Daniel

I shaded my eyes from the fine spray of seawater splashing up onto the topmost deck.

Looking behind me and I saw the two other ships following us. Someone waved from the deck of the Phoenix, so I waved back. We had been traveling for the past two hours, and the last time I asked Harold, he said it was going to be another four before we get there. By the gods, I'll die of boredom before we reach Camp Half-Blood.

Thankfully, nothing bad had happened thus far, which meant that the monster deterrent shields worked perfectly.

Sophia stood beside me, leaning on the railing. The Wind whipping down from the mast blew her hair all over the place.

The fact that she'd slapped me was still in my head. It wasn't my fault I nearly died.

"Hey," I said.

She looked at me, her grey eyes felt like they were staring at my very soul, her eyes were still red, and sullen.

"Hi." She muttered.

"You want to talk?"

"About what?"

"Stuff? To pass the time."

"I'm not really in the mood for telling stories."

"Then talk a bit about your mood. Maybe I can help."

"What could you do?" She snapped, which hurt a bit.

Then she sighed, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have- I'm tired, that's all. Too much has happened too recently. I just want to be back at Camp Half-Blood."

"It's Nico you're thinking about."

"Partly... Yes. Harold told me about Nico. Tartarus is stronger than we thought if he's able to do this with our friends."

She didn't say more, instead, she looked down at the Ocean, which was a lovely Green Color.

I could see was trying to hold back tears.

"You should get some sleep."

"The nightmares wouldn't exactly help me."

"Why did you go without sleeping while I was in the hospital?"

"I-I... The battle must've-"

"It wasn't the battle," I said, softly.

She looked at me, her eyes puffy.

I wiped a tear from her face.

"You- You could have died-"

"I won't die, while I have friends like you."

Without hesitation, she hugged me.

"It's-it's been too much. I'm too tired."

She then looked into my eyes, her grey eyes were beautiful as ever. She smelled of Roses.

"Do you remember the bet. Back in Camp Half-Blood?"

"Yes."

"I won, and I got a free request."

"What-"

My sentence was interrupted by Sophia.

She kissed me, which was the only thing I wasn't expecting as a reaction.

It was my first time getting kissed, and it felt amazing. She pulled away after what seemed like a second.

"Wow- That was-" My mouth was agape like a fish out of water.

She wiped the tears from her face with the sleeve of her jumper, blushing.

"Yeah."

The intercom interrupted the moment.

"EVERY PERSON PRESENT ON THE MAIN DECK, PLEASE HEAD DOWN TO THE COMMAND DECK. HIGH ALERT."

"Damn it," I muttered, frustrated.

Sophia looked at the floor, very annoyed.

When the intercom is used, it normally means that it's very important.

Once we got down to the command deck, Harold approached us.

"We have some bad news."

"Is it as bad as Typhon?"

"Maybe."

"And What's that?" Sophia asked.

"Persians."

I wasn't sure if I had heard it right.

"Wh-"

"No questions."

I closed my mouth.

"We need to leave. We can't let them catch us. They might not have quality ships, but they have quantity. I've already informed Admiral Morgan and Ship-master Thorne of the threat. They will stay behind, and hold off the Persians while we quickly deliver you to Camp Half-Blood."

"Will we use the Storm Spirits?"

"Yes, we'll be using the emergency storm spirits, I've already given Trinity the order to start the Wind spirits. Any Second-"

The sudden lurch of the ship cut off Harold.

Very soon, I could see America's Coastline from the window and we were getting close fast. Too fast. The four hour boat ride had been compacted to a few seconds.

I felt the ship decelerating, accompanied by a massive boom. I could already see the Athena Parthenos on a nearby hill.

The ship was still going incredibly fast, and this wouldn't end well for the Camp, or for the ship.

"DEPLOY AIR-BRAKES!" Harold shouted.

Something clunked outside, and the ship lurched so badly, I fell over. I grabbed Sophia's Outstretched hand, and she was about to pull me up, when the ship lurched again, making me lose balance, and fall back onto the ground, this time pulling Sophia with me. Her Elbow smashed into my stomach, giving me something similar to the Heimlich maneuver.

"Shit. Sorry." She said.

"What was that, Harold?"

Harold had also fallen over, and he was getting back up.

"Trinity? Where are we?"

"Urgh. We've arrived, Sir."

Everyone looked queasy.

"That could have gone smoother," I grunted, as Sophia got off me, brushing some of her air to the side.

"Yeah."

Harold reached for his microphone.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. We have reached our destination." His voice crackled around me.

Sophia's expression immediately brightened.

"May I request that we unpack everything as fast as possible. We have two ships that require our help."

He then let go of the button that activated the microphone.

"Let's Go meet the Greeks." He said.

We walked up the stairs, and I finally noticed what had happened. The ship had plowed into the beach of Camp Half-Blood, going inland many meters.

The Gangway was already deployed, so without hesitation, we walked down it.

A bunch of demigods came charging from the woods, armed to the teeth.

"Hey! Guys! Calm down."

"Sophia?" It was Bruce. He pulled his boar helmet from his head.

"It's good to finally see you, my child!" Chiron said, who was wearing a quiver upside down, so all the arrows were scattered on the ground behind him.

"What is the meaning of this? Who are these people?"

A chubby man with a wine glass in his hand came out from the forest.

"Dionysus," I muttered.

"Yes, It's me. Now explain what the meaning of this is."

I was surprised he heard me say his name. He was way too far away.

We got to the bottom of the gangway, where immediately Sophia got swarmed by all the Campers.

Dionysus marched up to me and Harold.

"I asked for an explanation. You made me pour wine down my shirt."

There was a red stain on his shirt, which looked a lot like blood.

"Who are you?" Harold asked.

"Mr. D! Ex-Camp Director."

Harold raised an eyebrow at me.

"You're... An Alcoholic?"

"YOU DARE? I AM DIONYSUS!"

Purple flames ignited in the god's eyes, but Harold didn't seem too scared. Behind us, the side of the ship opened, and Assassin's started unloading the supplies.

"We come in peace, Mr. D!" I said.

"You ruined my Shirt!" He screamed, not mentioning the beach.

Harold Ignored him, turning towards Chiron instead.

"Hello, Centaur. I'm guessing you're Chiron. Let me introduce us. We are the Assassin's of Chaos, the followers of Ragnos. My name is Harold Jameson."

Chiron seemed taken aback by that. Even Dionysus was surprised.

"But-"

"Yes, we all know that Ragnos promised not to have followers. He also promised not to have a son. How did that work out?" Harold snapped.

"Sir, We're done." Said an Assassin that had walked up to us.

"Good. Chiron, these are supplies for the Camp. Our Island and Camp Jupiter have both been attacked by the enemy. This Camp might come next, so you must be prepared."

"Who is the enemy?"

"I'll let Sophia and Daniel explain that. We must go."

"Okay, bye Harold. I hope we meet again."

"Bye Harold!" Sophia shouted from the middle of the Campers standing around her.

He smiled, before walking back up the gangway. The beach was now packed with supplies from the ship. Very Slowly, the ship lifted off the ground, stunning the onlookers. The gash it had left on the beach was filled with a torrent of water.

The ship turned around in the air, before dropping back down, and slowly sailing off.

"Well, I'm looking forward to the Story behind the Quest." Chiron chuckled. Dionysus was still frowning at the ship, now getting smaller and smaller in the distance.

The Smile that was etched on Chiron's face suddenly turned into a frown.

"Where's Nico?"

"Umm, Chiron.. about that. We have to talk." I said.

Chiron seemed to pick up the grave tone in my voice.

"This is bad, really bad. We do need to talk. Now. The tales of your quest can wait till later."

I looked at Sophia, who hadn't heard because she was talking with the other Campers. She saw me looking at her, and smiled. I motioned for her to come, before walking after Chiron.

Once we got to the Big House, Chiron rushed inside. He was in such a hurry that he didn't notice the wooden crossbeam in his path. His head connected with the crossbeam with a painful Bonk-sound.

"Aargh! Gods of Olympus!" He cursed while clutching his head.

"Are you okay, Chiron?" Sophia asked.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine."

He then sat down, still clutching his head. It was weird seeing a horse sit down.

A figure popped into existence next to us.

"Chiron, you left me there." pouted Mr. D. He seemed to notice that Chiron was clutching his head, "You leave my presence for just a few seconds and you've already hurt yourself." He tutted.

"It's Nothing."

"Here, that'll help," Dionysus said, conjuring a cold bottle of Bourbon from thin air and giving it to Chiron. He then walked into the kitchen, to get some Nectar from the fridge.

"Thanks." Chiron said, holding it to his head, "Anyway, I have important things to say. But first, tell me, what happened to Nico?"

We told him. Everything.

"This is really bad." Chiron seemed to zone out for a second, "As for these Assassins of Chaos, well that's a different story. I'd like to hear more about them and what they are like. Your Friend, umm-"

"Harold."

"Yes. He didn't explain an awful lot to us."

"You said that you also had something important to say. What was that?" I asked.

"Oh yes, that." His expression darkened.

"While you were on the quest, a kidnapping took place."

"What are you talking about?"

"Jenny Jackson is gone."

A/N Well, here's the end of the first book. As most people who've been rereading every time I update a chapter can see, I've removed all A/N stuff from under the Stories, so that it doesn't ruin the read. As of Right now, I will set this story to finished, so no more updates should be expected.

If you wish to continue reading the series, it's continued in the Second Book, The Borders of Chaos. That way the Title will always be closer to what happens in the "book", then having it all lumped together under Son of Chaos.

I wish to thank some Friends of mine, who have taken Time out of their day to read the book and give me constructive criticism on the story, which I hope has helped improve everything.

I rewrote and updated the entire story in one day, and it was a lot of work. The same will be happening to The Borders of Chaos before I continue to write.

-Thank you for reading and enjoying my stories :)
