Amy froze. Shaggy loved her. As in I'm willing to spend the rest of my life, till death do we part love her? She took a deep breath running her hand through her still messy black hair before returning Shaggy's nervous gaze. Underneath the nervousness though Amy was able to see something entirely different, Sincerity, Truth, Hope. Shaggy had indeed meant those words but Amy wasn't sure what to make of it all. Shaggy, however, didn't give her much more time to think before he did something totally unexpected. He cupped Amy's chin and kissed her. To her own surprise, Amy kissed back. Her insides felt all warm and fuzzy as she wrapped her arms around Shaggy's neck. It was pure bliss for the two. When they finally parted Amy's cheeks were a deep crimson. She had never been kissed someone before.

In school, all the boys chased after a living mannequin, A Barbie-like girl by the name of Macy. Even if a guy hadn't been chasing Macy none of them gave 'strange Amy' the time of day. Why should they? She was alien to everyone else. Here and now, however, Shaggy had confessed his feelings to her. He'd kissed her and now he was looking at her like she were remotely special. It honestly made Amy's heart skip a beat. She looked away from him shyly not sure what should be done in the current situation Shaggy, however, merely laid his hand on hers slowly intertwining their fingers. This small action caused her to look back at Shaggy and meet his eyes once again

"Please stay with me," He quietly pleaded.

No words were able to come to Amy's brain.

Slowly Shaggy moved closer to her never once releasing her hand.

"But I had a life," Amy pointed out.

"You can have a better life here Amy. Please stay. I-i need you to stay with me,"

As he said this Shaggy took Amy's other hand in his own and looked at her quietly. Amy's breath hitched in her throat. Shaggy would be absolutely devastated if she chose to leave but if she chose to stay she'd be missed by her family. Amy could only look away from Shaggy in fear and confusion. She truly didn't want to upset him but how could she stay here? Shaggy seemed to sense her thoughts as he brought his head to rest against hers.

"I'll always love you, Amy, no matter what you chose,"

Would he? Would he really? He pulled her up from the bench leading away from the park and through the town until the reached the very outskirts where an abandoned house rested atop an overgrown moss covered slope.

"Do you remember this place?" he whispered as he led her to the front door.

"My-my house," Amy realized.

With a soft chuckle, Shaggy opened the door and pulled Amy into the long forgotten home. A very thick layer of dust covered the entire place. Amy looked around observing how nothing seemed changed at all. The living room furniture was arranged just as it had been. There were still plates at the table in the dining room. There were three place settings. One for her mother, her father and her. This brought about a question.

"Where are my parents?"

Shaggy was unable to provide an answer so, instead, he pulled her upstairs opening the third door to reveal a child's bedroom. Her bedroom. Toys were still scattered across the floor. Her bed was unmade and her closet had been left open. Amy walked through the room. First, she ran her hand over her heart covered bed sheets. Next, she picked up her teddy bear that was laying on the floor. Looking at the bear she remembered she'd jokingly named it Shaggy. It was then that the memories lined up side by side in her mind.

Her adoptive parents said her first word was, puppy.

In this life it was Mama.

Her favorite show was always Scooby-Doo.

In this life, she preferred to play outside with Shaggy.

She was scared of heights.

In this life, she couldn't swim as a kid.

It was strange that she could remember the small things but not her parents. She wanted to find her parents. She needed too.
