A/N: ... surprise?

Days passed and Lucy wasn't recovering any old memories. But nobody was too bothered by that. Deep inside, they all were glad to see that she was okay and not six feet underground.

Lucy was at the guild, trying to learn (relearn) more about the friends that she knew. She learned a lot about Cana, Mira, and bunch of others. They really were a sweet bunch.

Erza sat on the other side of the guild, watching the young blonde talking to Levy. She noted how quickly she had situated herself regardless of the alarming situation she was in. Seeing the blonde become a bit more friendly terrified the redhead.

Just what happens if she does regains her memories. What then? What will she say about her confession? Erza's thoughts rambled on and on, that it amused Mira.

Mira smirked and set a strawberry cake in front of the redhead lost in cloud 9. "This one is on the house."

Erza snapped at the translation of free cake. "What's the catch?" She asked as she eyes the delicious cake in front of her.

"There's no catch." Mira smiled before walking away to serve other customers.

Erza shrugged and started eating her cake.

In another scene, Levy had combined Lucy to let her teach her (rehabilitate) to use her keys. The blunette guided the blonde outside of the guild.

"Now, can you feel some sort of energy inside of you?" Levy asked, getting to the basics.

Lucy frowned and tried to look within herself, trying to feel something. Then she feels it, swirling in a massive typhoon around her center. She hadn't realized it before. And she certainly didn't have it when she was little. "I can feel it."

Levy smiled. "Great, now bring out your keys."

Lucy did as she was asked and brought out her keychain of celestial keys. "Now what."

"To be safe, let's choose a silver key. They don't require a lot of magic." Levy looked at the key before pointing at a specific one. "This one."

Lucy grabbed the selected key and stared at the symbol. "So do I need to find a keyhole to insert this in?"

Levy chuckled. "No. But if you about it this way, the air we breathe in is the keyhole between our world and the celestial world."

"I guess that makes sense. So what do I say?"

"I open thee, gate of Nikora. You say that while holding the key out. And don't forget to use your magic while doing it."

Lucy wondered what this spirit look like. Was he strong? Cute? Humanoid? Creepy? There's only one way to find out, and the blonde just needed to stop being a wimp.

She raised her hand and tried focusing her magic towards the tip of her fingers, into the silver key. "I open the, Gate of Nikora!"

Out of nothing, the air in front of Lucy shimmered in bright golden light, and a small spirit appeared. After the light died down, the young girl looked down to see a little snowman with arm and legs. "..."

"L-Lucy?" Levy asked, seeing a shocked blonde.

"So cute!" Lucy squealed as she went to hug the little celestial spirit.

Plue would've said something to voice his confusion, but atlas, he couldn't. But he wondered why Lucy was acting different. She summons him quite frequently, so why did she squeal at his cuteness all of the sudden? Not that he was complaining.

"What was that scream!? I heard a scream! Is Lucy okay?!" Erza yelled as she can crashing out of the guild, swords in hands.

Lucy and Levy stood still and silent as they stared at a seething redhead, and Plue stuck between Lucy's two squishy mounds. Then the redhead turned in their direction and immediately zeroed in on the blunette.

"What did you do?!"

"Eh?"

"You did something?! Did you hurt her?! Take her innocence away!? How dare you Levy!"

"H-Hold on there." Levy started to say, trying not to falter under the scary stars she was receiving. "Lucy squealed at the sight of her spirit..."

Erza took a moment to let that sink in. She turned to Lucy who was still holding Plue. She does got to admit, he was cute. But not cute enough if he's shoved between Lucy's boobs. Erza wished that it was her...

"M-My apologies." Erza said, desummoning her swords.

Lucy stood up and showed Erza the spirit she had summoned. "Look! I summoned a spirit! Isn't he cute?"

Erza stood still, overtaken by the cuteness of the blonde, blush creeping onto her cheek. It was so fking adorable. "Yes he is."

Lucy smiled. "Want to hold him?"

"Lucy. They aren't pets. They're spirits. They're used for numerous things such as fighting or special deliveries." Erza said, crossing her arms.

"Although Lucy did have Plue out numerous times as a companion." Levy added.

Lucy pouted and held Plue to her chest. She really loved this spirit. He was adorable. Who would want to hurt this little cutie?

Erza stared at the blonde, thinking how the young celestial mage was acting like a little kid. Must be the effects of the amnesia. It was adorable though.

...

It's been a month, and Lucy showed no signs of recovering her lost past. The blonde herself didn't mind it. She could always make new memories. But Erza was dying. She couldn't take it anymore. She was so fucking heads over heels over the celestial mage. With her frustration, it didn't take long for Mira to figure out why Erza's been so gloomy.

It was just another day of opposition of failing hope on Erza's part. And there was nothing she could do. The redhead stared at the blonde who was talking to Levy at the moment.

Then out of no where, the ground trembled violently. Loose objects falling to the ground with a loud clatter while mages stumbled to find their balance. Erza bolted straight up with the back of her standing up. Something was coming. Something powerful.

Erza ran, or more like stumbled to the entrance and slammed the door open. People were panicking and stumbling to the nearest study thing to hold onto. She looked around to find the source of such magic.

She doesn't see a thing.

"Erza! Below you!" Natsu called out, running out of the guild, trying to get the redhead's attention.

Erza turned to the dragon slayer in confusion, before realizing what he meant. She realized it too late as the ground erupted and blasted Erza straight into the guild, leaving a gigantic hole on the side of the building.

Natsu gritted his teeth when he failed to warn his teammate. He stared at the gaping hole in the ground, and watched as a figure climbed out. "Who are you?!"

"Who I am does not matter." The man said before standing in front of the dragon slayer. He sported no emotions, and had dead grey eyes.

Natsu encased his fists on fire and went to fight the mysterious man for hurting his redhead teammate.

Meanwhile, in the guild, there was a large trail of where Erza skidded across, leading straight into a now destroyed bar. Mira had beer all over her. Cana had cake plastered all over her. Elfman had a barrel stuck on his head and so on.

The entire guild was quiet and crowded over what had crashed into their beloved guild.

Erza got back to her feet, clearly pissed at the ambush. Then there was another explosion and the door was blasted to bits. When the dust settled, it revealed a cloaked man.

Erza swore that she recognized his magical powers. But from where?

That's when it all descended into chaos. The cloaked man unleashed unknown magic and knocked out almost everybody. Only a select few remained standing, clearly affected by what the mysterious man had used.

Erza felt her limbs going heavy from the suffocation of this man's magic. But she was stubborn.

Gray felt his legs shake as he tried to stay vertical. But he wasn't going to let anyone destroy his guild and get away with it.

These two mages glanced at each other before making an unshared plan of attack. They both lurched forward toward the mysterious man.

The man, however, was quite surprised that someone could withstand his magic.

...

It was the trembles that shook her very core. Then it was the ominous suffocating magic that triggered something in her. Her insides twisted in anxiety as she should be remembering something. Something important. But she was running a blank.

Lucy hid under a table as soon the door exploded, and watched as the mysterious man fight Erza and Gray. Watching the two mages gave the blonde a slight feeling of deja'vu.

Once again, another explosion was heard, and a much larger hole was made on the side of the guild. And Natsu came flying and crashed into the wall. Lucy watched the dragon slayer collapse to the ground. She trembled as she felt scared for her friends. She wished she could do something to help.

She turned back to her two friends, only to see that the man held both of them by their throats and held them in the air. Her body shook with fear.

Then the man spoke, "Where is Lucy?"

"Why would I tell you?" Gray muttered, trying to get out of this man's grip. he couldn't use his magic, because somehow, this man was sealing his magic. Preventing him from doing anything else other than a pointless struggle.

"That is none of your concern." The man said before tightening his grip on the mage's throat for a moment, as a flare of warning. Then softened his grip. "Now tell me. Where is Lucy?"

"Never. You'll have to kill me first." Erza gave the man a dirty look, a look that could kill. And she had meant it. She rather die than let Lucy be taken away.

Gray muttered the same thing in agreement and gritted against the grip on his throat.

Lucy sat on the ground frozen at what she was hearing. Erza and Gray was protecting her with their life, as she sat here, hiding like a coward. But when she saw that the man started squeezing harder, and the two mages started to turn blue, she couldn't take it anymore.

She stood up and spoke up, making herself known. "I'm here! Let them go!"

"Lucy no!" Erza croaked out, clawing at the hands around her neck.

"Damn it!" Gray was losing his strength very fast and couldn't even pry the fingers off of his neck.

The man reflectively loosened his grip and glanced straight at the blonde. With a smirk, he slammed the two mages together and tossed them toward the wall, effectively knocking them out.

"Erza! Gray!" Lucy called out in a panic.

"You caused us some complicated with the stunt you played with Raven." The man said, walking toward the blonde.

"W-What? What you talking about?"

"I see. One of the side effects of using a dark magic. I would ask if it was worth it. But you wouldn't remember would you." The man chuckled evilly.

The man easily knocked the blonde out, and carried her over his shoulder. He casually walked out of the guild, only to be greeted by his partner.

"Took you long enough Ace. See you finally got that bitch." The man said, sporting no emotions what so ever.

"See you're slacking as usual Abner." Ace said.

Abner shrugged. "Let's go. Raven is waiting for us."
