I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here Naegi's woes continued as martial law is imposed on Novoselic, and now the streets are no longer safe for Naegi to travel especially when a SHOOT-TO-KILL order is implemented and things look pretty bleak for our very own Luckster…
And now Naegi is about to get into even bigger trouble…

Ch. 46: Shūban part 5
Elsewhere, the scene shifts at a suburban house within Novoselic, where you can see Naegi is being nursed at a hidden basement level after being assaulted by soldiers earlier but his LUCK enabled him to escape, and a sympathetic middle-class family offered him refuge and vowed to help him clear his name and find a way to expose the prime minister and the chancellor's actions against the citizens of Novoselic, especially after hearing news that the Japanese ambassador and its employees were rounded up by soldiers under the prime minister's command.
The head of the family tells Naegi that the best way he can do to get help is to get out of Novoselic and seek help from the United Nation and countries backed by the European nation, like the United Kingdom. He also tells Naegi that he has to be disguised now that some citizens became blinded by the reward money that the chancellor offered and this caused fellow Novoselic citizens to turn against one another while informing him about the martial law being imposed.
Naegi nodded and apologized for the troubles, but the patriarch assured that Naegi is the victim here and deserves to be helped, especially when it is obvious that the chancellor is behind all this.
"Really…I caused trouble to you and your country…"
"Do not say that, lad. You are the victim here and not the cause."
"But…"
"Blame it on the chancellor and the Prime Minister. They are doing this as they are drunk on power."
"…"
"For now we need to get you out of Novoselic. You must seek international help to combat the chancellor's foolishness."
"I…see."
"Rest for now, and later we'll see if we can sneak you out of this now-besieged country…"
Naegi nodded while apologizing for the trouble he caused yet the patriarch assured that everything is due to the chancellor and the Prime Minister, not the Luckster, hence Naegi is absolved of any guilt and wrongdoings.
The patriarch's maid came and said that soldiers are searching at every house and this house would be next, and she tells her employer to hide Naegi somewhere as he is in danger of being captured, and the patriarch nodded, thanking her for the warning.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome, sir."
"Now then…"
"Anything else?"
"Yes."
"?"
"Now then…keep the soldiers busy…"
"Yes sir…"
The good Samaritan then took Naegi and led him towards a secret basement area, and instructed him to stay hidden for the time being, until he tells him that it would be safe to come out, and Naegi is compelled to do as told, and he thanked him for the help while apologizing, yet the man assured that it is nothing and that he will help a fellow person of any race or color.
"It's nothing, Mr. Naegi."
"I…"
"We citizens of Novoselic would help anyone…regardless of race or person of color…"
"…"
"You're the only one we believe would put a stop to the Chancellor and the Prime Minister from imposing their IRON HAND will on us…"
"I…see…"
"So please follow my advice. You must escape our besieged country and get help…"
"I understand…"
As soon as Naegi is secured, the patriarch made sure that the basement is not found and went to the front door, just as the soldiers knocked on the door, and as the maid opened the door, the soldiers began asking him if they see Naegi, showing his picture. The patriarch pretended to be unaware and made it appear that he and his family did not encounter him, nor see him other than through social media where he was seen during the recent Royal Ball.
The lead soldiers, who appeared to be loyal to the Prime Minister and the chancellor, ordered his fellow soldiers to make a thorough search which the patriarch objected, saying they never saw him before, but the lead soldier said they have their orders to make a thorough search as the Prime Minister and the chancellor gave them free reign to search every house they came across.
"You can't be serious!"
"Sorry, but that is our orders."
"You got to be kidding!"
"Orders are orders."
"What good would that do in finding a mere 15-year old boy? The way I saw him through social media, he can't be that dangerous…"
"The chancellor deem him a threat…thus he must be taken down at all costs…"
"You must be outrageous!"
"…"
After a minute the soldiers came back empty-handed, and said there are no signs that the target came here, and the lead soldier nodded and ordered them to arrest the family, which the patriarch objected and said they cannot do this as he and his family did nothing wrong, but the lead soldier said this is the order of the Prime Minister and they are just following orders.
"You can't be serious!"
"Sorry, but that is our orders."
"You got to be kidding! What crime did we commit?"
"Orders are orders."
"You have no right doing this…!"
"The chancellor gave us an order…and that is that…"
"You must be outrageous! Release us at once!"
"…"
The family protested as they are being arrested without a warrant and for no reason, but despite their struggle, they were rounded up and taken away. It took about 15 minutes before Naegi got the gist and stealthily left his hiding place, and discovered that the family who sheltered him were taken away by the soldiers, and now he is alone again.
The Luckster is angered that the Prime Minister and the chancellor are going too far, and now he had no choice but to flee Novoselic and seek international help in order to let them know of what the treachery that the current rulers are doing to their citizens.
Wearing a hat and trench coat to conceal his face, Naegi walked and tried to avoid areas where soldiers are abound, and by then a passing police car came where one of the policemen approached Naegi, letting him know that they recognized him and offered to help him, saying that the country has been compromised and are now thinking of a way to protect him.
Naegi was moved but then asked what would they do if the soldiers discover this, but the policemen said that all they can do now is get Naegi out of Novoselic and have him seek help from neighboring countries and get them to help in sending foreign aid to put a stop the current rulers, as reports showed that Sonia was apparently killed, as her BLOODY crown was found but not her body.
"What? Sonia-san…?"
"That's what we heard…"
"N-no way…!"
"If she were alive she would've used her position to put a stop to this foolishness…"
"…"
"So we're now pinning our hope on you."
"Me?"
"Yes."
This made Naegi feel concerned, as the Novoselic princess, whom he developed feelings for, was declared missing and possibly killed, and this now make sense that the Prime Minister and the chancellor taking over, and soon radio news reports that Charming is now becoming the next in line for the throne, and that politicians who oppose to this were sent to prison.
The two policemen are now becoming more wary, and they told Naegi that Novoselic's future now rests on how he would be able to escape and get help.
Suddenly, an army jeep arrived and began to open fire on the police car, and the two cops realized that someone has tipped them off, and as one of the cops began to retaliate by shooting his gun, the other cop gives Naegi a gun and told him not to hesitate in fighting back, saying that the soldiers are now serving a warmonger like the chancellor and the prime minister.
He told Naegi that no matter what, he has to flee Novoselic to spread word of what is happening.
"B-but…"
"Please…you're the only one we can count on…"
"I…"
"Only you can prove to the other countries that the Prime Minister and the Chancellor are oppressing the people here…!"
"…"
"Please…help us and our country!"
"I…understand…"
"Good boy…"
The police car then sped off while the army soldiers gave chase, as they told the chancellor that they have Naegi on sight, and the chancellor ordered the soldiers to shoot down Naegi at any costs.
"Are you sure, Chancellor?"
"Yes! Find him! Shoot him dead! Kill anyone who gets in your way!"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes! I order you!"
"Very well."
"And don't come back unless you brought me his head!"
"As you wish."
"Now do it!"
The police car sped off until coming to a stop when another army van stood there with several soldiers armed, and the cops are now gritting their teeth as they seemed to fail in protecting an innocent boy who is being marked for death for a shallow reason, and are now contemplating in sacrificing their lives to allow Naegi to escape.
However, the group of army soldiers approached the trio and tells them to relax, as they made it clear that they do not approve the chancellor's methods and they do not serve the prime minister or Prince Charming, saying that they do not support the martial law and are not pleased with arresting innocent people without a reason.
Naegi iwas surprised by this and asked them for confirmation, which the army soldier assured that they are here to protect him.
"That's right. We will help you out."
"Really?"
"Yes. we do not like what the Prime Minister and the chancellor are doing."
"…"
"We serve and protect…so we will protect you at the best of our abilities."
"Thank you."
"We'll do what we can…and for now you seemed to be the only one who can get international help."
"…"
Soon the soldiers who served the chancellor arrived and ordered that Naegi be turned over, but the heroic soldiers refused, aiming their guns at them and told them that what the other soldiers doing is wrong, and the foolish soldiers reiterated that they are following orders, while the heroic soldiers said that the prime minister and the chancellor are turning Novoselic into a despotic country and that the soldiers are now becoming rabid dogs.
This caused a tense stand-off as one of the heroic soldiers tell the cops to use this chance to take Naegi and flee while they hold off the corrupted soldiers, which the trio thanked the good soldiers for the help, grateful for what they did.
"Thanks!"
"We owe you one!"
"Thank you!"
"Thank us once you get out of Novoselic!"
"Tell the United nation and the European Union of what is happening here!"
"We're counting on you!"
"You must escape!"
"Save our country!"
As Naegi and the two cops began to escape, the two group of soldiers began to open fire, causing a shootout which became violent as the ones want to kill Naegi while the other group stood their ground to protect the boy.

At the base, Hagakure is horrified at seeing so many citizens being rounded up, ranging from adults to children, and there the SHSL Fortune Teller demanded to know why are the soldiers doing this, but the soldier guarding him said that they are just following orders and told Hagakure to reveal Naegi's location, and or else he will be forced to do so.
Hagakure stared wide-eyed seeing that the soldier is holding a cattle prod laced with high-level electricity, intending to torture him for information and this made him screamed in terror, saying that he really don't know where Naegi is as he hasn't seen him since the other day, but the soldier doesn't seem to care as all he wanted is to inflict pain and uses the interrogation as an excuse.
"Now then…"
"W-wait…!"
"You will tell us where that boy is hiding…"
"I swear! I really don't know where Naegi-chi is hiding!"
"Not good enough."
"…"
"Shall we begin…?"
"Help! Someone help me!"
Suddenly, other soldiers were thrown in, and they were beaten up, and as the soldier who intend to torture Hagakure peered outside the tent, he was grabbed and sounds of being beaten up can be heard, and soon someone came in.
It was Gundam Tanaka, and he set Hagakure free and informed him that he was aware of what is happening and began to amass some ALLIES to help the Novoselic citizens, as as Hagakure peered out of the tent, he is surprised to see the captured citizens set free, and the ones who rescued them turn out to be three bears, wearing SWAT uniforms, and each of them wearing wigs, and two of them sporting beards.
The bears are cosplaying WWE wrestlers Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose (collectively known as the SHIELD), and the soldier in charge was terrified as the three bears crackled their knuckles as they are poised to give him a beat-down and there Tanaka demanded to know why the prime minister and the chancellor want Naegi dead since the boy is practically harmless and incapable of defending himself, but the soldier said he is only following orders and nothing more.
Seeing that there is no point, Tanaka told the bears to beat up the soldier, and the trio bears nodded as they proceeded to beat up the soldier, with the freed citizens urging the bears to beat him senseless.
"Yeah!"
"Get him!"
"Beat him up!"
"Show him who's boss!"
"Kick his sorry arse!"
"Make him regret it!"
"Go get him!"
"Avenge us citizens!"

Hope you liked this chapter, as drama and suspense dominated the story, as Naegi is now a subject of a despotic manhunt, but he got a reprieve as some soldiers who are good-natured opposes the Prime Ministe's rule and attempted to protect him.
Hagakure, on the other hand, is victimized by the chancellor's wrath, and things do not look good for the SHSL Fortune Teller as he is about to be tortured for information despite the SHSL Fortune Teller telling the truth…
…only for Tanaka to save him…with the aid of his pet bears…
