A/N: This is my first ever story about a video game character and it's also the first story I've written that isn't angsty or deep or dark. It's fun and humours. I'm not used to writing that so this will be a little challenge to myself. Anyway, Wrench is my favourite character from Watch_Dogs 2 with Marcus as a close second. I love that mask too, it's pretty cool. So, I'm attempting to write a fanfiction. Please excuse my lack of tech vernacular, I haven't done my research yet. Anyway, let me know what you think so far. Enjoy. - Lola
I was walking out of my office at iNvite when the alarms started. I looked back, startled and followed the crowd of my co-workers to the front of the building. There was no visible fire or gunmen or anything that could be considered dangerous. I thought to myself before I decided to hack into the security cameras and find out myself. I took my five levels before I found what I was looking for, someone was in the main server room doing exactly what I was, hacking. Difference was, I was hacking the cameras and he was stealing data. Could he be a part of Dedsec? I thought as I watched him running from one server to the other.
"Marcus, someone's in the camera system." said Josh' voice in his ear.
"Can you find out who?" He asked as he continues his cyber assault on iNvite.
"Just a sec." Josh was gone moments "She's an employee. Kay-Leigh Henry. She's just an average office worker but she's hacked into the security cameras with no problem."
"Can you shut her out?" Marcus asked as he reached the final server.
"On it." Josh replied.
"He's shut her out." Sitara answered before Marcus could ask.
"Good. We should keep an eye on her though. If she works here and can hack, she could be a good ally and double agent." Marcus remarked as he finished collecting the data he needed.
"I agree, is she hot?" came Wrench's voice.
"Dude, really?" was Marcus' reply.
"Hey, I'm a red blooded male." Wrench retorted.
"Yeah, okay." Marcus' chuckled as he made his way out of iNvite headquarters.
I blinked as I was blocked out of the camera's by an unknown code. If I was right, Dedsec was hacking iNvite again and it was probably them blocking me out right now, keeping data thief's identity a secret. I mean, it's not like you could see the cyber-sleuths face with that ridiculous scarf over it. Soon the alarms stopped and we were allowed back to work. I sat at my desk, trying to remember what I was actually supposed to be doing when my email chirped. I sat up and quickly opened it, there was no address from the sender, just the subject "Enjoy the show?" The email itself just contained a time and to meet at the park near my home. I typed the address into my phone and promptly deleted the email, making sure to permanently deleting it from my computer's memory. After that I spent the day continuing my work, deciding whether I should show up at this strange meeting.
