The next morning, Lincoln was in charge of issuing a wake up call to Clarke and Octavia for their journey back to the dropship. Breakfast was also served for them as they were still guests in the city. Bread, eggs, and fruit with the occasional slabs of meat that were partially left over from the night before if they weren't eaten otherwise. It was almost like having steak, and steak was among the rarest of foods to appear anymore. Then again, meals like this were rare to Clarke and Octavia, along with the rest of the crew from the sky.
"I'm glad you're okay. I wasn't sure if I'd see you again." Octavia said to Lincoln, seeing that his wounds done to him were looking a lot better thanks to their healers. He only gave her a nod in return, remaining silent enough to replenish himself on food for their long journey. He wasn't too happy about having to return to the same place where he was held captive.
Clarke was also being silent meanwhile. And who could blame her? Too much was at stake. Too many emotions tugging on her heartstrings about the current situation she had put her people in. More importantly however, she was worried about the future of herself and what might happen if things go the wrong way. Everyone fighting each other, the rest of Arkadia in the sky dying one way or another. And Anya? Anya. Of all the things that have taken turns in her life, this one caught her attention the most like there was some unspoken thing between them. Except she had a feeling it was something she never experienced before and would never have dared to try otherwise.
She felt silly thinking about it. Maybe because of her age, her occasional dabbles with other partners that never quite seemed right, or the part where this sprung on her in the middle of a war.
Love. Or so she thought. But even then, Clarke had never been close with anyone to really know what that was, nor did she really pay attention to those who tried to explain to her how it felt. And there was always the one thing scarier than dealing with love is the thought of being loved back. Clarke thought back on their kiss again for about the tenth time that morning. Their first kiss could have meant anything from distracting her from other matters at hand to being a notch on someone's post. When their lips met again, Clarke extinguished such thoughts otherwise. She came to terms that she had strong feelings for Anya and Anya must be experiencing similar feelings about her as well. If only they can make it through the next few days without dying, she thought.
Their breakfast was just about finished when servants began cleaning up. Instantly, Clarke and Octavia heard heavy footsteps again coming toward them like the sound of a small army. They expected Lexa to be on her way to them to come and collect them for their journey back to the dropship. But instead, the doors opened and a grounder warrior appeared. She was tall and intimidating, a heavy look of mean playing across her face. Clarke began to think this grounder wasn't an accepting one as some of the others.
"Stand up, sky scum. The Commander is waiting for you." Her strong voice shook the walls as they stood up and followed along. Clarke and Octavia shot up from their seats to comply. "Move now. You won't be asked twice." They followed along with the group of grounders out of the building, feeling almost as if they were being held as prisoners instead of being guests now. Lincoln had no choice but to follow along with them seeming conflicted with their approach.
Meanwhile outside at the horse stable, Anya had saddled up upon Crescent neared toward to do the same with Midnight so that Clarke would be much more at ease on the journey back. Her head hadn't been too clear since the night before either. Her mind was pacing back and forth wondering if she made the right decision to kiss Clarke. She was her own woman and no other grounder on the plain owned her or her decisions but her timing could have been better. At the end of the day, Anya sort of enjoyed new company in her life.
"Eat eat. You need your strength for yet another journey." She whispered to Crescent.
Walking down from the main tower, Commander Lexa appeared to meet Anya at the stable with too many things on her mind. It was tough trying to manage a bundle of alliances and dealing with another that fell from the sky. It didn't help that she didn't get much sleep the night before thanks to some company after Clarke had turned her offer down. She wasn't used to rejection often, especially when it came to keeping her bed warm.
"I see that the Sly Crew are late as predicted. Perhaps I've put too much faith in another alliance for the simple task of showing their faces. If we relied on them like this for a war, we'd be dead already." Lexa spoke to her second, carefully eying her at the same time. "Titus doesn't believe they can be trusted among us. He tells me that they are a greater threat than we can anticipate." Anya paused and tried not to roll her eyes too much while feeding Crescent a few carrots.
"There you go again believing any word he has to say. What good is a visionary to us if he only acts to tell you what you want to hear and not what is actually present?" Need I remind you his false outcomes about the Azgeda?" Anya retorted.
"And yet the Ice Nation still fails to impress me. They're too arrogant. Though this Sky Nation, however, they're different. At least that's what I'm feeling." Lexa said. "This Clarke person, she acts as though she is the one who leads them. May I ask what your opinion on her is?"
Anya sighed and grazed her hand across her horse getting the idea that somehow Lexa had figured it out about them and it was only a few hours. "She's too foolish to be their leader." She vaguely lied. "With time they could become a necessary ally, Heda. But what I think on pressing matters as such shouldn't be of any concern on your judgements. That is why you are who you are. That is why we follow you."
Lexa nodded her head unable to further gather any sort of proof that Titus had told her the truth. "Your opinion means the most to me, Anya. That is why you are my second. Sometimes I think I should be the one following you." Their conversation didn't continue much longer as they mounted themselves up onto their horses, Anya to Crescent and Lexa to her own she called Gemini. In fact when Lexa began to speak again, Midnight had let out a semi loud neigh and huffed out. Anya usually understood every sound and move from the horse and turning her head behind them led to the reason.
Clarke and Octavia walked along with the group of grounders that had snatched them from breakfast. Their swords and spears were drawn and out. They were still under the impression that the two were to be kept prisoner, and marching front and center was Indra leading them out towards the stables with anger and rage fueling her steps.
"Heda, we have retrieved the scum from their quarters. No more food shall be wasted on them." Indra spat out.
By this point, Anya had quickly dismounted her horse and approached the opposing grounder in a stand off. "These two are not your prisoners, they are the Heda's guests and you will treat them as such."
"It's a good thing you are not my Heda." Indra sneered. "Otherwise I'd have a good enough reason not to take your head clean off of your shoulders."
"Touch me and die yourself." Anya challenged before a brief moment of surprise washed over her as Indra's hand had grabbed at her throat, squeezing tightly. Anya did not falter or hesitate for a second, matching Indra's strength and turning it against her. The grounder twisted the hand away before she delivered a swift kick to the back of Indra's knee causing to fall down before them. Anya quickly grabbed the small blade from her waistband and held it to the grounder's throat looking for her to beg for mercy.
"Enough!" Lexa exclaimed. "I will not have war within the sanctuary of these walls! Let these two sky people go and carry on about your duties, Indra." Anya had scoffed and let Indra free from her death with a shove to the ground, muttering a few Trigdasleng words under her breath. "Allow us to set an example of how things are around here, Skaikru. Clarke Griffin, you will ride with me. Octavia, you will ride along with Anya. Will there be any problem for this arrangement?" Clarke and Octavia quickly shook their heads.
"With me, short one." Anya brought Octavia over to her horse and helped her mount up while Lexa assisted the same action to Clarke. They briefly exchanged looks to one another before Lexa made sure Clarke had a firm grip around her, shifting her eyes to Octavia's hands around her waist. "Hold tight, we won't be moving slow for awhile. If you fall-"
"Yeah yeah, you'll leave me behind and I'll walk. Hard to forget." Octavia said back with a bit of sarcasm that made Clarke smile and feel more safe.
"Quick learner, I see." Lexa rode up beside them as their horses began to trot towards the opening gates to begin yet another journey outside of home. "Let us arrive before nightfall. Clarke of the Sky People, it's going to be a long ride back. Perhaps you can enlighten me about your arrival here and what we should expect from your people."
"As you wish, Commander."
Trotting out of the gates, Anya and Lexa wasted no time getting Crescent and Gemini to pick their speed up moving forward. Clarke took this time to construct what she was going to tell Lexa, what they were going to do when they arrived at the dropship, and how alert she'll have to be when it comes to confronting her own people about their future. Maybe this was the time to learn from the higher grounders they were riding with about how to shape herself into the leader they see and fear. And with Anya riding next to her, she knew no harm would come to them. All on Lexa's mind was how soon she would see the revelation Titus told her about, the actions he swore he saw Clarke of the Sky People and her second outside their rooms.
Their next destination was back to the dropship.
"They've been gone way too long. Fuck, how could we just let them go like that?"
Back at the dropship the rest of the delinquents were impatiently waiting for the return of Clarke and Octavia. Fear was starting to get the better of them. Even with the marker outside their post, no grounder attacks were attempted or even spotted anywhere in sight of perimeter. The Grounders made good on their word but it wasn't good enough for them.
"Bellamy dude, that's your sister out there and you let her walk off with them."
"I don't want to hear any more from you, Murphy. Fall in outside."
From their tent emerged Bellamy, Finn, and Murphy taking the time to try and formulate a plan to tell to the rest of their group if they were even ready or not to listen. Most of them looked to Clarke as their leader before anyone else and with her gone, Bellamy was finding it difficult to keep their morale boosted. Supplies were beginning to drop by the day without a source to keep it flowing. When the rest of their people were going to make their attempt down from space, that's when the real test was going to begin.
Bellamy looked across the camp feeding more wood to their fires to last them them for the night as the sun began to set off in the distance. Others were going back and forth bringing more wood over to their piles, scouts were watching each entrance for any sign of Grounders. He wasn't good at this like Clarke was, now all the responsibility fell on his shoulders which meant if one thing went wrong, he would be to blame.
"I think tomorrow we should go looking for them." Finn spoke up. "If Clarke was able to find them overnight then it shouldn't be hard to find them with more of us."
"And then what, genius? Wait for both sides to tear each other apart over one dumb blonde?" Bellamy turned and grabbed Murphy by the collar of his jacket, letting his instincts get the better of him.
"I've had enough of your shit ever since we landed down here, John." Finn tried to keep them for going at it in front of their own people.
"Hey, assholes. Get a grip." Approaching the trio from her own tent was Raven who nearly overheard the entire conversation from inside. "This is why no one here is taking you seriously because all you dipshits want to do is fight and drink and party. If Clarke hadn't left then we'd be lost on what to do, she's out there trying to get a better look at our situation and you want to shoot now and ask questions later. Smart." Bellamy loosened his grip and exchanged apologies with Murphy. Suddenly, it was Murphy who brought his hand up to silence the group.
"Please tell me I'm not the only one who hears that." Between the small talk of others and the sparks cracking at the fire, there was another sound that began to pick up rapidly and it was one they grew to fear over the last few days; horses.
"That has to be them." Bellamy answered him and quickly moved out towards the entrance to signal them to open up their gates. "I want everyone to take point with me here. No one makes any sudden moves, no one raises any weapons and no one does anything irrational. Guns down but stay ready." Everyone began to scramble around in almost a panic again like from the night before. These horses sounded heavier and louder than the last time the Grounders visited which could only mean there were more coming to them. With Clarke and his sister Octavia possibly in range of their crosshairs, Bellamy didn't want to take a chance with confrontation.
The sight of multiple Grounders on horseback with some holding torches to bring light to their paths caused some of the delinquents to freeze up in their place. It was nearly horrifying for them to see that their death could come at any moment with this small army riding towards them. It wasn't until they got closer to the entrance where some of them spotted Clarke on the back of one of the horses with the face of a new Grounder riding with her to safety. Bellamy had to remind everyone to stay calm and not make any sudden movements as the horses started coming to a halt before the gates as their riders dismounted them. They were definitely a small army large enough to overtake the dropship if they wanted to.
With a handful of troops supporting them from behind, Clarke and Lexa walked onward with Anya and Octavia beside them toward the obviously scared convoy of delinquents. Lexa, in particular, wandered her eyes all around the area as she was trained to do looking for any weak points, escape routes, living quarters, anything to keep in the back of her mind to further her knowledge of the people on the ground.
"That's their Commander? Really?" Murphy whispered before being hushed by Raven.
"So this is Skaikru." Lexa addressed each and every one delinquent. "There's no need to be on edge with us standing here at your gates. We accepted two of your own into our home the previous nightfall without hesitation. We provided them with some of our food supply as well as beds to rest in and no harm came to them. I only ask the same hospitality can be given to us."
"And what more do you want from us?" Bellamy responded rather quickly getting a glare back from his sister.
Lexa didn't seem impressed too much that this was their second in command behind Clarke, she could see why she was their clear leader far more than him at this moment. "Clarke has told me everything about your current struggle. You have mouths to feed and even more waiting in the sky to come down to join us. The way I see it, we can solve each other's problems." From her side, Anya moved over to whisper something in Trigdasleng into her ear, motioning with her eyes to a certain someone in front of them. "We have plenty to discuss. As a sign of good faith, we have brought some of our supplies here. Food, clothing, what ever your people need. The only thing I ask in return is that the one named Raven Reyes to step forward for me." From the turning of some heads, it didn't help her situation if she was trying to hide out.
Between seeing both Clarke and Octavia alive and well, Raven didn't believe she had anything much to fear from the Grounders other than the fact that they knew her name. As she said, no one here was really taking Bellamy that much seriously and with Clarke back at the dropship, things could actually happen around here. The brunette took a deep calming breath and took her steps forward out to reveal herself to Commander Lexa, whose head turned slowly in awe of the woman before her. And Raven didn't stop there. She made her way down to where Clarke and Anya were standing beside one another and was only a few feet shy of the Commander herself.
"Is there something I can help you with?" Her voice went a little demanding. She watched as the so called Commander studied her over more than once, remaining silent as her captivating green eyes did the talking this time. Anya could almost see what was going on and slightly rolled her eyes at the situation.
"You are the one responsible for the death one of our own." Anya spoke for her speechless Commander. "Your bomb killed one of our most talented warriors in training, a very important member of our clan. The Commander is looking to have you tried for your crimes."
"Tried?" Raven repeated looking confused. "Tried for what? You assholes were the ones that impaled Jasper with a spear and nearly killed him."
"Nearly." Anya barked back to her.
"You aren't trying me for anything. You hurt one of ours and we hurt one of yours, the end. You want to push everything aside from that and start working together? Shit, I'm all in. I'm getting tired of all this fighting with everyone. But no one is getting tried here unless members of your clan want to volunteer to go first." Raven confidently stood her ground against Lexa and Anya for the delinquents and more importantly for herself. With a group of Grounders including Anya throwing her glares, Lexa's eyes were still fixed on her looking her up and down, confusing Raven and then some.
"Perhaps..." Lexa found her voice suddenly in the midst of the silence. "Perhaps we can come to an arrangement of things. Clarke, will you allow us to make camp here overnight or would you prefer us to further journey back to one of our own encampments?"
"Please stay. We have plenty of room and there won't be any problems between our people." The blonde was met with looks from both sides and this was starting to take a toll on her mental being. "Will there, guys?" She looked towards the gun wielding trio across her way consisting of Bellamy, Murphy, and Finn who had to take a talk among themselves to decide. After a couple of seconds, Bellamy sighed and came to a decision waving them on in a welcoming way even if some felt more threatened than relieved.
"We can't turn down supplies right now, we'll take what we can get right now and we greatly appreciate it. All right guys, let's help them load up the supplies and find room for them to set up their camp. Under no circumstance are we to consider them hostile and that goes the same for us, we're friendly."
"And then we get back to the party!" Octavia shouted out and darted towards the provisions cart to instantly start to help out both sides of people to unload the cart full of food supplies and clothes as promised by the Commander.
Anya huffed and muttered something in Trigdasleng underneath her breath and urged Lexa to join her off to the side much to her dismay. Clarke was finally hoping to speak with her as they've been distant from each other since the night before. Raven on the other hand had plenty of updates to bring to Clarke's attention about their current situation and the rest of the Ark ship above. Clarke and Anya exchanged the smallest of glances before going their separate ways.
"Arrogant. Foolish. Selfish. Embarrassing, even. These are not the ways I trained you in. Now we look soft and weak because you couldn't control yourself over the sight of one, especially her after what she did. This puts shame on Tris' memory, Heda."
"Do not speak to me like I am a child, Anya."
"Stop acting like one and start being our leader. We don't have time for these games right now."
"Then explain to me your actions the previous night with the Skaiprisa. Tell me that your thoughts aren't clouded as we speak."
To her surprise, Anya could only take a guess as to how to Lexa would know such information about her own actions and didn't figure Clarke was the type to spill so quickly. 'Fuckin' Titus' muttered underneath her breath while her and Lexa were at a standstill with each other.
"Nothing happened, Heda." Anya went uncharacteristically quiet from her Commander. "My thoughts are on survival and yours should be too."
Lexa folded her arms across her chest to her. "Anya, this is you and me. I've never hidden anything from you and I would expect you not to do the same to me. I promise that I will work things out here and do what is best for our people and for our future and I will always have you by my side. Don't you dare think for a second I have forgotten anything you have taught me because I burned it all into my memory." Anya bowed her head slowly with a sigh without much more say in the matter and started to ease away from their conversation.
"Then I will continue to serve as your second without question. Do not put these doubts in my head again, Heda." Anya set off to find Clarke and to get away from both of their people. Lexa, on the other hand, set off to look for Raven for her own personal matters. Aside from their conversation, Raven had filled Clarke on the situation at hand regarding the rest of the Ark in the sky and showed her coordinates for their possible arrival points. She was a little disappointed in the rest of the group that weren't entirely focused on this and instead were trying to make small talk with the grounders out by fireside. Lincoln had especially been sending piercing glares towards Bellamy while Octavia sat and talked with him. She was so intrigued by him and hated the fact that no one wanted to get along with each other.
Meanwhile...
"Thanks a lot, Rae. Tomorrow we can regroup and we can figure out what kind of treaty or deal we can make with the Grounders and get the rest of our people down here." Clarke had been so busy with dealing with the situations on the ground that she had begun to miss her mother who was stuck on the Ark up in space. She longed to hear her voice again regardless if she was scolding her or telling her that everything was going to be okay. Her biggest wish was to see how much the ground has helped her change and grow as a leader. The blonde let out a small yawn and gave Raven a small side hug. "You should get some sleep too. Big days are coming for us."
"Let's hope." Raven was happy to have Clarke back into their group. Things weren't the same around the camp without her and Octavia here with her. "I have a ton of work to finish up in here, maybe I'll turn in soon." The two friends exchanged smiles to each as Clarke made her exit from Raven's tech quarters.
Clarke hadn't slept in her own bed in days and she was so close to it. The sounds of the party outside grew a bit louder with laughter and cheers. This could actually work out between the two clans and things would finally look up for them. She took a secret back way to avoid the group from seeing her, all she wanted to do was disassociate in her own bed and possibly do a sketch or two in the meantime.
So close.
Clarke got the front entrance of the dropship unseen, or so she thought. Only one person managed to find out where she would be and coincidentally it was the only person Clarke wanted to see. She stopped in her tracks a few feet away and curled her lips into a tiny smile.
"Anya." The Grounder woman would never want to admit something like this to any, let alone herself, but her heart and mind came to peace with one another with Clarke around. This was never the plan. "I, um, I'm actually about to turn in for the night these last few days have gotten me pretty exhausted and I..." Clarke caught herself rambling and collected herself quickly. "I would be happy if I had some company with me in my bed tonight. As much as I want to be alone right now I don't want to be alone. If that makes sense."
Anya could only muster up the tiniest of chuckles to the Skaiprisa. She had to admit to this that Clarke had far exceeded any expectations she had for any outsider of their clan. Clarke was undoubtedly their leader even if the others didn't see it yet.
"Must I remind you again, Skaiprisa?" Leaning off the entrance of the ship, Anya positioned herself only but a few feet away from Clarke as the two exchanged their looks again from before.
Clarke shook her head. She understood clearly now and she wasn't prepared to waste any more time thinking about it. "No, I remember. I talk too much." The blonde took the initiative on herself and closed the gap between her and Anya and forgot the world around them. Just the two of them together as one, in Anya's warm embrace, as Clarke replayed the Grounder's actions from the night before and captured Anya's lips with hers. If anyone saw them, she didn't care. Neither of them did.
Anya returned their kiss without hesitation. She too was starting to feel exhausted from the past few days. It was hard enough watching over Commander Lexa and guiding her towards the unity of all the clans, the rigorous training she did for their army along with scouting out areas for food and outsiders. But with the feeling of Clarke's presence around her, something began to change the feeling of wanting to isolate her feelings off. Her hands found the side of Clarke's hips, and Clarke's hands trailed up to cup both of Anya's cheeks, giving their second kiss a much needed deeper feeling to it. Her hands felt warm against her face and she hated people touching her face.
"Clarke..." Anya silently gasped out her name as their lips parted from each other, the Grounder woman easing back a bit.
But Clarke didn't want this moment to become lost between them. Not right now. One of her hands left Anya's face and a finger pressed to her lips.
"Tomorrow. We can talk tomorrow. Right now, just be with me." Clarke broke away but held onto Anya's hand to guide them through the entrance of the dropship away from all of the Grounders and all of the delinquents. Luckily Clarke's quarters weren't that far from the entrance only down a couple of short hallways and at the very end of one on the right. The blonde led the grounder warrior inside her room and sealed the door shut behind them. A couple seconds had passed while Clarke faced the shut door, secretly smiling to herself and finally getting to enjoy something worth while since falling from the sky.
She turned around to Anya checking out her room between the pile of clothes bunched up in the corner to her number of sketchbooks she had placed on a table next to her bed. Some day she would like to show Anya what she can do inside of those pages. Some day she would love to sketch Anya herself.
Without missing a beat from outside, Clarke walked to the edge of her bed where she sat down and began to remove her shoes. The second one barely had time to fall off and hit the floor when Anya lifted Clarke's chin with the simple touch of her finger and crashed their lips back together again, this time their kisses starting to pick up their pace much like their sudden need for each other. The flame between them had only begun to burn hotter and neither showed signs of slowing down. Clarke's tongue found the inside of Anya's mouth, while the Grounder woman had laid Clarke back on her bed not once breaking their kiss up, snaking one of her hands up into Clarke's shirt, slowly touching and feeling up Clarke's body until she reached her bra.
A soft muffled moan escaped from Clarke's mouth and into Anya's, the grounder battling her tongue back against Clarke's as her hand slid underneath the bra that was in the way and latched onto Clarke's breast. She could feel the smirk curving from Anya's lips as she broke their kiss away and made herself more comfortable on the blonde. Their eyes locked instantly as the two panted quietly, each looking to one another for a sign to continue.
"Strip." Clarke gave out a devilish smirk.
"As you wish." Except Anya followed her command without her exact verification and began to lift Clarke's shirt over her head, peppering kisses up her body up to Clarke's chest. Unwilling to protest, Clarke laid back and enjoyed the moment. Seconds later Anya had replicated from memory how Clarke's bra came off the first night together and tossed it aside. Above her, Anya had begun to do the same, stripping off her jacket and layer of shirts underneath, allowing Clarke to see the perfection of her body and the tolls it came with. All of her scars, burn marks, tattoos, little details that Clarke missed from the first sight.
"You're drooling again, Skaiprisa." Anya remarked and latched her lips to Clarke's neck, kissing and sucking exact spots she somehow knew were to become Clarke's weakness. She wanted more and her impatience was starting to get the better of her, rolling her hips up against Anya's with more soft moans following them. The grounder's lips greeted Clarke's chest and instantly began to pay attention to Clarke's breast, sucking softly on one while her fingers teased the other to appease to Clarke's pleasure. She was going to treasure every single inch of Clarke's body tonight the way she felt it deserved. Trailing her mouth to the opposite breast to give it the same treatment, her free hand skid down Clarke's body to fumble with the belt of her pants.
Clarke was two seconds away from giving in to the pleasure, wanting to beg Anya to take her, to love her, to fuck her tonight like no one has ever before. Two seconds away from breaking and letting the grounder have her way with her in her bed. The belt came loose and she felt those hands tug her jeans down slowly in one go. Anya had no problem taking her time to tease Sky Princess, urging her to become putty in her hands. She would allow Clarke to do the same in return but not until all of her needs were met first. Clarke's underwear slid down her legs in one hand, the other already teasing the wet pool that became between the blonde's legs. A swipe of her thumb over her clit gave the first loud moan of the night, one of many to come that Anya was prepared to bring out of her.
The last thing Clarke heard before the sound of her moans overtaking the room was a Trigdasleng term Anya muttered out, translating out to 'so beautiful you are', before Anya had buried her face between Clarke's legs and worked her tongue against Clarke's already glistening folds. The grounder woman made sure this was something Clarke would never forget for what ever the future was to hold for them. She was Clarke's, and Clarke was hers. She lifted the blonde's legs up onto her shoulders and held onto her thighs for support, burying her tongue deeper into Clarke's cunt to a series of fuck and ungh noises from Clarke's mouth. Working her into a faster rhythm, Anya used her strength to support Clarke's legs and pushed two fingers into the girl, pumping them in and out while her lips attached to the girl's clit. It was only a matter of minutes before Clarke's strength could no longer prolong the inevitable the way Anya was fucking her, expertly using her tongue and fingers to bring Clarke to her orgasm, clinging the blonde's shaking thigh to her shoulder to let her know she was there and helping her ride it out for as long as she could.
Climbing back up Clarke's body, Anya pressed a soft kiss to Clarke's lips, the blonde tasting herself while trying to catch her breath. Never in her life had she experienced something quite like what had just happened, never with another person at least. And she was so grateful to experience with the grounder on top of her. Wanting to recoup with stamina and return the favor, Clarke attempted to flip them over on the bed but was met with a soft chuckle.
"It is time for you to rest, Sky Princess. Your journey for peace is not yet over." Anya cooed to her. "But you are off to the right start." Not wanting to completely disappoint Clarke by ending their night early, Anya cuddled to the side of Clarke's body and removed her black pants and the rags that were with it. Clarke sighed happily and rested her head onto Anya's chest, draping an arm over her body and respecting Anya's decision to halt her advances for the rest of the night.
"Promise me you won't leave in the night." Clarke had whispered after a deep yawn. "You'll still be here with me in the morning." Anya lifted her face with once more and gave Clarke the most reassuring kiss she could give, washing away any and all doubts she had the for the rest of the night, for they will deal with all matters in the morning.
"You have my word, Skaiprisa." Shortly after, Clarke had drifted off asleep with Anya soon after. If nothing else went their way from then on forward, they were both content with just having tonight together without any consequences to face them.
Their next stop was to create peace within their clans.
Quick Author's Note: Thank you always for your patience and I hope you enjoyed Chapter 5! This was definitely my most challenging chapter for me to write out, decided to add a little spice towards the end for all the waiting around. There is something important I would like to add here in this note. This story is now three years old with 5 chapters to show for it. Though I would love to have written more for it, I haven't watched the show in about 3-4 years myself and have no real desire to anymore. This started out as a one shot and turned into a story and I'm grateful to have done that for this ship personally because I love this ship. What I'm trying to get to here is that it's difficult at times to write for this story with my now lack of knowledge of what happened on the show as I try to loosely follow events. And for that reason, I believe that I may only have a couple of chapters left in me to write for this story and I think that is what's best. Chapter 5 was the longest chapter to date and I promise for however many left I choose to end with that they will be just as good, if not better, for the story. Thank you all again for reading and supporting and I hope many of you will be happy with this decision being made because I want to make this the best story I can for this ship. Be well, and here's to Clarke and Anya!
