see…" Ino said slowly as she looked at Sakura, who also nodded her head to confirm Sasuke's words "Do you think… she is a dragon slayer too?"

"Yes she could but… there's more to this woman. She knows Naruto, and she also knows about us. Future Naruto is a very secretive person, and yet she seems to know everything about him and the people of his past… that alone is more than enough for us to know that she is not normal." the last living Uchiha finished.

He still needed more information to make the final conclusion.

"At any rate Yazima-san… with this kind of competition, who is being anticipated?"

"Hmm, I think it would be ones with great balance and speed." The old Wizard Saint man said.

"Does someone with motion sickness have something like that?" Tenten asked while Neji was shaking his head in disappointment beside her. "It's clearly not."

"There are also the twin dragons from Sabertooth too. What about them?" Kushina asked, trying her best to hold back her laughter.

"Well, they could be the reason Natsu decided to take part in this event." Minato answered with a chuckle. "Remember that he had a fight with them. Someone like Natsu will want to beat have the opportunity to beat them up as soon as possible."

Jiraiya said while rubbing his chin "Of course, if one of them out is out there with them, then the two teams from Fairy Tail can have a chance to catch up with the leading teams."

"Let's hope that Sabertooth are dumb enough to send out a dragon slayer for an event with Chariot for its name first." Tsunade pointed out.

"Why was Natsu and Gajeel sent out?"

"I hope they can still at least make it to the finish line." Asuma chuckled with many people around him groaned in disappointment "I am not seeing these two capable of standing on their feet in such condition, let alone walking or even running."

Naruto asked again, pointing his hand at the screen showing what was happening at the end of the chariot. He had arrived late to the tournament earlier that morning, and as he had expected things had turned shit.

"That's an understatement dude." Kiba chuckled.

"You could have guessed what would happen just from the name 'Chariot', can't you?"

"He just had come out, no matter what…" Erza sighed, crossing her arms "and Gajeel said if Salamander came out then he would came out too."

"What kind of logic is that?" Ino questioned in disbelief.

"Rivalry, I suppose." Sakura answered with a small smile.

"Very nice… dragon slayers on a train…" Naruto face palmed.

"Can't believe they let something like that happens." Tenten sweat dropped.

"Yes, what they need is a strategy, and a capable leader to give them that. They can't just send out anyone and hope that person will win the battle." Shikaku Nara replied with a firm nod. "They have the heart and passion for success, but they are still young and inexperienced, so at least there are rooms for them to improve."

"This Tournament will also be an important life lesson for them, I believe." Sarutobi said with a small smile, hoping only the best for the brightest generation of the magical future.

"Somehow, trailing at the back, far, far from the lead, Fairy Tail A's Natsu is in a very bad state." The screen of a sweating, green face and extremely sick Natsu Dragneel, trying to keep his running pace as steady as possible, was shown. The pink haired boy looked like he was about to collapse any seconds. "Right next to him, Fairy Tail B's Gajeel and even Sabertooth's Sting are in the same condition." Just like what Chapati was announcing, only a step before him, Gajeel and Sting were in the same condition "What in the world is going on here, Yazima-san?"

"Sting… so who's with him in Sabertooth as the Twin Dragon Slayers? Is it Rogue? It makes sense for the Light and Shadow to come with each other." Irene asked.

"Yes… and how do you know Rogue?" Kushina asked suspiciously as the others turned to look at the other red head.

The woman from the future smiled mischievously as she said "It's a secret, Kushina-sama. You all will learn about it soon."

"The three of them seem to have something in common."

"They have a lot in common. All three of them are dragon slayers, and have motion sickness." Tsunade sighed.

"From the look of it, those three have to be really strong to be in such condition." Irene pointed out. "It's hard to believe that they are still up and running."

"They are running on willpower alone." Hashirama smiled "I guess each one of them has something to prove."

The one who was currently in the lead is Raven Tail's Kurohebi and behind him was Blue Pegasus' Ichiya, who was running while screaming men all the time. Lamia Scale's Yuka and Risley from Mermaid Heel were following right behind the perfume user of Blue Pegasus. Somewhat further behind was Quarto Cerberus' reserve member Bacchus, who apparently beat Cana in a drinking contest last night much to the shock of Fairy Tail's mages. It seemed the alcohol from yesterday hasn't worn off just yet.

"Wha… that girl drinks barrels of alcohol… and you are telling me someone actually beat her to it?" Tsunade asked, her eyes slightly bulging out in disbelief. She really wished that she could hold her liquor as good as Cana was. Yes, the girl was always drunk, but at least she was sober enough to know what was going on around her and to drink even more.

"Another alcoholic… and this one is quite strong too." Shizune spoke, glancing at her teacher but Tsunade didn't seem to notice her doing it as Kurenai read the next lines.

Said man, however after seeing the effort everyone else in the race was putting out, Bacchus used his immense strength to destroy the chariot was standing on, lifting all nearby chariots linked to it in midair as a result, causing his opponents to lose their balance and enabling him to overtake them, gaining first place and winning 10 points for his team.

"Well, isn't that impressive?" Naruto asked with a smirk.

"It really is." Sakura nodded her head as everyone looked at her in amazement. Coming from the young woman who could crush a mountain with her fist alone was really something.

Followed after him, in order were Kurohebi, Risley Law, Yuka Suzuki and Ichiya.

What left were the three dragon slayers…

"What a surprise!" Sasuke stated with a blank face.

"Let's see which one of the will arrive last." Kakashi chuckled while giving an eye smile.

"This is no longer the battle of speed and strength, but the battle of sheer will." Minato pointed out as everyone nodded their heads in agreement with the famous yellow flash of Konoha.

"Now back to the remaining three. It seem they are battling it out for last place." the Lacrima showed the remaining three. Everyone was alright laughing at how pathetic looking the trio of dragon slayers of current and former strongest guilds of Fairy Tail really were.

"How rude! Can they see that those three are struggling?" Kushina said disapprovingly.

"But you have to admit that it's still pretty funny to look at, three young men running on a train with green faces and looking like they are about to pass out, or worse, throw up." Jiraiya shook his head while speaking humorously.

"So this is how people mean by making fun of." Orga snickered at them. "This is so basic huh, Rouge?"

"Dragon slayers are all bad in transportation... it seems" Rouge nodded his head, even though he thought that it was only him and Sting.

"It's actually much worse than you think." Irene said while smiling amusedly into her hand. "Sometime, being carried by someone else can be considered a form of transportation, making dragon slayers experience motion sickness almost immediately… unless they believe that kind of transportation is more of an ally than a vehicle."

"S-seriously?" Kushina asked in disbelief while the others looked at Irene in shock. "I guess… what make them standout from normal human and other mages are their greatest weaknesses."

"Could it be Laxus too?" Mira asked, looking at Laxus.

"Don't said a word to anyone else." growled Laxus

"Hey, don't tell me that they haven't really noticed." Ino asked in surprise "I mean… they have four dragon slayers in their guild, right? Someone must have taken notice that all of them have problem with transportations by now. Also, have they ever tried to do anything about it?"

"Actually, Sky Dragon Slayers have a spell that can stabilize the sense of balance. It's called Troia and it's one of the most basic enchanting spells that they can learn from their dragons." Irene pointed out.

"Really? That sounds really helpful. Isn't Wendy a Sky Dragon Slayer too?" speaking of whom, Sakura couldn't help but think about the young blue haired girl and, as a healer, truly wished that she was okay. She hadn't been mentioned since the last chapter, making everyone wonder what had happened to the girl, and left the one who attacked her still a mystery.

"Yes, Wendy can help her fellow dragon slayers. However, while it's very effective and long lasting, the effect is only temporary, and it cannot be cast continuously, as it will soon become useless." Irene explained "And also, the spell cannot be cast on the users or others if they themselves are suffering from motion sickness, i.e. it has to be cast before going onto a vehicle."

"Juvia think it is quite obvious already thought."

"Yes, exactly, thank you Juvia." Ino grinned.

"Fine then!" Sting cried and slowed down "I will give it to you, this victory. We'll continue to win after this. Just one or two points, we can do without!"

"That one point can be the key factor to decide the victor." Onoki stated "The brat might regret that decision later on."

"At least now that he had given up, the two teams from Fairy Tail will at least be able to earn a point or two." His granddaughter, Kurotsuchi said, smiling.

"Heh, then don't go crying about that one point later " Gajeel smirked and pushed forward along with Natsu.

"How pathetic… and yet they're still doing this…" Sting muttered but everyone could hear what he was saying due to the Lacrima visions following him and the other two "Hey, can I ask just one thing?" The white dragon slayer fell back and asked them "Why did you guy even come to enter this tournament? I'd never imagine the old Fairy Tail doing something like that. It's like how you suddenly start caring how strong you are, or what people think about you. Given time, maybe you will raise to become one of the top guilds again… and yet…" He said, his eyes hardening "The Fairy Tail I used to know did not care for the glory, and marched to their own beat, never giving a crap what anything else…"

"It's for our comrades that we were forced to leave behind, you assholes." Natsu growled as he fell, but continued to crawl on his hands and feet forward. "For 7 years, all that time they waited for us. It was hard on them, but no matter how sad… even if they got humiliated by being members of Fairy Tail, they endured it while doing everything they could to protect our name." The young dragon slayer muttered while slowly standing up, mustering all the strength that he had left within him to cry out "This is for my friends, to show the world how great they are, how amazing it is to be a member of our family… I want to show them, that Fairy Tail will live on!" He shouted and ran as fast as he could to the finish line.

The entire Shinobi Alliance was left speechless, even Madara Uchiha was looking at the scene that appeared before them with something new in his normally calculated and cold eyes. The burning determination that Natsu had when he said about his friends, of the pain they had to endure and the will to prove to everyone the greatness of his guild so that everyone would never look down as his family ever again… it left them speechless, and amazed them.

"What do you think, Irene?" Kushina broke the silent with a small smile, looking at the woman from the future "How are Fairy Tail and its members to you so far?"

She answered: "It had its moments, but it does put a smile on your face." Everyone nodded their heads in agreement. There wasn't much, but her answer was simple enough for them to understand her opinion about Fairy Tail.

"Natsu!" They cried, with tears freely flowing down their cheeks. The whole stadium was touched by his words, and the attitude they had for Fairy Tail started changing.

"I did not blame them… if I were in their shoes I would cry too." Tenten stated with a soft smile.

"AMAZING! Fairy Tail A, Natsu sixth place! 2 points!" Chapati cried "Fairy Tail B, Gajeel seventh place, 1 point!"

"There is a line break here." Kurenai announced before she continued reading.

After the second day of the Grand Magic Game's event Chariot, the battle portion of the day began. The first match of the day was decided, by the event organizers just like yesterday, to be between Team Raven Tail's Black Snake, Kurohebi, and Team Lamia Scale's Toby Horhorta.

"Weird." Ino said with a shudder "Both of them."

"Still, I believe we will get to watch the other matchups as well." The second Hokage spoke up as the scene before them was turned on, displaying the battle between the two contenders in the arena following the reading of the story. "This is an amazing opportunity to see how strong the other guilds are. I was a bit disappointed when the last chapter skipped through the rest of them after Lucy."

The gong was struck and the battle began. Toby immediately grew his nails and started scratching Kurohebi with Mahi Zume Mega Kurage, a form of melee combat magic that covered his claws in paralysis powder. Kurohebi dodged all of Toby's attacks effortlessly and then threw himself backwards and disappeared from sight.

"Oh, that's some amazing reflex, and he's really fast too." Kiba smirked, acknowledging Kurohebi's speed even though he did not like the mage one bit. His high-speed movements were a bit too much for the camera to follow, but like him, the more experienced ninjas and those who were used to high speed combat could see them quite easily. "So it's a form of speed magic?"

"Hmmm… I don't think so." Irene shook her head, pointing out finally after taking a moment to think "It is Mimic. It's a very rare form of magic that allows the users to mimic other's magic and use it as if it was their own."

"Sound familiar, doesn't it?" Tobirama asked while sending the two Uchiha in the stadium a meaningful look, both of them didn't seem to acknowledge what he just said.

The next moment, the Lamia Scale's mage was shocked when he saw the sand started moving, only to be attacked by a Sand spell, Sand Rebellion.

"He copies Scorpion magic, doesn't he?" Kushina asked, to which Irene nodded her head in confirmation "When you think about it. It's kinda like that memory make magic."

"Yes, but a Memory Make user needs to remember the magic they want to use and how it's performed, while a Mimic user does not."

Toby started attacking him again with his nails, screaming that if he wins then Kurohebi has to tell him his real name in exchange of telling him his big secret, after he was angered by the fact that Kurohebi wasn't a real name. Much to everyone's surprise Kurohebi made the final attack, leaving the crowd in awe and Toby defeated.

"That was quick..." A Chunin from the mist stated in surprise and a bit of disappointment. Like everyone, he was hoping the match would last much longer and be more exciting. He was also hoping to see and learn about some cool magics.

"The gap between their powers is simply too wide." Minato voiced out his opinion, and many people around him nodded their heads in agreement.

With Toby's defeat, Kurohebi asked him what his secret was. With tearful eyes, Toby responded that he couldn't find one of his socks even though he's been looking for it for three months. He then started crying because he couldn't find it and he couldn't tell anyone. Kurohebi pointed at his chest and Toby noticed the sock hanging from his chest as a necklace. He started crying of joy and called Kurohebi a good guy. Kurohebi then stretches his hand towards Toby, only to take his sock from him and ripping it apart.

"That was so lame!" Kiba exclaimed with a deadpan expression, his eyebrow twitching in annoyance. "Is he stupid or something? He wore that fucking thing on his neck."

"It must be something very important to him, and I believe there's no need for Kurohebi to do something like that." Asuma pointed out, chuckling.

"Man, that's cruel." Naruto couldn't help but chuckle a bit while next to him, Gray and Wendy was trying to keep Erza from jumping into the arena.

"Oh my feisty, isn't she?" Irene asked, giggling amusedly.

"Were you expecting something more?" Kushina decided to ask, looking at the other red haired woman. Her relationship with her son was one thing, but what concerned her and everyone the most was her relationship with Erza, because Irene looked like an older, more mature version of the queen of fairy tail. She had never been mentioned in the story, not even once, by both Naruto and Erza, so they could assume that the two did not want to talk about her, or Erza didn't know Irene at all.

Irene tilted her head to the side before answering: "Yes, I was actually… I was hoping she would turn out a bit more like… well, that'll be another secret I will let you find out yourself."

"C'mon woman, you cannot continue to keep up on the edge like this!" One of the shinobi shouted, but Irene merely smiled in return.

And with that, the second match of the second day was commenced.

"Well let's compose ourselves and move on to the second match of the day" Chapati cleared his throat and started announcing "Quarto Cerberus, Bacchus!" the drunk mage appeared on the fighting ground, waving his hand to the crowd with a gourd in his hand "Against Fairy Tail A…"

"Yes! It's their turn now!" the shinobi cheered, becoming excited.

"He looks drunk…" Shizune blurted out, having seen enough to know who had drunk too much alcohol. Plus, Bacchus also had a gourd on the side of his hip, which no doubt held a lot of liquor "Is he even taking his match seriously?"

"Still, he seems to be the leader of Quarto Cerberus, so beside Naruto I don't think whoever that is chosen won't have an easy fight against him." Tsunade nodded.

"Us huh?" Erza asked.

"That guy is the one who is on par with Erza." Gray said with a hint of nervousness in his tone.

"On par with Erza? Then he must be really strong." Ino spoke up "I wonder what his magic is…"

"With a build like that, it can be something that enhances his physical combat ability." Jiraiya responded to his friend's question thoughtfully while looking at the gourd he was carrying "I wonder…" He said, glancing at Lee and Guy, the later had also noticed it, remembering an event that once caused him several broken bones.

"What'll we do if it's Natsu?" Lucy asked, turning her head to look at Naruto.

"Pray?"

"Laugh it off?"

"Do you think Natsu will be able to defeat that man?" Tenten couldn't help but ask while her friends were discussing what Fairy Tail should do if Natsu was picked.

"He's stubborn like a certain someone, and he's actually not that weak himself. We all know that Erza is one of the strongest in the guild, but Natsu must not be far from it." Neji answered nonchalantly "It's possible for him to pull it off."

"Correct." Tobirama nodded his head. He couldn't say it better.

"Smash him up of course" Naruto shrugged.

"Easy said than done, dragon brat." Onoki grumbled while his granddaughter was covering her smile beside him.

"Still, I hope it'll be Erza." Kurotsuchi said as she removed her hand and put it back on her lap "I really want to see how she fights against a real opponent. Her training with Naruto-san didn't show much."

"I agree. I want to see how she utilizes the full potential of her magic and how she really fights with her armors." Minato couldn't help but nod his head in agreement. He, like everyone else, really wanted to see her fight.

"Against Fairy Tail A's NARUTO UZUMAKI!" And the crowd exploded with excitement.

Minato could only chuckle when the announcement was made "I guess we will have to wait for the next chapter then."

"I suppose another 10 point will go to team A." Kiba said with a smirk. "There's no chance that Naruto will lose to that dude."

"Is it possible for him to lose anymore?" one of the shinobi of the leaf asked while chuckling nervously.

"Let's do this then." Naruto said simply as he turned around and walked away while everyone from Fairy Tail was cheering for him, arriving in the arena a minute later with his hands in his pockets. Even after his arrival Bacchus, who was lying on the ground with a bored look on his face, clearly wasn't taking him serious.

"Seriously… that guy…" Ino chuckled while sweat dropping "He does not have any idea that who he is facing, does he?"

"That guy is about to be welcomed to a world of hurt." Kiba smirked evilly "I have a feeling that Naruto will not tolerate such behavior in front of him. I bet he's about to one-shot the dude." Many young ninjas spoke up in agreement, all expecting Naruto to beat up Bacchus, who they already disliked for how much he was disrespecting Naruto.

"He must have a lot confidence in his abilities… which is a good thing, but he is making a grave mistake. It will be the reason that he will lose badly. Always prepare for the worst, and never underestimate your enemies, especially one that is standing right in front of you, ever, even one that you know fully about." Tobirama finished, giving the last sentence to the younger generation of ninja from all village, making them nod their head in understanding before the story could continue.

"Go Naruto-kun!" Mira cheered along with the rest of Fairy Tail. The crowd was also cheering for him. They all witness his dominating performance on the first day and were excited for another amazing one today as well, especially when Bacchus was a very strong S-class mage.

"Hmmm… so he is an S-class mage."

"Indeed he is. A mage as strong as Erza has to be at least an S-class mage." Kurenai said in confirmation, looking at her student.

"Still, this is what we are worrying about." Asuma stated while shaking his head "The other members of the two Fairy Tail teams have to step up their game quickly, because as far as I can tell in everyone's eyes, the guild is all about Naruto now. He is overshadowing his teammates."

"Or… he is doing it on purpose." Hashirama said while rubbing his chin, looking at the sky above him with a small smile "Someone as smart as future Naruto cannot miss something so obvious like that. I have a feeling… that he's doing it on purpose, because he believes that the others can show a much better performance than he can. He is setting up expectations, drawing a line that the others need to cross or approach in order to impress the crowd like how he does. He wants his teammates to prove themselves to everyone, that they are strong too." Many people looked at him in awe and realization. They had not thought about that. "Natsu and the others all seem to have competitive spirits. Surely they will want to archive what he has accomplished, and that is the heart of the people." He finished with a small smile.

"I cannot say it better than you do, brother." Tobirama nodded his head with a small smile, because he too, had thought about that.

"Oh, you're that guy who can duplicate himself yesterday." Bacchus supported his head with his hand, smirking at Naruto.

"So that's everything he noticed?" Kiba asked, his eyebrow twitching "Man… how much I will pay to see this guy with some bruises on his face and a broken arm?"

"Wait till he sees how creative Naruto is with his clones." Sakura shook her head and said.

"I bet that even one of his clones can easily beat Madara." A young shinobi grinned to his friends, making the mentioned Uchiha growl under his breath and cross his arms on his chest. Hashirama, meanwhile, was trying to hold his laughter with one hand on his stomach and the other grabbing his rival's shoulder.

"How about we make a bet like those guys just now?"

"Hm?" Naruto raised an eyebrow at that.

"Is that even necessary? Just beat him up Naruto-nii!" Konohamaru shouted with his squad, making their teacher scold at them.

"I have to agree with them." A, the Raikage, grumbled to the other leaders of their respective villages. "Let's just get it over with so we can see the other matchups. We all know he's going to win anyway."

"Still, don't you think it's interesting to see how he is going to win?" Mei chuckled. "I find the boy very attractive and rather sexy when he fights... I can clearly see why all the girls want him so much…" She purred, causing some young shinobi to blush beat red at her words, while the kunoichi did not know what to say, already having a tough competition like Hinata and now the sexy Mizukage of the Mist. However, they did not notice her eyes were secretly glancing at a certain woman sitting beside Kushina. The same could be said to the other leaders, as well as the more experienced and smarter ninjas in the stadium. They were all studying her reaction to those words.

Since they all did that so well, Irene did not seem to notice them and reacted accordingly to what they had expected in silence as the chapter was continued.

"You know, your guild has some real beauties right there like that Mirajane girl. Erza is not so bad too, strong and beautiful." Bacchus smirked widened. "If I win, lend them to me for a night… both of them at once."

"Wah… what does he want to do with them?" Kiba asked, his cheeks reddening a bit, like many of the teenagers around him.

"What an asshole!" Someone shouted dramatically, making people burst out laughing. "Now I really want him dead."

"What a pervert!" Tsunade chuckled.

Kushina said confidently "At least we know that he won't be able to get what he wants. My son won't lose."

Fairy Tail was screaming in anger for his declaration while Erza and Mirajane flinched in shock at what they just heard. Bacchus then reached his hand out and picked up his gourd, saying "And if you win… let's see…"

"Isn't Quarto Cerberus a men only Guild?" Naruto suddenly interrupted, speaking up blankly while spinning a kunai around in his hand.

"From what I can see, yes it is." Jiraiya said with a small chuckle "I think I know where this is going."

"Well, I can only imagine how hard it is for you and the rest of the crew to spend all day in a place like that." He continued without a pause. He then made a face like he just had a brilliant idea "You, individually, look like a stripper with that thing you are wearing. I guess you and your guildmates have gay sex with each other all the time in order to fill that void only a woman can fill, don't you?"

"Muwahahaha!" Kiba burst out in laughter and many others soon followed his example. While the older and more mature ninjas did not laugh along with them, they still found Naruto's taunt to be extremely hilarious. It surely couldn't get any better. "Nice one."

Quarto Cerberus' members' jaws dropped in shock with their eyes widened in horror as they were outright humiliating in front of the entire Domus Flau, possibly the entire Fiore as well. Bacchus' face was red with anger, as well as embarrassment.

"That's what you get, bruh." Kiba said while continuing to chuckle, having calmed down a bit.

"What a terrifying sense of humor, as always." Mira said with her cheek resting in her hand.

"You… you…" Bacchus pointed his hand at Naruto "You're quite an interesting guy, aren't you?" he asked with one of his eyes became bigger than the other.

"Great, it's another weirdo." Ino groaned "Can these teams please send out some normal guys?"

"Bacchus looks drunk, so we don't know how he is when he is sober… but Ino is right, all the boys we have seen so far are weird in some ways." Sakura voiced out her opinion, agreeing with her best friend "Only the girls appear normal, or at least, as normal as they possibly can."

Shikaku shook his head, speaking up "I know it's better than judging a book by its cover, but I saw some promised individuals in the teams that participate in the tournament. I believe we will be able to see them in action soon."

"Fine then, let's get this over with. I have no powers over Mira or Erza, so if you want to spend time with them, go ask them out yourself." Naruto cracked his fist a bit as he said "But if I you want to make a bet with me, very well… if you win, Fairy Tail will resign from this tournament." He continued without a pause, causing the members of Fairy Tail standing behind him to exclaim in shock "However, if I win, then the name of your guild is going to be Quarto Bitches for the rest of your life."

"From Quarto Cerberus to Quarto Bitches… while it's a bit insulting to all the female dogs in the world, I kinda like that." Kiba smirked, making Akamaru bark loudly in agreement. "I think Quarto Pussies can be better. They all look like a bunch of pussies anyway."

"That's your opinion pup." Hana, his sister, spoke up with a small smirk, causing Kiba to snarl at her for calling him pup. "And watch your language. We have some young people here" She pointed out, reminding him about the youngest generation of ninja listening to the story in the stadium with them.

"Pu!" Bacchus' cheeks puffed out as he tried to hold his laughter in.

"This guy… he's really looking down on Naruto, isn't he?" Tenten asked in disbelief. He should not have done that. Not even the strongest shinobi and kunoichi would dare to underestimate Naruto, not after they had seen what he could do while holding back. Naruto had shown him and everyone a completely dominating performance the previous day, proving that he was a force to be reckoned with after he had taken down Rufus, a member of the team representing the current strongest guild of Fiore, Sabertooth, quite easily.

Neji shook his head before pointing out with a frown "He doesn't know… but still, it's a big mistake. He will regret it soon." Bacchus was an S-class mage, but other than strength, so far they had no seen any qualities that allowed him to have a rank that was better than the others.

"What!?" the other member of Quarto Cerberus cried out in shock.

"Remember, the rest of your life." Naruto smirked.

"Hah, that's actually not bad at all, but don't get so cocky just because you can defeat a few weak mages."

"Who is being cocky here, you or him?" Kurotsuchi asked sarcastically.

"So one of the reasons he is so confidence in his chance to win against Naruto is because he doesn't think much of the mages Naruto faced the previous day." Tobirama stated stoically, his arms crossing on his chest. He was one of the only few people who did not seem to dislike Bacchus and his personality. He pitied him actually. Even against a different opponent, Bacchus would surely loose. "He is very ignorant, and he will soon pay for it."

Bacchus smirked and got into a stance with his body crouched low and his arms outstretched while Naruto just stood completely still.

"Hey, isn't that stance a bit familiar to you guys?" Kiba asked in surprise, looking at Neji and the other members of the Hyuuga Clan, who also had a surprise expression on their faces.

"It is…" Hiashi answered, nodding his head in confirmation while looking at Bacchus' stance that had appeared on the screen "That looks quite similar to a basic Juken stance."

"It's possibly a similar fighting style similar to Juken or what it has evolved into." Tobirama concluded seriously. "However, I do not think this fighting style will also inflict internal damage through attacking the body's magic system the same way Juken does to chakra pathway system. Since he doesn't seem to pose the Byakugan or anything similar that allows him to see into his opponent's body, it's not possible for him to perform something similar to the Hyuuga."

"Irene, do you know anything about it?" Kushina asked, looking at the woman sitting next to her.

Irene simply shook her head in response before answering "Unfortunately no, this is my first time seeing such magic. However, I believe he will take full advantage of a focused form of magic power to enhance his physical attacks, making it powerful strikes against his opponents."

"Erza, what is that his magic?" Gray asked, turning to Erza who had fought multi times with him in the past.

"His magic type is a type that focuses magical energy into his hands. It's a relative orthodox magic." Erza answered with a serious tone "However, the secret of his strength is mastery of a martial art that allows him to use that magic to its fullest potential. It's called the Hikasho (Hanging-chop fist). It's a martial art that uses special stances to make particularly effective use of Palm-strikes. But what is even scarier is that he added some improvement to that and created a drunken hanging-chop fist."

"You were right." Kushina said to Irene, who nodded and smiled back at her.

"So it's like a combination between the normal martial arts and the Juken, breaking bones and injuring the body with palm strikes." Guy spoke up, being a master martial artist, there was no one who could understand hand to hand combat abilities better than he was "What more, he even created a drunken fist from it. His movements are going to be extremely unpredictable. You won't be able to predict his movements, because even he doesn't know what he is going to do while drunk."

"Can it really be called magic?" Kiba couldn't help but ask.

Irene smiled "In the future, yes it is. It's kinda like Natsu enhancing his blows with destructive dragon fire. He does it with his magic."

"Drunken… like with booze, you mean?" Gray asked.

"Yes… it's impossible to predict the drunken falcon's attacks." Erza nodded her head "On top of that, the destructive power is enchanted as well, which is a part of the key for him to victory." Erza then pointed to the gourd on the ground "Even more so, it seems he decides to fight Naruto without drinking a single drop of alcohol."

"Again, he's not taking this fight seriously at all, isn't he?" Ino asked blankly. "Still, anyone wonder how Erza knows so much about his fighting style?"

"I think she had an encounter with him in the past." Kushina answered "Lucy and the others know he's as strong as Erza, right? It has to be her who tell that to them. She must have a lot of respect for him, and yet he doesn't even have an ounce for Naruto and others.

"There will always be people like that, those who deem themselves far superior than rest and look down on people simply because they are stronger." Tsunade said with a shrug.

"Is he even takes this fight serious?" Lucy asked in shock.

"He believes he can wi… no, he knows that he can win." Erza shook her head.

"But he has that sand defense of him right?" Marco asked "There is no way Bacchus could push through that kind of defense."

"Precisely, Naruto has several options to deal with Bacchus and that sand defense is definitely one of them." Tobirama nodded his head in agreement.

"Don't forget that it's not just defense, Naruto can easily use the stand to counterattack and attack him as well." Kankuro smirked. Naruto could easily exceed what his brother Gaara could do with his sand.

"Possible, but I don't think he will just stand around in this fight." Mavis smiled.

"A night of dream with those girls, can you imagine how wonderful it is?" Bacchus asked, still keeping the smirk on his face.

"Yeah, you are dead bro." Kiba spoke up matter of factly, making the young people around him chuckle a bit.

"You do realize you are talking to a book, right?" Shino asked in his usual monotone, but Kiba merely waved his hand in response.

As soon as the gong was struck, Quarto Cerberus mage leaped forward and charged at Naruto, his fingers put together and struck his opponent's head, creating a powerful shockwave that kicked up the ground around him, covering Naruto entirely from view with a cloud of dirt. Everyone believed Naruto was done for because he had taken a direct hit, but when it was clear, the crowd cried out in shock when they saw Naruto still standing firmly in his place, one hand in his pocket.

"Taking a direct hit like that and still standing… he really is a monster, isn't he?" Ino asked while chuckling "In a good way, of course."

"And he's not even using his Sage mode." Sakura stated in amazement. From what she had seen, she doubted that there was anyone who could force Naruto to use a corner of his power, let alone a powerful form like Sage mode. "He never needs the sand to protect him in the first place."

"Don't think too much about it." The last surviving Uchiha spoke up "His head is simply too hard to break, even now." Sasuke then looked away, as the people who knew one of Naruto's earliest nicknames: 'The number one hyperactive, knucklehead ninja' broke out in laughter "Bacchus merely chose the wrong target to deliver the first blow."

"Wha…"

"Is that it?" Naruto asked with a mock surprise while the whole stadium was stunned, not believing Naruto could withstand a hit like that like it was nothing.

"So cool!" The fan girls squealed and cheered out in excitement, interrupting the story.

"Please…" Irene spoke softly. Then her eyes hardening into a harsh glare as she continued "Keep your voice down." Instantly, she shut them up, making quite a few younger girls to look at her nervously. Even the adults had to admit that Irene looked quite scary. "Ahem… please continue." She cleared her throat and said, turning back to the reader of the chapter.

"Heh, you are more interesting than I expected." Bacchus said, smirking as he took his hand back and delivered another strike toward Naruto's head with his other hand, aiming for his temple but the blond didn't even bother blocking. He stood there and let Bacchus' hand hit him, his head not moving an inch from where it was when it landed. Shocked, the leader of team Quarto Cerberus came at Naruto with a series of palm strikes and spinning blows, but none of them seemed to have an effect on Naruto.

"How is he still standing?" Sting asked in shock while sweats were pouring down his forehead, not even the enhanced durability of a dragon slayer could withstand powerful physical attacks like that unscratched.

"Simple, it's because Naruto is blocking them. Even for someone like him, it's unwise to take blows like that with your face." Tobirama finally spoke up, a small smirk on his face as everyone snapped their heads around to look at him in surprise. "He let the first strike hit him, but then he blocked the following ones with the back of his hands, so fast he made it seem like Bacchus was actually hitting him in the face. It was too fast for the normal eyes to follow… isn't that right, Madara?" He asked, and everyone looked at Madara, who like every Uchiha in the stadium had his Sharingan activated. The more experienced ninjas could see it too, but not as clear as the Uchiha could. It appeared that they could still use their Doujutsu to watch Naruto's matches.

"Yes." He answered simply, his eyes following Naruto's movements on the screen the whole time.

"This is certainly not normal." His dragon slayer partner, Rogue, nodded his head in agreement, remembering the battle that Naruto had had the previous day with his teammate… if it could even call one.

"Still, Naruto-kun can't win if he continues to stand still like that." Mira said as she crossed her arms under her ample bust. She was certain Naruto would win, just not how he was going to do it.

Then suddenly, when Bacchus was about to deliver a devastating strike to the back of Naruto's head, putting all of his 'wild' and strength into that single attack, Naruto snapped around and grabbed his wrist, stopping him from even swinging it too far from his chest. He then crouched down low and attacked Bacchus with such force a shockwave that could be felt across the arena was created, and when he released Bacchus, the leader of Quarto Cerberus team was launched across the stadium like a speeding bullet, slamming into the wall and breaking it in the process. The destruction caused the people who were sitting above that wall to panic and quickly evacuated from the area as it started collapsing, but the rest were stunned at the outcome of the match.

"It's over." Mavis declared, much to the shock of everyone from Fairy Tail.

"Wow, it's over?" Kiba asked with mock surprise while grinning evilly "He really one shot the dude, didn't he? I told you, Akamaru." Barking as loud as he could, Akamaru didn't seem to agree more.

"Let's hope that he's alive. If you are asking me, that punch is quite similar to what Tsunade-sama and her students could do, and it usually doesn't end well to those standing at the receiving end of it." Asuma said, chuckling nervously while running his hands through his dark hair. "Just look at the destruction. It's unreal."

"It's actually not a single punch, but twelve consecutive punches in an instant." At that moment, Tobirama decided to speak up, making almost everyone to gasp in surprise "The last one was the hardest, so Bacchus was launched across the arena."

"He moves fast and he kicks ass." Bee rapped, but most people decided to ignore him, since they could not understand his music.

"So… Naruto did not one shot him." Kiba asked while chuckling nervously. He did not even see anything but said nonetheless "Still, it was pretty close."

Mato did not waste any time to check on Bacchus' condition, while Naruto knew very well his bones were all broken, but he would still be alive.

"So he's still alive then." Tsunade nodded her head "Gotta give him some credit though. He took hits like that and still breathing."

"He's still as strong as Erza and we have seen Natsu, who is considered weaker than her, taking worse and still asking for more." Jiraiya pointed out with a small chuckle.

"P-pumpkin, he's alive. We have to take him to the medic bay quick!" He shouted while waving his arms around. The medics appeared and quickly put him on a cart to carry him away. "I… uh…" After the doctors had left the arena, Mato then turned to look at Naruto, who was walking away from the arena. The crowd was silent and even someone like Chapati didn't know what to announce. "I guess… the winner of this match is Naruto Uzumaki!"

"Easy point." Kiba grinned as he clapped his hands before saying "Still, can we skip his battle the next time it happens to see others'? He's going to win anyway."

"Well, something interesting might happen, so I don't think we should do that." Sakura answered, shaking her head "Plus, I kinda want to see what else Naruto has up his sleeve. I believe there are people who can force him to show us a bit more, maybe not his full strength but what make him the strongest."

"Yeah, let's hope there are."

"There's a line break here." Kurenai announced as she smiled after reading the next line "Everyone is gonna like this."

End of Chapter 9 Part 1

Hey uhm… it's not Yagami… this is his sister, Tina updating this chapter. For those who don't know my brother recently got a spinal surgery, so I don't think he will be able to write or update anything in a while. However, when I was using his laptop and saw this story, I also saw the 'End of Chapter 9 part 1' at the end, and I realized that he had finished writing the reading for the first half of his chapter, so I decided to update it for him.

That was all about it, I did not know what else to say, other than the fact that if you are a fan of his works, please give him a lot of support, and for those who were fans of Son of the Hearth (Devil May Cry and Percy Jackson Crossover) and felt disappointed that he took it down, you can still check it out in my account, TinaKhoaNguyen, I have taken over it and currently writing to the 4th chapter now (I combine the first 3 chapters of the original story into one, making it the first chapter for mine, so you can rest assure that you will be able to find new contents from second chapter onward)

That's it.

Peace out!
