Tonight marked the end of another long day for Kyoko Kurahashi, a student of Omnyo Academy and the granddaughter of Headmistress Miyo Kurahashi. Ever since Harutora was revealed to be the real son, and thus the rightful heir of the Tsuchimikado main family, followed by the reveal that he is, in fact, the reincarnation of Yakou Tsuchimikado all causing him to disappearing without a trace, things have been on edge. Between classes and looking along with the Suzuka, Touji, and Tenma, for any sign of where Harutora may be, Kyoko was completely exhausted.

The moment she returned to her dorm room she instantly collapsed on to her bed. All she wanted to do was take a long, hot shower and then go to sleep. But her evening plans were interrupted by the sound a knock at her door. When she got up to go open it though no one was there. She figured it was probably just someone's lame attempt at a prank but then she looked down and noticed a small box. She looked around again to see if she could find any sign of who could have left it but the hallways were completely empty so she simply closed the door and returned to her bed, with the box in hand.

She wasn't sure if it was a good idea to open the mystery box. At the same time, she figured that if someone got passed the wards of the dorm to deliver it, whatever was inside couldn't be that bad. Eventually, she gave into curiosity and opened up the box. Inside she saw and envelope and an old, tattered up pink ribbon; that's how the flashbacks started.

Once she realized what this meant, she couldn't help his name escaping her lips, "Harutora."

Thoughts flooded her with so many emotions, varying from joy to anger to confusion to sadness. Her mind was muddled as all she wondered was 'what did this all mean,' 'was Harutora on the run or watching over everyone.' She didn't know what to think, or how to feel but she did have something that could give her at least some answers.

Kyoko looked back into the box and pulled out the folded letter. She wasn't completely sure if she should open or tell the others first or maybe the teachers. But then a thought came to her and she couldn't help but laugh as she said to herself, "what am I thinking, this is Harutora I'm talking about." That was all the reassurance she needed, so her decision was made and she opened the note.

I kept a shoebox containing things that were precious to me back at the compound, somehow it managed to survive the fire. In that box I found a ribbon, I remember it being stuck in a tree I climbed and fell out of as a kid. For some reason it felt like something I couldn't get rid of but now it makes sense. Looks like I remembered our promise after all. Sorry it took so long to return.

Tears began to flow down Kyoko's smiling face as she finished reading the note, which left her with one thing she knew for sure.

"Stupid Tora."
