Jay had never been more angry in his entire life. All this time he'd been feeling sorry for Ben, but that changed once he saw the article. Ben may be a friend, but Mal was family. He bursted into Ben's room unannounced, much to the shock of Ben and his parents.

"You got alot of explaining to do, pal. If this is some cruel joke, then nobody's laughing. "As Jay advanced towards Ben, King Beast stepped in front of him and started to growl.

"Darling, please. " Queen Belle laid a reassuing hand on her husband's arm. "Jay, you better have a good reason for speaking to our son like this."

"Oh, I do." Jay took the newspaper out of his back pocket and handed it to Queen Belle. "With all due respect, I think murder is taking things a step too far."

"You actually believe this? Jay, you know as well as we do that this is just a malicious tabloid paper." King Beast said.

Jay folded his arms. "Well, with the way his royal beastly has been behaving, I wasn't too sure."

"I saw that article. I'll admit this is the most upset I've been in my entire life; but I wouldn't want Mal executed, not even for what she's done." Ben said, not even looking at Jay.

Queen Belle sighed. "Jay, you know that not all villains are like you and your friends. Some of them would be willing to use any means necessary to cause an uproar. "

"I wouldn't be too sure it's a villain, your Highness. The article says that the source of the information was from Auradon."

"Auradon? That's impossible. No one in Auradon would have anything to gain from gossiping about some faux execution orders." King Beast explained.

Jay suddenly began to stagger as his ring glowed a bright green. Once he regained himself, his jaw clenched in anger and he pointed an accusing finger at the royals.

"So, it's easier to believe that someone like me and my friends could do this? You think we'd do something like this to family? Is that what you think of us?" Jay turned to Ben. "I think you did give these orders, but your just playing nice in front of your parents! Mal doesn't deserve a beast like you!"

Jay stormed out of the bedroom, while the royal family watched him go in complete shock. Ben gave a small, bitter chuckle.

"I was waiting for someone to call me that. Just never thought it would be a friend." Ben said quietly.

"I'm sure he didn't mean that, son. I'm going to have a talk with him." King Beast began to leave but Queen Belle stepped in front of him.

"No! Don't speak to him yet."

"It's only Jay, honey." King Beast said.

"He was Jay when he first came in here." Queen Belle turned towards the door. "That wasn't Jay who left. Not the Jay we know."
