11 Pissed Drunkard Pt. 2

"Okay that's enough," Natsume stepped in, grabbing Mikan by her face to pull her back, breaking off altogether the stand-still of event that suddenly turned up awkwardly. Mikan fell flat on her back at the sudden pull and her head landed on Natsume's lap. Ruka finally let out a heavy breath at the overwhelmed distance he's getting back. He sent silent prayers to the heaven that Natsume decided to save him, all the while trying not to curse his two other friends to hell for not doing anything and just sat there watching instead.

"Holy shit!" Koko puffed out. "I thought she was going to kiss you!"

"And yet you did nothing," Ruka condemned bitterly. "Yeah thanks for nothing." He gulped down a few sips of his water. His throat now felt parched because of what just happened. "Petition to never let Sakura get drunk ever again," he voiced out. Just now was pure horror. Hotaru would blow up the whole world if anything were to happen back then. He poured himself another glass and drank up some more to steam off his nerve.

"Are you done?" Natsume looked down at her as he moved his hand away from her face.

Mikan's gaze went up to his face. She frowned. Reaching up both of her palms, she smacked them on both of his cheeks. Startled, Ruka snorted on his drink. Yuu blinked with complete incredulity and Koko had his mouth gaping open. They all could hear the smacking sound—loud and clear.

"Asshat," Mikan called out just in time when Natsume smacked a hand over her mouth, covering it. Whatever she was saying following that, all sounded muffled. Natsume looked at her grimly. He felt she could be saying just about anything now. Anything at all. He couldn't even narrow down to a few ones that she's most likely to spill out.

"What the—" Frustrated, Koko reached over the table and dramatically tried to whack Natsume's hand away offhandedly. "That's unfair! You heard ours so it's damn fair that we heard yours too. No matter how scorching hot your tea is, or how freezing cold."

"She's drunk," Natsume responded curtly in a very clipped tone, still had not pulled his hand away from her mouth. He pressed his lips together. He looked the least bit happy right now.

"Drunk talk is real talk, man. You know that." He thrusted his chin upward and crossed his arms together. "Come on Hyuuga, we're all about fairness here." He saw Natsume wavering, and feeling brave—or he's just an idiot who didn't care about the probability of him being attacked by a certain angered Hyuuga like usual—decided to poke some more, "Don't make us hate you, Hyuuga," he teased some more.

"Even that pissed drunkard wants to," he motioned for the brunette. From his seat, even without peering across the table to look down at her, he could hear her muffling incoherent words. She glared at Natsume, all the while her hand swaying, slapping his hand away.

"Fairness my ass." Natsume let out a hard disgruntled breath as he moved his hand away from her mouth. "I don't appreciate being drowned by lack of air," she huffed.

"Nor anybody," Ruka added quietly in the back. Sensing Natsume sending him a glare, he grinned innocently.

"You," Mikan muttered quietly while her brown hazy orbs gazing steadily at his, "You saw me that night, didn't you?" For awhile, the way her eyes were looking directly at him as she asked him the question, it looked as though her soberness had come back.

Natsume was quiet as his features fallen. "I did," he answered silently. The air around their table suddenly turned quiet and desolate. The guys gave him puzzled looks, wondering what they were talking about.

Her glassy eyes were etched with sorrow. She half-smiled, "You're horrible."

Natsume felt his heart shrivelled. "I'm sorry."

With tearing eyes, she scoffed, "So I've been thrown away and replaced then." Blinking her eyes rapidly, she rubbed the back of her hands on her eyes. She then chuckled as she went to pat Natsume's cheek, "Your loss, asshat."

Her pats turned to rough smack and Natsume's vein twitched when he felt his cheek stung. Never mind, he fought the urge to mentally roll his eyes. Who was he kidding?; she wasn't sober in the first place, she was drunk talk-ing after all just now, he finally concluded. Her eyes had turned glossy again and her face reddened some more.

Koko sent a panic look towards Yuu and leaned closer to him. "What the hell was that?" Both of them looked at Ruka. Seeing Natsume was busy holding back Mikan's swaying hand from whacking his face some more, Koko leaned across the table and whispered, "Did Hyuuga get another girlfriend?"

Ruka shook his head. "I don't know, man." He never thought Natsume would. But even if he did, why wouldn't he tell him? But then again, even when he began dating Sakura, he never did tell him anything at all.

Mikan was starting to sprout pure nonsense by then, saying stuff like she wanted to go bungee jumping and paragliding. In between the gibberish talk, she also mentioned how ugly Natsume's sleeping posture is and how childish he is since he couldn't eat spicy food.

To Ruka's horror, his face went nearly pale when she opened her mouth and spilled out that it was Imai who went for the kiss first since Ruka literally just froze there. Despite the tense air before that, Koko and Yuu was snorting all the way she was blabbering stuff.

A movement of a hand flew in in front of the guys' eyes and Mikan's mouth was abruptly covered. A puff of icy blonde hair appeared. "She's really drunk, isn't she?" He looked at the amount of beer cans scattered on her side of the desk and sighed. He plopped down on the tatami.

Mikan sniffed his hand. Recognize his scent, she beamed brightly, "Yuzu!" she called out through muffled voice.

Yuzu moved his hand away and laughed. "What are you, a dog?"

Mikan sprang up and encircled her arms around his neck giddily. "They won't let me drink," she pouted. "Meanie!" she stuck out her tongue at the guys.

"You had enough anyways." He patted her head softly then proceeded to glare at the orange coloured haired man who was cleaning up a table just near them. "I should not have trusted those guys to look after you. They can't even do simple shit like this."

The orange haired man spun around with a frown. "I'm not a fucking babysitter!" He pointed one finger at Yuzu, his face pissed. "You sent Akira and the guys away for a delivery, leaving us understaffed here!"

Yuzu made an exaggerated motion of looking around the shop and made a face. "It's pretty empty in the shop tho?"

Rui glared. "You bastard," he said through gritted teeth. "You only returned 2 hours later. Try coming in when the whole place was packed just now!" He barked. "And this place isn't that big in the first place." He glared.

He looked at Mikan. "Take her back home. She's wasted already."

Yuzu shrugged as he began peeling her off him. "I would do that even without you telling me." He laughed when he heard Rui muttered a few curses under his breath.

"Anyways, sorry I had to leave in the middle of the fun," he smiled. "I told my ol' man I was out with some friends but he determined not to let me have any new friends," he joked. His eyes glinting. The guys muttered a few 'okays' before Mikan started being giddy again.

"Yuzu!" Mikan called out. "I want another piercing!"

"Yes, yes," He answered nonchalantly, picking her up.

"And that tattoo we see the other day; I want that too!"

"Hm-mm, okay."

"I want to eat cake!" Now Mikan started to swaying her hands in the air.

"Hmm, sure." He caught her two hands but now she's just wriggling away.

The guys watched the two. Now they're wondering whether he's really agreeing to everything she wanted or he's just simply entertaining her just for the sake for her drunken state.

"Well, I better get going now." He started pulling Mikan up to his side again. He turned to look at Natsume. "Sorry, can you help me put her on my back?"

"Why didn't you just carry her on your arms?" Yuu asked.

Yuzu chuckled. "She doesn't like having her head lolled back. She pukes faster that way."

The guys watched as Natsume got up and helped Mikan on Yuzu's back. Mikan leaned her face in the crook of his neck just as her arm sling around his neck possessively. Yuzu placed both his palms on the back of her thighs to carry her up.

"Don't sleep yet," Yuzu told her.

"Mmmkay," Mikan mumbled with her eyes closed, finally quiet down.

"I'll get the bill. Take it as my apologies and thank yous for you guys putting up with her drunken state while I was gone," he grinned and stood up. "Rain check?"

Yuu smiled, "Yeah sure thing, man. We'll hang out again next time."

"Preferably where alcohol is not anywhere near Sakura," Koko chided in.

Yuzu laughed. "Might as well include Akeshi in that as well."

Koko glanced at his friend who was still snoring next to him. "Bummer, you're right." He shook his head in disappointment.

Yuzu stood up and headed towards the counter while carrying Mikan on his back carefully. The guys watched them. Koko and Yuu sometimes would glanced at each other, feeling a bit odd seeing another guy carrying Mikan on his back when Natsume just sitting by, watching the whole thing.

"I had the cab ready outside," Rui said as he helped Yuzu opened the door.

Yuzu nodded his head. "Thanks, man."

"This will be in your tab too," Rui reminded him.

Yuzu turned with an exaggerated shocking face. "Seriously, not even for a brother? How cheap can you be?"

"You're not my brother," Rui responded curtly with a deadpan face. "Now get going before she throws up," He shooed him away. "Lord knows everyone here has enough floor duty cleaning pukes."
