So, I hope you all enjoy!

As Chiyo walked alongside Hiyori towards the latest shrine Yato and Yukine were spending the night at, she smiled bittersweetly down at the old leather bound journal she slowly flipped through.

The kanji contained within the pages was old, so old that only a few gods could read it nowadays and perhaps some Regalia who had survived for long enough. Even still, this journal was her greatest treasure even as it felt as if it could tear her heart out with each character she read. So much love was contained in these letters and she knew he and her exemplar had done everything to make sure she had the complete collection of letters…before everything went horribly, horribly wrong.

Even when they reached the shrine, Chiyo did not stop reading, simply sitting behind Yato and beside Yukine as Hiyori passed the boys the two bento boxes she had made for them before school. She ignored all the conversation around her (i.e. Hiyori and Yukine insulting Yato) and just…kept reading.

'Every day I spend here is another day I miss being by your side. But I promise, when this is all over, we will leave and settle down, where you can grant any wishes you like and we can be together. That is my sole wish, simply being with you for the rest of my life.'

"I think it's time I showed you…what a god is capable of." Yato's voice, unusually serious, caused Chiyo to look up at the now standing god and leave her memories behind. "It is fated to happen, my dream will become real, and do you know why?" Yukine and Hiyori stared up at him in surprise, swallowing nervously at what he could possibly say next. "Cause I bought this baby!" Yato trilled as he held up a giant pot.

"What's an old pot gonna do?!" Hiyori and Yukine cried in unison as Chiyo just slapped her forehead in exasperation.

Not again…she thought morosely.

"It's not just any pot! I got it from a lady in town who read my palm and declared she could sell it to me and no one else!" Yato happily explained as he sat back down and rubbed the pot. "All I have to do is chant 'happy-happy-cool-cool, happy-happy-cool-cool' everyday while I rub it back and forth, see?"

"And you believed her?!" The half-phantom and Regalia cried.

"Just wait, it'll probably get worse…" Chiyo sighed as she leaned her chin against her hand and stared at Yato, who, sure enough, brought out more trinkets.

"And this will make me rich if I place it on a west facing wall! And this bracelet will help me build the home of my dreams! And this pyramid is guaranteed to boost my test scores!" Yato exclaimed before rolling out an entire mat full of trinkets. "With all these charms, wishes I didn't even know I had will come true! I'll be happy-happy-cool…cool…" The blue eyed god trailed off as he looked up in absolute fear of the seething Hiyori and Yukine, who glared down at him with red eyes.

The Yukine stole the pot.

"Head's up, Hiyori!" He cried before he threw the useless pot. Jumping in the air, Hiyori caught the pot and began to spin.

"Jungle…TORNADO!" She cried as she smashed the pot into the ground, causing Yato to freeze in shock for a moment as he stared at the wreckage before kneeling before the pot with no doubt tear filled eyes.

"At least I didn't have to snap him out of it this time." Chiyo shook her head as Yukine marched back to where she still sat and began to eat his bento earnestly.

"How have you dealt with him for so many years?" The blonde Regalia grumbled as Hiyori knelt down before Yato.

"Originally, just a lack of emotions." Chiyo shrugged as she opened her journal and began to read with a small smile on her lips. "But now…he's like my big brother."

"Big brother, eh…" Yukine mumbled.

"Yeah, I've got two and a big sister besides Hiyori too." Chiyo nodded before her small fell and her grip tightened on the journal. "But…I don't speak to my siblings, not anymore."

Wisely, Yukine did not say a word and just kept eating, until Yato called the two physical teens over, saying they were going to see someone. Chiyo simply packed away her journal and straightened up before adjusting her jean jacket and dark green shirt. She had a feeling this was going to be very interesting.

She was proven correct when Yato led them down a path lined with vending machines and multiple store signs, for food and items such as fishing gear alike.

"Ohhh, I get it now." Chiyo smiled, though internally she began to pray to, well, any of her older siblings that this would turn out not to be a disaster.

"Do you know why he brought us here, Naomi?" Hiyori curiously asked her.

"Just wait and see." Chiyo simply smirked in response, her prayers doubling down.

"Kofuku?" Yato called out and yep I knew it. "Anyone here? Heeeey!"

The next thing any of them knew, footsteps were running towards them and Yato suddenly had an arm full of a pretty, pink haired young woman who squealed in delight as he twirled her around.

"Yatty!" She squealed happily.

"Hey! Long time, no see, eh?" Yato laughed as he continued twirling her without a care in the world.

"So who do you think she is anyway? The way they're greeting each other, you'd think that…no way, that'd be impossible!" Yukine whispered to Hiyori, who looked as shocked as the Regalia.

But Yato confirmed exactly what he was thinking at that moment as he set Kofuku down.

"Guys, this is Kofuku." The god smiled before he pulled the pink haired goddess closer, their fingers intertwined. "She's my girlfriend. Nice, huh?"

"Yatty and I go way, way back! Nice to meet you!" Kofuku smiled.

"Girlfriend?! No way!" Hiyori shouted.

"But she's a hottie!" Yukine protested.

"It's…very complicated." Chiyo mumbled in mild explanation.

"Anyway, I've got a favor to ask you, my dear." Yato continued, ignoring his three companions as he put his arm around Kofuku's shoulders and she poked his chest.

"I'll do anything you want, you know that!" Kofuku said.

"Here's the deal: I recently made this kid into a Regalia, which is great, but work's kinda scarce lately, you know?" Yato explained, before he began to put on the crocodile tears. "Breaks my heart. I'd like to get him a hot meal in this weather, but how can I when I haven't even been able to provide shelter for him yet?"

"I think that's the saddest story I've ever heard!" Kofuku gasped before digging through her pockets. "Don't worry, I'll help you out! Let me see what I have here…" She held out three 1000 yen bills then. "There. Do you think this will be enough?"

"You're a lifesaver! A real sweetheart, that's what you are, baby!" Yato praised as he snatched the bills and pet the top of Kofuku's head.

"Ah! Awwww, do you really mean it? I love it when you talk to me that way!" Kofuku squealed.

"Alright! Time to hit the pachinko parlor!" Yato whooped, meaning he was gonna blow all the money he was just given right away. But that was typical of him, so Chiyo wasn't surprised.

"I'll come with you!" Kofuku chirped and yeah, that basically guaranteed Yato was going to lose everything.

"What a grade A scumbag." Yukine scoffed.

"Oh wait, it gets better." Chiyo smirked, to her sister and the Regalia's confusion.

"You dirty bastard!"

Just then, running footsteps approached them and a dark haired man wearing a light pink shirt suddenly kicked Yato directly in the side in a flying kick, like something out of a kung fu movie, sending the blue eyed god flying into a vending machine.

"What have I told you, huh?! Keep your hands off my lady or I will end you!" The man, Daikoku, shouted.

"Whoa! It's an affair?!" Hiyori and Yukine whispered in unison, both now absolutely terrified.

"Not like that." Chiyo giggled quietly behind her hand as Daikoku picked up Yato by his track suit.

"You hear me, you rotten, stinking, little punk?!" The older Regalia shouted in the god's face.

"Now! You gentlemen don't need to fight over little old me!" Kofuku trilled happily.

That was the moment Daikoku noticed them.

"Huh? Chiyo? Why're you here with him?" He asked, sounding slightly calmer.

Before the goddess could answer, she suddenly had an armful of Kofuku.

"Chiyorin! It's been so long since you visited us!" The pink haired goddess pouted as she rubbed her cheek against the dark haired goddess'.

"Sorry, Kofuku. I got busy." Chiyo laughed. Of course, that caused Kofuku to freeze, pull away and look her over before squealing high enough to break glass (thank goodness there was none nearby).

"You have your emotions back! What happened?! Is it him?!"

"Whoa, whoa, calm down, Kofuku!" Chiyo shook her head with an amused smile. "I'll tell you sometime, but why don't we take the kids inside and do introductions, hm?"

And that was how Kofuku, Daikoku, Chiyo, Hiyori and Yukine ended up sitting around the table with tea while Yato sat against the door.

"I'm Kofuku-Ebisu's Regalia. In weapon form, my name's Koku. As a person, my name's Daikoku." Daikoku introduced himself before he began to fret over his goddess spilling the tea.

Chiyo smiled at the two of them, a wave of nostalgia washing over her, remembering just how often her own exemplar had scolded her when she had been still so young.

"What are you talking about over there?" Daikoku's voice cut into her thoughts, his glare directed at Hiyori and Yukine.

"Oh, nothing really! Just about how cute of a couple you are, that's all!" Hiyori frantically explained as she and Yukine both waved their hands nervously. Chiyo chuckled, glad to find the effect Daikoku had on people amusing for the first time.

"Couple?" Daikoku repeated, confused.

"Well, yeah, I mean, the two of you are married, aren't you?" Hiyori asked, confused.

"Of course not." The older Regalia denied.

"Huh? But what you called Goddess Ebisu earlier-" The half-phantom started.

"We're casual here, Kofuku's fine." Kofuku waved the title off easily. Hiyori nodded in acquiesce.

"It's just that before, you called Kofuku your lady." She then elaborated.

"Milady, like a title, as in she's my goddess." Daikoku corrected before looking down at Kofuku softly. "Aren't you?" Kofuku nodded happily up at him.

Chiyo had to physically cover her mouth to stop the snort that wanted to sneak past her throat at the looks on Yukine and Hiyori's faces as Daikoku and Kofuku then discussed Daikoku's like of reading tea leaves, which Kofuku found complete bogus. Feeling a bit sorry for the two, she leaned in close and whispered,

"Don't worry, everyone makes the mistake. They might as well be married anyway, they never act any different."

"What are you staring at? Is there something you wanted to say to me?" Daikoku demanded then, causing both the young Regalia and the half-phantom to shrink back in abject fear.

"No, no, there's nothing at all we'd like to say, sir!" Hiyori frantically declined.

"Be careful. Don't look that guy in the eyes." Yato warned, causing all three of his companions to look at him, two in fear and one in exasperated expectation. "Doing that can be dangerous. You might never get away. Despite his tough exterior…he has a thing for kids like you!"

"Don't say it like that! You make me sound sick!" Daikoku shouted and then proceeded to kick Yato off the porch and high into the sky, becoming nothing more than a twinkle within seconds.

"Yeah, he deserved that…" Chiyo sighed.

"What do you mean…?" Hiyori asked, her voice shaking in fear as she looked at her half-goddess sister.

"Yato was exaggerating on purpose. Kofuku?" Chiyo directed.

"Yeah, don't get the wrong idea, okay? My Daikoku loves kids! That's all Yatty meant. Daikoku cares about children! He could do nothing, but sit and watch them play all day long!" Kofuku happily explained.

"You see what you did there? Now I'm starting to sound creepy." Daikoku sighed at his goddess.

"Basically, Daikoku's a good man. He can be trusted." Chiyo explained, a soft smile on her face. "He reminds me of a Regalia I used to have too."

"Really? Hiyori asked, surprised.

"Yeah." Chiyo nodded.

"So, why don't you have them now?" Yukine asked as he stared at her. Chiyo smiled sadly before she turned away, her hair falling down to hide her face.

"Well…that's complicated." She admitted and said no more, her journal feeling as if it were burning in her pocket.

"Now, let's talk, kid." Daikoku said, looking at Yukine. His attention caused Hiyori to jump in front of the boy in fear. "Quit it! Don't be ridiculous!" The older Regalia scolded as the half-phantom mumbled apologies and moved away, before he became serious. "Alright, boy. You're a Regalia? What's your name?"

"Y-Yukine…" Yukine stuttered, still obviously uncomfortable.

"Been a Regalia long?" Daikoku questioned.

"No, sir, not long at all." The younger Regalia answered. "I just started actually."

"I see. Young for such a responsibility." The older Regalia mused. At those words, a thick silence fell over the room.

"Do you think he's…too young?" Hiyori questioned, breaking the silence.

"No. There have been younger Regalias." Chiyo cut in, her voice sad and bittersweet. "I had one, long ago, who was only eight years old. She was like a daughter to me…"

Memories of Mirei hurt more than most of her other memories…Chiyo had to bite her lip in order to hold back the tears.

"What about you?" Kofuku cut in, preventing either Hiyori or Yukine from asking about the young girl Chiyo had once raised.

"Uh, sorry?" Hiyori asked, confused.

"Do you have a name?" The goddess smiled.

"Yes, I'm Hiyori Iki, Naomi's older sister." The physically older Iki sister smiled.

"Ohhhh, you're Chiyorin's human family! I'll just call you Hiyorin, okay?" Kofuku smiled as she leaned her head back against Hiyori's chest.

"That's fine…" Hiyori awkwardly agreed.

"You seem like you're just a regular human girl, Hiyorin. What's your relationship to Yatty?" The pink haired goddess asked.

"What?! Relationship?! I don't even care about the jerk." Hiyori cried in shock, turning away with pink tinted cheeks.

"C'mon, now, why do you look so sad?" Kofuku asked, her eyes sparkling as she launched herself over the table and tackled Hiyori to the floor, even as the brunette teen girl fought to get away.

"I'm very sorry, my lady can be crazy sometimes." Daikoku apologized as he put a cigarette between his lips.

"Please, she tackles almost everyone like this when they visit. Including me, even when I couldn't react." Chiyo huffed in amusement as she turned away and Daikoku lit his cigarette with his lighter. Her human sister would be fine.

"She looks so happy like that, doesn't she? She just loves meeting new people." The dark haired Regalia smiled softly. That was the moment that Hiyori's fighting and Kofuku's determination resulted in the smashing of the door, but the three other occupants of the room ignored them. "So, anyway, life good with Yato?" Yukine silently shook his head with a pout. "Sounds about right. He's not much of a people person, huh?"

"I really wanna change jobs." Yukine admitted.

"Well, do it then!" Daikoku smiled.

"Can I work here?" The blonde Regalia asked eagerly.

"My lady doesn't need anybody's help, but mine." The dark haired Regalia ground out, his eyes dark and his voice threatening.

"Of course not!" Yukine agreed quickly, his voice shaking. His eyes darted to Chiyo and quickly he asked, "What about you, Chiyo? Could I work for you?"

"Sorry, but I'm not allowed." Chiyo smiled sadly. "That complicated reason I don't have any Regalia? That's tied up in this."

"Hey, would you like some advice, Yuki?" Kofuku cut in.

"Yuki?" Yukine repeated, startled at the sudden nickname.

"You should be careful. Yatty and I are close and all, but I've heard some scary rumors about him before." The pink haired goddess warned.

"Hey-" Chiyo started to say.

"Rumors? Like what?" Hiyori cut off her half-goddess sister as she pushed herself up from the doors she and Kofuku had destroyed.

"Trust me, despite how he may look, he's a scary god." Kofuku obliged the girl's curiosity.

"Oh stop that, there's no need to frighten them." Daikoku lightly scolded his goddess.

"Daikoku's right. You guys can trust Yato, besides, all rumors that gods hear are at least a couple hundred years old by the time they're heard." Chiyo agreed. They couldn't start doubting Yato now, not when he was trying to better himself and escape that man after so long.

Just then, Yato suddenly appeared outside, cell phone open in his hand.

"Time to go! I got a call for some work!" He grinned before he grabbed Yukine and literally dragged him across the floor. "C'mon, Yukine! We're eating today!"

"Thanks for the tea!" Chiyo waved before she ran after the two, knowing Hiyori wouldn't be too far behind. Still, it was better if she didn't lose the two of them.

Maybe she was biased, but…she really hoped everything would work out…and that the reason Yato brought Hiyori and Yukine to Kofuku wouldn't have to be used, at least not very soon.

As soon as they appeared, Chiyo noticed they were in midair…which didn't exactly bode well…

"Thanks for calling the delivery god! Yato, at your service!" Yato chirped, as he always did…only to land on a man, pushing him off the roof of the building he stood on.

"Uh…" Yukine gasped.

"You pushed him, Yato!" Hiyori screamed.

"My bad!" Yato cried, eyes wide in terror.

"Everyone, hold on!" Chiyo shouted as she held one hand out towards the falling man, her fingers stretched wide, while her other hand formed a fist at her side before she punched it in the direction the man fell.

Next thing any of them knew, they were falling at the same speed as the man they'd hit.

"No need to fear! Hello, sir. Are you sick of the daily grind? Depressed about your love life?" Yato said once he was at the man's level, completely calm as he marketed himself. "Hi there, ma'am, having trouble balancing your career and your family? What's that kids? There's bullies in your class that need to be taken down a notch or two? Well, good news! I can solve any problem big or small! That's right, I'm fast and affordable! I'm the delivery god, Yato!" As he spoke, the blue eyed god took out a business card. "Call anytime, ladies and-"

Suddenly, Hiyori crashed into Yato as Chiyo briefly lost her hold on her human sister, causing all of Yato's business cards to go flying as the two spun around. As fast as it happened, Chiyo adjusted her telekinetic grip on them all once more.

"What was that for?!" Yato screamed.

"Skip the self-promotion and save him already!" Hiyori screamed back. Just then, Yukine caught one of the flying business cards.

"Handwritten, huh?" He noted.

"That's a serious amount of dedication." Chiyo mused, though she made no motion to catch the flying cards. Four bodies, plus her own, was enough, thank you.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I should introduce myself as well. Here's my card, or what used to be my card." The man said, extending his own card to Yato.

"Is everyone here crazy?" Yukine asked, shocked at this turn of events.

"Yes." Chiyo stated with a smirk as the blonde glared at her.

"Ah, let me see here, so it looks like you work at an ad agency." Yato noted as Chiyo glanced at the card, seeing the man's name was Yusuke Urasawa. "Or did."

"That's right. However, the company recently went bankrupt." Urasawa admitted. "That's why I'm here now, I didn't know what else to do. I wanted to call my parents to apologize for doing this, but I guess I accidentally dialed your number instead."

"That explains it, hang up then." Yato nodded before he shook his head furiously. "I mean, a-anyway! The hand of fate is clear in this. Start from the beginning, how did this happen?"

"Maybe you should start by saving him!" Hiyori screamed.

"Well, I suppose it all began last winter." Urasawa started.

"You're doing this now?!" Hiyori screeched.

"Relax, Hiyori, it's under control!" Chiyo stressed.

"How is any of this under control?!" Her human sister retorted.

"I happened to come across a young woman." Urasawa narrated. "I couldn't take my eyes off of her…"

"Hey! Why are we using my face for this?!" Hiyori cried.

"You just popped into my head, I guess because you're right here. Sorry…" Urasawa trailed off.

"Stripes, huh? I wouldn't have guessed that…" Yato mused.

"Don't look!" Hiyori screeched as she tackled Yato in midair to cover his eyes.

"Where are you all even looking? This isn't the anime or the manga!" Chiyo complained.

"Thinking she might be a runaway, I offered to take her to find some help." Urasawa continued without a care. "The poor girl, I could tell she was living in a very controlling household. She was barely even allowed outside, like a lovely bird trapped in a cage. And that's it, that's how we first started dating. It was the happiest time of my life!"

"I'm gonna vomit! This guy takes advantage of vulnerable young women, someone call the police!" Yato cried as Urasawa faced away from him, falling upside down now with his hands on his cheeks as hearts floated around him. At Yato's words, the man turned towards him, still falling upside down.

"It wasn't like that! I care deeply for her! I never did anything indecent, I swear on my life!" Urasawa protested passionately.

"I don't believe you, you perv!" Yato spat.

"Anyway, I came to enjoy spoiling her." Urasawa continued his tale, his voice morose again, even as hearts floated around him again as he still fell upside down.

"Yep, gonna puke!" Yato cried.

"Stop picturing me! It's creepy!" Hiyori begged.

"Where are you guys seeing this?! I don't understand!" Chiyo complained.

"How long have we been falling now?" Yukine, the only normal one apparently, questioned.

"I've got it." Chiyo waved him off, making sure her telekinetic grip on all of them was secure.

"After that, I offered to take her to Capypaland. It was around then that things started to go wrong…I don't know how else to explain it." Urasawa shrugged.

At his words…Chiyo could've sworn she vaguely heard the sound of crying children…but that was probably her imagination.

"Aaaah! What's with this place?! Middle aged men walking around in Capypa suits? That's twisted…and just-just plain wrong!" Yato cried as Urasawa turned himself over and placed his hands on the blue eyed god's shoulders like a father.

"They're just suits, it's okay. Here, see, there's Capypa Fairy coming to make everything all better!" The man reassured.

"What the hell are all of you seeing? This wasn't in the script!" Chiyo cried.

"Enough with this stuff already!" Hiyori cried as she briefly floated by Yato and Urasawa's heads.

"I don't know what happened, but we started to run into all sorts of bad luck." Urasawa explained, again his voice was morose and would he just make up his damn mind already?! "As things got worse, my job performance steadily dropped, I never got bonuses anymore and my meager savings dried up before I even knew it. But I just couldn't imagine not being with her anymore. I was desperate. One thing led to another…and I went bankrupt. I just wanted to be with her! But with the hole I had dug for myself, I knew I would only become a burden! I wanted to spend our lives together! I had been planning to propose to her!" As Urasawa cried those words, he had somehow ended up upside down again, this time crying. "Not now! I don't deserve her anymore!"

"Wait…" Chiyo trailed off as pieces clicked together.

"Eh…you've got a pic of this girl I can take a look at?" Yato asked, clearly on the same path.

"A picture?" Hiyori questioned.

"There's something familiar about this story." Yato explained.

"No kidding…" Chiyo sighed, making sure they were all close together to see the picture.

"Here she is." Urasawa said, holding his phone out so all four could look. And, sure enough…

"That's Kofuku!" Hiyori cried.

"Huh? How do you know her name?" Urasawa questioned.

"Gods above, dammit Kofuku!" Chiyo cursed, wishing she could smack her forehead, or preferably the goddess responsible for this mess right now, at that moment.

"Should've guessed it sooner…" Yato sighed.

"What? Why? How could you possibly know?" Hiyori asked, her questions rapid fire.

"Cause I didn't tell you everything earlier: Kofuku is the god of poverty." Yato explained, his voice pained.

"Huh?! The god of poverty?!" Yukine and Hiyori cried in unison.

"She doesn't go by her title that often, which can't blame her." Chiyo sighed.

"It's not exactly the kind of thing that makes you popular." Yato nodded in agreement before turning to Urasawa. "Take my advice on this one, man: forget about that girl. Seriously, ditch her. The god of poverty only brings disaster. Spend time with her and you're basically asking to have your life ruined. Oh, and there's one more thing!" At this, Yato extended his own phone, with a picture of Kofuku and Daikoku on it. "She has a guy in her life you don't want to cross!"

Seeing Daikoku almost put the fear of the gods in Urasawa, so Chiyo decided to put the final nail in.

"If it helps, she's not nearly as young as she looks." She said. "By that I mean, she's way older than your grandma and even way older than your grandma's grandma's grandma."

Urasawa hung his head in defeat at that.

"Alright then. We'll sever your ties to her and then you'll be good." Yato nodded firmly, hands on his hips.

"Sever his ties to her? But doesn't that mean…" Hiyori trailed off.

"He'll forget everything having to do with Kofuku." Chiyo confirmed.

"Uh, I don't want to forget her though! No! I refuse! You can't make me agree to this, can you?!" Urasawa protested.

"I strongly recommend you do this. If you don't, you'll die very soon." Yato stated.

"Well, I'll die then! You don't understand, I love her with my whole heart!" Urasawa shouted.

"How stupid are you?!" Yato shouted before he punched Urasawa right in the cheek, hard enough to break his glasses. Then he grasped the man's scarf and pulled him close. "Someone who would end his own life like this doesn't know a damn thing about love!"

"Love is supposed to be something that makes you want to live, not die! It's a home, not a case of martyrdom!" Chiyo added, her own fury shining in her eyes. It didn't help that they were still a fair way from the ground, but getting closer, telekinesis or not.

"Think we could hurry this up pleeeeeease?!" Hiyori shouted, as if realizing the same thing.

"It just keeps getting more and more insane." Yukine sighed.

"Alright! Yukine, you're up, kid!" Yato called out then, grabbing the Regalia's attention.

"Huh? Wait, hold on! I've never severed anyone's ties before!" Yukine protested, now nervous.

"It'll be fine! Don't worry, I know you can do it! Have a little faith, okay?" Yato smiled.

Yukine was speechless as he stared at his god and Chiyo smiled at the both of them, feeling proud as the blonde nodded in agreement.

"Come, Sekki!" Yato called then and Yukine vanished as his name flashed in the sky, reappearing as Sekki in Yato's outstretched hand. "Anything you want me to tell Kofuku?"

"Just this please: I wish you the best. Have a happy life." Urasawa smiled, tears gleaming in his eyes. In that moment, he appeared the most normal since they had met him and Chiyo smiled a bittersweet smile at him.

"Very well, I've heard your wish loud and clear!" Yato said as he laid his fingers on Sekki and began to drag them along the blade, causing it to glow. "Here me, I am the god Yato! I hereby sever ties! Sekki! Sunder!"

With the ties cut, Chiyo circled both arms around her head before holding them both out towards Urasawa, allowing him to fall ahead of the four unseen beings before she gently rested both him and his phone on the ground, before concentrating on her own group, gently lowering all of them down as well.

Finally, the craziness was over, everyone was safe…

"Oh, wow, are you serious? He was really gonna do that just because of me? I mean, it's not like I was trying to hurt him! I wanted to have a little fun, that's all!" Kofuku smiled once they finished their story.

"A little fun?" Yato, Hiyori, Yukine and Chiyo all repeated, all feeling the same exasperation.

"I'm hurt, Kofuku! I can't believe you would do that behind my back!" Daikoku cried, tears streaming from his eyes.

"It's your own fault, you know! I was so sick of you telling me where I couldn't go and what I couldn't do!" Kofuku pouted, turning her back on her Regalia(/husband).

"Well somebody has to! Or else you'll spread disaster everywhere!" Daikoku protested, causing his goddess to pout even more. With a sigh, the older Regalia sat down. "I'm too old for this…well, anyway, you've got skills, kid. Severing ties while you're still a rookie."

"Oh…I didn't realize it was a big deal." Yukine said, shocked at Daikoku's words.

"Well, it is. Severing a bond is much more difficult than making one." Daikoku smiled. "And a Regalia's abilities play a big part in how well it works too."

"And it was a really neat severing too, you don't see those too often!" Chiyo added.

"It was so easy, I'm really surprised to hear you two say that." Yukine smiled, his cheeks tinted a pleased pink as he scratched his nose.

"Haha! That's the right attitude!" Daikoku smiled. "Yato, looks like you found yourself a good Regalia."

"Yeah, I know. When I picked him, I had a feeling he was more than a pretty face!" Yato smiled…before proceeding to smother Yukine, who tried frantically to escape. "Isn't that right, Yukine!"

"Get off me, stop it, freak!" Yukine screamed as he valiantly struggled and everyone laughed.

In the resulting chaos, Kofuku leaned close to Chiyo and whispered in her ear.

"It was Yuki, wasn't it, Chiyorin? The one you've been waiting for?"

Chiyo stared at the goddess of poverty for a moment before smiling helplessly. Kofuku may play the fool, but she was a lot more perceptive than anyone gave her credit for.

"He…isn't the original, but yes." Chiyo confirmed, her voice just as soft. Kofuku's eyes twinkled happily as she squeezed Chiyo's hand.

"Sorry about all this." Daikoku apologized as he handed Yato five yen as they prepared to leave. "Thanks a lot for cleaning up Kofuku's mess."

"It was my pleasure." Yato grinned as he flipped the five yen coin in the air. "Later!" With that, the blue eyed god wrapped an arm around Yukine and dragged him away.

"Bye for now! I hope you come back and visit, Hiyorin!" Kofuku waved.

"See you!" Chiyo smiled as she let Hiyori hang back to talk to the goddess of poverty and her Regalia, catching up with Yato and Yukine easily as they made their way away from the house.

As Chiyo sat beside Yukine and watched him skip rocks with a smile, she couldn't help the smile on her own face. He really did have a beautiful smile…

"Your smile is beautiful." She said aloud, unintentionally. Quickly, she bit her lip and averted her gaze as Yukine turned to her.

"Huh?" The Regalia questioned, confused.

"Nothing…" Chiyo trailed off, taking her journal out and reading it in an attempt to make Yukine drop the topic.

Mercifully, he changed it.

"You've been reading that a lot today. What is it?" Yukine asked.

"It's…a memento, from a long time ago. Nobody probably remembers this version of Japanese anymore." Chiyo chuckled.

"Sounds important." Yukine mused as Chiyo nodded in confirmation. "Well…could I read it someday?"

Chiyo stared at him with wide, glowing green eyes for a moment before a soft smile spread across her lips.

"Sure…someday." She nodded.

Yukine smiled back at her…before skipping another rock.

Suddenly, the blonde Regalia turned his head and Chiyo was stiffening as she saw who was before him.

"Hi. You know, you have really pretty eyes." The dark haired girl, no older than Yukine physically, said, her voice emotionless.

Without thinking, Chiyo pulled Yukine back from her and put herself between the two, glaring at the girl, at Nora. Even still, she knew Yukine was staring at all of Nora's names in horror.

"Stay back." Chiyo growled.

"Oh my, you've certainly changed, haven't you?" Nora mused.

"That's enough, Nora." Yato's voice cut in. "What do you want?"

"For starters, you could call me by my name." Nora said as she stood up. Chiyo was distantly aware of Hiyori running up to reach them, but her eyes never left Nora, her glare as sharp as a Yukine's blade. "Please, Yato, it isn't so much to ask, is it? I love that name."

"Wait, this girl…is she a Regalia of yours too?" Hiyori questioned, nervously.

Nora simply smiled.

"Remember, whenever you need me, I'll be waiting." She said. And with a drop of water, she vanished, though her voice echoed in the area. "Just waiting for you to call my name. That's all you have to do."

Chiyo didn't move, only feeling the slightest trembling of Yukine behind her.

This wasn't her story to tell, after all. She was only a part of Yato's support, but she'd make sure she do anything to help him escape the place he had been. And she'd do anything to keep Yukine from falling to Nora's manipulations too.

She'd protect both of them, as well as she could with as weak as she was. It was all she could do.

And there we are! Also, happy New Year everyone! I started this chapter a few days ago, but managed to finish it finally!

Man, this was a fun chapter! Yes, I intentionally broke the fourth wall. That won't happen anymore, but this episode was so ridiculous, I just had to. Besides, how was I gonna explain Urasawa's picturing of what happened with Kofuku? Also, yes, Chiyo's words in the last scene were meant to be a contrast to Nora's. Yes, I am aware of what's happening in the manga and I'm crying and praying everyday hoping things will end alright.

Speaking of, you'll notice I didn't use Kofuku's English dub nickname for Hiyori here! This is because I might continue this story in manga territory someday when I finish the anime episodes (maybe that OVAs too? Those are fun, but I dunno, you guys tell me!) instead of waiting for the anime to pick back up. Also, some manga things will be used instead of anime (looking at you Amaterasu and evidence for the Tsukuyomi Theory).

Now, should I do this? You guys tell me what you want me to do!

Oh yeah, a song for Chiyo and Yukine is AmaLee's 1000 Words cover on YouTube, so go check it out! And Chiyo's journal? Important later on!

I can't think of anything else to say…leave a review to let me know what you think and I'll try to update sooner next time! See ya!
