Act 2: Scene 2
Marinette raced back to school with a newfound sense of vigor and spunk. Now that she knew about her new earrings, she would be very careful not to let all the spots fade away to reveal her peasant self anymore. She kind of liked this persona of Marinette, anything to get closer to her prince after all. The cherry blossom fell down softly as she ran faster to avoid being late for school.
I wonder if yesterday's dream wasn't just a dream. Marinette thought, a blush forming on her face. I was able to rescue Adrien! It was so strange to turn into that beautiful princess ballerina though. I hope I can do it more in the future!
The sound of school bells rung in her ears as she frantically looked up. She had five minutes left before the final bell! Thinking fast, she noticed the walls weren't that tall. As crazy as she was, Marinette took a leap of faith and vaulted over the wall with her enhanced strength. To her surprise, as she descended, Adrien was walking right there!
"ADRIEN LOOK OUT!" She exclaimed as the emotionless boy looked up to see the bluenette land right on top of him. Marinette groaned, rubbing her sore head before looking up at the handsome face of her crush. To make matters worse, her underwear was on full display for the world to see!
"Uh...uh..." Marinette started to say before leaping off the ground and bowing numerous times to him. "I'm sorry about that Adrien! I didn't even check to see if anyone was there before I jumped!"
Gosh! He always catches me doing something stupid! The embarrassed girl said in her thoughts before turning even redder. And now he saw my panties! Can this day get any worse?
"What are you doing? Class is about to start Adrien." The unmistakably deep voice of Felix filled the two's ears as the other blonde was leaning over both of them. The older male glared at Marinette before turning back to Adrien. "Didn't I tell you not to walk around alone? Now come on, get up." He grabbed Adrien's hand and hoisted the boy upwards.
Marinette growled before shooting him a glare. "Excuse me Senior Felix! I meant to tell you this the other day, but do you really have to talk to him that way? He is his own person, you know?"
Felix gave her a passing glance. "The other day? Oh I remember you." He got in her face, making the poor girl shrink backwards. "I told you before not to talk to him."
Shaking off her fear, Marinette leaned forward to his face. "What gives you the right to order people around like that?" Then she turned her head towards the stoic boy of her dreams. "Tell me, Adrien. What do you want to do?"
The boy was silent for a second as if he was comprehending the question himself. Marinette's face lit up with a tinge of hope to see her prince finally stand up for himself. Maybe they could even walk to class if he wanted to! Her heart thumped wildly in her chest at the thought of walking, hand in hand, to class together.
"I don't know." The soft voice of Adrien finally said, snapping her out of her lovesick stupor. She had one chance to speak with her crush, probably form some sort of bond with him, and he had absolutely nothing to say.
Felix tsked her as he grabbed Adrien's hand and dragged him away from the weird girl. When they were far enough away, he turned to his brother.
"You just listen to what I say. I can't have you wandering around with flighty girls like her or getting hurt. Understand?" He told his little brother, who nodded. "Good, now let's get you to class."
