Hey everybody, I'm sure you're wondering what's been happening with this story. Well, I'm sorry to say this but I'm discontinuing this story. I had a lot of time to think about this story last year while working on homework and being in the hospital/healing. I haven't been happy with how this story was going for various reasons.

Reasons why:

One problem is using Ash in general for a character. To me, it seems more like he's just there with no reasonable explanation. To my I want to use a character with an actual background with no crossover from another show like this. I get that's how crossovers work with introducing one character to another. But I'm not exactly happy using Ash. I'm sorry for those of you who enjoyed this crossover, but I'm not happy with my work. And with how child like Ash has been acting in Sun and Moon and Sword and Shield, I just can't see the character in the story as Ash. It's just using a character with Ash's name and appearance, no actual Ash personality and only Spirit Pikachu who's just there.

Another problem is the Phantasmal Deck, cards that I have come up with in High school. When I introduced Pendulum to the cards, I blanked on Pendulum abilities and began to lose sight on what I originally wanted to the Phantasmal cards to be. I plan to write a new story with a new Archetype for an OC character. It will be purely Arc V.

Once again there are problems with the decks in the story. I gave Ash different decks and It gets harder to figure out which time to use which deck, and to figure out when to give an even amount of spotlight. So in the new story I have planned, the OC may end up keeping the Dark Magician cards but not Blue-Eyes. And that honestly does bother me because In real life I run Blue-Eyes myself.

Quick Run down of what would have happened with this story:

As for the what I had planned with the Big Five in Inheritance of the Legendary Duelists, they were supposed to be revived to start an Arc involving an attacking on LID building. LID being a former Kaibacorp building, they were supposed to try and steal multiple data files from LID to try and bring Gozaburo Kaiba back from the dead. Leichter or Jinzo as you all figured was supposed to have been killed in this arc while the remaining Big Five and Gozaburo would become the antagonists of the XYZ Dimension Arc.

Another idea I had planned for this story was the return of Cyrus from Diamond and Pearl, who would have been working with Leo Akaba and later another antagonist. He was supposed to run a Deck similar to Mechlord Emperor, and be the main reason behind the Big Five's return.

As many of you have guessed Yuri would've had the Millennium Ring in this story, which would've also belonged to Zarc before the Original Dimension Shattered. It would've helped explain more on why Zarc grew more insane as time passed with the crowd fueling the fire with their insane demands. Ash's original counterpart had the Millennium Puzzle and he reincarnated from his original counterpart when thrown out of the dimensions when Ray and Zarc shattered the Dimensions. In the new story, I plan for neither the OC or Yuri will have any Millennium items.

Pegasus was also to have returned in this story to help in the production of Pendulum Cards, while knowing about the dimensional war. Kaiba was in chapter 6 where he presented Ash the Duel Runner while sending him to the Synchro Dimension. He's bitter that when Leo Akaba took over Kaibacorp when Kaiba vanished along with many other people when the Original Dimension broke apart. Leo Akaba also went and demolished the chain of KaibaLand theme parks, finding no use for them and stealing the plans that Kaiba had in place for Duel Academy and turning it into an Army School.

Akiza also showed up in chapter 6 destroying the security members, bitter towards them and Roget. She'll still be in the new story.

Plan for Future Story:

I said before the OC may end up keeping the Dark Magician Cards and have a new Archetype. In addition I already have more of an idea for my new characters background. As for the pairing, I'm still going to have Serena/Celina be the main girl. No plans for a harem using the rest of the bracelet girls and legacy girls.

There are still plans that I considered for Inheritance that may make their way to this new story. But a lot of things have changed with it being a new story and all. I won't give much details, but there will be more character background for other characters like Sergey Volkov. In addition more arcs will be added to specific Dimensions like Synchro after the Friendship Cup as well as another Arc for the XYZ Dimension that will involve Celina's past.

I'll also try to go more in-depth on the bracelet Girls/Yu-boys families, like Zuzu's mother not being around. One of the many things that the anime bothered me about is how the Yu-boys and bracelets girls were not born naturally. In the plan for this story, Yuya will still be the blood-related son of Yusho and Zuzu being the blood-related daughter of Skip.

I'll try my hardest to establish more on various characters decks and give them more new cards. As well as try to get some characters who were trashed in the anime more spotlight, such as all the bracelet girls (especially Alexis, Aster, Rin and Lulu who were screwed over with doing so little duels and or losing all of them).

I also plan to involve more legacy characters from previous series, especially the original Duel Monsters with Yugi and Kaiba. There may end up being some characters being killed off, hopefully not characters people like.

As for this OC I have in the works, I mostly have his background figured out and the name of the new Archetype and the boss monsters going with it. He won't have any counterparts like Yuya and Zuzu. I also know a lot of you don't like it when the main character will win every time, making them Gary Stu's/Mary Sues. I'll try my hardest not to make him outshine every character.

Mana and Mahad will still being in this story with their card of the week. ("Yes!" Mana shouted in excitement while Mahad groaned, knowing he'll still end up in pain from his apprentice's actions.) Pikachu might not return for those skits. (Unless certain Magician sneaks him inside the Card Lab. I say while staring at Mana with narrowed eyes as she looks away whistling nonchalantly.)

The Phantasmal Cards may end up returning but for a different character and used in the way I planned.

I'm not sure what my time would be in Story updates, perhaps I may go to 1 to 2 times a month. Who knows, I may end up struggling with with writing like many times that happened for this story.

I want to give thanks to Dvdryms and Satoshi-Greninja for giving so much help and advice when I was writing this story. I'm also grateful for everybody who likes this story and follows it. I hope that you all understand my reason for discontinuing this story and will read the the rebooted pure Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V story in the future. Once again thank you.
