Chapter One Hundred Twenty-Four

The snow glistened in the morning sun sending a smattering of small rainbows across the field. It had been a year since the fall of the Volturi and the death of Maria. She had personally gone down to the south to inform Miguel that the Volturi was no more and Maria was dead, all of the south was his and the war was no longer needed.

She had only had to help him take out the majority of his newborns that he was training and what was left of Maria's army leaving only his full coven intact. Miguel was over the war much like she was and was glad to end it; he had a more lucrative business anyways with tequila and dealing with one of the local prisons.

Her mate had gone to several of his friends around America to get the word out with Randall who was staying with the Denali coven for now and in Tanya's bed. Oliver and Fredrik decided to stay near Seattle but were travelling the world and Charles had found his mate in Irina who was staying in Forks with him.

The wolves were informed of Angela's death, the one who loved her took it to heart and left with severe injuries from her brothers as he went to attack her but the Pack nodded in understanding. The Cullen's as a coven was no more, Rosalie and Emmett decided to stay with Peter and Charlotte while Carlisle and Esme moved to England.

Once that was all done and she and Garrett were settled in Alaska once more they received a visit from Cleopatra and her mate, they offered their friendship and an open invitation to their small island but also to let them know that the Volturi were no more officially. The Romanian coven burned the heads to ashes within days. They also relayed that Amun had decided to stay with them for a few days to sort out the issues between him and Demetri while Benjamin and Tia decided to stay.

She and Garrett, once their tasks were done, stayed at her cabin once it was renovated fully from her tantrum and spent their time connecting fully. They stayed naked most days only changing to hunt and not even then but a year had gone by and she had received a called from her brother. Their solitude period was up.

"What are you thinking of my Warrior?" Garrett asked as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

Sabel smiled as she spun around without breaking his embrace and wrapped her arms around his neck. His eyes were a vibrant red and seemed to sparkle with his joy, his smile was soft and his unruly hair pulled back into a low ponytail. The sun shone softly on him illuminating him and it took her breath away. "About how much I love you, my Nomad."

His smile seemed to soften even more as he pulled her into a burning kiss. "And I love you too Sabel, I love you too."
