Author's notes:
Nine months. I guess it's ready now.
This is the chapter you've been waiting for. The big confrontation! The one where the you-know-what hits the you-know-what. But the BIG surprise is at the end. And it's a big one!
Thank you for all the likes and follows.
And now...
Snow White's Bedroom...ten minutes before...
The morning started almost at the night began. With two arch enemies sharing an Irish coffee. Very light on the coffee.
Just as Snow White brought her cup to lips, she asked with a level of sarcasm, "Is this stuff poisoned?" The Evil Queen, sitting next to her on the side a very disheveled bed laughed loudly. Snow followed with her own laugh.
Of course, The Queen did put something in her coffee the previous night. She thought whatever she used would kill her nemesis off for good. Then she read the label. It was not a deadly poison, but a powerful aphrodisiac. This could be better. Ruin Snow White's reputation as Snow attempted bad seduction. Then just walk out the door and Charming walks in. The dirty deed is done.
Except it did not turn that way. First, it seemed Snow White was more skilled at the seduction game than she thought. Not to mention love making itself. No wonder Charming stuck with Snow. Girl's got skills...
Sometime between the second and third hours though, it stopped being about revenge or payback or sex. And by two in the morning it had become clear that the Evil Queen and the Fairest In The Land were two lost souls madly in love with each other. And they both knew that this bliss could not last forever. Or even for one day. For Snow White's True Love would be home soon.
Not that there would not be chance meetings. Besides, there were many legitimate questions. Things that were not brought up. Just so many things that you can bring upin 12 hours, especially when you've spent eight of those hours between each other's legs.
But now the night is at an end. It's been morning. Snow's baby is still in the hands of the former Wicked WItch. Neal's been in Zelena's keeping and knowing her she's probably corrupted the infant prince with Necco wafers and Mountain Dew by now.
As for Gina...she has to go home soon. With a new name. Maybe a new attitude. And definitely a secret that she'll have to keep from a certain Savior.
Gina also knows that she will be know as the "Evil Queen" for as long as she exists, which is forever, really. But Gina's good with that, and she knows that Regina is good with that too. And Henry. And Emma. And the Pirate and the Fairy.
And Snow.
She wears sweats these days. She has become comfortable in her new skin. Even back in the EF, women did everything to get back into shape after a pregnancy. But Snow accepted her new body long ago. So did David. And so did Gina. Last night proved the Fairest of Them All was still one fierce woman.
But now it was over. Snow White stood there looking into Gina's brown eyes, and Gina looking into her's. They needed no prompting: the kiss they gave to each other was ferocious. As they kissed there was wondering if the feelings they had we like the same feelings that Regina had for Emma or even Killian or Tink. The same feelings Snow has for David.
They continued to kiss not knowing or hearing the door open or feet coming up the stairs.
It all happened in an instant.
A beyond-shocked David stood and saw his beloved wife and his most hated foe engaging in a rather rigorous session of tonsil hockey. He started to speak when two swirls of smoke, one white, another purple, appeared in the corner of the bedroom. David did not see that, he was too busy looking into the eyes of the Evil Queen.
"GET YOUR GODDAMN HANDS AWAY FROM MY WIFE!"
David pulled out his service revolver, aimed at the Queen, and pulled the trigger...
Everything went in slow motion from that point. The smoke from the gun preceded the bullet that was headed straight for the Queen. Gina stood there frozen, knowing that she would be dead in a second. Emma and Regina stood in the corner, jaws agape. Add in the midst of all this, a voice cried out "NOOOOOOOOO...!"
Magic has many properties. One major property identifies the person who was wielding the power. The magic print of Regina is quite different than Emma's. The same with Zelena or Gold or Cora or Ingrid. The magic that kept that bullet from entering Gina's body did not come from either the mayor or the it did not come from the transfixed Evil Queen. But the fading silver glow that came from the hands of the person who did stop the board suck everyone in the room. Regina. Emma. David. Even the Queen. But even more surprised... and frightened... What is the small brunette shaking like a leaf, who just a moment ago had hands were glowing silver.
And after everything, maybe it was appropriate that it was Regina Mills who broke the silence...
"Snow? You have...magic?"
