Don't own anything to do with Harry Potter. Wish I did, life would be much simpler.

Short update for this story to show that it has not been abandoned, just my Muse for it went for a camping trip. There will be further updates as I write them.

None of my stories will ever be abandoned, even if it takes 12mths to post an update.

"Amelia couldn't believe what she was reading. Not only had Sirius Black been sent to Azkabahn without a trial, but if the Potter Wills had been read he never would have been sent there in the first place. The Goblins had explained that due to an act of the Wizengamont the wills had been sealed until such time as Harry requested they be read.

With Harry being removed from their world for most of the last 12 years, no one had thought to ask him if he had heard them or not. Amelia along with everyone else in the wizarding world thought that Harry was being trained for his eventual position within society while he was not at Hogwarts. However the more Amelia looked into things, the more it appeared that this was not the style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /spanThe Potter Heir was being left woefully unprepared for the role he should eventually play in wizarding society.

Making a decision, Amelia picked up all the documents on her desk and left her office. Making her way through the outer office she stopped by one desk.

"Auror Shaklebolt, take one other Auror and move Sirius Black from Azkabahn to the Ministry holding cells, today!"

Ignoring the startled look she received Amelia continued out of the office without waiting for a reply.

Continuing through the winding corridors of the Ministry of Magic she made her way to the Minister's office. Looking at the minister's secretary Amelia stated "I need to see him right now, I don't care who he is with, this is far more important."

Taking in her demeanour, the secretary hurried to the door to the Minister's office and went inside. Seconds later she returned and held the door open for Amelia to enter.

Walking in Amelia took note of the fact that the Minister appeared to be trying to review some new laws that were being proposed before the Wizengamont. On her way over Amelia had considered the best way to approach this topic to get Fudge onside and have the matter cleared up quickly.

"Cornelius, we have a problem, and we have a solution which will make you look like a Minister interested in Justice and fixing the problems caused by the previous administration"

At first the minister had looked panicked when Amelia said they had a problem, but as she spoke he appeared to calm down and even look interested in what the issue was.

"Ok Amelia, give the bad news first, then hopefully the good news will mean that we come out in front"

Amelia looked at him and then stated "Sirius Black is Innocent and he is the Godfather and rightful guardian of Harry Potter The-Boy-Who-Lived"

At that statement, Cornelius Fudge, Minister for Magic of Great Britain, fainted in his chair.

Hermoine was worried about Harry. He had been very quiet during the last weeks of term and had been withdrawn on the Express back to London. She had guessed that his home life wasn't the best, and if the stories told by the Weasleys were to be believed they had effectively turned his bedroom into a jail cell over the last break. She hoped it was an exaggeration but unfortunately she got the feeling that it wasn't.

Looking at her parents across the breakfast table she was struck by an idea. Maybe they could have Harry over for a bit of the holidays when they got back. That would get him away from his relatives; he never called them family.

The more she thought about it the better the idea sounded.

"Mum, Dad, can I ask a favour?"

Dan and Emma Granger were the epitome of what dentists should look like. Never mind that her father was retired Army, although which branch she could never get out of him. Their world had been turned upside down when Professor McGonagall had told them that their daughter was a Witch on her eleventh birthday. However, like all good and loving parents, they supported their daughter and only wanted her to be happy. Since starting at Hogwarts she had made friends, something she hadn't been able to do while at normal school. She was happier than they could remember her being and were happy about the changes that had come into their life.

"Sure honey, what do you want? If it is more books, they can wait until we next go into London." Said Emma.

"Sorry mum, not what I was thinking. However I will not turn down a trip to Diagon to get some more books," she said with an impish grin. "What I would like to do is invite my friend Harry over once we get back from our trip. He doesn't like his relatives very much and I would like to have a friend over as you will both be back at work then"

Dan and Emma looked at each other. The one constant in all of their daughter's letters since her first Halloween at Hogwarts had been Harry Potter. He was mentioned at least once in every letter sent home. The fact that those letters were delivered by said boy's beautiful snowy owl instead of the school owls that had delivered letters prior to that spoke volumes about how much they meant to each other.

"We would need to meet the boy's family first and ensure that they are happy for him to stay over. We would also need to meet the boy properly before we committed to anything" said Emma. "When you next talk to Harry ask him about it and organise to meet up somewhere so we can all discuss it with him and see what he thinks of the idea."

"Great, thanks Mum, I should hear from Harry in the next day or so. When I do I will start setting things up." Exclaimed Hermoine. "You're the best Mum, Dad."

A/N As stated above, I know it is a short chapter, but hopefully I will be posting more often for this story now the Muse has found its way home again.
