Well, it has been quite some time since we were here, huh? As I mentioned multiple times in my other stories and even in this story's author's note, I have been busy with school and life, but since summer is here, I have some time. Add the fact that quarantine has forced us to stay home and you have a recipe for more chapters. I'm just glad you guys are still sticking around, especially with the Grand Magic Games arc coming up. Personally, I am excited for it.

But enough about my feelings, ONTO THE REVIEWS!

Antex-The Legendary Zoroark: Glad you liked what I did for the beach chapter. Trust me, what happened here will go on to affect the story. Damn! Should've had her turn back to Masquerade. Missed opportunity. He's a lot smarter here than in canon… and it has something to do with his hormones.

MeteorElDrago: Thanks man!

Neo Infinity: Oh, you are getting close to what I plan on doing for the Grand Magic Games arc.

Kival737101: Sorry for taking a while. But yeah, these next chapters will be great.

pendragonZx: Thanks.

Docorn: Hehehe, sorry to keep you waiting.

Fpinheiro96: Thank you!

Killjoy 141: I had a lot of fun doing the drunk scene.

Omni warrior: Who's to say they DIDN'T do anything to him? Just wait for this chapter.

Erasenpai946: A while. But Erza and the others will be added soon.

Ushindeshi: A few, but I can't have EVERY girl fall for Natsu cause that would take away from the plot… and would just be plain stupid in my opinion.

Guest: I already updated Dueling Tail, so…

Gabriel Cheairs: Thanks! But I wouldn't say this story is the best. Still, appreciate your compliment.

BijuuX: Thanks pal.

Guest number 2: Huh, that's an interesting evolution idea.

AlbWeeb: Sorry to keep you waiting.

To recap the last chapter: The Fairy Tail and Bakugan Brawlers arrived at the resort they will be staying at the train, though rather than begin any actual training, they proceeded to have a fun day at the beach. During their time of relaxation, the two groups were able to grow closer to one another, though the night ended rather strangely.

What sort of things will our heroes face after such a rough night? And what do the Spectres and Vexos plan to do? Let's find out…

What are ya gonna do?

Natsu throws in Leonidas with a smile as the red dragon appears on the field in a torrent of flames.

The odds are stacked against you.

Both he and Damus activate their Gauntlets before throwing in their Bakugan.

Back against the wall,

Cybertros backflips to dodge several purple energy beams.

You gotta give it your a-a-a-a-a-all,

Tsubaki, Mira, Kallen, Vali, Volt, Lync and Alister throw in their Bakugan. A large shadow crashes on the field. Ventus Altair flies in the sky while Vladitor slashes his axe.

This is the final stand, a-a, a-a, a-ah

Maxus Leonidas and Helios crash into each other. The Vexos appear from the left while the Spectres appear from the right, then Spectra and Gus appear in the middle.

The powers in your hand!

Shadow Prov and Roxie grin before throwing their partners.

Two worlds collide,

Six swords fall from the heavens, each representing an Attribute.

On the inside

Six warriors appeared in front of everyone, extending a hand. Albion flews high in the air while spreading his wings, Wilda crashes through a wall, a massive mechanical Bakugan roars in the sky, the Spectres ship fires on Crocus and a portal pulls Natsu and Damus inside.

You gotta fight for what's right,

Natsu and Leonidas scream as Dragon Bond is formed.

Before it's gone, gone, gone!

Leonidas fires a Lightning Flame Dragon Roar while Cybertros uses Rygon cannon. Both attacks collide, causing a massive explosion.

This is Bakugan!

'Magnolia, night'

If one was to describe a normal night in the town of Magnolia, it would be peaceful. In the past, when Fairy Tail was still the number one Guild, it would be filled with noise, courtesy of the guild's rowdy members. However, due to the seven years of the core members being away and the Guild losing its title, it had become peaceful for the citizens, not that they were complaining about Fairy Tail's antics before.

Due to the peaceful night, no one had noticed the invisible ship flying over Magnolia's buildings, save for a few unfortunate birds who crashed into it.

"Sheesh, and I thought Pinky was weird. This place looks so old!" Shadow Prov boasted while laughing his usual laugh, mocking the structure of Magnola's buildings. Instead of his usual clothes, Shadow was wearing a tight black bodysuit with purple outlines to represent the attribute of the Bakugan he used. Normally, he would hate to wear something like this, but surprisingly, the suit wasn't that tight. Plus, it smelled good.

"If you could shut your mouth, it would be appreciated." Allister said with a hint of annoyance in his voice, not looking back as he focused on flying the ship. He too wore a bodysuit, only his was with blue outlines due to his partner being an Aquos Bakugan. No one could hear what Shadow was saying, but the Aquos Spectre just didn't want to hear that damn voice and ESPECIALLY his laugh. It was like knives being dragged on a chalkboard.

"Why shouldn't I say anything? We're in a world that doesn't even have tv. How lame can they be?" Shadow said while kicking his feet on the dashboard.

"Then explain how this Natsu Dragneel managed to use pyrokinetic abilities that can transfer to his Bakugan? If I recall, Mylene said your Hydranoid was destroyed completely by Dragneel and Leonidas." Allister said, smacking Shadow's legs. A light smirk crept on his face as he could feel the Vexos' glare.

"Oh whatever! He got lucky! Next time I see him, I'll roast his Bakugan so much, we'll use the meat for a barbeque!" Shadow exclaimed childishly before a thought occurred. "So where are we going, anyways?"

"We're going to the location where the Battle Brawlers spent the most time." Allister said in a serious tone. He looked at the screen next to the controls before pressing it, allowing a map of Magnolia to appear, with a color coated building far away from the rest of the buildings. "Ever since they arrived in this world, they would gather at this location for a majority of the day. Based on the calculations, this would be their temporary base of operations, yet as of yesterday, they moved on. Because of that, we have a window of opportunity to learn about this world and the allies they made."

"Oh… That sounds boring." Shadow said bluntly, getting a sigh from Allister.

"Why am I not surprised?" Allister muttered while rubbing the bridge of his nose. If anything, he would've taken one of his other teammates, or Mylene for that matter. She definitely looked more intelligent… Plus, he preferred the company of a woman. Looking back at the map, Allister narrowed his eyes as he noticed they were approaching the location. "We're here."

"Huh?" Curious, Shadow looked ahead, only to see a rather boring wooden building not too far from the distance, with the words 'Fairy Tail' on top. "Fairy Tail? Who the hell thinks fairies have tails? And aren't those just stories?"

"It doesn't matter." Allister shot almost immediately as he began to land the ship behind a large tree. Once it safely landed, Allister and Shadow Prov exited the ship, kneeling behind a bush to avoid being seen. "The ship will stay cloaked, so remember where we left it."

"Yeah, yeah. No need to tell me." Shadow said with a nonchalant wave before he looked at the building. "Are we sure there's even someone inside?" To answer, Allister took out a small pair of binoculars, putting them against his eyes. Pressing the top button, the binoculars turned into heat seeking mode, allowing him to see the inside of the building.

"I only see one person inside. Small stature, writing on something. On the second floor." Allister informed before he put the binoculars back in his coat. He then pulled out two small pieces of metal before handing one to Shadow, who raised a brow. "This will conceal our identities. It's better that whoever is in there assumes we're nothing but thieves who want a quick pay."

"Yeah, yeah." Shrugging, Shadow Prov took the metal while looking at it, trying to see how to put it on. He looked at Allister, who calmly pressed it against his mouth before the metal began to transform, covering his face in a reflective grey helmet. "Ohhh, nice." Following what his temporary partner did, Shadow's face was completely covered, taking a deep breath inside. "Wow, you guys have a lot of neat toys! Hey, my voice changed!"

"Of course it did." Allister said, his voice becoming much deeper than before. "If we're to enter, we cannot reveal anything about ourselves, hence why we had a change of clothes." He then raised a hand and pointed two fingers ahead. "Let's move."

'Inside the Guild Hall'

With all his children out training to hone their skills and increase their magic in time for the Grand Magic Games, Makarov Dreyar could finally do the one thing he couldn't before.

Read his dirty magazines.

"OOOOOOOHHHHH, hello miss thighs. How are you?" Makarov said to himself with a big grin as he looked at another page, with a female in a rather alluring pose. Normally, when the Guild was packed, he would lock the door to his office so he wouldn't be disturbed, but since everyone was gone, he could read as much as he wanted to without anyone coming in. Turning to another page, he soon found his mind wandering to something else. Something much more serious than his own perverted mind.

Natsu.

Ever since he returned to the Guild, the Natsu Dragneel everyone knew had changed. Not to the point where he was unrecognizable, but he was much more mature. He was able to handle his bickering with Gray on a slightly more contained level, his intelligence grew a bit, and his magic was on another level. To be able to match Erza while also showing off some skill with the Lightning Dragon Slayer magic given by Laxus is no easy feat.

Plus, him bringing five beautiful girls wasn't a bad bonus either. Not that he was ignoring Ace or Baron.

However, something else was bothering him. Something Porlyusica brought up to him after the last person left the Guild.

'She wouldn't have brought this if she didn't think it was important.' Makarov thought with a serious tone as he looked to his left, staring at the book Porlyusica had. It was strange that she would bring up something as old as this, but he of all people knew that if she was serious about something, it would need his attention. When he started reading the book, which contained the first use of magic in Fiore, he was startled to see some many similarities. If what the book said was true, than that would mean-

*Creak*

"Hmm?" A sudden creak rang through the room as the old master stood up, holding up a palm while generating a fireball. He extended it to see if anyone was in the dark, yet he saw something. "Hello? Mira? Erza?" No response was given, which made him suspicious before he eventually shrugged. "It was probably another racoon. Damn things." Letting out a small yawn, Makarov put the book and his magazine inside his desk before walking out. It was late and he needed to get some rest for tomorrow. Once he stepped out of the room, Makarov closed the door, engulfing the room in total darkness. Little did he know, two individuals were sneaking through the shadows, waiting until the coast was clear to walk out.

"That was too close for comfort." Allister whispered before he turned around and while his helmet hid his face, Shadow could tell he was glaring at him. "Maybe next time, you don't try anything that would give away our position."

"Oh screw you!" Shadow silently yelled while pointing at the floor. "It's not my fault they don't nail down the floors. Who would ever live in a place like this?"

"You'd be surprised how desperate some people can get." Allister replied, earning a confused look from Shadow. His tone sounded understanding, like he knew his words through experience or something. "Let's move on." Both brawlers slowly entered Makarov's office, making sure not to let their presence known. Thanks to the helmet's night vision function, they didn't need to turn on any lights to see in the dark. "Find anything that can be useful." Giving him a nod, Shadow began looking through the office, mentally insulting the chosen interior for being so dull.

"Sheesh, that old man doesn't have anything special. These are just bills." Shadow said with a groan as he threw paper after paper, not interested in the amount of money Fairy Tail owed for their supplies. There were a few names here and there, but nothing that caught his interest.

As for Allister, he was currently looking through the papers on Makarov's desk with a more critical eye. Years of being with the Spectres gave him an analytical mind and even the smallest detail could give him everything he needed on the target. After finding little to nothing useful on the desk, Allister turned his attention to the drawers. Pulling it open, the Aquos brawler noticed a book with the symbols of all six attributes on it. Curious about what he was seeing, Allister picked it up, reading the contents of it. "Interesting…"

"What? Find any secrets?" Shadow asked while standing, looking over Allister's shoulder. However, before he had a chance to read the book, Allister closed it, putting it back in the drawer. "Hey!"

"Quiet. It was just something that caught my eye." Allister replied before he took out a much smaller notebook. Once he opened it, his eye widened a bit. "I found it." Raising a brow inside the helmet, Shadow looked at the notebook, causing a grin to grow on his face.

"That's what I'm talking about." Shadow said with a gleeful tone. Taking out a device from his pocket, Allister aimed it at the notebook before taking a picture.

"That should be enough. Let's go." Allister said before he put the book back and closed the drawer, ensuring that any evidence of them coming here was gone. Entering the hallway yet again, both dark clad brawlers looked around to make sure they weren't spotted before they began to make their way to a nearby window.

"Hehehe, what a dumb old man. He didn't even know we were here." Shadow said to himself with a small laugh. Wait until he battles Natsu again. He was going to kick his-

*Crash*

Before Shadow Prov could finish his inner gloating, the floor underneath him shattered as a large hand wrapped around his body. "HOLY SH-" Was all the Darkus brawler could exclaim before the hand dragged him down to the second floor, slamming him on the ground like a bug. The lights in the Guild Hall turned on, making Allister's presence known.

"I thought I heard something wrong." Another hand broke through the floor, forcing Allister to jump out of the way. However, his leg was caught by the hand and he was thrown to the bottom floor, forcing a small groan to escape his mouth. Makarov looked at the intruders with a deep frown, his enlarged hands holding the two in place. "Would you like to explain what you're doing in my Guild?"

"I admit you surprised me." Allister said as he calmly laid on the ground. Despite the pain he felt from his leg, he wasn't about to submit any information.

"Those masks… they remind me of Damus." Makarov said with narrowed eyes as he pulled Allister up in the air, bringing him close enough so that they would be able to see each other's eyes(though the mask made it difficult). "Are you with the Spectres? Or perhaps the Vexos I've heard of?"

'So Damus used the masks as well.' Allister thought to himself while mentally facepalm. He should have known his leader would be as cautious as he was being, so there was no real point in hiding his face. Placing a hand on the helmet, Allister allowed it to shrink back into the piece of metal from before, fixing his hair, despite being upside down. "I take it you're the leader of Fairy Tail? I'm not assuming based on your age, but rather the fact that many of the papers in your office had your name under Guildmaster. I suppose it's an honor to meet you."

"Mmmmmm…" Shadow Prov tried to say, but due to the fact he was face first on the ground, his words were mere muffles.

"You can keep my ally on the ground if you want. I would prefer to speak one on one." Allister said without any concern for Shadow. Makarov raised a suspicious brow at this, but he chose not to say anything about it for the time being.

"Why did you come here?" Makarov said with a threatening tone. He was sure the Vexos and Spectres were trying to get some information on the battle brawlers and he wasn't going to let them go easily.

"I was curious." Was all Allister said with a mild shrug, which only irritated the master more. "We are on a tight schedule, sir. So if you can let me and my partner leave, I would appreciate it."

"And allow you to threaten my children?" Makarov questioned with a deep tone, squeezing both brawlers, though Shadow was the only one who reacted in pain. It was clear that Allister was trained with a calm mind, so it wasn't going to be easy to get any information.

"For what it's worth, I apologize." Allister said with a hand on his chest, though it was clear from his tone that he didn't mean it at all. "It's just that our mission is far more important, so certain actions will need to be made. Of course, we won't kill any of your children… Unless they continue to get in our way." Noticing the slight twitch on Makarov's brow, as well as the added pressure from his grip, Allister could tell he got the old man where he wanted him. With a slight smirk, Allister pulled out something from his suit. "As for you… I'll TRY not to kill you."

"What are you-" Makarov began to ask before he saw what Allister was holding, causing his eyes to widen.

"Bakugan…" Allister opened his hand, allowing a blue Bakugan to fall to the ground, tapping noises echoing through the Guild Hall. "Brawl."

The last thing Makarov saw was a bright blue light flash before him.

'Yakaboto Beach Retreat, the next morning'

The start of team Fairy Tail's second day at the Yakaboto Beach Retreat was anything but good, especially for the females of the group. In their designated room, the girls looked worse for where, with their hair looking like a mess and their faces devoid of any joy.

"Oh god, my head." Kallen groaned as she opened the blinds, only to close them due to the light hitting her eyes. Her robe was wrinkled and there were chip bits on her face. To top it off, her stomach felt terrible. "That's the last time I try drinking in another world. How are you feeling, Gurin?"

"Terrible." Was all Kallen's partner said as he rode her shoulder. Like the rest of the male Bakugan, he was feeling exhausted after what they went through. Who knew Tyna and Ingram would be so dominant and commanding? Honestly, if they entered a brawl like that, even the Vexos might feel intimidated.

"Again, we're so sorry for what we did." Tyna apologized to all the Bakugan with an embarrassed tone.

"It brings me such dishonor to know what we did." Ingram added as she bowed her head. As a warrior, to do something so cruel to her allies was both disheartening and embarrassing.

"I know what you mean." Levy said while surpressing a burp that was coming. She also felt like crap, but she was somewhat handling it more than Kallen. She turned around to speaking to the other girls. "What about you guys? How are you feeling?"

Alice's response came in the form of her vomiting into a small bucket she was carrying. Unlike the others, Alice's tolerance of alcohol was very low, hence why she felt sick in the stomach. When she tried to speak again, she threw up.

"Alice/stay/strong." Hydranoid tried encouraging while Vladitor did the same.

"Never drink again… Never drink again…" Sona repeated to herself while leaning against the wall, rubbing her temples. She attempted to wear her glasses, but it just made her headache worse.

"Why… Did we…" Tsubaki was the next to try and walk forward. Keyword: TRY. Every step she took, she would wobble a bit before she regained her composure, her deleveled hair getting in the way of her vision.

"It hurts so much…" Wendy moaned as she tried to use her magic to heal her head, yet it proved to be a fruitless effort on her part. It was unfortunate someone as young as her was coerced to take part in drinking, but as soon as she took her first sip of sake, she was out cold. The worst part was that she couldn't find Carla anywhere.

"Stay strong everyone. We must stay strong." Erza said stoically as she led the small group to the boys' room. While she was affected by the sake as everyone else(and unleashed her rather superior personality), the Titania of Fairy Tail was able to get right back up and move on. There were two questions that loomed over the girls: what happened to the boys and where were Lucy and Mira? It was kind of obvious Juvia would be with Gray, so they didn't need to worry too much about her, but the other two were another story. The smell of eggs and bacon entered their noises and they got closer to the room. Erza pulled the door open, finding the sight of Jet and Droy cooking their breakfast.

"Morning. You're just in time." Jet said with a smile, though it quickly turned to a frown as he and Droy saw their conditions.

"Feeling better?" Droy carefully asked while gesturing the women to sit on the pillows around the small table.

"We're getting there." Kallen replied as the women sat down, with Jet rushing to each of them with his magic, giving them their breakfast. "Where are the others?"

"Gray went to take a walk and Juvia went with him. I think Baron and Ace are still sleeping and Natsu…" Jet started trailing off while turning away from them, something they all noticed.

"Did something happen to him? And where are Lucy and Mira?" Tsubaki asked with a concerned frown. Jet and Droy looked at each other before scratching their heads and gesturing towards one of their rooms.

"They're asleep… with Natsu." Droy finally said as the gears in the others' heads began to turn. One guy plus two drunk girls… it didn't take a genius to know the implications of what might have happened and it was enough to make them all blush.

"T-T-They did IT?!" Levy stuttered with a bright blush. To think her best friend had her first time before her… it both shocked her and made her jealous. The other female brawlers and Wendy couldn't say anything that would be of any context.

As for Erza, however…

"HOW DARE THEY DO SOMETHING SO I-INDECENT!" Erza shouted as she stood up, summoning a sword with a furious expression on her face. Even with the blush on her face, she was still surrounded by a red aura. Yet unbeknownst to everyone, Erza Scarlet's mind was going through a lot of dirty scenarios in regards to what the trio did. Marching up to Natsu's room, Erza grabbed the handle and slid it open. "NATSU!"

However, rather than seeing Natsu, Mira and Lucy in bed, only the two females were lying on it, though the blanket on their bodies. As for the Dragon Slayer, he was sitting on the corner of the room, a look of pure exhaustion on his face.

"Please… don't yell." Natsu said in a tired tone, rubbing his face so he would stay away. Just seeing her friend's condition quelled Erza's rage as she kneeled in front of Natsu.

"What happened?" Erza softly demanded. She was pretty sure neither Lucy nor Mira slept with Natsu, given how he was.

"They wouldn't stop touching… they wanted to hug me everywhere." Natsu muttered as the events of last night flashed before his mind. Alice was going through mood swings, Kallen was eating, Sona and Wendy were passed out, Tsubaki was speaking in a slurry tone, made Ace and Baron her servants, yet the worst of all of them were definitely Lucy and Mira. "When they said they were tired, I was going to take them to their room. But they wanted a piggyback ride at the same time…" A shudder ran through Natsu's spine as he scratched his neck, which was covered by his scarf. "I just couldn't sleep after that. And Leo and Wilda…" Natsu turned his head to the small bedside table, where both Leonidas and Wilda were on, hiding in their ball forms.

"Well, breakfast is ready." Erza said while regaining her composure, standing up and offering a hand to Natsu, who grabbed it.

"Bacon… I really need bacon." And with that, Natsu and Erza went to join everyone.

Unaware of the danger that would come to two of their friends.

'With Gray and Juvia'

"Ice Make Cannon!" A burst of ice shot into the water, freezing a large chunk of it with ease. Gray Fullbuster, satisfied with the strength of his attack, lowered his stance, the cool morning wind blowing against his naked chest. He was the first to wake up after last night's… bizarre events, and because of that, he could now resume his training. Not only that, but because he was up, he could get an advantage on Natsu. 'Still, even if I wake up early, I'll never catch up to him.' Gray thought with slight frustration. He was glad to see Natsu was alright, but seeing how much stronger he had become really messed with their dynamic. There was also the fact that he had a Bakugan that can transform into a dragon at any time.

Hiding behind a tree as usual was Juvia, who stared at Gray with mild concern. 'Something's wrong with my darling Gray.' Juvia thought as she watched her crush preparing another spell. 'I have to do something to cheer him up. As his future wife, it's my duty to lift his spirits!' Eyes filled with fiery determination(which is rather ironic), Juvia took a step forward-

*Thud*

Only to accidentally bump into a rather tall being, though she did manage to regain her composure. "Oh, excuse me."

"Huh?" The person Juvia ran into turned his head, revealing the face of Grant. However, instead of wearing his usual clothes, he wore a topical open button shirt, revealing his impressive physique, brown shorts, sandals and a straw hat over his head. As soon as he noticed Juvia, a smirk appeared on his face. "Well, hello to you, beautiful. Why are you walking by yourself?" Grant asked in a flirtatious tone, which made Juvia smile rather forcefully.

"I-I'm not alone." Juvia replied as she pointed at Gray in the distance. Grant turned his head a bit before nodding.

"Hmmm, he's your boyfriend?" Grant asked bluntly, causing Juvia to blush as her eyes sparkled. "Or is he a crush?"

"He's the love of my life!" Juvia said with a dreamy tone, looking back at Gray as he launched a barrage of ice arrows. Unbeknownst to her, Grant was focusing his attention on the Ice Wizard, a brow raised in interest.

'So there's a guy who can use ice as weapons.' Grant thought while rubbing his chin. He was always looking for a challenge, and since this world seems to have people gifted with extraordinary powers, he would be able to find said challenge rather easily. There was also the tattoo on Gray's chest that caught his eyes. It was almost like some kind of insignia…

"There you are, DEAR." Grant was pulled out of his thoughts when a sickeningly sweet voice called out to him, along with two arms wrapping around his arm. Turning his head, Grant couldn't hide his smirk as he saw nothing other than Mylene Farrow. It was odd to see the only female of the Vexos wearing a one piece swimsuit, sunglasses, a handbag and a large hat, yet it wasn't any less entertaining. Mylene looked at Juvia with a forced smile. "Sorry if he was bothering you. I swear, it shouldn't be so hard to find you."

"Sorry, babe. I got lost." Grant said in an 'apologetic' tone before he looked at Juvia. "This is my fiance, Lyra." Hearing him call her a fiance made the Aquos brawler tighten her grip on his arm out of irritation, though she still kept her facade.

"Fiance?" Juvia asked as she turned back to them, a look of interest in her eyes. "Oh my. Congratulations."

"Thank you. It took a VERY long time for this one to propose." Mylene said through gritted teeth. This was NOT what she planned when she and Grant decided to blend in. It was like this asshole was playing with her. Mylene noticed Gray in the background before glancing at the water mage. "Is he with you?"

"Yes. He's the love of my life." Juvia said while letting out a dreamy sigh.

"I have to ask: do you have any powers?" Grant asked out of the blue, catching both Juvia and Mylene off guard.

"Powers? Do you mean magic?" Juvia asked with a confused tone.

"Now dear, we shouldn't bother her with any questions." Mylene told her 'fiance', though mentally, she was boiling in anger. 'Idiot! What are you doing?'

"What? Is it really bad to ask?" Grant said with a shrug. "We don't see a lot of magic, so when we see it, I have to ask." That part wasn't necessarily wrong as Grant did want to learn about magic. And what better way to ask then from the stalker of a mage? "Would you please tell us about his magic?" Juvia looked at the two, taking a moment to think about their question.

"Are you sure you've never seen magic?" Juvia asked as she crossed her arms under her bust(something Grant enjoyed). "It isn't uncommon to see magic, especially in stores that sell magic items."

"You can say we haven't kept up with the news, lately. Where we're from, magic isn't exactly something everyone has." Grant quickly corrected, trying his best to cover his tracks. It was clear by the way Mylene was crushing his arm that she was getting annoyed with his antics. 'Then again, it's her choice.'

"I see." Juvia nodded, buying into their lie. "Well, my darling uses caster magic, which allows him to use magic from his hands. He uses Ice Maker magic, which lets him create any item from ice."

"Ice Maker magic?" Mylene questioned, her brow raised mildly in interest. So aside from the flames Dragneel used, there are multiple types of magic, and from the little display of Gray's magic, it was very diverse. "Do you know of any other types of magic?"

"There's also Holder magic, which allows the user to use their magic through items when they can't be used for anything else. Shouldn't you know this?" Juvia asked out of curiosity. Even non magic users understand how magic works, yet the couple in front of her act like this was the first time they ever heard of it. Both Vexos and Spectre slightly narrowed their eyes, though it was so faint that no one would notice. Juvia was getting way too smart for their liking.

"Sorry, but we have our honeymoon planned out and we really shouldn't waste anymore time." Mylene said with a fake smile before she pulled Grant's arm. "Have a nice day." Before Juvia could say anything else, Mylene and Grant walked away.

"That was strange." Juvia said with a slightly suspicious tone. Normally, she would gush when it came to couples, yet a part of her was put off by the way those two acted. Not to mention the way they looked when she called out their intelligence of magic.

"Tell me about it." Gray said as he was suddenly behind Juvia, who jumped back in surprise.

"G-G-Gray!" Juvia stuttered, unaware that the love of her life heard what she was talking about with Mylene and Grant. "I-I wasn't doing anything!"

"Did you see the way they acted when you asked why they didn't know about magic?" Gray asked with a serious tone, ignoring Juvia's stalking for once. "Their eyes moved and that girl was hugging on that guy's arm tighter than you'd think, which means you hit something she didn't want you to know." He narrowed his eyes even more as he saw Grant and Mylene turning the corner. There was something about them that rubbed Gray the wrong way and while he would never resort to something like this, he needed to keep an eye on them. So without saying a word, Gray began walking after Grant and Mylene, something that actually surprised Juvia.

"Gray?" Juvia asked before she ran after her love.

"Stay close. Don't say anything." Gray whispered to Juvia as he rushed to catch up with the 'couple.' Confused more than ever, Juvia decided to simply go with Gray.

'With Grant and Mylene'

"So, you feel comfy wearing that?" Grant couldn't help but tease Mylene with a cocky grin. "If you decide to keep it, I'm sure you'll get someone to-" He was cut off by a swift punch to the stomach, courtesy of Mylene.

"Don't you dare." Mylene hissed with an angry tone. She hated being forced to keep up the facade, especially when she had to wear something so damn tight.

"Come on. You can't honestly tell me you haven't thought of a relationship." Grant said with a small chuckle before an idea popped up. "If you want, I might be willing to take you on a real date. Just this once."

"Drop it!" Mylene shouted as she pushed Grant away, her blue eyes burning holes into his head. "We didn't come here for that." Reaching into her bag, Mylene pulled out her Gauntlet a bit, which was beeping a red light. "Look, the Brawlers' signal is close, so the faster we do this, the quicker we can return to the others." Suddenly, Grant's smirk disappeared. "What?" Without saying a word, the Subterra Brawler quickly moved close, wrapping an arm around Mylene's waist and gently pushing her forward.

"We're being followed." Grant said in a serious tone before Mylene had a chance to shout her protests. As much as she didn't want to be close to this meathead, she had to play along for now. Wrapping her own arm around him, Mylene slightly glanced over her shoulder, briefly catching a glimpse of dark blue hair behind a palm tree.

"I knew these disguises were a waste of time." Mylene hissed quietly as she and Grant increased their pace. Yet despite what might happen, Grant still could let his smirk disappear.

"For what it's worth, I enjoyed the view." Grant joked, earning an even deeper glare from Mylene. Looking over his shoulder a bit, Grant couldn't help but sigh as he saw Gray and Juvia come closer to them. "Let's split up. We lose these two, then we get the brawlers." As much as Mylene disliked the idea of Grant giving her orders, he made a valid point. So with a small nod, the undercover brawlers separated, with Grant going right and Mylene going left.

'So they're splitting up to draw us away.' Gray thought with a sigh. It wasn't a brilliant plan per say, but it wasn't terrible either. Thankfully, since Juvia was with him and he was sure she wouldn't argue with him, Gray would be able to follow both of them. "Go with the girl. I'll go with the other guy." Gray whispered calmly to Juvia, who blinked a bit before she nodded.

"Okay." Was Juvia's response before she and her true love went their separate ways. It still felt a bit wrong, but considering the fact that Gray found them suspicious was enough for Juvia… for now, at least. So with that, Juvia went after Mylene while Gray ran after Grant, who seemed to be going towards the changing area for those who wish to go to the beach.

'With Grant'

Whistling innocently, Grant had his hands in his pockets as he walked past stall after stall, acting as if nothing was going wrong. He had to admit, Earthland had some pretty nice beaches for a place that seems to be lacking in technology. Hell, if he had to choose a place to vacation on, this would be it.

"When are we going to battle those Brawlers? I can't wait any longer." Grant's Bakugan asked while suddenly popping out of his shirt pocket. The inside of the pocket was getting too stuffy for her and as a Bakugan, she craved freedom and battle and all this stealth was infuriating.

"I know. But we've got a fly following us and I don't wanna cause a scene… yet." Grant told his Bakugan partner before he took a right turn, going behind a small hut.

'Where are you going?' Gray thought as he kept track of where Grant was going. He excused himself a few times when some bystanders got in his way. Even if this guy was hiding something and was a potential threat, he couldn't drag any of the people here in a fight if he could avoid it. Turning to the same corner Grant passed by, Gray was surprised to see that the tall male was gone without a trace. "What?" He was sure a guy like Grant wouldn't be able to run away in such a small amount of time. Looking around, Gray tried his best to find any clues as to where Grant could have gone, starting with his footprints. Kneeling down, Gray noticed that the footsteps were directed towards the forest, far away from the people. It was clear that Grant was trying to run away from him. Clenching a hand, Gray rushed towards the forest. Running through the large bushes and trees, the student of Ur continued to increase his pace, barely catching a glimpse of Grant's hat. "There." The closer Gray got to the hat, the more he realized that something was off. Rather than finding Grant, Gray ended up finding the hat, which was hung on a nearby branch. Slowing down, the ice mage walked up and picked up the hat, examining it with a deep frown. "Damn. He got away."

"You're pretty damn smart, pal." Feeling the hair on his neck straighten up, Gray quickly ducked as Grant's hammer swung past him, slamming against the tree. The force of it caused a majority of the leaves to fall. Spinning on his heel, Gray threw up a hard uppercut, slamming it against Grant's stomach. Rather than gasping in pain from the rather strong punch, Grant grinned in excitement, his hammer in hand. "Wooo, that is what I call a punch." Grant complemented, standing his ground while looming over Gray.

"Let me guess: you knew I was following you?" Gray asked rhetorically as he and Grant pulled back, a mere few feet away from one another.

"Your hiding skills might need a bit of work. Although, I guess I was a little too chatty with your girlfriend." Grant admitted while putting the hammer over his shoulder. However, his words seem to catch Gray off guard a bit. "Oh right, she's a fangirl… or a stalker. Eh, I'm not going to judge."

"So who are you, really?" Gray questioned seriously, putting his hands together as ice magic began to form.

"Name's Grant, and I'm looking for some people." Grant answered bluntly. He was already caught, so might as well say his name.

"Does it have to do with Bakugan?" Gray asked once again, his eyes narrowed even more. Hearing this, Grant began to chuckle while putting a hand on his face.

"Oh man, it was that obvious, wasn't it? I told Damus I'm not good with blending in, but no. He tells me to come here." Grant confessed while shaking his head, not missing Gray's eyes widen at the name of his leader. "I'm guessing you're friends with the battle brawlers. Guess that makes it even easier to hunt them down. But before you tell me where they are…" A challenging grin grew on Grant's face as he aimed his hammer at Gray. "You're gonna show me just how strong your powers are. Don't be afraid to fight with everything you've got."

'If I can get this guy back to the others, we might be able to get information on the Spectres and Vexos.' Gray thought to himself before a small smirk grew on his own face.

"You're on."

'With Juvia and Mylene'

As for the two water themed women, they were currently face to face with one another, with Juvia giving her a deep glare and Mylene smirking. "I knew that idiot Grant would blow our cover talking to you. But I suppose it couldn't be helped." Mylene admitted as she stared coldly at Juvia's eyes. There was just some unsetting about how cold she was. Just her gaze was enough to send a chill down Juvia's spine, though she steeled her resolve.

"If my darling Gray think there's something wrong with you, then I'll do what it takes to put a stop to your plans." Juvia said in a serious tone, opening her right hand as water began to form on it.

"I see you use water as a weapon." Mylene said with a look of interest before she reached into her bag, taking out a small device. Pressing it, it soon ejected a light blue electric whip, which crackled softly. "But I won't fall to someone like you."

With that, a new fight would begin.

Man, I just cannot stop doing these cliffhangers, can I? I suppose I have a strange fetish where I need to hype you guys up for what's to come. But still, I know there wasn't a brawl in this chapter, but I am leading it up to one involving Mylene and Grant. Speaking of which, I honestly had fun writing their dynamic: Mylene trying to be calm and Grant being blunt and a teaser. Some might think this was dumb, but it's also smart to have the villains blending in, like what the Vexos did in the series.

I also wanted to show off how smart the Spectres are, going to the place that the brawlers spent the most time in to get information. Don't worry, Makarov isn't dead. But the Guildhall might not be around… You'll see. I promise we WILL get a brawl and it WILL be epic. I hope this is at least a good taste as to what will come.
