Kagome had been back to the Ice Skating ring a few more times to vent, but each time she left in tears. She was starting to think her heart would never heal and it would always be an open wound.

She silently put her skates in her bag, and sighed. Her blue eyes glazing over as her mind went back to her family who wanted her to get better but didn't want to be around her in such a depressed state. She loved her family, but they had their own lives and Kagome was making their lives hard.

She heard from the from time to time, but as time went on it grew to become less and less.

"Hello." Kagome was snapped out of her thoughts to see a young man standing before her. He had to be early twenties or late teens. Black hair and dark eyes looked at her. A small smile came to her lips as she looked at him.

"Hello." The voice said, shy as he stood there shifting. He seemed a little unsure of himself and Kagome could relate.

"How can I help you?" Kagome asked, a forced smile on her face. She wasn't one to engage in social conversations. This was the first time besides the owner, someone came to talk to her. It was rather weird.

"I saw you skate..." He trailed off, a small blush on his cheeks as he twiddled with his fingers, "You skate beautifully...do you compete?" The questions was asked innocently but it caught Kagome by surprise.

"Compete?" Kagome frowned, not knowing what he meant. He couldn't couldn't mean doing competitions. She wasn't that good. She learned a lot by herself..she had gotten some good tips from people when she had lived in Tokyo. Before she had moved here for a quiet life.

"No I don't. I am don't think I would be good enough for that." She told him, forcing a smile on her face as she zipped up her bag and stood up.

"But you are! You are really good!" The boy told her passionately, and he took a step back as a blush went over his face even more.

"Sorry. It is just...you have done some jumps even I have trouble with." The boy muttered, a dejected look on his face as he shuffled his feet.

"I don't know much about the Ice Skating world. I skate to vent out my emotions and I enjoy it." Kagome told him after a few seconds. She didn't want say too much, but he seemed so sad she could do some of the jumps she had done on the small routine she made up not even ten minutes ago.

"I am a professional skater. I compete in competitions...or I did. I am taking a break right now..." Kagome titled her head at this. The boy did't seem to be fit enough to be a professional skater...but what did she know.

"I am here a lot...maybe next time I could help you with a few jumps. I come here most evenings or early mornings when I don't have to work." Kagome wanted to help him, and maybe helping him could help distract her too. it could be a win win.

The boy perked up and Kagome swears she could see ears and a tail on him as he gave her an awed look.

"Really!" He beamed at Kagome who gave a light laugh at the pure joy on his face. He must really love skating to be reacting like this.

"My name is Kagome Higurashi." She held her hand out to him, as she adjusted the bag on her should. The boy took it a big smile on his face.

"Yuri Katsuki. It's nice to meet you!" Kagome had a feeling this meeting may change things for her in the future...good or bad she didn't know.
