Sorry for the short chap. I forgot what I was meaning to write in this chapter.

Walking over to him, she held out her hand to him and waited, patiently for him to take it so that she could pull him up as he thought. Jesus- Yuki may be more suited to play the mafia game than Tsuna ever was. Takeshi thought again as he stared wide eyed at the girl whom had just taken down Reborn. Literally.

The guy was the most murderous, and ruthless and sadistic hit man that he knew.

And she took him down with the barest hint of effort.

Which was so totally, brutally unbelievable that it almost literally blew his mind. Until...it finally hit him, and he started to panic. "Oh god. Oh my god. We need to get out of here before he wakes up." He said in a slightly strained tone of voice.

Yuki looked at him with a 'why' sort of look on her face but then shrugged and grasp his wrist in her hand and headed for the door, dragging her along behind him since Reborn's wrath probably wouldn't be solely focused on him anymore.

Once outside of the house, Yuki took the time to turn and lock the door behind her- just to be safe- and then looked at him questioningly. Takeshi stared back, not really knowing what she wanted from him when it finally occurred to him that she probably didn't know the area enough to lead them anywhere.

Which left him to take the lead.

"Right, sorry- There for a second I forgot that you aren't from around here." He said and he thought, Yay... With a slightly pained wince, absently noting that sometime soon he was going to have to take some pain meds for his injuries as he took hold of her hand again and began walking.

Dragging her along behind him as he went.

He knew that his home would be among one of the first places that Reborn would look once he awoke to find the two of them gone. And the second place he would look was at the school baseball field.

Or did he have that backwards?

Which meant that he had to find someplace that Reborn wouldn't think of to look for them. But where? He wondered as he led her past his home, past the school and onwards towards the town shrine. Now that he really thought about it, that would probably be the one and only place Reborn would never think to look for them at.

And who knew, since shrines were considered holy, maybe lightening would strike Reborn if he so much as tried to step even one toe on the grounds. Ah, now that would be nice. Takeshi almost laughed aloud as said thought passed through his head.

"Where are we going?" Yuki finally asked after a time. Maybe she was curious or maybe she was just few up with being dragged around town. Takeshi didn't know and really didn't care that much as he twisted half around to answer her.

"The town shrine. We'll hide out there until Reborn calms down enough to be reasoned with." He said as he looked at her. He didn't have the heart to tell her that that probably wouldn't happen for oh say- about a thousand years or so.

Reborn was simply that good at holding onto senseless and petty grudges. A skill that he must have perfected upon becoming a hit man. Cause there was just no way that he could have been that damn petty growing up. His own mother would have beaten him senseless over some of the grudges that he tended to hold onto.

And that was saying a lot since the poor woman was likely dead.

Yuki was silent for several more seconds before sighing and slipping her hand free of his grasp so that she could pat him on the back. It felt to him almost as if she were trying to say, Well done. Though he could have simply been reading things wrong.

Maybe the pat on the back also meant something along the lines of, Okay, whatever. Or something. Whatever the reason for it, he felt a little bit comforted by it. But not terribly so given the situation. After all, once they got to the shrine he would have to speak with Hibari-san about them staying there for a while.

And he actually was more apt to kill the two of them than Reborn was, only he'd do it just because they breathed instead of simply because they did something that he disliked.

"There are a lot of steps here..." Yuki said after a while of total silence.

"Hn. Yeah, sorry. It's a really, really old shrine. Tradition was sort of a big thing back in the day." Takashi said as if that would explain why there were so many damn steps there. Yuki says nothing more. She doesn't even complain really until they finally reach the last step and he hears her muttering under her breath.

"I would imagine so," Before tacking on, "Ow, ow, ow- my legs hurt. Stupid crap load of stairs."

Takeshi listened to her mutterings and laughed quietly as he looked towards the shrine and noted that Hibari must have been waiting for them since he could see the hardass, casually leaning his shoulder against his doorframe looking as if someone had just pissed in his cerial. Which was just weird since Tekeshi hadn't realized that he was even home. So his presence must have been due to possibly because he got a call from someone that Reborn had roped into helping him track them down.

Which meant that he and Yuki would have who knew how many people trying to find them.

Just great, He thought to himself. Why couldn't everyone just mind their own business for a change? Was that too damn much to ask? He wondered as the man lifted a hand and waved him and Yuki over. Yuki stared at Hibari oddly as Takeshi sighed and cast her a slightly worried glance and then reached out and took her small hand in his and started to walk, slowly towards where Hibari was impatiently waiting for them.
