United Effort

Todoroki charged up the icy ramp with his left arm encased in bright red hot flames. He quickly threw his arm forward and launched a torrent of fire towards the hero killer. Stain jumped and used the building to his left as a platform to dodge the incoming attack. Natsu however didn't give him a chance to breath and sharply crouched down and hurriedly made use of his electrical power to blast forward at amazing speeds. His right arm cocked back and the sparks danced furiously in response.

"Lightning Dragon's Breakdown Fist!", Despite being cornered however, Stain immediately jumped back and attempted a counter with the sword in his right hand forcing Natsu to retreat backwards.

"So he uses swords to gain access to his victims blood to keep them from moving huh?", commented Todoroki. Just as he crouched down into an attacking position he suddenly jerked his head to the right as a knife zoomed passed him,just barely grazing his cheek.

"Your friends are quite nice...Ingenium!", Stain took the opportunity to race forward with his knife in hand while simultaneously throwing his chipped katana into the air. Todoroki reacted and made an ice wall to block his enemy's attack but failed to notice the katana in the air until it was already in trajectory towards him.

"Cr-?!", Stain immediately threw himself behind the ice wall and extended his tongue towards Todoroki's open wound. The hero in training's fast reflexes kicked in and his left side burst into flames forcing Stain to retreat into the air. He quickly but away his knife and reached for the sword only to be interrupted by a lightning coated fist.

"Didn't forget about me did you?", Stain grinned at the pinkkette's comment and swiftly whipped out his knife.

"Tsk!", Natsu quickly dodged and used his lightning coated hand to shoot out a shockwave that knocked him backwards.

"Why...",Iida muttered under his raspy breath as his eyes traced the battle in front of him. Just as Natsu landed, Todoroki kicked the ground and launched spikes of ice towards Stain who simply sliced them in half in response.

"Why...are you three...", Iida struggled to form his sentence. His undying rage conflicted with his confusion as he watched his friends battle off against his sword wielding enemy. Todoroki switched to his flames while Natsu sent out an electrical wave in order to force their foe back.

"I've...inherited my brothers name!...Please...Stop!I have to be the one to do it!He's...that bastard is mine!", Iida's anger began to speak for him as he grinded his teeth and tried to move.

"You inherited it? That's strange", Todoroki scoffed without even turning to look at his fellow classmate. He deignited his flames and propagated more sharp glaciers towards Stain forcing the former backwards while Natsu hopped off the the solid platforms occasionally exhaling torrents of yellow carnage towards the hero killer.

"The Ingenium I saw before...", his eyes glanced at Iida for a second before exhaling a chilly breath. "..he didn't have that look on his face"

Iida moved his eyes to the back of the blue clad teen who merely supported the pinkette who was upfront still bravely engaging their foe in close combat despite the recent revelation of his quirk.

"You also got a lot going on with your family behind the scenes too right?", Todoroki narrowed his eyes towards Stain and fired off more ice pillars whenever Natsu had given him an opening. However Stain only needed to glance at his direction for a moment in order to expertly dodge both the pillars of ice and Natsu's furious electric coated fists.

'Todoroki-kun...!', Izuku, still battling with the suppression of his bodily functions suddenly widened his eyes as his index finger twitched. Natsu hurriedly shot himself backwards and grabbed at the ground to stop the effects of inertia as Todoroki created the perfect follow up with another long distance ice wall.

"I'm using electricity to boost my speed and he's still keeping up with me!", Natsu grunted as he came to a halt next to his odd hair colored friend. He quickly stood up and gripped his right hand into a fist as their defense wall was swiftly cut down.

"What idiocy...to block your own view against a more agile opponent!", Stain used some of the falling ice to launch himself into the air.

"I wonder about that!", Todoroki gripped his left fist and ignited his arm alongside Natsu who crouched down and prepared to launch himself towards the heinous criminal once more. However before they could even move Stain threw four of his hidden knifes at them.

"!", Natsu hurriedly jumped to his left but still failed to avoid one knife while Todoroki, who had no time to react, was stabbed right into his left arm with two knives, Natsu grimaced as the foreign object dug into his slightly tanned exposed shoulder.

"You two...are good too", a maniacal grin rose upon the hero killers face as he brought his sword above his head and aimed towards Natsu.

'I need to incapacitate the lightning one first!', Stain followed his instinct but as he approached the injured pinkette. Izuku leaped forward and grabbed the collar of his clothing and dragged him across the building as he slowly descended.

"Izu?!", Natsu and Todoroki looked at the green clad teen in shock as they moved back into a fighting stance.

"I can move normally for some reason!", Todoroki narrowed his eyes at Midoriya's response.

"A time limit?"

"No, that kid should have been the last one to get hit...I can't move yet", the injured hero quickly refuted Todoroki's question.

'This guy...his bloody type is O?', Stain elbowed Izuku's hand just as they approached the ground and jumped back to gain some distance.

"Get back Midoriya!", He however had no time to rest as Todoroki dished out more icicles forcing to jump back once more.

"Hi", Stain widened his eyes and quickly whirled his head around only for a bright yellow fist to connect with his face launching him even further back than he intended. Natsu, not wasting a single moment leaped backwards. The knife in his arm twisted about cause the wound to release more of his blood. Izuku coughed and rubbed his throat as Natsu retreated back towards them.

"Since I got free first I can think of three possible reasons, one his quirk is less effective with more people affected by it, or the amount ingested affects how long the condition lasts or...there could be a difference in effectiveness according to a persons blood type!"

"Blood type?...I'm a...B"

"I'm...type A"

"Blood type?", the corners of Stain's mouth rose into a crescent shape."That's correct"

"It's nice that you discovered that but...", Natsu grimaced as he forced his impaled arm into an uncomfortable position as Todoroki held his in pain.

"Yeah, we can't really do anything just by knowing his quirk...", Izuku muttered as he slowly stood up. Todoroki took a glance behind him before directing his voice towards Izuku.

"I want to hurry up and carry those two out of here but...", Todoroki trailed off as he pulled out the knives and tossed them aside.

"He reacts too fast, even Dragneel is barely keeping up with it"

"Yeah without your ice and fire he probably would have got me already...", Natsu narrowed his eyes and grinded his teeth in frustration.'I still can't move around that well with just my lightning...On top of that the fatigue is slowly piling up...'

"Close combat is probably something we should avoid until the pro's get here...I don't think we'll last much longer with our current strategy...", Todoroki kept his eyes on the hero killer, refusing to look away.

"Todoroki-kun, you and Natsu have shed too much blood...You two try distract him from here while I go upfront", Izuku got into a fighting stance and readied his fists.

"That's a big ri-"

"Yeah about that...", Natsu interrupted Todoroki and grabbed the knife in his arm and pulled it out. "I only have a few long distance move right now so that isn't much of an option for me"

"but Natsu! your blood is too exposed!", Midoriya glanced at his brother with his eyebrows creased to form a concerned expression. Natsu gave a toothy grin and waved him off.

"Yeah Yeah but I don't think you alone will be able to deal with his speed Izu, even with Todoroki backing you up", Natsu lined up next to the two and clenched his fist. Todoroki glanced at them and then looked forward once more.

"It's a bit reckless to have both of you in close combat but...yeah...", Todoroki grasped his hand, that was previously holding his injured arm, into a fist.

"We'll protect them!"

"Three against one huh? Two was already bad enough...This isn't going to be easy", Stain muttered under his breath. He crouched down and readied his katana in one hand with his short knife in the other. Todoroki took a glanced at the fallen Iida before refocusing himself to the battle ahead.

'Iida...I...truthfully have been worried about you ever since your brother was attacked...because I know...that face', Todoroki briefly remembers the time just before they all went their seperate ways. His eyes watching Iida from a distance. Midoriya and Uraraka, despite being so close had failed to truly look at their friend face, to see behind the facade he had placed upon himself.'The face of someone who acts upon pent up anger'

Izuku dashed forward and bounced off the building with his body glowed a soft green with occasional sparks dancing off of him. Natsu sucked in as much air as he could before launching an electrifying torrent towards Stain. Todoroki immediately followed up and swung his cold hand forward creating arches of ice.

'I know exactly how that can cloud your vision...'

Stain jumped on too a nearby building wall and bounced off it to avoid the Electrified icy hell but he failed to dodge the incoming punch from Izuku who was hopping off the buildings waiting for this chance.

'There is no way out of this without taking damage...', Stain quickly swung his knife in retaliation but Izuku forced himself into the air by jumping off an ice platform created by his supporter.'I'll have to avoid the electricity...'

'That day...', Todoroki's mind went back to the time where finally mustered the courage to go see his mother in the hospital.'I told her about everything that had happened...and..' Not giving Stain the chance to breath, Natsu dashed forward and swung his working arm towards Stain creating a crescent shaped blade of lightning. Stain clicked his tongue and was about to safely dodge and attack the injured pinkette when Izuku darted off the high ground and immediately began to cock his fist backwards. Stain hurriedly jumped away from the lightning and pointed out his katana as if to tell Izuku to back off.

'I told her about the person I have become', Suddenly a large chunk of ice slammed into Stain while he was caught off guard forcing even further back.'My mother cried and apologized. She forgave me with a smile surprisingly quickly'

The hero killer jumped up and growled. He gave a short animistic yell as he cut apart the ice. The continuous pressure of the attacks was beginning to make him flustered. His mind had no time to reorganize itself.

'She told me that for me to move forward without anything holding me back...would make her happy...it would be her salvation...', Todoroki's unheard voice continued towards just a few days ago when he was in front of his fathers desk having accepted the internship.'The old me would have never have chosen my old man's agency for internship'

'It was not that I had forgiven him'

'I have no intention of doing so'

'It was just so could get the experience from the man known as the number two hero. It was a fact that I had struggled to accept but now it was something I have seen with my own eyes.', Todoroki switched and threw a long stream of fire towards the agile enemy knowing he would dodge but still get struck but the lightning hidden from his field of view.

'No matter what kind of scumbag he is, even I had to appreciate the judgement and instincts of him', Todoroki grinded his teeth and violently threw his arm forward and intensified the fiery stream. 'Everything was so simple!, but even though it was simple I couldn't see it!'

'Just a few words...'

'Its your power isn't it?!'

'Those few words...', Despite Todoroki not voicing his thoughts, the pure raw feeling transmitted across to his fallen comrade. Iida's eyes trembled as he remembered the hero killer mocking him. Teaching him how to be a hero. The fact that a man who was avidly known as a hero killer could still lecture him on how to be a hero. The irony began to create the sense of guilt that slowly eroded the cloud that blocked his vision.

He could see them now.

He could properly see his friends fighting for their life.

Because of the mistake he had made.

Stain's eyes began to adopt a frenzied look to them. He could no longer rely on his disrayed mind.

So he switched to his instinct.

Izuku grimaced as Stain grinned and cut his leg. The former collapsed and forced his one eye open.

'His movements...they've changed!', Before the crazed villain could do more to the Successor of All Might, a wild yellow beam of sparks forced him to retreat.

"Izu!", Natsu clicked his tongue and continued to roar out electricity towards Stain to keep him off his brother.

"Please...stop...", Todoroki slightly turned his head while combining his fire with Natsu's roar to keep Stain at bay. He stared at Iida who muttered those words out in desperation.

"I'm already...", Iida's voice cracked as he uttered those words. Guilt had overtaken his mind. His eyes became fuzzy for a different reason this time as his lips started to quiver. Todoroki looked away from him and turned his attention back to supporting Natsu who had overtaken the role of close combatant. His mind had already processed the words he needed to say to Iida.

"If you want us to stop...THEN STAND UP!", He roared out a voice that none would expect of him. He made sure that the teen could hear him. Stain licked the blood on his blade just before Izuku could stand up. Droplet fell from Iidas eyes. He could only watch as Todoroki switched fire to ice. Suddenly the hero killer whipped his head towards the heterogeneous teen and charged towards him.

"Tch!", Natsu clicked his tongue and was about to follow him when he heard an abnormal crack come from his body. The pinkette slipped off the building and fell shoulder first onto the concrete ground.'Has the blood loss caught up to me?! The muscle fatigue from my lightning enhancement isn't doing me favors either! Dammit!'

"G..TodorOKI!", Natsu struggled to push himself off the ground as he yelled a warning towards his supporter. Todoroki braced himself and created an ice wall between him and the hero killer. However the frenzied monster continued to charge and simply cut through the teens defense with an animistic yell.

"LOOK PROPERLY AT WHAT YOU WANT TO BECOME!", His scream at first glance seemed to be directed at the hero killer as he ignited his wounded side and fired off a massive amount of fireballs.

But all those present knew who those words were directed too.

'What kind of hero am I?', Iida's eyes trailed towards Todoroki.'someone who's protected by their friends? or...' His eyes looked forward to see Natsu grinding his teeth as he struggled to stand. Blood flowed down his arm and had already accumulated enough to create a small puddle of dark red liquid beneath him. 'someone who has their friend shed blood for them?!'

'Why...didn't I save him first?' His eyes moved to the side to see the incapacitated hero beside him.

'The Hero killer, Stain...', Stain dodged all of Todoroki's attacks and took the advantage of the downed brothers to move closer to him.'I used my brothers name, to teach him a lesson...I couldn't see anything except...myself!'

"Huh? Tenya you want to be a hero too?", Iida closed his teary eyes as his brothers words began to replay in his head. He was taken back to his time as a child when he was helping his brother put away his hero suit.

"Yes! Nii-san your very cool!", The little Iida's arms moved up and down in a chopping motion as he spoke in a synthetic almost robotic voice towards his elder brother.

"What are you a robot?", His brother laughed as Iida handed him the chest piece of his suit.

"Can you tell me something I can use as reference for the future? Nii-san, how do you continue to work as a hero?", Iida asked as his brother opened the storage unit. He put away the chest piece before answering the young child.

"Hmm, well our grandfather and parents were all heroes too, so naturally I was expected to be one too by the people around me", Ingenium smiled and put his hand behind him to which the young Iida grabbed the nearby helmet and handed it to him."It's actually a lot more simple though" He took the helmet into his arms and stared at it.

"If someone sees a lost child they naturally take that child to the lost child center right? I think those kind of people are the coolest!"

"Then...why didn't you work for the lost child counter?"

"Would you think about what I'm saying?! What are you a robot?", His brother retorted with an annoyed expression. He soon sighed and then smiled again as he put his hand on Iida's head.

"You really take everything literally huh?", he ruffled his younger brothers hair."Your much more smarter and athletic than I was at your age...Huh wait a minute", He suddenly put his hand to his chin before giving the young Iida a toothy grin.

"If you admire me Tenya, the I might be able to become an amazing hero!", He laughed.

Iida's hands gripped at the ground, he slowly started to move his body.

'Its like you said Hero Killer...I'm...just a fake'

"Your right!", Izuku yelled at Todoroki just as the Hero killer used his ice to rebound off a building towards him. Todoroki quickly forced him back with another fire ball.

'I'm so immature...I can't hold a candle to them!' Iida's hands finally gripped into a fist.'Even so!'

"Heh", Stain suddenly dropped down and ran towards Todoroki dodge every attack the teen threw at him.

"I wonder if anyone has ever told you?", The hero killer grinned. Natsu gasped and started to force his body to move. However he collapsed again to his dismay.

"Todoroki dodge!", He could only yell as the villain moved closer towards him.

"Your so focused on your quirk that...", He dodged past the flames and moved his katana towards the teens arm with the intent to amputate it. "It makes you careless!"

'This damned monster!', Todoroki could only helplessly watch as the sword inched closer towards his arm.

But unfortunately for the hero killer.

There was someone who was tired of playing the victim.

'If I don't stand right now...I'll never...', The final remnants of his Iida's tears left his eyes as the engines on his legs flared up.'be able to catch up to them! or Nii-san!'

'Tch...It stopped working huh'

"Recipro...Burst!", Iida shot forward and used the armor on his kneecap to break through Stain's katana. He then in on quick motion spun around and used the footing on the ground to slam a jet powered quick right into the Stain which proceeded to blast the latter a few meters back.

"He's fast..."

"Iida-kun!", Izuku sighed in relief.

"You got free? That quirk isn't as great as the news made it out to be", Todoroki commented. Natsu breathed a sigh of relief before grimacing.

"Todoroki-kun,Midoriya-kun,Dragneel-kun...This had nothing to with you guys...I apologize"

"Are you still saying that you damn emergency ex-", Iida cut off Natsu's curses as he lifted his head with a vexed expression.

"Thats why I can't allow you three to bleed anymore that this!"

"Its no use trying to act reformed...", Stain loosened his grip on his broken katana to allow blood to drip past his fingers onto the floor. Iida's knee attack seemed to do alot more damage than any of them initially had thought."a persons essense does not change so easily",Veins began to exert a physical appearance across the killers face as he stared at Iida in anger.

"You will never be anything but a fake who prioritizes his own selfish desires! You are a cancer to our society that warps the idea of a hero!"

"and you're an anachronistic fundamentalist! Iida don't listen to the words of a murderer!", Todoroki encouraged the teen to turn a blind ear from the words of Stain.

"No, he's right...", Natsu narrowed his eyes but kept himself quiet as Iida continued to speak."I have no right to call myself a hero"

Blood dripped from Iida's shoulder wound and trickled down towards his clenched fist.

"But I cannot give in...if I do...then Ingenium will truly be dead!", Iida lifted his head high and glared at Stain whose eyes glowed red in response.

"Out of Question", The hero killer was about to charge towards them which led to Todoroki pushing Iida back.

However he changed his course.

"Natsu!",Izuku yelled as Stain moved towards the incapacitated pinkette. Todoroki moved fast and created an elevated ice floor that forcibly threw Natsu out of the way.

but he couldn't stop him from licking the blood from the floor.

"Crap!", Natsu had his bodies movement stolen from him as Todoroki used the ice to reel him in like a fish.

'Now that the pink haired one is out of the way...', Stain once more charged towards the group that had was now forced into a corner. Todoroki calmly fired more ice barrier his way and used that as an opportunity to switch to his fire.

"Oi! He's only after me and the white clad kid! Get out of here!"

"Doesn't look like he'll give us an opportunity to do so!", retorted Todoroki.

"And also isn't a bit too late to say that?", Natsu questioned the Native hero as he slid towards them. It was quite the horrofic sight despite his calm words as he left a blood trail on the ice as he moved.

'Something just changed...', Todoroki calmed himself and watched the hero killer.'He's starting to get desperate...on top of that his quirk doesn't last very long!'

'Taking on multiple opponents must have taxed him in someway...He's completely discarded Dragneel and Midoriya and is solely focused on killing Iida and the person behind us before the pro's get here'

Iida was about to step forward and help Todoroki fight but his engine refused to start.

'Oh no...Recipro is done...Did I break the radiator during my kick earlier?!', Iida grinded his teeth but then suddenly whipped his head towards Todoroki.

"Todoroki-kun can you regulate temperatures?!", He exclaimed as the idea came into his head.

"I'm not used to it with my left why?", Todoroki answered him while keeping Stain away from them.

"I need you to freeze my legs! Without plugging up the exhausts!", Todoroki turned his head towards him, creating the opening Stain needed.

"Your in the way!", Stain aimed a knife towards Todoroki and threw it. Luckily Iida moved his arm to cover him in response resulting in the knife penetrating him instead.

"Iid-?", Midoriya was about to yell once more when he suddenly realized he could move again. He took a quick glance at his cut leg to see that the blood had already increased in proportion.

'Can I do it? No right now...', One for All flared up and erupted in green sparks around him.

"Thanks Todoroki!", Iida took advantage of the adrenaline pumping though his blood to ignore the pain and rip out the knife from his arm as Todoroki froze his leg.

'I'll toss away my arm...', The engine on Iida's calves burst out creating a hot blue plasmic flame.

"You know...", an uncharacteristic grin appeared on Natsu's face as he slowly lifted it up."I hate being ignored!"

A storm of flames swirled around him as the pinkette rose from the ground. Todoroki glanced at him in disbelief.

'He got free? Already?!'

'Even if his blood type is O...', Stain widened his eyes as Lightning and fire swirled around the pinkette.'That's too quick!'

"Recipro...Extend!"

'One for All: Full Cowl!'

"Lightning Flame Dragon's Fist!"

Natsu and Iida shot forward alongside Izuku. Natsu came from the right, Iida went straight at him and Izuku came from the left. Stain instantly knew...

There was no way for him to dodge.

Todoroki tossed aside his disbelief and collapsed down to one knee. An unusual smile formed on his face as he watched his three friends go forth.

"Go!"

'As long as I have my fist!'

'As long as I have my leg!'

Iida slammed his leg into his ribcage and Izuku hit him right in the jaw while Natsu smashed his fist right into his cheek.

"Thats all I need right now!"

"THIS IS FOR MY ARRRMMMM!"

and with fists and legs filled with justice...and unusual grudges, the Hero Killer had finally fallen.
