This is an idea that randomly struck me one day, and I thought I'd give it a go. I don't own YOI. Rated T for sugegstive themes at the end. Viktor x Yuuri.
The fireplace was Viktor's idea. He saw how Yuuri was unaccustomed to the Russian weather and often got cold. Sure, they had electric heating, but there was a special comfort to lounging by the fireplace which Yuuri loved. And Viktor loved to see Yuuri in comfort and bliss.
Yuuri stared at the embers. He loved the heat. Being an ice-skater, people did not really expect him to like warmth. However, he did, very much.
Viktor was busy doing the dishes in their kitchen. It was a task he tended to be extremely lazy about doing and often brought out new dishes instead(he seemed to have an almost endless supply of dishes). However, whenever Yuuri attempted to do the dishes himself, Viktor would push him aside. 'Yuuri.' He would say. 'You sit and watch TV. I'll do the dishes. That's an order from your coach.'
Yuuri wished that Viktor was there next to him, cuddling him. While the heat from the fireplace was more than enough to warm him up, he would have liked to share Viktor's body heat as well.
Yuuri randomly tossed a strip of paper into the fire, enjoying the crackle it made. He smiled. Viktor did not really know this, but Yuuri quite enjoyed burning things.
'You should burn the suit and tie you wore at the press conference.' Viktor's words suddenly jolted into Yuuri's memory. It was not the first time Viktor had expressed an opinion about his tie. Mari-neechan had told him how he thought it was unfashionable, when he saw it at the press conference.
The tie had cost Yuuri quite a bit. However his fiance disliked it. So it had no place in his life.
Yuuri went into the bedroom, and got out his tie. As he returned to the living room, he noticed that Viktor was there, lying on the couch. Yuuri smiled at him, and was about to toss the tie into the fireplace.
'No!'
Much to Yuuri's surprise, Viktor oushed him back and snatched the tie from his hands.
Sure, Viktor thought the tie was hideous. However he had so many memories associated with it.
A cute Japanese boy grinding against him during the banquet and asking him to be his coach while wearing the awful garment around his head.
The aforementioned cute Japanese boy declaring his love for him openly via the media. While wearing the tie. Sure, Viktor did not know what he meant at that time as he did not know Japanese. However, the Katsukis had told him what he said later on, and he was touched.
He was glad that he was able to save the tie, which held so many precious memories of a very precious boy from dying a fiery death.
He smiled as he pressed a kiss onto the garment he had somehow managed to salvage.
'Viktor! Come to the bedroom!' Yuuri cried. Viktor was about to stow away the tie when an idea struck him. 'Coming, my dear Yuuri.' he said.
'Viktor, be quick. I want your body.' Viktor smiled. His Yuuri had come a long way from the guy who would turn red and run away at his touch.
'Coming my love. I can't wait to do bad things to you.' With the necktie.
A/N: Please not make to much of a deal about the fireplace thing, and whether it is possible or realistic. Just go with it.
