"Hiiiiiiiii!"

"Frisk…"

Controller in hand, Frisk giggled as Asriel's character, that green dinosaur with the spotted eggs, flew off the stage while he made his own character chirp with a cheerful 'Hiiiiiii!' Repeatedly. As his dinosaur respawned, a vengeful grin spread across Asriel's face. "Alright, so that's how it's going to be? Prepare to witness the power of the Absolute God of Hyperdino!"

Frisk squinted at him with a flat, unamused expression. "Really?"

Asriel sighed. "I've been spending too much time with my mother and sister. Regardless! I will have my revenge!" He proceeded to bombard Frisk's adorable pink puffball with a flurry of kicks and ground pound attacks. Frisk raised his shield, but it soon broke, leaving his character stunned and defenseless.

Frisk laughed. "No!"

Asriel mockingly stood by him, ready to finish him off at any moment. "Ha! Not so talkative now, are you? It's time to pay, you pink abomination!"

"No, please!" Frisk pleaded. "I'll never taunt again! I -"

Suddenly, the door to Asriel's room flew open. Frisk turned his head; Chara stood on the other side with an excited look in her red eyes. Was she here to kick their asses with the blue-haired, sword-wielding princess again? "Frisk! Asriel!" she shouted. "Come with me! Now!"

"Huh?" Frisk asked. "What…?" But before he could finish, Chara ran off. He exchanged glances with Asriel and got to his feet. "Well, guess we'll put this on hold for now."

"Sure," Asriel said, "but it's not over yet."

Frisk walked with Asriel out of the room and headed inside the living room. Chara, Toriel, and Elodie were there. Chara grinned with anticipation. "Everyone, I have excellent news!"

"Let me guess," Asriel said, "new chocolate factory in town?"

"No," Chara said, "though that would be a wonderful development as well, but no! I have been accepted into Alpin University!"

Gasps rang out across the room. Alpin University was among the most prestigious magic colleges in the world. Chara was a great student, but they still hadn't been sure if she would make the cut. However, it seemed that those fears had been for nothing. It was her dream college, and she had made it.

Frisk grinned. "Alright! Way to go, Chara!"

"I'm so happy for you!" Asriel said.

"Congratulations, my child!" Toriel exclaimed. "Now you and your brother are both…" She darted her head back and forth between Chara and Asriel. "My children are…" She sobbed. "My babies are going to college! AAAAAHHH!"

As Toriel wailed and sobbed, Frisk looked at Elodie. "What about you?" he asked. "Have you heard anything?"

Elodie frowned. "I have," she said solemnly. "I tried my best. Really, I did. I tried so hard, but I'm afraid that I…" She snickered. "I got in, too!"

Chara gasped in awe. "Really? We're going to AU together?" She embraced Elodie in a warm hug. "Excellent work! I knew you could do it!"

"Sane to you," Elodie said. "They would have been crazy not to let you in."

Frisk's smile turned bittersweet. He and Asriel had also gotten accepted, but to a different college. They were going to Ebott University, located in Ebott City. Alpin University was about a two-hour drive away from where they lived. It could have been much worse. They weren't so far apart that they could never see each other, but it wouldn't be terribly convenient, either. Still, they would make it work. Frisk loved Chara too much to let a little distance stop them. They were going to be fine.

Chara pulled away from Elodie and smiled at Frisk. She moved close and hugged him as well. "You made this possible, Frisk. I can never thank you enough."

Frisk held her tight and kissed her cheek. "You're going to do great, Chara."

She kissed him back. "As will you." She tried to hide it behind a smile, but Frisk noticed a feeling of unease as she took a deep, shaky breath. "Frisk, I understand that high school couples such as ourselves often… separate when they go off to college, but I hope that we can -"

"Of course," Frisk said. "Of course I want to stay together."

She heaved a sigh of relief. "I was confident that you would respond so, but it would have been remiss of me not to ask."

"How can I stop now?" Frisk asked. "We're just getting started."

Chara smirked. "Indeed, we've barely started at all."

Frisk smirked back and moved his hands down to her waist. "You know, I wouldn't mind making some progress in the near future."

Her smirk turned to a grin. "That sounds -"

"H-hey," Toriel spoke through her sobs, "Do not think I am unaware of those erotic undertones. Please, let my child be my child for just a little longer! I cannot take college and that both at once! I beg you! Wait just a little more!"

Chara blushed in embarrassment. "Oh, uh, mother, it's not what you think. We were just talking about, umm…"

"Save it," Toriel said. "You were always a terrible liar, Chara."

Asriel sighed. "I would be amazed if they haven't done it already."

"Same," Elodie said. "I know Felicia and I…" She giggled. "Well, that's between us."

Chara folded her arms as if she were naked. "Y-yeah! What Frisk and I have or have not done is none of your business, brother!"

Toriel sniffled. "Y-yes, she is right. Ultimately, it is between Frisk and Chara regarding their decision t-to complete th-their journey to adulthood. We must not… AAAAAHHH!" Wailing, Toriel ran for the kitchen. Frisk heard the sound of the refrigerator being opened and a glass bottle being retrieved.

Frisk cringed. Well, that was a mood killer. He respected Toriel's feelings, but at the same time, she did need to accept that her daughter was growing up. He looked at Chara, who stared back at him with a mortified flush. "Uh, let's discuss this later," Chara said.

Frisk nodded. "Yeah." He laughed softly. "Our journey to adulthood, huh? I think we've done more than enough to be called adults by now."

"Seriously," Chara said, "but I'm glad we're at peace now."

Yes, peace. The new lives they had fought for were just beginning. Frisk was going to Ebott University to advance his future career as an ambassador, and Chara was going to Alpin University to study the secrets of magic. Fulfilling - but not dangerous - professions. They were both going to do great.

And nothing bad would happen.

AN: Greetings, it's me. So, I made this little drabble in case anyone was still checking this story for updates, wondering if I will ever continue it. The answer is that I already have, but not here. There is a separate story, titled New Life, which is a continuation of Frisk: God of the World. It is a more personal story that focuses on Chara as she begins her college life, but it doesn't go as smoothly as she hoped. Like its predecessor, it contains a mixture of humor, mystery, drama, action, and Charisk. It's like the Majora's Mask to this story's Ocarina of Time. Both great games that were an amazing part of my childhood. Those N64 graphics and music will always bring a feeling of nostalgia to my heart.

Uh, what was I talking about? Oh, right. The sequel to this story, New Life, is out now. Check it out!

I mean, if you want to. You don't have to. I'm sorry if I made you feel obligated. Read it, don't read it, you do you. Have a wonderful day.
